I went for a meal with a friend on Sunday, 25th May 2025. I have a wheat allergy so have to have gluten-free food. There were several errors with my food from our waiter who was apparently new. However, the assistant Manager, Jack was fantastic when I brought them to his attention. He was hugely apologetic and even deducted the cost of the puddings, so we were very impressed with his customer service. The 5 stars for 'Service' are for how he dealt with it, so thank you, I will return!

Ye Olde Swan is such a hidden gem, I feel like I need to tell you all what a magical time my family and I have when we come for sunset drinks or dinner or even Sunday lunch. Sitting by the waterside watching all the rowers and local boat owners wave from the boats and listening to lovely live music whilst the sun sets with aperol spritz in hand… the food here is such high quality too for very reasonable pricing. One of my favourite spring and summer venue finds

Recharge Cafe, Ground Floor. Went here with a friend for lunch. We wanted some quiche which looked very tasty. It was stone cold. Asked if it could be put in the microwave. THEY DON’T HAVE A MICROWAVE. So they were tasteless. Wanted some saucers for our cups of coffee. THEY DON’T HAVE ANY SAUCERS. This is Mercedes Benz. Not some little greasy spoon. Disgraceful. Don’t bother.

The cafe staff are always so welcoming and genuinely seem happy to see your return. I love my weekly visits to the cafe wether it be meeting a friend for coffee or for some delicious food. I can’t recommend the cafe enough with its warm atmosphere, delicious food and friendly staff. Thank you everyone at Red Cafe for making me feel so welcome.

Met 6 friends here this morning The coffees were nice but prices are high. £3.50 for a Diet Coke is ridiculous. We did not have anything to eat No atmosphere. It ha more of a canteen feel rather than a coffee shop . It was definitely service without a smile. It served it purpose but personally who not choose to return here again

Landlord is extremely rude, confrontational and borderline aggressive. The walls and ceiling of the kitchen were covered in mould clearly visible from the garden outside and the carpet was filthy such a shame as it was a lovely pub some years ago when the previous couple ran it

A very ordinary café located right by the station. It is an ideal place to buy a hot drink if you arrive early for your train. The coffee we purchased was okay but very ordinary. To be honest it was exactly what we expected

After a good perusal of the garden centre on a fairly cold day in April we were looking forward to a reasonable lunch, nothing too elaborate. We were shown a table and ordered and then had to wait 30 minutes for our order, NOT a full meal , but a toasty and a quiche with salad. Before they were served I had politely asked a waitress if our food might be served soon. The response was an abrupt, "We are busy!" There was no apology. The salad accompaniment had no dressing and on request I had to wait a further six minutes before had to ask again. The manageress did apologise afterwards but I did suggest that perhaps staff need further training.
