The best restaurants serving British food in Shepway South East

Great pub with lots of character and separate areas where you can sit. I had an Asian noodle dish with king prawns which was delicious. Good service and v friendly.

Thoroughly enjoyed our unexpected Christmas dinner. We stayed in the hotel room only, so got a special price voucher to get a meal in the restaurant fir a bargain price. We had a seafood starter, followed by turkey and gammon with trimmings. After was a lovely selection of gateau, plus we could have had Christmas pudding. Followed this with cheeses and crackers. A complimentary glass of fizz and not forgetting the crackers and unlimited hot drinks. We were so full, we were burstin ( excuse the pun). Definitely eat here again, even at the full price, as worth every penny.

Very tired in places and exceptionally expensive for the encounters.

Far too many tables for space available very squished in here. Dog friendly Worst menu choice for food however food ordered was delicious. And no cheese in the burger (strange)

Environment was comfortable - busy but also a very nice buzz. Both servers were so nice and kind. And friendly. Had to thank the chef for his food. Very talented. Neither of us had experienced food like it. Everything was so tasty, quality ingredients and cooked well. We had the satay chicken bowl and the Buddha bowl. Both excellent. The decaf tea and breakfast tea pots were the best we've had. Various choices of types of milks. I think 3 or 4. Maybe more. 5 stars.

After a long 2hour dog walk, 4 hoomans & 5 bassets , we visited here for a fantastic Sunday lunch, food was absolutely delicious, I had the beef and it was so tasty & tender, others in my group had the pork and they found it delicious too! Cauliflower cheese was included with the beef and it was so tasty, highly recommend Will definitely be returning 😃❤️

wonderful place, came here after tiring and disappointing day of fossil hunting and the service and food just blew new life in me. unforgettable and can't wait to return again.

Very nice Sunday lunch but very disappointed when we ordered roast beef to be told they had run out of Yorkshire pudding. Perhaps we should have been told when booking a table, which they said we could have at 3.00pm because they were busy, that they may have sold out of some dishes. Might I suggest that when the chef makes them he always has some in the freezer! That said we did enjoy the roast and the live music was outstanding from the 2 young men from London. We will go again but book a lunch table for much earlier. Good atmosphere and very nice staff.

The carvery was absolutely delicious! Potatoes and beef were perfect 😊 The staff are very friendly and provide very good service.

Actually ordered takeaway by error thinking this was Bella Vita, couldn’t eat the pizza, threw them away. Total sloppy mess. Wasted £40. Avoid!

We popped in for a drink before we could book into our caravan. We went furthest away from people as we have a big dog and we're eating. But they were welcoming, and the size dog we have didn't seem to bother them. Thank you.

A nice little pub, great service. Food is decent for the price. The serving staff are fabulous and definitely help you feel relaxed

Absolute nightmare, dust everywhere made our faces swell up. Undercooked breakfast would have been easier to cook myself. Room very small be ok for an hamster. Really poor not played fairly guys.
