Was ok decent enough food not much to say

Very friendly, helpful staff, quick service, reasonable prices and not bad food. However, unlike most restaurants now, no well-behaved dogs allowed, unless you want to freeze to death outside, despite an enormous inside space where a dog- friendly area could easily be established. Vegan/vegetarian menu poor and unimaginative. Menu generally - typical and predictable. Serve yourself hot drinks, but refills are free. Place looks scruffy and run-down. Road full of pot holes. Shame.

Plenty of parking and the usual warm welcome and fantastic service here. There was no queue so we were served quickly. We thoroughly enjoyed our mains with 40% off today!

Had a Sunday lunch which was massive. Highly recommend. Deffos going back.

Really bad service, we were made to feel very unwelcome. We usually always come here for dinner without needing to book so we came and there was no one around so we went in and tried to see if there was any seats and was met by a woman who had an attitude as soon as she realised we hadn’t booked, she said well everyone else here has booked and obviously if the table says reserved it’s reserved and it’s an hour wait for food by the way even though there was a big sign by the door saying 30minute wait. We wouldn’t have minded waiting but felt too uncomfortable and judged so we left feeling very disappointed, I don’t get to go out with my dad very often and we usually enjoy coming here.

I can not rate this place higher. If I could give it 10 stars, I would. It scores on cleanliness, value for money, friendliness, and family-friendly. It is also highly suitable for disabled access. What can I say, if you are looking for a place to eat, then go there. The staff are simply the best. Helpful without hovering over you, and the food is utterly delicious. I don't think there's a better tasting roast dinner anywhere in Kent, or Sussex.

We came for Valentine’s Day with my husband. As you can imagine in a mood for celebration. We ordered Mixed fresh salad for £7.09. Imagine when we received it how disappointed we were. It was literally a salad in a coffee mug. I couldn’t believe my eyes. As you can on the picture this is definitely not worth £7.09. What if I wanted to have just a salad I would have left starving. Definitely don’t order that salad!

Staff are lovely. The food was good .

Firstly trying to book this restaurant on there website is impossible, theres never any availability but when you go there it’s empty. I went with my husband and teenage son, I had the smothered platter and they both had mix grills. The portion size was tiny, it came out on a normal size plate and being as the mix grills were nearly £19 and the smothered chicken was £15 this was very disappointing. The gammon steak was barely cooked and about 2 inches by 2 inches big, the steak was the same size and was too chewy to even eat. The plate was mainly filled with onion rings and chips which was the only decent thing on the plates. We left and within 15 mins my son threw up. Will not be going back, absolutely dreadful.

We visited yesterday evening for dinner.. standard Brewers Fayre dinner.. we ordered two children's 2 course meals.. what was advertised as garlic flatbread for their starter, came out as a slice of garlic bread, not flatbread.. but the food was tasty and it was served quickly.. we all cleared our plates.. the restaurant was empty, but it was a Thursday evening.. Nice and friendly staff.. would go back for somewhere quick and easy to go.

Apart from the carpark puddles and certain types pushing in the queue for the carvery (rules don’t apply to all!), we still had a thoroughly wonderful time thanks to Charmaine, Scott and the dark haired ladies serving and on the bar. The food is great and good value but it is the team here who make this place so fab. Thank you again!

Visited with some work colleagues, hoping to get a meal. When we arrived we were told they only had the carvery to offer, which whilst it was very nice, it would have been nice to have had an option. Will still go back

Can't beat this place for the price and quality of their Sunday carvery. Been here a number of times now and the roasts have all been great. Would definitely recommend.

Lovely helpful members of staff. All so pleasant and smiley. Never over the years had the slightest reason not to give them, the chefs and the quality of all their dishes 5 + + + Stars ratings. Always busy and you can see why.

Called in on a Monday tea time, I'd had a mare of a day on the M25 (usual I know !! ) and need a bit of tea before heading back to Lincolnshire but didn't want a Mac D or fast food so popped in here. Was met by a nice freindly member of staff who showed me straight to a table, lovely and warm in the pub, I ordered Gammon with 2 fried eggs, I didn't have to wait long, the gammon and eggs were cooked to perfection, the food was piping hot, and clearly had not been sat under a hot lamp at all. It's definitely worth a visit, lovely staff, thank you. The car park could definitely do with a tidy up, but certainly don't let that put you off.

We had a wonderful lunch time meal with service with a smile. Have been here many times. Very reasonable prices. My wife has mobility issues but the staff are so kind.

Fantastic food, amazing staff who really care. Used the allergy manual to pick gluten free (coeliac) nothing to much trouble, brought me my own cutlery. Had Berry cheesecake for dessert something I've not had since 2009 very nice! Highly recommend

I am somewhat disappointed about the drive into the restaurant never being properly repaired is with all the heavy rain with huge puddles one cannot see the deep holes that could damage cars.

We visit here every few months and every time that we go for a nice Calvary it's always nice on display. There's such friendly staff and the food is always lovely and hot and it's good value for money at £11 each for a carvery can't be bad and you can go back for more vegetables if you want. you can have a nice dessert afterwards. So yes, this is a very five star place to go to and it's our favourite because we've never had a bad Carvery yet. We'd like to say a big thank you to all the staff for making us feel so welcome every time we go there. Bubbly friendly

We had the Smothered Platter and it was well prepared and the steak was as ordered. The staff and Charmaine are very polite and friendly, they ask if you have allergies on entering and when you order. The tables were clean and the whole time we were there we didn't have an problems

Outstanding. My first time here with the family today and we loved it. The carvery was absolutely delicious! A lovely selection of meats with all the trimmings! Top quality. The service was on point too. Such a friendly place and look forward to coming here again and again!

We regularly use Brookers Oast, even though, until last month when it closed permanently, there was a Brewers Fayre very close to our home. The staff at Brookers Oast, in particular the manager, are always welcoming, smiling and appearing to be enjoying serving us. The food is good and the prices are very reasonable. There is always a friendly atmosphere at this restaurant. Well recommend.

Me and my family really love brookers oast , we come for a lot of our family gatherings including birthdays and Xmas , we came yesterday for a birthday meal, always very friendly staff , good offers to bring the price down , the staff really get to know you , and take the time to talk to my children . The food is yummy too !

Inside ok but garden very run down most of the tables either broken,rotten or very unsafe they tip when sat on grass unkept terrible state.

Nice restaurant and staff efficient but food portions have gotten smaller. Coffee is good and one is given a mug so you can help yourself. Parking isn't an issue.

Great staff and a nice selection of food very reasonable prices. The beer selection is excellent it’s worth getting the bonus points card

This restaurant is extremely well run, and friendly. My daughter has many food allergies and Brookers Oast and the managers and team always take extremely good care of her. The fact that the food is tasty, very reasonably priced and superbly presented and served adds to the excellence of the eating experience. I would recommend Brookers Oast to everyone, for families, for quiet evening meals for get together with friends and colleagues.

Love love love this place. My husband and I went for lunch today. We said its like coming home. We are always soo welcomed by all the staff,,Charmaine, Scott, Nicola just to name a few are all fantastic soo helpful. Always remember everything about us, favourite table , my grandsons allergy. Not a bad place. Food nice. Staff very nice. Went there as in walking distance from The Hop Farm where we were staying.

No signs on roadside to indicate it’s there. Only knew as have been before. Food okay but nothing special.

What a vile rude arrogant manageress , her staff advised they where still open for another half hours or so, just as we were ordering , she Rudely came up and and told us in a rude attitude to leave as they weren’t serving anymore. Even tho we said we had been advised they were, her attitude was so rude and she said “I’m the manager not them” Not the first time this rude women has put us off, won’t be returning to this establishment unless she no longer works there. Disgraceful customer service.

Amazing! I don't often leave reviews but this place definitely deserves it. My family spent the bank holiday weekend camping at the hop farm which is right next to Brookers oast. We got chatting to a couple who recommended the carvery. Luckily they told us we'd need to book before hand. We would have anyway as we were a party of 13 but any party size would need to. There wasn't space inside for us but with the weather being so good we were happy to sit outside with our carvery and drinks in the pub garden. When the kids had finished they could go in the play park, which was close enough to keep an eye on them from our table. The food was amazing and the staff were lovely! Had a really great time and will definitely be back! Cannot recommend it enough!! Thank you to the wonderful staff at Brookers Oast who made our experience even better. 10/10

Amazing place for family's , nothings to much trouble . And Scott H is an amazing nothing was to much bother and was very helpful with all that was asked.

Great food, pity most of the festive items were sold out though, but food was good, and service was great.

Mys 1st couple of food choices were sold out, but what our table had to eat was very nice.

The usual warm welcome from Charmaine, Scott and the team . We enjoyed a delicious, fresh and leisurely carvery in the usual cosy environment with soft drinks and tasty cappuccinos too! The price is more than fair . As always i must say that Brewers Fayre needs to honour the lofty heights of its staff by sorting the carpark (currently hugely out-of-shape) and giving Brookers Oast a well-deserved renovation!

I am thoroughly disgusted the way this restaurant treated us, booked for 5.30pm, then told they couldn't do this though already booked and accepted, so agreed to move to 6.30pm, then told they couldn't do this time and they could only do 8.45pm. Avoid

Extremely difficult to find as totally off the main road system and sat nav couldn't locate - finally found by pure chance only to find it was CLOSED for a private function. That is 2 hours of my life I will not get back!

Another enjoyable visit to Brookers Oast where you can be sure of a warm welcome from Charmaine, Scott and their team. We had a nice table, there was no queue and the carvery was scrumptious! The coffee is great too!

A group of 10 friends met for Sunday lunch and we had a lovely time. Staff were welcoming and helpful. The carvery was very nice, and the fish pie also received a good response. Once we understood the ordering system, which is simple, it was a very relaxing afternoon topped off with a Knickerbocker Glory. We will be going back. Even better, as BlueLight card holders we get £ off the bill. What more could you want.

We always thoroughly enjoy this venue and especially on Christmas Day. The food is great value , everything looks festive and the staff are fun and really are the icing on the mince pie! Today we could not attend due to sickness but Charmaine and team made absolute sure we had our delicious lunch served hot ready for take-away and it really made our Christmas Day more special!

I can’t describe how nice the staff and the food is, in equal measure! So good, we had Christmas dinner here and once again we’re not disappointed. It makes all the difference getting a warm welcome and the staff go above and beyond. Fantastic experience and 6 stars out of 5!

Excellent service booked this Xmas meal because we missed out last year and I was not disappointed wonderful food looking forward to our next meal

The food was as was the service my problem was having to clean my car and trousers which were covered in mud from there poorly lit car park and full of puddles and the driveway full of pot holes

A few attempts over the past couple of months to go in for a meal during the week, we have been met with 'we are just closing'... (err it's 7pm ???) then the next time it was sorry, 'problems in kitchen /staff issue'. What should have been third time lucky, (why did we even bother) we were told they were 'fully booked' and couldn't be seated as we hadn't 'pre booked''. What?? The place was almost empty. Didnt look booked up to us. I could understand if it was Easter or Christmas etc when places get booked up. But it was just an ordinary day. There were only a handful of tables occupied so we couldn't quite understand whe insistence of having a booking. I wouldn't recommend this place due to above comments. If you do decide to go there for an evening meal, I'd suggest calling ahead to make sure they're actually going to stay open beyond 7pm. Maybe it was just our bad luck each time, but three times. Hmm... 😕

We have been to several Brewers Fayre’s Bookers Oast is far the best. Also the best carvery on Sunday

We had a party of 19 and having booked early we were seated on 2 long tables together. There was choice for all to be satisfied in their choice of meal, The staff were helpful and the place was clean and well looked after. As a large venue it was impressive that the place was fully booked (on a Sunday) so I would advise early booking. It would be 5 stars but we had to go order at the bar for both food and drinks so we all ended up eating at different times.

The restaurant food choice and staff are all first class. Food is always hot tasty and value for money. Staff are always friendly and ready to help anyway they can. BUT PLEASE PLEASE get the driveway approach repaired before someone does some serious damage to there car, there is so much water laying there that you can’t see the massive pothole until you hit it.

Medium well steak came out rare. Plate was full of the blood juices.

Don't know if under new management but recent visit was disappointing.
