Staff lovely and food great, only disappointment was my strawberry milkshake which did not taste nice. I would suggest that they try to avoid using an Milkshake full of artificial flavors and gums. Instead, use a higher-quality vanilla ice cream that is made with actual milk and cream. It will create a much tastier milkshake that is super rich and creamy with fresh ripe strawberries. I kindly informed a member of staff about my milkshake had no strawberry favour, just went on deaf ears.

The restaurant was difficult to find as it is out the back of the bar near the toilets, the bar staff were not very helpful when entering the pub or welcoming at all The food portions are very small, the battered Cod was very mushy in the middle and not enjoyable. Very disappointed in having oven chips rather than home made chips Overall not a great experience, I would not recommend it if you are after a typical sea side fish and chips.

Lovely clean comfy pub with plenty of parking, we didn't eat so can't comment on the food but a lovely place for a little rest stop while enjoying dymchurch.

As a local,I love the place.Becomes a pain when tourists and holidaymakers turn up, have these young yuppies with ankle biters ever been to a pub before?

An excellent lunch with friends. The staff are friendly and helpful. There's a very good choice on the menu. My wife is Gluten Free and they adapt her meal so that there is nothing which would upset her. With portion sizes more than ample, the excellent food is very good value for money.

Thought is was a good little pub but have just been sent a £100 parking charge through the post was a usual visitor and can't believe this has happened whilst I was within the venue. Is a shame and ruined Christmas.

Great meals & good service. I had the Christmas special the garlic mushrooms were lovely & the homemade stuffing was amazing. The ice-cream with Bailey's was also lovely.

An excellent dinner. From the warm, friendly staff to the well-presented, tasty food, there is nothing wanting. My wife is Gluten Free and the staff ensured that what food she had did not upset her diet. The portion sizes were more than ample and I had the scampi which was more than enough for me. Very good value for money.

Reasonably priced delicious meals.

This is a traditional British Pub. It has a public bar and a saloon bar where they serve an extensive choice of menu options including a number of vegitarian options. We liked it because its a proper pub and not a pub with a fancy restaurant attached. Food was reasonably priced and served promptly. Staff were very pleasant and the saloon bar was nicely decorated. There was a couple of real ale options at the bar. There were some cakes on display that looked great. Parking was directly outside. Not crowded out of season but probably gets busy at the height of the season. I have given the rating on the context of what it is. (Ie Its not a 5 star hotel/ restaurant.)

We all had different meals and no one complained about the food was very busy and you cannot book a table though we just got in before it got busy so found enough room l had pie mash not bad wasn’t enough liquor though but would go back even though it was rushed just put plates on table then went to serve others

Vast choice of menu, had the roast which was excellent. Every meal that came out looked delicious. Fast,efficient service . Very friendly.

pub was ok however I had a very poor attempt at a traditional pie mash and liquor, soggy pies crusty mash and the liquor was setting to a gel as it cooled down the whole meal had a reheated/microwave feel about it. may try some of the other food on offer next time but will avoid the pie and mash at all costs.

This was our first time eating at Ocean Inn, all our meals were hot and delicious. Even better I had pie, mash and liquor which was 10 outta 10.

Have recently moved to Dymchurch and thought I would give them a try. Where should I start I ordered my food at the bar for takeaway after getting home and opening my food I wasn’t pleasantly surprised as the meals were like kids meals and terrible value for money after paying £75.00 for the meal I feel like I have been robbed and defiantly will not be returning there. All I can say is if your hungry and want value for money please don’t go there.

Great little place, seafood is fresh and delicious. Separate bar and restaurant area, staff very friendly. Do try the cod!

Lovely pub with a great atmosphere. There’s a main bar and a separate dinning that’s a lot quieter. They also have a good sized garden for the children and a fair bit of outside seating. I was surprised how vast and varied the menu is, from fish and chips to lambs liver. Loads of fish and seafood choices. The fisherman’s basket was very tasty and ample, nice crispy chips too. The prices are fair too. They have a large car park but you have to put your registration number in at the bar if not you could get a fine. Worth a visit.

I like it here! Great big menu. Plenty of seating. A car park and a little play park for the children. Food is nice too! Always a short wait and the staff are always friendly and attentive:) definitely recommended to anyone visiting dymchurch :)

I don't think the owners and staff really want customers. They made it clear we weren't welcome in their empty pub on a Thursday afternoon.

Only went in for a drink after a hot day on the beach. Ended up having lunch as well. Stayed a couple of hours. Great food. Friendly atmosphere. Will definitely visit again

We have visited this pub for lunch several times and have never been disappointed. Small playground for the kids to run around and free parking if you register your car. We visited on Friday and the kids wanted a milkshake luckily they sell Shmoo milkshakes that are expertly made by Lou and she loves making them having made over 100 already she definitely is an expert because the kids thought they were amazing and it was great to see someone so happy in their work! Thanks Lou!

We were having a day out and decided to pop in for a cuppa and a slice of cake. It was very nice and the staff were very good too. We have since had an evening meal twice here. Food was very good and again the staff were excellent. Looking forward to going back.

We tried calling this place time and time again no answer then when we got there it wasn't busy at all the staff were rood and the food Was vile fish was oily and chips were rock hard

A wonderfully wide menu full of great plates of traditional meals ( stuff we eat daily ). The kids menu is very good and it will take many many visits to work our way through the whole range on their menu. The giant yorkie looks challenging.

Ok place for a quick pint, the food was basic but ok. Cleanliness seem lacking in certain aspects of the food side of things. The plastic condiment basket we were given with cutlery in looked like it hadn’t been washed in years, there were used condiment packets in the bottom which had leaked and gone over unused packets.

Just had fish and chips and it's one of the best iv had great food polite staff will be coming back again for some more food thanks

Prices are reasonable, food arrived very quickly. Fish was delicious and very tender. We really enjoyed our visit and the pub is dog friendly as well!

It was not very busy so had a choice of tables service was good very friendly food was very good we had a pudding as well l am a great pie mash person and ord it was really good going back for more

the food was gorgeous and the service was amazing, we only waited 10 minutes for our food and the beef and lamb roasts were incredible so lovely and fresh.

Avoid parking here. I went for dinner with my family, followed the instructions to register a permit to park but because the parking company didn’t register it, I’ve been sent a £100 Parking Charge Notice.

AVOID THIS CAR PARK AT ALL COSTS! After following all instructions to obtain a permit for parking, apparently there was no record and I’m now being chased for a £100 parking fine. Having spent over £150 in dinner I’m extremely disappointed.

A wonderful pub, very friendly staff that truly made every effort to perfect our experience. We had the cod and chips and the roast beef. fish is the best I've had in the whole of the south east coast and the roast also unbelievable. Not to mention the pudding too, Thank you to all the staff and chef for making our visit a memorable one. We will be back very soon

Avoid this like a plague, parked for 1 hr 20 mins then got parking fine for £100 only 30 mins after then you have to be permit holder.Scam. People avoid

My wife liked her sea bass. I had the traditional pie, mash and liquor. I didn't like the pie filling or the liquor. The mashed potatoes needed butter. The table was clean but sticky. The Doombar was fine.

Das Ocean Inn ist ein wirklich empfehlenswertes Restaurant. Das Essen war ausgezeichnet mit einer vielfältigen Auswahl und leckeren Nachttischen. Das Personal war äußerst freundlich und sorgte für eine angenehme Atmosphäre, die einer gemütlichen Bar glich. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist ebenfalls sehr gut. Insgesamt eine großartige Erfahrung, die ich gerne weiterempfehle.

Great pub right by the seafront. A group of 8 of us stopped at the ocean inn for lunch during our bike ride. One of the riders had come off his bike and had a nasty cut to his arm. Fortunately a member of staff at the pub (Mandy) is a trained first aider and did a fantastic job of patching him up. Thanks again Mandy. We all then had lunch. The food was excellent and served quickly and efficiently. The Doombar was perfect too! Well done to all the staff. We’ll definitely be back next time we are down your way.

Food was delicious, we had the fisherman's basket and our son had the steak, both were cooked flawlessly and looked amazing. Nice calm atmosphere which is a mist for our child with autism.

We are visiting on a short holiday with our children and spotted this place. Wonderful food and service, little area for the children to play right on the beach. Anyone wanting a spot or lunch this is perfect and reasonable prices too.

Avoid this pub and parking here. I have been here many times for food and drink. The last time I went, we parked in the car park and had drinks. Just over a week later, we have a parking ticket for £100 even though I was a customer and paid for drinks in the pub. I won't be going back

Had the Very disappointimg experience of dealing with a very antagonistic young waitress who was rude and confrontational. Waited over 40mins with young children for our food was not told wait times nearly got back to the car after the ticket had expired. Food ok but the waiting and waitress took the joy from it.

Made us feel welcomed, so was happy to give them our business, will definitely go back there again.

The glass i was given was filthy, lipstick all around the rim. I was given a straw luckily and although i dislike gin and tonic like that i drank from the straw. I realise glasses can get missed in the dishwasher, but staff should be taught to check before using a dirty glass.

Spent a delightful afternoon/evening here for the celebration wake of a sadly missed friend. The staff were all fantastic, friendly and super accommodating. The finger buffet was very nice too, plenty of tasty bits to enjoy. I'll be back... 👍👍👍👍👍

What a lovely oldy world pub and the food was gorgeous.

Whilst in the area we stopped in for a bite to eat, staff are friendly. Food was good, not a bad menu choice, good prices, always a good sign when your food comes out piping hot. Will return.

Típico público con zona de bar y de restaurante separada. Pescados del dia variados para el fish and chips. El pescado riquísimo Sándwiches,salchichas, algun plato vegetariano y postres y tartas caseras. Todo delicioso. Hemos estado en navidas, con la chimenea encendida y una bonita decoración. Ambiente muy agradable. Es recomendable reservar mesa. El servicio un poco lento y poco eficaz. Pero todo correcto, hay que ir sin prisas. Buena relación calidad precio. En verano hay zona de juegos para los niños exterior. Recomendable 100%.

We dropped in today for a bit of light lunch. We don't live locally but have visited in the past for lunch. We found it a lovely friendly pub with an extensive menu. Our food was faultless.

Nice bar persons, quiet with a nice atmosphere. Has live football on TV does food but did not eat there. Good selection of drinks. A bus stop close enough to walk to with services both ways allowing you to get well oiled and not pay over the top for a taxi service.

Have going to the ocean Inn for the last two years with no issues, good food and staff, But the last time we eat there we just had two prawrn sandwiches and coffee, did not like them one bit the prawns wer very hard like thay been put I a microwave to un freeze, and the coffee was very week in tast, cost over £20, did try to speek to some one but no one came to the counter, we just eat up and left, Next time we will go over the road to Tesco as it was cheeper there £11

Pleasant enough at the bar. Food came out in fewer minutes than it takes to cook peas! It tasted like they'd been cooked at least an hour ago and kept warm. Menus were sticky which didn't help with a feeling of general cleanliness. Fish and scampi tasted good though and would recommend.
