The Ashley Park is back on form! Succulent Roast turkey dinner with all the trimmings - the best we've had anywhere. Perfectly cooked, generous portions and served very promptly. Gorgeous creme brulee dessert with crispy caramelised sugar topping. Nice atmosphere, real log fire.

I just wanted to verify the previous review, we were indeed scolded by a staff member for using the pub’s own ordering app, who told us in an aggressive manner ‘Don’t use the app. We’re too busy.’ Firstly, if the app isn’t functional during busy times, that should be made clear upfront rather than taking it out on paying customers. Secondly, and more importantly, there’s a right way and a wrong way to speak to customers, and unfortunately, this was the wrong way. Service and attitude matter just as much as the food and drink, take the lesson here and address your staff’s bad attitude.

Unbelievable interaction with the landlord who berated and chastised us for using the app: ‘Don’t use the app. We’re too busy’. For someone who comes to this pub regularly this is absolutely not acceptable service. I also paid a tip via the app for the service charge. I should ask for a refund.

Came in for dinner and drinks with my bestfriends lastnight. As always lovely welcome from Tracey and the team. The battered halomi isn't on the evening menu staff asked the chef who catered for me and made it. Food was delicious atmosphere was lovely. Thanks again Team

Tracey was absolutely amazing and provided us with an excellent service. The food were all cooked fresh and delicious! We also met the chef to checked if everything is okay. The rest of the staff are all so attentive and friendly.

Came to the Ashley Park for an impromptu breakfast, it has a very relaxed vibe and Tracy was brilliant. She was very welcoming and chatted to me and the other half like we were old friends, when we ordered the food she was attentive and came to us twice during the meal to see if we were enjoying the meal and if she could do anything else for us. I would definitely come here again for a Sunday roast next time and to catch up with the wonderful Tracy.

The staff and atmosphere were brilliant, I ordered a mixed grill and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Matt and Ben were lovely and ill definitely come again! *Update* Well tonight was hard for me (the 19th) as tomorrow is the (20th). The 20th is 18 months since I lost my wife. Dave, Mat, Ben and Tracy (all staff) thank you for being normal, it means everything. To Tom? Dude you are friends with friends of my daughter, thank you for being yourself, it means more than you know. Finally to the two people dancing ( I bought you a drink if that helps jog your memory), thank you so much, as your normal smashed my normal and helped me more than you will ever know. To bring all of this into context, I lost my wife 18 months ago, your normality, sense of fun, and kindness helped me more than you will ever know. Love to you all ❤️

Really great service from Tracy and Ana. Nice pub fare, nothing too fancy, but hearty and tasty. Good selection of drinks in bottles and on tap - could do with a few more ales maybe?

I'm a long-standing regular of the Ashley and am proud to have been barred 20-odd years ago for correcting the chef's spelling on the blackboard. Anyway, these days I'm allowed in. It's by the train station so gets a lot of passing traffic but also a strong bunch of regulars. Sunday nights are quiet but there's a great quiz. Another quiz on Thursdays, generally very busy. Good selection of drinks and food. Only loses a mark for manky lavs. Edit: still manky lavs. No evidence of effort to de-mank the lavs.

Nice pub (Ember Inn) with friendly staff. The outside could do with a splash of paint, but the inside is in good nick and provides a comfortable environment. There are steps to the front entrance, but I think a wheelchair could get in the side entrance through the little beer garden if they wanted to. The Posh Fish & Chips was a lovely meal - VERY filling. The Guinness was excellent as was the London Pride.

Had my mums 80th party the food was great the staff was fantastic and in particular Tracy was exceptional will definitely return

Spacious pub and very comfortable. Beer quality was good as was the food. A good resource so close to the station.

Tracey was amazing from the moment I placed the order to the service at the table food was hot and delicious I’m from a pub catering background and I could fault the 3 course meal. We were on a works stay and I’m so glad we decided to eat at the Ashley Park pub they should really praise Tracy for her customer service and attitude. Will be back to eat here again when next passing.

Great place atomsphere made very welcomed as we walked in. Can't thank enough the amazing deputy Manager i think her names Jane. She moved outside chairs so my mum could park up her mobility scooter along the side by the back door. She was so helpful nothing was to much trouble. Compliments to the manager who's also the chef all 3 courses were delicious we all enjoyed our food. I wanted the battered Hallomi that wasn't on the evening menu and he was only to happy to make it for me it was delicious. The bar team are lovely. We had such a nice relaxing evening thankyou. Will definitely be back 5 stars from us 😃

I have never been served such a dreadful meal. I ordered medium/rare rump steak & chips, mushroom, tomato & peas. The steak that came was sirloin & cooked to black I sent it back & after half hour I chased it up. It came with the same chips etc., as before the mushroom looked like a piece of coal the chips were warm & the steak was tough & not much different to the 1st offering. They did compensate me with 2 free drinks but I couldn't eat the inedible food. Norman

The Ashley is a lovely place to visit for lunch, dinner or just to hang out with your friends. It has a lovely atmosphere and the staff are friendly. The food is great, sometimes they had got a few things wrong or it took longer than expected, but it was always corrected quickly and was fresh. My only real problem with the place is the state of the gents toilets. For months there have been wet floor signs around the urinals, there is always a nasty smell, it's rancid, you would think with such an "up market" place their loo's will be better than this. Even a weatherspoons has better kept toilets than this place and you would expect them to be horrible. But all in all you don't spend your time in the loo's but thought I mention it here as it seems they might end up doing something about it, as every time I mentioned it to the staff they just said "Sorry".

Please do not have a roast dinner here. Expensive for the fact that it’s all dry and hard to swallow and the staff are rude. No one is here on a Sunday for a reason.

I was here during the day, Hannah and Tracey always had a smile on their face and were always freindly. Absolutely recommend this place, came for work stayed at the travelodge and the food was excellent

New menu and not impressed. Very limited selection of starters. The meat in the shepherd pie is gristley and not particularly pleasant - steamed greens, very mushy. Hunters chicken schnitzel is literally an overcooked schnitzel with barbecue sauce tipped on top. Nothing at all like a hunters chicken. Overall the food is very disappointing. The only saving grace was the staff - they were lovely. Tracey was our waitress - very pleasant and nice to deal with, otherwise rating would be a 1

The new menu is rather odd. The Hunters chicken should be left traditional not a schnitzel. However, the staff more than make up for it. The bar staff were great and a special mention to Tracy our waitress. Couldn't do enough for us and seeing her buzzing around the pub she works very hard to make sure everyone is looked after and happy.

I would give the establishment 0 stars but for the staff I would give them 5 stars. We booked for the family to have a meal on Sunday evening, the food took an unacceptable long time to arrive. The pub was full but clearly short staffed. Only 2 people to serve at the bar AND the food and one other guy who works in the kitchen was helping them. They were really pleasant and doing their best but were struggling. Ember Inns, get them more staff!

Seriously they need new management. Turn up on on a quiet Sunday and practically every food option out of stock. Rude staff don’t bother coming here if you want actual food.

Nice clean pub. We ordered food and my husbands came out, pie and mash He ate his and I was still waiting for mine. I had ordered nachos with a side order of garlic bread for us to share. We waited, it did not arrive, so my husband went to the bar and asked where it was and that he would have liked to have eaten at the same time as his wife. A young lady came to me and apologised and refunded my meal, which I would then receive free of charge. I then orders portion of cheesy chips for my husband so that he had something to pick at while I was eating. These did not arrive at all. So I went to the bar and cancelled the order. We were staying in the travel lodge as it was our wedding anniversary (cheap day out !!) we had been to Sandown for the day with Coral book makers on a hospitality day, so it was just something to eat to finish off the day. What I will say is when the food arrived it was nice. The service let them down and it was not busy. For convenience to the races I would go again and hope to have a better experience.

Food was missing from breakfast no mushrooms. Asked without egg and still had it in the burger.

We tried to arrived on Sunday night and most food was off the menu, food was ok, but steak wasn’t the best. Tracey who served us was a superstar though, she did everything within her power to solve the issue and make sure we had a fabulous night. We all agreed she is a treasure and the pub is very lucky to have her working for them

Tracey was fantastic! We were a party of 16 and the Chef was being awkward because it was only him, but all got sorted and we really enjoyed our breakfast!

Came in on Friday for drinks with the girls. Had heard good things but wanted to make sure it lived up to the hype; and boy was it worth it! Got served by what I assume was the manager (Scottish lad) who had us in fits of giggles the whole time! Heard he just got a new dog which was so cute! Will defo return 5/5!
