Recharge Cafe, Ground Floor. Went here with a friend for lunch. We wanted some quiche which looked very tasty. It was stone cold. Asked if it could be put in the microwave. THEY DON’T HAVE A MICROWAVE. So they were tasteless. Wanted some saucers for our cups of coffee. THEY DON’T HAVE ANY SAUCERS. This is Mercedes Benz. Not some little greasy spoon. Disgraceful. Don’t bother.

Mercedes Benz in Weybridge & Recharge cafe it’s been one of our family weekends destination for many years! And we enjoying being there as is lots of improvement has been done in terms of activities for different age group. But when it’s comes to having a bite to eat and coffee is going down in quality of service and especially coffees that are made in such a poor way no taste at all. The girls behind the counter just not making any effort to serve a warm quality drink. They even don’t try as I went back and asked. That’s not fair to pay and get no service whatsoever and drink that don’t have taste is just coloured warm water. Would be nice to get management to improve the training or bring staff that know their job including how to deal with customers!!!!

I walked through the marked out line to queue for the cafe. I have never been before. There was no one in front of me except for people standing in front of where the coffee is made, and staff making coffee. There was NO SIGN saying where to order so I waited behind the people who were standing in front of me. After quite some time a lady comes out from the back and proceeds to take the order from people behind me. She did not ask who was next. I said there was a queue and that I was next. She told me I needed to queue up through the marked out route. I said I had been queuing and she said no, not from that side. I said I had queued but she wouldn’t accept that. I said that no one has been where she was now standing and I had simply stood behind the other people waiting. She said I needed to have hollowed the signs to order from where she now stood. I said there was no such sign on the counter. She then said I should have queued up through the marked route. I again repeated that I had done so and as no one was there she wouldn’t know. She eventually took my order. After asking what types of milk were available and repeated twice that I wanted my coffee made with coconut milk when my coffee was eventually made it was not. I asked for the correct coffee to be made as ordered and the lady making the coffee said it had not been ordered. I said I had said twice to her colleague who took the order that it was with coconut milk. She then checked with her and the coffee was made. NOT a good experience on my first visit. Really appalling customer service in fact and painfully slow. If I could give it no rating I would. No nice ambience can take away how I was treated.

We were a family group here for our two teenage grandsons to enjoy a driving experience each. That was great, as are the various exhibits at MBW. The cafe is mid range in terms of food choice and ambience. We have two suggestions - the food needs to be unfailingly hot and not needing to be sent back for reheating; then there is a really annoying moving menu that doesn't allow time to be read before it changes - quite unnecessary!! So; OK but not really up to the standard that I would expect from Mercedes, (we are long term MB owners) nor up to the high standard of the rest of MBW. Our rating refers to the cafe; the MBW experience is a 5 star. It will be interesting to see if, and how, MB management respond to this review!

So we visited MBW for the first time yesterday, being fathers day. Superb day out booked a couple of under 17's driving experiences for the kids, really enjoyed looking around all the exhibits, kids also enjoyed the driving simulator. What lets this place down massively is the eatery CAFE 1886! There was a queue when we entered the building after watching the Silver Arrows, which was to be expected. What wasn't expected was the time it took for the queue to go down, then how long it took to make 2 hot drinks!! The kids had wraps, sandwiches, crisps etc so they got sorted as we paid, but mum and dads hot chocolate and Latte took virtually half an hour of my wife standing and waiting, absolutely crazy! the family next to her had ordered a scone and slice of cake which were behind the counter and they waited just as long too!! it doesn't end there. I went to find a table with my boys only to be greeted with table after table of stacked up pots, cups, bottles, packaging etc! not a person in site clearing tables for the half hour I waited for my wife to bring over our hot drinks. In the end she asked for them in take away cups as time was there for my son to do his driving experience! which by the way was very well run. I watched some staff members bringing food orders out to customers but then just waltzed back to the kitchen empty handed!! I couldn't believe it!! what an earth happened to their training? so there are customers sat faced with other peoples rubbish on the tables and they walk straight past without even noticing, unbelievable! And at the prices being charged (captive audience) its unforgivable! Come on Mercedes! yes your specialised subject is banging out fantastic motors, but if you're going to have a go at catering then give everyone in the catering department a damned good shake up! its not rocket science......

My wife booked and paid in advance for a drive and dine experience for my birthday. The driving experience was good but when we arrived at the restaurant they refused to let us eat, saying we would have to pay for lunch (again). We asked to speak to the manager but she said the same thing. We had to drive into the nearest town and eat at a restaurant. They later said that they had mixed us up, with another group, and that we why we were wrongly refused. They promised to refund the cost of the lunch but despite repeated requests they still have not done so three months later!

I visited the restaurant today with my children who were having a driving experience at Mercedes World.I pre booked the table the same day.The restaurant had no more that 4 tables used at one time during our visit. We were greeted with friendly staff. Our waitress was on her first day and we asked if we would have the afternoon tea for 2 despite it only being 12.30pm and afternoon tea not starting until 2. She checked with manager and they were happy do this for us but it would take 25mins. We were happy to wait but 35 mins later the food arrived despite being very quiet in the restaurant. Unclear why it would take so long to knock up the basic sarnies. Which were very basic, tuna sweet corn, Brie and cranberry, ham and cheese and cheese and tomato. Sausage rolls were very niceAn orange juice was charged at £3.50 and not event a freshly squeezed juice. Afternoon tea was £17.50 each and very basic sarnies and not very nice cakes. For this price I would expect more. Clotted cream with scones was not cream, it was the same whipped icing used on the small cakes.Whilst we were there, several potential customers checked out the menu but it lacks much thought and is over priced. The venue is totally missing a trick! It is the first day if the school holidays with people visiting various areas of Mercedes world and the restaurant was totally under used yet 4/5 front of house staff.I asked for tea which I assumed would come with the ‘afternoon tea’ but was charged separately for this until I mentioned it should have been included with the menu selection but they were happy to take off the bill. Maybe some supervision on people taking orders on their first day as really I should have been provided a pot of tea for two during meal.

Arrived around midday, only one other table taken. Ordered A Class afternoon tea and was told to take a seat. After 10 minutes of waiting I went back to the counter to ask about my order. Was abruptly told I never said what drink I wanted. A few minutes later a hard, stale scone was brought over with no clotted cream. I was told they had none left and I could have another butter packet, no apology. Mercedes-Benz World is a great place to visit but certainly won’t go to the cafe again.

When you pay over £7 for a panini you at least expect it to be freshly made. I asked for no cranberry sauce but was told as they're not made to order they can't do that. I ordered it anyway and I think it's probably the worst panini I've ever had, very little filling and stale bread, hard and tasteless. I'd ordered a cake too, which was really dry. Nice place to visit but won't be wasting my money in the cafe again.

Met an old friend and his wife for a light lunch here last weekend. Seemed to wait for ever to order a quiche, two soups of the day and three soft drinks at the counter. Managed to find an empty table (but we had to clean it ourselves), and then waited another 20+ minutes for our food order to arrive. The soup was fine. It was warm and welcoming owing to a particularly cold and miserable day outside. But all in all, the catering here is totally put to shame by the magnificent machinery on display around you. I shall not be making a point of eating here again, but may return to admire the collection of stunning cars that surround you.

The prices are better than we expected, we had the BBQ pulled pork burger with chips and salad for just £6.50, and the Piri Piri chicken pitta bread was stuffed very generously with chicken. This café is on the ground floor in the main atrium of the building, giving a good view of inside and out. There is a limited but good selection of snacks: basil and tomato soup was hot and very fresh - and homemade. Fat chips (just a small treat!) were fresh from the fryer and very tasty. Service is a little sluggish, but that doesn't matter when you're relaxing. Some of the young staff are a little "smile-challenged" and it would add to the experience if they could develop the skill of building rapport. For all that, it's a decent place to eat and at a reasonable price.

I had researched the venues available and had personally wanted to go to the bistro (located on top floor) as the prices seemed more economic for what you get! However, my son just wanted a sandwich, so we joined(a very long queue) for cafe 1886.....on joining the queue, I noticed that the sandwiches and fruit etc were located nr tills, in fridge, self service...so I tried to choose one....no labels on, no idea what they were, let alone ingredients. If you have any food allergies/fussy eaters...nitemare!- when I asked what they were, nothing explained, only by a one by one, peering and pulling by staff to see what individual sandwich content was???!!!....baguette, £4. Mine ham and'salad'. His cheese and pickle....Mine, ham was off, and 'salad' consisted of 6 rotten lettuce leads (rocket mainly) that had started to disintegrate into the ham and baguette.. making it black! His...cheese tasted bad. .I spent ,,£15 on crappy lunch. ..would've preferred fish and chips in the bistro, might've been fresher?

After having a really great driving experience with my son, four of us went for lunch at the cafe. We had soft drinks, tea, BLTs and mushroom soup crisps and fries. I cannot recall the exact cost but is was not cheap. Service at the counter was quick but lacked any warmth of sense of welcome. They did not have any soya milk for someone who is lactose intolerant, something nearly every cafe has these days, and when i enquired they said they get asked a lot for it - then get it! The place was reasonably busy and there were plenty of staff but it was very dirty on the floor and then I realised why. The staff were not wiping the tables - instead they just swept detritus off the table onto the floor with their hands. Not what you would expect at MBW. The BLTs were okay, the bacon (only two rashers) and bread was good quality but lacked that feeling of something special and good value. It is not difficult to make a decent BLT - even for a visitor attraction. The soup (microwaved?) looked and tasted awful. We sent it back because the cream had separated but it came back and we were told that is how it is supped to be - really? Who would serve a soup that looked like that? It tasted very poor too. The fries were not at all tasty and were cold too. Overall there is little recommend this cafe - I felt that they were taking advantage of a captive audience and there fore felt they didn't need to try. It has also put me off visiting the Gullwing Restaurant here too. Such a shame. I would suggest they visit Caravan in London, The V&A in High Street Kensington or Wisley Gardens for some inspiration on food and service.

We stopped here for a light snack and had garlic bread, chips, crisps and drinks between us all. The hot food was lovely, service good. No complaints at all(Only reason not 5 stars is was a tad over priced - but you do only get what you pay for) Would recommend and definitely eat there again

Having read other reviews which are not too favourable, we were pleasantly surprised. Cafe was busy, Saturday lunchtime, and we thought we would have quite a wait for our cooked food but service was reasonably slick. Quality was good, prices were average for the area (this is a very upmarket area!!) though we thought the coffees were on the high side. Sausage baguette very tasty, childrens meal of fish pieces - well, nothing was left on the plate which says it all with a 3-year old. Only criticism was there was quite a queue to place orders at the counter, but staff worked quickly and it was a busy weekend. The cafe has a captive audience if you are at Mercedes-Benz World, there is nothing else in the locality, but it does its job very well - at least, that was our experience.

me and my family where having a day out at mbw and had some lunch in the café.after being there for a while to the table next too us one of the chef's was arguing with a customer about a bacon sandwich being cold the chef was being very agresive and rude I have next seen any think like this in any restaurant/café so for that reason I would never eat there again but as for mbw its self had a really good day but its a shame about the rude chef but don't let this put u off.

We had a return to visit to Mercedes world on Saturday and as usual had a nice day out. We decided to have a bite of lunch....big mistake. We had a chicken, salad and lemon mayo sandwich, BLT sandwich, coffee and a beer. My chicken was reasonable although a lack of mayo made it quite dry. The BLT was appalling! it came with bread that was dry and curling at the edges, we complained to the waitress and she went to change it, we thought. The (alleged)Chef brought it back and said it was not stale and it was because the bread was out of the fridge so therefore hard but not dry!! Explaining this he poked and prodded the sandwich and effectively lectured us both about the sandwich. The new sandwich duly arrived, smaller, BUT with nice fresh bread, sadly the lettuce inside was brown slimy and disgusting. For the delights of partaking in a disgusting effort at simple catering, an extremely rude and belligerent so called chef costs us £15.70. This person should not be allowed within a hundred miles of customers, and even further away from preparing food for paying customers........Thanks kitchen hand,it would appear that your capable at spoiling peoples' days out!! Want something nice to eat? go to the Brooklands Museum situated behind Mercedes World.

Great views from the outside seating area when the weather is good. Doesn't take card payments under £5 which was a pain when I went back to buy two bottles of water so take cash with you. Has fresh looking cakes and coffees etc. we just had snacks but the soup looked good.

We visited mercedes world today for my birthday. A lovely visit with a driving experience and plenty to entertain the children. The cafe served good quality food with a small but good selection. We had the goats cheese salad, a goats cheese wrap and my little girl had the children's sausages and chips. We also had hot drinks and cakes later in the day. We enjoyed all of it! The staff were helpful and polite and nothing was too much trouble. If we go back to the visitor centre again we would definitely visit.

The cafe at MBW is a bit expensive for what it is but with nothing else in the area they've got you. If you want a refreshment you either pay the price or don't have anything. MBW itself is excellent and highly recommended. The quality of whats on offer at the cafe is average and offers what you would normally expect from a cafe.

Good coffee, good service and clean tables. I have had much worse wine for the £3.80 a glass we paid!

Although the drinks were fine, and the food we eventually ordered ok, we were unable to order a number of items that were on the menu and told 'you can't have that' even bread & butter as a side order. Couldn't have the bacon sandwich on offer for no apparent reason, but could've had a BLT without the L & T!!

Served efficiently, quickly and with a smile! Tables cleared as quickly as people got up to leave. No negatives, just a nice cup of coffee!

The staff were friendly and the food was really good and reasonably priced for a visitor attraction.I visited at half term so they were really busy with loads of children around but all the staff were still smiling.

There was a fairly wide selection of sandiches and various cakes and muffins. The cappucino and latte were also tasty.

What a great place to take the children or for the dads. Merc have made a great place better. To think the RAF took off from here to do battle with the german and now they own the old field - Great slection history and of cars to touch, look at and even if you have the time you can drive. Fantastic fun day out

We have eaten here before and it was fine but this time...we ordered our food and the young lad was courteous enough but seemed as though he would rather be somewhere else. I had to go and ask where our food was after nearly 20min, which ordinarily in any eaterie would not be a long wait but the cafe was empty apart from one other table - I wasn't impressed to find it had been sitting on the side waiting to come out! The 2 boys subsequently didn't have time to eat it before their driving experience and I had to leave half of mine too. Pretty poor as a snack and three soft drinks came to £30 which was essentially a waste of money. On a positive note we have eaten here before and it was fine so I guess just leave loads of time just incase!

Good choice of savoury or sweet snacks and sandwiches, quick service and very helpful staff. Pretty good beverage display too and my hubby loved the milkshakes! A little on the pricey side, but you havent paid an entrance fee, so its to be expected.

The staff and atmosphere were brilliant, I ordered a mixed grill and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Matt and Ben were lovely and ill definitely come again! *Update* Well tonight was hard for me (the 19th) as tomorrow is the (20th). The 20th is 18 months since I lost my wife. Dave, Mat, Ben and Tracy (all staff) thank you for being normal, it means everything. To Tom? Dude you are friends with friends of my daughter, thank you for being yourself, it means more than you know. Finally to the two people dancing ( I bought you a drink if that helps jog your memory), thank you so much, as your normal smashed my normal and helped me more than you will ever know. To bring all of this into context, I lost my wife 18 months ago, your normality, sense of fun, and kindness helped me more than you will ever know. Love to you all ❤️

Frankly appalling. Staff were indifferent and poorly trained. Previous customers' cups and plates were left on table and only cleared away when requested by me. The floor was being vacuumed with a trailing cable across cusomer areas. And to top it all, I was charged £9 for a coffee (no saucer) and a cake which lacked any significant flavour. I will definately not be going there again. - Be warned!

The Foley has had a makeover and the interior is beautiful and cosy (we haven't sat outside yet because of the weather). Great atmosphere on a Sunday afternoon, esp with the fires on. We had a roast and couldn't fault it. Lovely portions, hot food and attentive service. The manager (a French lady I think) is always super accommodating and friendly. Thanks!

Disappointed. We were served by two very attentive excellent waitresses. However the fish pie was almost inedible. Watery thin cream sauce with undercooked fish and crumb topping with hardly any potato. Accompanying kale was lukewarm. Second time eaten here and food not the best. Will not go a third time.

Went here based on a recommendation in a paper. Sadly it did not live up to expectations. Welcome was functional not especially friendly. Where we were sat was crafty and I kept my jacket on for most of the meal. Sunday roast was average. Slightly dry and lacking seasoning chicken and soggy roast potatoes. The Yorkshire puddings however were excellent.
