Traveled from London to have a family lunch. Arrived to find only 2 members of staff working and one of them was dealing with an elderly gentleman who was unwell. Waited 20 minutes for someone to arrive to serve us drinks, but by then we had already decided to go elsewhere. Of course their priority was the poorly gentleman, BUT why was there only 2 members of staff working in such a large pub restaurant? We went to Harvester and the service and food was exceptional.

Food was great, tasty and properly cooked. The staff were friendly and helpful. The atmosphere was inviting and welcoming. Will be visiting again shortly

The Fairmile is a lovely pub with great food and friendly staff, especially Vietor who was very polite and looked after us well

Without any fault of their own they were very understaffed but the present team worked well together and my wife and i had yet another wonderful meal there. Henry & Annie served us tonight and were faultless and friendly. Dan in the kitchen kept it going and even came out to apologise for the lack of staff but there was no need as the food was fabulous and Henry & Annie were amazing All 3 are a credit to your establishment

Great food and friendly staff. Tom was my server and was knowledgeable and attentive. Bar area is nice for a relaxing drink and a large outside area for better weather days.

Great pub, great food and great service! Had a lovely meal on bank holiday Monday. Really lovely decor inside which created a relaxed atmosphere. We used Tesco vouchers to pay for the food which made it all the better! 😁 Was our first visit and certainly won't be the last, look forward to next time.

Pleasant pub/hotel with large car park and outdoor seating. Plenty of room inside didn't have food. Bar service a bit slow the first time I was served as no one at bar.

Difficult to find someone to serve.

The waitress at the Fairmile was unbelievably rude to myself and several other guests during our breakfast on 28/7/24. She barked ‘room number’ when we walked in the door - a hello wouldn’t have hurt, then barked ‘it’s on the table’ at my partner for trying to get some cutlery off the trolley. She was also rude about a party of guests on the next table who then confronted her about her rudeness and she got even ruder towards them causing them to leave without eating. The food was cold, there was no milk or beans out, no pastries or muffins left for the continental breakfast at 9.30am, only toast! Truly an awful experience. There were a large group of guests from different parties complaining and requesting refunds in the end. The waitress needs to be in a job that does not involve customer service, or one heck of a lot of training. She was absolutely vile in her manner.

Appalling attitude by the girl and the duty manager on Sunday 28th July for breakfast. Booked table for 9 30am and they didn't have our room numbers in the system so great start, then when we got that sorted, the girl had an attitude because she 'just set the tables up for lunch' at 9 35am and threw the cutlery on the table. Breakfast was below average. Cold cooked buffet, no beans and when we asked for more the duty manager said ffs but took 15 minutes then bought it over. No coffee no orange juice and they refused to help. The duty manager did finally give my father in law coffee but when asked if another member of our family wanted a coffee the girl said no and then argued and very unprofessional. We walked out along with 6 different parties who also experience the lack of professionalism. I've never experienced what I saw today and if I hear my colleagues do that, they would be gone straight away and I'm in the hospitality business so I understand more than anybody but that was truly the worst experience ever.

Nice menu with good value lunch options. Coffee comes with homemade biscuit! Lots of space inside and big carpark set in far away from the road in parkland. Fabulous staff.

This pub has come on leaps and bounds since manager Dan has taken over. The staff are always so accommodating and the food is delicious

We stayed at the Premier Inn next door. The Fairmile provide the breakfast which is great. We dined on two consecutive evenings. The menu was a good mix and the food excellent . We were looked after by Victor. Professional and very friendly. We shared a laugh. A great stay.

Food and service for an evening meal good. Service was quick and friendly and food well prepared and tasty. The only complaint was that the pub has tatty decor, peeling wallpaper, paint, cracked windows and mucky radiators, which is off putting. Do you not have some sort of regular maintenance just to keep the place a bit more presentable ?

Came here for my brother's birthday and they catered perfectly for his special day. He has down syndrome but felt very welcomed here. They really went the extra mile by supplying candles in his desert while singing as they brought it out. We were served by Annie who couldn't have been any better. Very friendly and always has a smile. The food was delicious and the service punctual.

Really disappointed. Looked lovely but all food. was so bland. Don’t understand how a chef can taste the food and think is ok to serve. Try seasoning the food

Jack and the Team were exceptional, great service and really impressed by the food! The Halibut was beautifully presented, perfectly cooked and bigger portion than expected! Well done, will definitely be back!

Not as good as it used to be: 1. Prices have crept up, so no longer competitive. 2. Supper Club menu has been removed. 3. Chairs look great, but are uncomfortable. 4. Two of the items on the starters menu weren't available. 5. No tea/coffee served after 9.30pm Used to like this place, not so sure anymore, there are nicer places at similar prices now. Sorry.

So very average. We went for a very late lunch and were disappointed. We both had two starters each and they were ok but nothing special. The service was ok up until (I’m guessing) the evening staff took over, and then it improved. I wouldn’t hurry back.

The best beef rib for Sunday lunch ever!

Lovely setting and good service. Had chicken burger & chips, very nice, simple but amazing how many can't get this right. Recommended. Disappointing that I have to edit this review. Still a lovely venue, but the attitude of the restaurant manager was shocking and extremely rude when I attempted to get a table. Will not be eating here in the future.

Fantastic night last night. We were a group of 12, the service was brilliant and each person was very happy with their food. The 7 hour cooked beef rib was fantastic. First time we've been there and everyone agreed it won't be the last.

Staff were very helpful and friendly. Had a full English breakfast, great value for money. I will most definitely recommend it to my friends and will certainly be back. Just to add, there is a great field to give the dog a run as well. 10 out of 10.

Went to the Fairmile for a family birthday lunch on Saturday. The staff were brilliant and very attentive. Food was delicious and service friendly and efficient. Thank you for making a special birthday such a success.

Had an enjoyable evening but... We were told on subah that there be a 1hr wait for did. We reluctantly accepted and sat down. We then waited 15-20 for our drinks order to be taken ash's to place our food order. It eventually arrived over an hour later. Getting orders were equally slow, after eventually getting someone's attention, our drinks were ordered and just left on the bar for us to collect another 15 minutes plus, later. Overall, the waiter was friendly and apologetic, but the wait for everything was painful. No doubt they had a lack of staff, which I guess they can't help.

Took 2 Granddaughters there for lunch today ,food and service excellent shall definitely be back

Served by Danielle was very good. Food was was very very average. Service for breakfast in the morning was terrible. (Premier inn next door). The man greeted us at the door was very rude And needs more hospitality training. If I was to recommend, I wouldn’t recommend going there for breakfast because of his rudeness

Food was nice. Service was good. Unfortunately the lunch menu was not available, you could only order from the main menu. It would have been helpful if we were told this as we were taken to our table.

Came for a pre booked meal last night. When we first arrived, we were told there would be an hours wait for food as they’d been so busy during the day. We decided to stay and have a drink and order some starters. The food actually arrived very quickly and was very nice. The whole experience was made so much more enjoyable by our waiter Henry. He actually couldn’t do enough for us. He was a very pleasant and cheerful young lad The only thing that let it all down was the amount of dirty plates and glasses left in the outside area, and it was the same on the inside. No member of the team picked up glasses or plates as the walked by empty handed

Sunday lunch was delicious and very reasonably priced at 12.95 for the turkey roast. Just want to mention our server Henry who was very attentive. Great service all round.

The staff are so lovely and helpful. A very nice pub!

No hot beverage facilities and the staff member explained this was due to boiler issues. But strange that they didn't even have a kettle for tea/coffee. We went in the morning had breakfast which was dry. Bacon eggs all very dry. Avocado toast and poached eggs not tasty/fresh.

The service from Milena was exceptionally good. She was very friendly and helpful. The food offering was good as it included a wide range of affordable main courses.

We met with friends to celebrate our son’s birthday for lunch yesterday. We were in the dog friendly section which was really nice. Good food, nice atmosphere, reasonably priced. Jack and Danny (manager) are very efficient and it’s apparent they run it so well. We will be back ! Thank you again

Staff are brilliant and always attentive

Got wrong order we both ordered Barbers and bacon burger my partner asked if chips come with the burgers our server said yes they come with chips he returned with our food and we ended up with barbers chicken and bacon, I asked our server to confirm what we had ordered he said that we had ordered the chicken I said no we both asked for the burgers and I said that we enquired about chips which as I've already mentioned he confirmed, not once did he say sorry I got you the wrong food. We left and wasn't really pleased

Good varied choice of food. Great food with a very good service that was proffesional and friendly. Also at a very good price.

An excellent pub. Food, drink, service all fine. There are patio tables. I enjoy coming here on a warm ☀️ day!

Disappointed with the food as my vegetables served with Sea bass was small and not as described. Similarly my wife's Barber's Smothered Chicken was served with a miserable portion of vegetables. However we were served by Milena a delightful Waitress.

Been here 3 times now and every meal has been excellent. Steak pie, and burgers all spot on.

Aboloutley disgusted 20 minutes to be severed. £10.50 for a double vodka. Absolute extortion. Kids with very little service experience. Not impressed one little bit.

We went here for lunch on Mother’s Day as a group of 7, the lunch was amazing, the staff were amazing, insanely busy for Mother’s Day but they had absolutely everything under control and looked after everyone. Can’t recommend enough and we will definitely be back. Thank you

We meet with family three or four times a year at The Fairmile for lunch. The staff are always friendly and welcoming. We enjoy the food very much hence frequent returns. The restaurant is well laid out and very comfortable. A lovely relaxing meal.

Erg jammer. Had recensies gelezen en was vol verwachting over het eten. Helaas viel dat erg tegen. Smaakloos, alles ver doorbakken. Brutale manager/eigenaar. Viktor die ons bediende was super, wat n lieve leuke man. Zeer attent tegen alle gasten, dat maakte de avond ietwat beter.

Was passing so popped in for lunch….food was delicious. I asked for more salad and fewer chips with my steak…which they were happy to do for me. All staff were welcoming and friendly, especially Milena, who served us. Extremely friendly and happily spoke to us about her homeland Bulgaria. Although we didn’t have much interaction with other staff members, so I can’t really comment on them….Milena, my friend and I agreed is a total asset to your company. Just had a Signature Burger, Skin On Fries and a pint of Orange Juice & Lemonade. I must say, that was a damn good burger. It tasted of real beef! Nice work Fairmile.

Great visit for my father’s birthday. Very friendly and attentive service from our waiter, Jack. Place was busy but they warned us that food might take some time so no complaints at all. We were made to feel very welcome.

We went there for dinner on Friday 9th February 24. Our party included 2 adults and 2 young children. Victor took our order and was exceptionally patient and considerate. Even when food had fallen on the floor. Nothing was too much trouble for him. He was professional, courteous and very efficient. Thank you Victor José :)

Fairmile is a lovely pub. The food was delicious and staff were very attentive and welcoming. It has a great atmosphere and is a family friendly place. We stayed at the premier inn next door which was convenient and had a lovely country walk after lunch before returning for a drink at the bar. 5*!

Food was good but drinks were slow and one of the spirits ordered wasn't available. We had to order another drink at the same time the others were delivered to the table.

Dreadful attitude by ‘person in charge’ when tried to make a group booking for two months hence. Although I could see the diary was clear our business was clearly not wanted as they ‘try to keep Saturdays and Sundays free’’. As they clearly didn’t want us we’re going elsewhere and won’t be back. Never been treated so rudely ever.

I often go to the fairmile and lucky enough to always be served by Milina. A charming attentive but not overpowering attendant. The food is always very good and it is always a good experience

Been a regular for well over a year now after moving to the area. Danny and the team always make me feel welcome, the beer is well kept and the food hits the spot after a long day at work. The front terrace catches the sun for most the day; a great retreat for one of those work from home days….

A group of us have a monthly lunch at this restaurant. The classic lunch menu has a good selection of dishes at reasonable prices. Our regular server, Milena, is always friendly and very efficient. The ambience of the dining room is pleasant . An added benefit is that the restaurant accept the Gourmet Club discount card for parties of up to eight diners.

The parking is easy. The food is the tasty Chef & Brewer menu with some good ales from the bar. We've returned here many times and have been brilliantly looked after by Milena and her team.

We had a group booking for Burns Night and had a super evening. The food was delicious and the service was spot on. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the evening. We have always had a pleasant evening when eating at the Fairmile. The food is always tasty, we have never yet had a poor experience.

Very unfriendly manager at the chef and brewer. Decided to leave immediately.
