Romney Tavern in Shepway

Tavern is attached to the Park Dean resort. Didn't stop for more than a needed drink on the outside tables. Inside tables all looked as if they needed a wipedown, even though the place was extremely quiet when we went.

A very warm welcoming pub. A pub you could have as your regular. Maria was friendly enjoying abit of banter. Tyler is doing a fantastic job in the kitchen 👏 we'll done guys Thankyou very much

I cannot explain just how lovely this pub is! To keep it brief we have been coming here on holiday now for over 7 years & have always popped In to the tavern and liked it. But, since under new management and bar staff this place is fantastic!! Drinks, food, atmosphere are all just brilliant!!! As previously mentioned, glasses are always clean and the new menu is delicious!! The locals are among the friendliest I have ever come across and I’ve been to a few pubs in my time!!! Charlie who served us in the daytimes was super as always… However I have to say a special mention to Maria who works there. It’s crazy how someone’s warmth, hospitality and kindness can make such a difference to our holiday for myself and my family! Always service with a smile and fantastic attitude towards my children. A real credit to have someone like that on your team!! She is such a hard worker and the tavern is now reaping the rewards. I for one cannot wait to return hopefully in the next half term and enjoy a few drinks on the terrace looking out at the lovely view. Thank you to making what is always a lovely holiday an even better one this time!! All the best Toby

Fantastic little pub right on the seafront. It is under new management and you can definitely tell! Happy workers and a decent food menu. The drinks were cold, glasses clean, sports showing on the massive TV's! A great place to go if you're on your own because everybody is super friendly. Even if you don't find another drinker to chat with, the bar staff will make you feel welcome.

Popped in for a burger and chips with my son because we were staying at the holiday park. Ordered on the app. After 25 mins went to see when my drinks and food might arrive. Was told the order may or may not have gone through? Barmaid started frantically texting someone while talking to me. Gave me our drinks and said she'd let me know about the food. She didn't. 10 mins later burgers arrived. They were delicious. Let down by strange service.

Was visiting beach nearby and wanted a quick grab and go bite to eat, definitely was not quick service food took over 30mins we were the only customers in there so not sure what the delay was all about, when we finally recieved food the quality and quantity of food for what we paid was very poor. Kids nugget’s were the size of 10pence piece piece and the burgers were very soggy and had a nasty taste and the curry chips were not so nice either portion sizes need to be re looked at or simply reduce the prices!

We’d like to say thank you to angie for amazing service this last weekend. Me and my two aunties were treated like royalty considering we have a combined age of nearly 300 😃 we’ll definitely be back, music and food was first class. Accommodation better than home. We Rocked around the clock Hopefully we will be back in September Thanks the Free degrees

Visited the tavern which had a great atmosphere with live music and everyone singing and dancing with the bands, the staff were very friendly and efficient giving the whole experience an enjoyable feeling, I will definitely be visiting the tavern soon

Popped in on my own just because of the great views and location. Was really impressed!! Bar staff were friendly, food available that was cooked in the main restaurant and brought down. Lots of TV’s showing sports, wasn’t my thing but it brought the atmosphere. Pool table, dart board, fruit machines. Really nice evening chatting with some friendly regulars. It’s just what the area needs.

Quiet pub but nice place to meet up if you don't want the hustle bustle of inside the campsite. The food was nice. Good value for money.

The guys were really accommodating when we arrived tonight just as the kitchen was meant to close. They still did us food which was great. The staff were very friendly and the bar was nice.

After being at the kids show on resort we decided we needed some food, didn't fancy eating at the restaurant next to the show area as it was a tad noisy so we popped over to the Romney Tavern. This is owned / run by parkdean it appears, but wasn't aware of this before we went in as you sort of exit the resort area and go in from the coast road side. In terms of food there is not a massive choice, but we opted for the family meal deal which we thought was good value - two large pizzas (proper loaded up with toppings) and 4 large portions of chips as well as a bottle of Pepsi. Food was good! Added advantage of it being a pub type style place is we managed to get a few other drinks in as well! Staff were really friendly - served by Sam who ensured kids were OK and offered to give us take away boxes for anything we couldn't finish. We enjoyed the visit (as well as being incredibly full upon leaving!)

Been drinking in the Tavern for a few years it was always a bit hit or miss whether it was open or not Since Sam has been running it it's a great place to drink she's totally transformed the place Karaoke every Friday night, nice food ,great atmosphere Nothing is to much trouble for Sam she's a lovely person always with a smile on her face and very welcoming Keep up the good work Sam your doing a great job

Is this place actually open? I have been time and time again and the place is closed. I went tonight because online it states it's open and once again.......CLOSED!!! #NOTGOOD

First class service from Emma and jake the app to order was bit of a chore but staff were very helpful would recommend and beer was great 👍

No dogs allowed inside so we never bothered with the place.

Popped in here on Wed evening 4th Nov no one in there but a nice welcome with a nice pint of cider i imagine it could get very busy in the summer due to its location right next to Romney sends holiday park.

This area needs a great local. You would think the biggest holiday camp in the area would have put some effort in. Sadly not: overpriced beer served from a run down, don’t care bar has to make this one of my disappointments of the year. Sad because I really like the holiday camp. They have a great view, with a captive audience. So much potential; come on...

Limited menu but very nice had the lasagne best one for long time plus staff were very nice and checked if everything was ok with food a few things on the menu too to try will be back nice and clean too
