Excellent sports bar, fantastic beer and friendly, cheery service. Best bar in Tonbridge.

I had drinks with my friends here for my birthday on Saturday night, and it’s was such a great night. They had the rugby on the telly during the day, then had live Dj music in the evening. The staff were super friendly, and had even pre-reserved our tables for us, with a cool label with our name on it before we arrived. We 100% recommends The Gatehouse for a regular visit or if your celebrating something, they are really helpful.

Nice staff, good service and the food is pretty good too.

Short queue , fast service and lovely pot of tea. The strawberry milkshake was artificial tasting. We had comfortable seating.

Food was great, good beer choices (biased for Landlord). Would come back if on a work trip again.

It's a pretty average pub really. There's nothing particularly wrong with it, but there's nothing extra special either. They do a good selection of largers and craft beers and a few good alcohol free options on top of loads of soft drinks. Pricing is pretty average with 2 for 1 on some drinks till 7pm on weekdays which. The food is ok, but they recently changed their menu and increased the prices.

Always a must if you're in Town (Tonbridge). The bar staff are always down for a laugh and have great over bar banter. Andy, the manager, is old school and never fails to make you feel welcome. ABSOLUTELY 5 STAR

Very nice atmosphere and good service. Was quite busy at lunchtime but the food and drinks were brought quickly. Fab cheese toastie and fries!!

Absolutely love coming here for coffees in the morning, while they do have outdoor seating, it’s on the high street and can be a tad nosier. Inside is just wonderful

They’re vegan brownies are but a fraction of what they used to be. Not worth the money any more despite the fact they are nice to eat.

Tried the cheese toastie which was rather tasty albeit pricey. Nice milkshake and cappuccino. The server at the counter was not overly warm but those delivering the food were very friendly . The atmosphere here is lovely and it is always busy.

Good selection of wines and beers. Screens all over for great football views. Pool table up away from the main area. Pub food, very affordable.. All good

Pleasant, busy pub with grub in Tonbridge High Street. Staff were pretty rushed, so I'll forgive the slightly impersonal bar service. Food was hot and tasty. Beer selection limited.

This establishment was really buzzing today as other cafes were closed. The food & drinks were tasty and fairly priced. The staff did not seem to know what the TN Card allowed and it seems to be very limited sadly and varies according to time of day. Staff today were rushed and frosty.

Not fancy, down to earth, nice food and choice of drink. Kids menu available too. Plenty seating inside. Will go back.

Always love coming here. Service is fast, drinks are reasonable and tasty. Location is very central. The tables are very spread out which is unusual but wonderful!

To be honest.. its a bit to trendy for me . Rather loud music.. and the beer range was all too FRUITY.

Decent pub to get some food and watch sports on tv. Music isn't too loud either, so you can actually have a conversation!

Came in from the cold after a long day to have a drink, a bite to eat and to watch the Six Nations rugby. Great atmosphere and nice vibe. The steak and ale pie was delicious and there is a good range of beers and cocktails. Would highly recommend if in the area.

Went here for the bottomless brunch, wasn't very impressed with how we was treated to start with ,then the manager probably realised we was gonna leave she then became a great host couldn't fault her , the wasn't to write home about it was just ok , lovely place to socialise and lovely bar staff

Great pub and nice staff but the food it’s not so good. I ordered a pizza and it clearly had a freeze base, too crunchy. The halloumi salad wasn’t so bad but the broccoli were cold like ice, they could warm them as they did for the quinoa and halloumi.

Great coffee and food served with a smile. This is what good customer service looks like. They also now serve some great festive hot chocolate...recommended.

Average 'craft ale' pub with ok food but totally spoiled by the 6, yes 6, massive screens all streaming sports channels. Edit: After receiving the below response from the owner it's clear that they see themselves as a Sports Bar hence the screens. I would add that it may save disappointment if their Google listing made this clear!

Good selection of food food at a reasonable price. Staff were friendly and welcomed dogs, brought water and a treat for the dogs which was very kind. Plenty of seating and some games we played. Guess who could do with being replaced but otherwise a perfect visit. Would highly recommend.

Fab place, great food and amazing decor

Very reasonably priced food that is tasty. I ordered the pizza cone, yep, that's a thing. A pizza shaped into a cone filled with dirty fries! They have a pizza and drink deal for £9.00 (£10 with an alcoholic drink). Decent price none the less. There was seating and not too much noise from TVs (that show sports).

Brilliant atmosphere and food menu! I'd definitely recommend this place to anyone who is looking for somewhere to eat out within the Tonbridge area.

Great hen night last night, staff were brilliant

I ordered a burger for 12.5 pounds and I can confidently say that it was the worst burger that I have ever tasted in my life. To be quite honest, it was disgusting. I took one bite and I immediately went to the bathroom to spit it out. I find it disgraceful that you charge so much for a burger and don't even take the time to make it special. The beef patty was overcooked, the sauce was atrocious, the chicken was gross and the bun was dry. The girl working behind the bar was nice and the guinness was great but to say the food was a dissapointment is an understatement of the highest class.

Initially a good experience. F1 being shown was a bonus and was considering returning for the British GP as it was due to be shown. Unfortunately receiving aggrevation from the bar staffs acquaintances means I'm completely turned off returning as I was with my young family.

You go in there and you feel completely stressed. It is full of cackling yummy mummies with screaming children. I love the food which is why I go there sometimes. I haven't been upstairs yet, maybe that is better.Good healthy food options but quite expensive.

Try their toasties - second to none! Shame their breakfasts don't include an egg/ baked beans/ sausage and brownie combination but otherwise difficult to fault.

I came here for the first time on Saturday to meet a group of friends. There were 30 of us and we had a reserved seating area. Very busy pub, good service. Prices average. I didn't use the toilets so I can't comment on their cleanliness. I will visit again
