Fantastic Sunday roast!! £13 !! An absolute bargain!! Couldn’t even manage a dessert. Well we will definitely be back, what a find !

We were passing through and decided to eat here, check the specials board, I had steak and ale pie, mash and veg £7.50 my wife had a sub and we had to first cokes came to £19. Good polite service will come back again.

Very dog friendly, came over with water bowl and treats. Food portions were big and fairly priced.

Our annual visit to the Cinque Ports collided with a fantastic summer festival which included an upcoming band and our new favourites: mixed emotions! Incredible turn out for a really talented band. I can tell you now, this band will never forget this pub! Even when they’re performing at Glastonbury, Reading & Leeds!

Cracking Sunday roast dinner. Had the belly pork twice now. Perfect crackling on it. Roast spuds spot on and a bangin little jug of gravy on the side. Decent homemade Yorkshire pudding as well. Will definitely call again when I'm in the area.

Nice pub. Food is ok. A bit of a shame that nothing seems to be freshly made on the menu.

Fantastic experience. Went in for a beer and a small plate but wish we would have gotten a full meal. The appetizers were very good and the atmosphere is really nice. Next time I stop through town I plan on going back to try more!

Had a lovely afternoon Attending a Christening celebration party . Venue was comfortable for a large gathering. The Buffett served a good variety of food and constantly re filled when empty. Staff were friendly, I can highly recommend this pub.

Had a lovely breakfast on a miserable Saturday morning. Weather was very windy and it constantly rained! Just what us Brits like at the beginning of our Summer season (!) Great breakfast, great service and a good place to be if you love football .....

Pub food meal with a huge shared chicken platter and a couple of real nice beers. Friendly staff and a huge pub with seating for such a small outside of the building. So friendly and welcoming. We were staying in the area and fancied looking around the small town so we took the bus from Hythe.

Went for lunch with a friend,lovely friendly pub,the barman is a credit to them ,very friendly ,efficient,tentative, great customer service.The menu caters for all,great prices and food was served quick and absolutely delicious Definetly will be back and recommend.

We have previously had some fantastic food here, but had a terrible time when we visited on Sunday. We rang ahead to ask for a table and were advised that we could order food up to 8pm. We said that we were 10 minutes away, arrived just before 8pm, ordered our food but were then asked what table we were sitting at. Went back to the table to find out, then when we got back to the bar, were told that we were too late for food, even though we had placed the order. Was a real shame as it was our last night and we had previously had such a good time before.

What an amazing Sunday roast and experience. The food was beautiful, hot and plenty of it. Price is very reasonable. The staff are so attentive. Always round asking if we needed anything. The pub is beautifully decorated and the garden is lovely. Shame weather not to great to enjoy it . I would highly recommend this pub. A gem! Looking forward to visiting again.

Had an amazing Sunday dinner, the food was amazing, I had the Belly Pork Roast, the service was fantastic, my family were really impressed and can't wait to come back for a lovely meal

Food was awful. Sunday Roast Ha! More like burnt toast!! Literally had no taste whatsoever and the roast potatoes tasted like they were cooked the week before and reheated. On a positive note the car park opposite was empty!

Overall great establishment. Excellent Staff who are quick to take your order. Lots of room for various size groups and a great patio with TVs to watch Sports in the back of the pub.

Fantastic Roast Lunch for three of us. Could not fault the food, the lovely veggies, and outstanding service from the young lady who looked after us very attentively. £70 for three roasts, puds and drinks. Excellent, will keep going back.

Good pub to visit. When you first walk in, you think it's quite small, but as you walk around, it opens up in to to a bigger space with a lovely beer garden. Staff are amazing, friendly, and very accommodating. The food was great, and there was a good little menu to choose from. Their cheesy chips are the best. Will be going back.

Pleasant enough, two on cask and friendly place. They closed early while I was there because it was so quiet, which was slightly annoying because Mrs Bittershurn felt under pressure to drink quickly. I'd give 3.5 if I could.

Amazing pub, great staff, great food and reasonably priced! Spent three days at Romney Sands Holiday Park recently (an hour walk away) and really enjoyed the pub. Messenger Messaged them for Sunday opening times and was so grateful of the prompt answer. We were blessed with sunshine and the outside area was welcoming and the new outside bar area is great. We are two chefs by trade and usually so critical of eating out but the Turkey Roast Dinner was delicious, plentiful and good value for money. Simply cannot fault the place. Cannot recommend this pub highly enough. We will definitely return Peter and Leah

Choice of beers was disappointing and locals rowdy. Not for anyone who is not local or likes good real ale. Although friendly.

We had dinner here last week May 2023. Sirloin steak £20, lots of grissel and fat, not a lot of meat quite tough. A Mountain of chips, salad extra, was excellent, fresh and very nice. My partner had a burger, dry, tough and not good, again a Mountain of chips, overall not a very good experience. Being a pale ale drinker, beers to suit me were dark and horrible, had to have lager which I did not want.

Such a welcoming pub to go to. Made us and the dogs very welcome. Made friends with one of the locals dog, such a pretty pooch.The locals were so friendly. Its a pub I'd love near us. If we came your way again we will pop in. Thank you for having us x

Went for a family Sunday roast service was quick staff very polite and helpful my mum's in a wheelchair and they were so attentive to ensuring she was relaxed service wad quick and all our meals and desserts despite being different were well cooked good portions definitely would eat there again lovely experience and food

Beautifully decorated pub with a very good choice of items on their menu. Yes this place gets rowdy on a Friday and Saturday evening but during the day time they are popular but not crazy and you can have a lovely lunch or dinner and have a chat easily.

Went for a Christmas meal with work, prawn and crab cocktail for a starter was delishous, turkey Christmas dinner was wonderful and the triffle is the best my wife has ever had apparently, considering her dad is a chef who cooked for the Queen and made a mean trifle, that's a compliment.

I’ve been popping in to this great pub over the last couple of years, while visiting family and holidaying in New Romney ❤️ It’s a very welcoming and comfortable pub. Staff are great, really friendly. This is always a must, for a few pints while I’m visiting ❤️

Very good , we were made very welcome, and after ordering drinks, it was suggested we sat outside in the garden, to await our meals, on a hot day we found some shade, to eat I had a special, Jack fruit lasagne, which was surprisingly tasty Can recommend if you are passing through New Romney

Went to New Romney for the day pub looked nice from outside so went in. Was greeted with lovely smile and warm welcome. Plenty on menu, and was offered gluten free options. Had ham,eggs and rustic chips, hubby had veggie burger both really nice, plenty of chips.very clean looks . Someone spilt drink,was immediately cleaned up with safety board put out. We will be back. Loos immaculate 🌟🌟

Nice atmosphere, large beer garden, prices are reasonable and food is good. From the outside the pub looks small, but it’s a bit of a tardis inside. Towards the beer garden there’s a second bar too that handily serves a reduced selection of beers, wines and soft drinks on offer.

Fantastic, well managed pub with a friendly landlady who's brought her creative style to this comfortable establishment. The interior and exterior garden seating stretches on like the inside of the TARDIS. Well worth visiting time and again.

Popped in here on last day of holiday for breakfast. Such a lovely place! Nice, cosy corners to sit in. Very clean and nice decor. Can't comment on dinner menu, but nice choice for breakfast. Staff friendly and helpful.

Visited today. Staff were pleasant But the menu wasn't anything special. Would have been nice if they had had a few more light lunch options I.e Jacket spud, soup. Ordered a burger and it was a bit dry. Where the restaurant bit was came across a bit diner ish. Shame, don't think I'll rush back.

We had a lovely meal. They had decorated for Christmas which was tastefully done,a very friendly atmosphere and great staff we will definitely be going back again in the near future.

We rang at 1500 on Sunday to enquire about a roast dinner… we were told to come on down and they wouldn’t let us down… they were so right! We arrived to a lovely warm welcome. Guided through the restaurant to a comfortable table… we found all the staff to be attentive and friendly, the service was truly impeccable. The food was prompt and lovely and hot. Generous portion sizes. Fantastic roast and lots of options on the regular menu. There was also a specials board that looked yummy! The weather was a bit pants today so we didn’t venture outside but the garden looked great. A brilliant use of the outside space from what we could see. We can’t wait to visit in the summer and try it out! We have recently purchased a holiday home in the area and we are happy to call The Cinque Ports our weekend getaway local! Thanks for being so accommodating and smashing that customer service! Spot on!

Good pub with a fantastic garden space out the back. Regular music events from live to DJ's , good food and nice decor to boot. Good range of beers and ales at extremely competitive prices. Highly recommended. x

Friendly, lovely pub that offers good food. We visited a couple of times whilst on holiday. Staff were very helpful and friendly and we enjoyed the food very much.

The beer was very good but I despite me saying hello I received absolutely no greeting and actually felt like more of an inconvenience to the bar staff for coming in. Judging by the reaction to someone else though it seems regulars are welcomed well but strangers should expect a less than warm welcome. The table I sat at was also still sticky and wet from the previous punter. I really would like to like it here and hope that this was just a one off bad experience but I was really underwhelmed and won’t be rushing back.

A very clean and friendly place to have a drink, the staff were polit and helpful, the pints were tasty and crisp due to clean lines.

Great old public house with a sorrowful recent past. Locally known as a 'Drive Through' because three cars have tried to do just that. Drunken behaviour has required constant door security. At last the penny has dropped and the very real prospect of a secure catering future has dawned on the owners. We wish them every success and a happy future.
