The best restaurants serving British food in Shepway South East

Lovely locals pub, showing all sorts of sports and races on the large TV screens.

We were told to sit outside even though there was lots of space inside. The food was ready fairly quickly. The fish was good, and they served vinegar and salt. I would have preferred if the chips were more crispy. They didn't have toilets, but they served drinks. The chairs weren't comfy.

Brilliant restaurant and lovely food. The owners can't do enough for you. Pleasant and friendly atmosphere. It's not a huge place so it is easy to have a conversation and not have to shout above other diners.

The food was decent but the cheeseburger wasn’t as good but the ice cream was really nice all different foods there was I would recommend

We are on holiday and stopped in for some lunch our puppy was crying outside they said he could come in and they gave him a treat nice people

Six of us ate in this lovely fish & chip restaurant and a choice well made. Chips were light & crispy on the outside & fluffy on the inside. Cod was cooked to perfection with a lovely light crispy batter. The young guy who served us (had braces), was an absolute credit to your restaurant. Very polite, such a lovely guy and the orders were exact an fairly quick too. If all businesses had a guy like him, the world would be a much better place. Can’t give him enough credit, 10/10

My daughter and I popped in for superb tea & scones: everything perfect - speedy & friendly service (esp. Hayden & Toula). We shall be back. Forza!!!

Booked last minute and arrived late. Easy check-in over WhatsApp. Given upgrade and room was great, better than expected. I was worried about any noise but really quiet, slept well. Would definitely book again, oh and great price can't beat!

Cozy environment that makes you feel like a friend has just invited you over for dinner. Fabulous menu that’s simple yet refined. The ladies at the front were a great laugh and made fabulous recommendations. If you’re in Folkestone this should definitely be your first choice for a meal.

What a fantastic pub! Staying nearby at Beechborough Park before taking Eurotunnel and found this delightful pub for dinner. The pub itself is welcoming, the atmosphere was charming, the food and ale was delicious and the staff were exemplary. I cannot praise this place enough, thoroughly recommended.

My brothers and I were staying at the nearby caravan site Marlie, and wanted somewhere locally to dine. We booked a table and, upon arrival, ordered some drinks before being seated. They allowed us to keep an open tab, which was convenient. There was a decent and nice looking menu. I ordered the steak and Stilton pie, which was plentiful and delicious and my brothers were equally happy with their food choices. The service was good and there is a lovely ambiance too, really cosy and they kept the log burner going throughout the evening, which was lovely. After our meal we stayed and chatted, whilst enjoying more drinks. We were never rushed and had a great evening.

Having not eaten here for years. We were treated to a Sunday roast dinner. The food was lovely. The staff are great. Then we played crib there at 4pm with a great group of people. Looking forward to the next meal there.

Busy cafe. We waited for a table and were not disappointed. Food was to a very high standard. BLT sub for me and tuna mayo brown bread sandwich first class. Each was accompanied by a small side salad and tortilla chips.

After looking at reviews, we decided to give this place a try and we were not disappointed. My fiancé had a normal size roast and I went for the big boy roast, which was seriously made for a big boy. Really not tight with the meat amount either. Great place for a Sunday lunch and no doubt we will be back when next near Folkestone. Staff was really friendly to, great all round!
