The best restaurants serving British food in Shepway South East

Food was excellent, lovely restaurant and very cosy, but the service felt rushed. The FOA seemed stressed and it rubbed off on us from the get go. The service matters just as much as the food when you’re paying this money for a meal and we felt like a nuisance. Later my partner had to get up and ask for our bread so we could eat it with our starter. This place do a lot of things right so it was a bit disappointing. We enjoyed our meal anyway

We come to Beach 48 everytime we come to Dymchurch. Never had a disappointing meal. The fish and chips are the best we have ever tasted. And the Monday to Friday mid week special of cod and chips with mushy peas, drink and pudding for £10 is a winner for us... KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!!!!

Just got back from The Warren after having Sunday lunch, once again the food was lovely and the staff friendly, thanks again for a tasty Sunday lunch

Having not eaten here for years. We were treated to a Sunday roast dinner. The food was lovely. The staff are great. Then we played crib there at 4pm with a great group of people. Looking forward to the next meal there.

Busy cafe. We waited for a table and were not disappointed. Food was to a very high standard. BLT sub for me and tuna mayo brown bread sandwich first class. Each was accompanied by a small side salad and tortilla chips.

Newchurch House is without doubt a place to visit. The food is amazing, the service was brilliant and the setting was perfect. A truly very relaxed 2-3 hours spent in good company, where you could have normal conversations without having to shout above loud music etc. With thanks to Michelle and her team for giving us a memorable lunch. We will be returning for sure.

After looking at reviews, we decided to give this place a try and we were not disappointed. My fiancé had a normal size roast and I went for the big boy roast, which was seriously made for a big boy. Really not tight with the meat amount either. Great place for a Sunday lunch and no doubt we will be back when next near Folkestone. Staff was really friendly to, great all round!

Popped in here for food one Friday lunchtime, Don’t serve food. Shame. Nice atmosphere and lots of people in!

Great food in a charming environment. All for a good cause and v wholesome. I would thoroughly recommend!

The food was decent but the cheeseburger wasn’t as good but the ice cream was really nice all different foods there was I would recommend

We thoroughly enjoyed the honeycomb icecream , it had huge chunks of honeycomb you will never find elsewhere! AND the signature Amaretto flavour is just right, just enough flavour without being too strong. This little shop is perfectly located near the beach, train, fair & car parks. The owners are extremely friendly and helpful. Look forward to our next visit .

We are on holiday and stopped in for some lunch our puppy was crying outside they said he could come in and they gave him a treat nice people

What a fantastic place to stay. Right opposite the lovely miniature railway and not far from the seafront. The high street is a few minutes walk with an abundance of cafes and restaurants. Highly recommended.
