Tired from walking the palace we were welcomed in by a very kind staff and had an outstanding meal. Would highly recommend.

We had the most delicious meal, the hoisin mushroom spring rolls were to die for! All credit goes to chef Nader! All the staff were warm and friendly as well as very attentive throughout the evening. I would definitely recommend this pub and will be returning very soon!

Lovely place, staff very friendly, food is lovely. Nice outside seating areas and very dog friendly, highly recommend.

Had a very good day out with the family, last minute day out and managed to find this amazing pub. Staff members very friendly and the pub manager amazing. Helping out to fit us into a good table so we can enjoy a very nice meal.

As a local family of 3 (small baby) We love to come here for our Sunday roasts. The staff are super friendly and there is a pretty chill atmosphere. The sticky toffee pudding is insane. Big shout out to the waiter Ben! Really friendly and welcoming.

Today, the barman Ben let the side down, attitude stank worse than a Birmingham city centre housing estate, wouldn’t bother while he’s there trying to lessen the foot traffic….

This is the second time I’ve been here. Both visits have been great. The pie of the day is lovely and the sandwiches equally good. Staff always friendly and helpful

Awful Told on arrival that food orders wouldn't be taken for 15-20 mins because of a backlog. Fair enough. However, food (2 sandwiches and a kids fish and chips) didn't arrive for over an hour. Sandwiches didn't include a leaf of garnish on the plate - it was extremely average Service taken off the bill, with the comeback that the kitchen had been closed/reopened etc. If that's the case, then tell customers at the time of ordering. Kitchen should probably have been closed completely. Clearly understaffed, tables all around not cleared/cleaned, even though the place was only about a third full. Honestly, it was awful. I won't be going back

Great steak sandwich also good Mediterranean roasted vegetables on sourdough and daily pies. Worth a visit when visiting Hampton Court

We had a great time here on Wednesday afternoon. As a group of mums with a bunch of 6 young kids, we were embraced by the pub staff and made to feel really welcome. The manager was lovely and the kids were given chalk to play with by Jola and we had some nice drinks and chips in the sunny beer garden. Really recommend for mums that would like a sunny spot in a contained garden, for food/drink with kids in tow!

I have just eaten at this pub for the first time and it was an absolute delight! The pub garden is a real highlight and the food is delicious! Lacie our waitress had a real attention to detail and couldn’t be more helpful!

What a great pub , welcoming, great food , caters for children we will definitely be calling again.

The Prince of Wales in "Hampton Court Village" on the south side of the river. An offering from the Green King stable, lovely, fun and jolly. A fine offering of keg beer and cider. Also four cask ales on offer, including Timothy Taylor's Landlord. All beers, wines and everything else is served by the wonderful Harry with a delightful New Delhi twist and charm. I love the bare brick post industrial nod. A peaceful oasis in the madness of incessant traffic in this beautiful part of London. A huge pat on the back for all the team at the Prince of Wales.

So the response below might be confusing as I am updating with a new revenue. Had a fabulous dinner last night. Harrison and his team are excellent. The food was very good. Our children were happy as were we. We had the fish curry and the burger. I have had the burger here before and this one was perhaps the best yet. It reminded me of Meat Liquior Dead Hippy, which is one of my favourites. Living a short walk away from a great burger is going to be difficult:).

Steak sandwich was grisly and overcooked. Waiter dropped half of the food on the floor when bringing to the table (was replaced). Sausage sandwich was tasteless. Ordered smash fries, got a bowl of half cooked potatoes (£8!!) Waste of cash. Alright for a drink but I’d avoid the food.

We had an absolutely amazing experience here last Tuesday. The food was incredible and the atmosphere cosy and relaxing. There was a pub quiz going on in the front but in the back we could enjoy a quiet meal with our 10 month old. We even arrived pretty late (around 20:00 o'clock) but we were still welcomed as if it was the beginning of the night. To make the experience even better we had the most amazing, sweet and fun waiter, Benjamin. He made us feel so comfortable, which is not always the case in pubs when you bring a 10 month old. He helped us with warming up our sons food, made sure we had everything we needed and even provided us with spot on advice for the food! We will never forget that sticky toffee pudding! If you are every in the area and looking for amazing food, great atmosphere and incredible service, this is the place to be!

Relaxed pub for a Sunday lunch with gardens at the front and back of the building that are perfect for a sunny day. Nice 0.0% beer too

Visited the pub and the service was by far the best part about my experience. Harrison and Jed served me and my family whilst we was up visiting friends. They were really polite and recommended drinks and food. The food was hot and fresh. It’s hard to find a pub that welcomes young children as well but they really went above and beyond with them/us making us feel welcome. I will definitely be back to see their friendly faces as well as recommending to anyone visiting the area!

Sunday roast very average. We came at the start of the day but they already had missing ingredients for the roast chicken and pork which was not mentioned when we ordered it. Staff are all lovely but seems quite chaotic when it gets slightly busy. Would recommend for drinks but food over priced for what you receive.

Got a table on a Sunday afternoon. It was busy but the food came in a timely manner. We loved the warm sourdough bread and the beetroot hummus with pita. The Sunday roast was good and filling. We got the beef, one chicken and one lamb. As dessert we got the cherry, almond and coconut crumble with vegan vanilla beans custard. All really goods

Great spot for lunch! My friend and I popped in today and had the club sandwich and a pint of Guinness—both were spot on. The bar staff are always friendly, and we’re made to feel welcome every time we visit. Perfect place for a break when working nearby. Highly recommend!

Quiet Monday evening, a late decision given our usual local spots were closed, the dining area was very comfortable. The manager Henry and Jed were busy with enquiries but made the time to chat and welcome us, in fact more than that. We chose a series of starters as tapas followed by the sage ravioli. The presentation was a treat, the freshly prepared beetroot hummus with flatbread was delicious and plentiful. We were so surprised at the quality of the chicken skewers and mushroom dish, simply great. We cleared the ravioli too nice to miss. And finished with an ice cream, child’s pud portion. This is a pub with enthusiastic foodies in charge, we would recommend as a venue for a quiet mid week meal without reservation. Well done guys!

New years eve with friends, early table for dinner. Waiting staff did a great job, even though they were short handed. Food was generally good, although cauliflower soup starters were returned and replaced. Monkfish and prawn curry was delish!

One of our favourite local pub! Lovely food, great atmosphere and staff. We always enjoy our visit and looking forward to our next visit tomorrow.

We booked for Xmas dinner for the princely sum of £82 per person. To start there were 2 spotty youths who looked like they’d never worked in a restaurant in their life. Drinks took an age to come as in 20 minutes, the starters were inedible, all doused in garlic. Then the main meal with 2 meagre slices of dry turkey, Brussels sprouts like bullets, carrots almost in liquid form and gravy completely without taste. Xmas ruined. Job done. At least we got our disgusting meal, other tables had to wait ages to the point people were threatening to walk out.

As I been before here for a meal this time I was invited for Xmas day lunch , struggled for the table , service was slow , food we really good as my previous experience we did really enjoy the food as table of 6 we almost had one of each dish available in the menu all was tasty and well presented Hopefully the service will be better for future as it used to be before

Very poor service on Christmas day. Waited almost two hours for lunch despite having booked well in advance. Lots of people complaining about long wait with some going home without eating. Some customers being served after coming in much later. Food was good except brussel sprouts which were rock hard.

Fantastic service and always a pleasure, the staff were personable and friendly and I cannot fault it. It was a lovely Christmas Eve celebration with my young family

We had two chicken sandwiches, the staff forgot the fries, the sandwiche was very burnt dry toasted bread. Disappointed considering the high prices.

Absolutely shocking!!!! Without doubt, the worst pub/restaurant/any establishment generally that we have visited. We came in and waited nearly an hour for drinks that we ordered on arrival, despite seeking an update on their whereabouts three times. Then, the food came out and was absolutely awful - my fish & chips, as well as my wife's burger, were both dry and tasteless, plus my little son's meal was burnt to a crisp! Finally, the bill came out and it was an extortionate amount of money for absolutely dreadful service and a very substandard quality food. We normally never do this, however, given how bad this experience was, I couldn't advise more strongly avoiding this place at all costs! We will be making all of our contact aware of this feedback, also. This was honestly such an immense disappointment...

We sat in the dining area as had kids with us. Felt forgotten about as they took a long time to take our order etc. Would have had dessert if they checked in on us sooner. They didnt have Gravy or peppercorn sauce for the steak. The kids didn't like the taste of their pasta unfortunately.

Very long wait for food and the one lady who works there was very rude (it costs nothing to show some politeness). Matters got worse when my fish turned up like a brick and I couldn't even break into it. I was given a replacement, but it was tasteless if I'm honest. The one positive is the young gentleman who helped solve the initial problem. He was helpful, but otherwise I wouldn't recommend this pub for food - hugely overpriced for the quality offered

Food was excellent. Service was extremely polite but all over the place. Only two staff to cover bar & restaurant until after 3pm on a Friday just before Christmas. Didn’t manage the walk ins effectively, comes with experience I suppose. All that said, a lovely pub, great atmosphere and exceptional food.

They have a truly great sticky toffee pudding. It’s better than the one in the mute swan and that one is damn good

In the past we’ve always had very good food at The Prince of Wales but this time 2 of us out of 4 people chose the roast lamb and the meat was mostly fat - the small amounts of meat that were there were impossible to cut due the the surrounding fat so we were very disappointed. We’ve never had a bad meal there before so hopefully it was a one off but if not you need to change your lamb supplier. Very disappointing.

Great food, service was amazing, nothing was too much trouble. It needs to be said though, there was not enough staff, they were trying to cover the bar, take orders, bring food and deal with disgruntled customers at the bar and tables. We waited over an hour between courses. Despite this I can’t praise the staff highly enough… owners: do better.

Oh dear. Busy busy busy. No service what’s so ever. Booked a table nobody came to service it So Went to the bar to order drinks. Bought them back to the table then Waited …… Went to the bar to order food…. Had to ask for cutlery before food came. Had to ask when food was coming. Food arrived (warm ish) Went to bar for more drinks. Asked for the service charge to be removed. Sorry. I know you’re busy but it’s Sunday afternoon. More staff needed.

First time I’ve eaten at The Prince of Wales is rather nice place to eat, and meet people for a drink. Typical Sunday afternoon but still me and my friend enjoyed ourselves the food was rather nice no complaints about the food. I will be going back there again.

There was life before the Prince of Wales chicken kyiv and there is life now. . . We went today to the Prince of Wales pub following a visit to Hampton Court Palace, a pub we have been to many times over the years as we are local to the area. The atmosphere, as usual was lovely, the staff were friendly and we found a little table to settle down at. We both ordered the chicken kyiv. We don’t normally get the same meal but it sounded great. And we were not disappointed! What a delicious lunch! We enjoyed the food so much, we couldn’t believe how lovely it was. A beautiful breaded chicken breast with a fresh garlic filling, creamy leek sauce and crispy French fries. Wow. It was beautiful. We felt compelled to write this review because we wanted to give them the praise they deserve for such wonderful food. Well done Prince of Wales!

The service and staff were lovely (hense the 1 star) yet the food was not good but any means. It was far to oily and the chicken was undercooked. I ended up with food poisoning.

The best Roast in area , table of 4 we had the beef, Lamb, pork and the chicken all enjoyed our food. Thumbs up to the chef , definitely will be back

We’ve been to POW many times and normally fairly satisfied with the food and prices etc. Today not so much. My husband and kids had the beef roast which wasn’t great. Beef was very limited and quite fatty. Yorkshire puds were almost inedible, more like muffins, very doughy. Kids don’t eat kale and red cabbage (how many kids do?). So really they ate one slice of beef (lots of fat cut off), 2 small potatoes, half a carrot (which is all you get) and half a yorkie for £13.50 each. Mad. They had sticky toffee pudding for dessert, £5 each. It was very burnt and didn’t taste great. Ice cream was the best part. Roast chicken (that I had) was the only good meal unfortunately (apart from the yorkie). Not ideal for a birthday lunch with a bill of £120. We won’t rush back.

We had the absolute pleasure of dining at the Prince of Wales Pub on Bridge Street in Hampton Court, and what an experience it was! From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel so welcome, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. Our family of five enjoyed a delicious meal, with fish and chips for me, the pie of the day for my husband, and burgers for the rest of the family. Every dish was perfectly cooked and full of flavor – the fish was crispy, the pie hearty, and the burgers juicy! What really made our evening special was the exceptional service we received, especially from Samantha. She was attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. Her warmth and professionalism truly stood out, and she made our visit that much more enjoyable. If you’re looking for a great meal in a cozy setting with top-notch service, I can’t recommend the Prince of Wales Pub enough. We’ll definitely be back!

We all ended up here on Saturday afternoon 15 of us and no booking and we had the best experience The manager was awesome she was full of fun nothing was too much trouble and all her staff too xxx looking forward to heading back there xxx 😘

The food and service were amazing!? The only downside was the lighting was quite dark at our table. Staff were very attentive. Roast lamb was fabulous.

I visited The Prince of Wales Pub in Hampton Court on Friday 13th September 2024. It was the best night of my whole life. Friendly atmosphere, great people, the Staff are very Professional, the Chef Nader is the best in the whole world, the food was World Class, the drinks are top quality and the overall experience was splendid. I will wine and dine in the Prince of Wales Pub every day of my life. The General Manager Samantha, what a demonstration of Professionalism, She is exceptionally the best Manager.

First visit and will certainly be back… probably tomorrow! Prawn & monkfish curry superb. Staff were lovely, very welcoming, professional & relaxed. See you soon!

The staff are very friendly. Our meal was good. However serving Chicken Pie, Mash, and Cabbage on a Cheese board did not go down well. I swapped my plated Beefburger for the Cheeseboard and all was well. When this was mentioned to the server no response was given. I hope the added tip on the bill can go towards some more crockery.

Eaten twice before with a positive experiences. Not sure what happened but service and food quality was awful on this third visit. Had to chase for food after 45mins to find several customers also complaining about the wait for food. The special dish, Fish Pie had one small piece of fish and a lot of boiled egg. !! The Curry Sauce with fish and chips was not a curry sauce. I think it was like a runny curry powder soup with I think mustard. !! Clearly chef had no idea. !! Even the 3 x free coffees were burnt and tasted awful and not drinkable. The only positive was the appologitic waitress who did not charge us for the Fish Pie (which was awful) and gave us free coffees which was burnt. Will not go again due to this experience when on third visit could have been a regular pub visit. There are so many other restaurants in Hampton Court to try. Just not good enough. What a shame.

Very nice pub close to Hampton court. The food was very good, we started with one dish just to share between 2, and ended up eating 3! The service is also excellent, best I’ve seen in a long time in the UK. I recommend the fish and chips

Very nice Sunday roast with a decent amount of potatoes and very good gravy. Service a bit slow to begin with but this improved drastically during our visit.

The waitress made us pay the wrong bill - we had a discount because they forgot 1 person on our table - then they did not want to apply the discount on the second bill Kinda weird moment - a bit rude Anyway the food was alright
