I’m very disappointed in all honesty. The calamari tasted and looked like fried chicken, it had no flavor. For mains I ordered the cod Thai green curry and my partner order the titan burger. The curry was awful, no flavor whatsoever even in the cod other than the spice from the chillies. My partner received the vegan moving mountains burger despite ordering the titan burger. Then had to wait 20 minutes for them to replace it. We left our food uneaten and no questions whatsoever from staff. Meanwhile they were asking other customers who had empty plates, if they enjoyed their food. In reality they don’t care if you enjoyed your food, they just care about your money.

On a horrid rainy New Year's Day I went into Eight with three friends for my birthday. Daniel & his team were absolutely lovely & made me feel special & really spoilt me. The food was delicious & the customer service outstanding. Thank you for a lovely time & a happy new year to you all.

This tea van in located in a layby in Portsmouth Road Cobham. It is a good stop off point for a hot beverage and snack. Food was fine and met the hygiene regulations.

We went for lunch so not a time when you'd expect it to be jam packed and yet it still had a really wamr atmosphere. I think that in part is due to the staff who were lovely. 5 star service, attentive but not fussing all the time. And the food was just the best, how amazing to go somewhere with an imaginative chef at the helm. All parts of the animal are used, the ingredients were seasonal. And the tates were divine. Honestly.if you like Brussel sprouts I'd give theirs a try, they with marmite so sounds like you wouldn't necessarily put the 2 flavours together, but they were amazing.

Make no mistake, The Albert Arms is back! Once the place to go in Esher, recent years have been disappointing, but no longer. New management, a consistently friendly welcome and a fabulous Sunday lunch. Deliciously pink roast beef, a proper Yorkshire pudding, perfectly cooked root vegetables and dishes of green vegetables and simply the best roast potatoes I have ever eaten away from home. Puddings were equally good, sticky toffee with caramelised bananas and ice cream was super and the Apple and red fruit crumble with vanilla custard received a rave review. Please go out of your way to enjoy a splendid lunch in a warm, friendly environment. We will be back. Thank you. PS If you prefer your roast beef less pink, say so, for our party it was perfect. One of the reasons the meat is so good is that is is sourced fresh from from Smithfield.

Visited The Old Plough on a busy Sunday and sat by a lovely window seat. It’s always bustling here, which is a good sign! As you can see on my receipt we ordered food at 5.24 , We ordered drinks and two courses—main and dessert—but shortly after ordering, around 5.45 (20 mins after ordering) , a woman (who seemed like the manager) dropped a blackboard on our table stating “Reserved from 6PM” without a word. I was caught off guard, especially as we hadn't been informed about this prior to ordering and getting comfortable, so I had to chase her down to clarify that we'd already placed an order. To their credit, the food arrived quickly and was absolutely delicious—definitely a highlight. However, after finishing our mains, we were asked to move to a different table for dessert, which was frustrating. I understood they might need the table, but the table was free once we had arrived and ordered our food but the lack of communication and the fact that we were clearly paying customers (who had spent over £100) felt a little disrespectful. We should not have to suffer due to the lack or your logistics in house. We moved, but the new table just didn’t have the same atmosphere or comfort as the first one. While they offered us a complimentary half-pint of beer each, it didn’t really make up for the inconvenience, especially since we were already ready to leave after the meal. Overall, the food was great, and the location is perfect, but the customer service and the way the situation was handled left a lot to be desired. We felt like second class citizens and that a table of 5 were far more important than us.
