Super new look. Super new food. Super friendly staff. Great for a leisurely lunch. No sandwiches, paninis or baguettes served here, only interesting small plates, shares or full on piggy meals! Yummy. Will definitely be back!! Thank you Suki!

5* lunch out served by Dale. Me and my daughter shared the small mussels which were so fresh and full of flavour. We both had sirloin steaks which were cooked to perfection and massive! All accompanied by a couple of glasses of rose Prosecco. We sat in the conservatory but on days like this, sitting in the dining room with the open fires on would be lovely. We will be returning soon.

Great fun, great staff, good vibe on a Friday and Saturday night and brilliant food to top it off. Greg was the nicest member of staff, can pour a great pint!!

We had booked in for Sunday lunch and was shown to the table immediately. A round of drinks came without any delay. However I can't say the same about the food. We waited an hour for the food to arrive which was good quality once it did. We also had to ask the staff for spoons to serve the side order of vegetables. An improvement on service is needed.

Roast Beef dinner, really tough beef, 1 carrot,1 parsnip and an egg cup size jug of gravy between two people absolutely disgraceful how on earth does that warrant £23 price tag. Service was dreadful, table was dirty. To say we were disappointed would be an understatement

Since its recent revamp, this gastro-pub/restaurant has become a good spot to enjoy a few drinks. The service was commendable, and the atmosphere is pleasant. However, the food left much to be desired. Despite the promise of exotic cuisine, the dishes were bland and underwhelming. While it's a great place for a drink, I wouldn't recommend it for dining. There are definitely better options for food in the area.

Good Sunday roast and stick starters. The pub it self is lovely. Very big with plenty of indoor and outdoor space. Well decorated.

Paid £5 for just chips. Waitress just comes and dumps them on the table and leaves. Nice attitude. Do we get ketchup? Mayo? Nah I got up and asked for both and i get handed ketchup and told she will bring mayo to table. In a place like this where its meant to be nice, surely use your initiative and bring both over. Or at lease offer it when you bring the fries over? And they were soggy Not coming back. Dreadful service. Fix it or go bust.

Nice location but poor service and lacklustre food We have been meaning to try the restaurant since it was refurbished a while back. It looks great, has a carpark and a garden. Our table was booked for 18:15 on a Friday. We were on time but there were no staff in the restaurant when we arrived. I asked at the bar but the staff just looked helpless and said that someone would come to help us. Eventually someone did turn up and we requested to sit inside in the restaurant. It was completely empty. The server gave us menus and after several minutes returned and asked us whether we wanted drinks. They then disappeared and no one came to take our food order. After nearly 10 minutes I went and found the server and asked if someone could take our order as we had been waiting some time. The server then started to argue with me saying they had only been away 1 minute! They then came to take our order with a very off hand, sulky demeanour. We were left feeling very puzzled and not like valued customers. The service improved after that and was mostly acceptable until we came to order dessert when one of the bar staff came over and asked if we wanted anything. We tried to order dessert, but he was not at all familiar with the menu and when my wife asked for the clotted cream ice cream (3 scoops on the menu) he asked her if she wanted 1 scoop! The food is mediocre, I had the mackerel and then the burger and my wife had the Cobb chicken and the clotted cream ice cream followed by coffees. The woman who brought our food was far more polite and welcoming than the first server had been. There were several dogs coming in an out through the restaurant while we were eating, a couple even barking. While this is fine in the garden or the bar area it isn't in the restaurant area. Overall not worth it, felt unwelcome and the food was lacklustre. Do not recommend it based on our experience.

Craig was an absolute top dawg, helped me secure a yummy mummy, best wingman in the game.

Came for a date, Craig acted as a human aphrodisiac and made sure my evening was a huge success, there were no horses but it was a ride of a lifetime.

Situated in a beautiful area. With a new refurbishment, the inside and outside space created a wonderful experience. Service was positive and food delicious. We will definitely visit again.

Ok, except for the sticky table and sticky arms on the chair. The food was nice. The service was excellent. Real shame about the cleanliness of furniture. Perhaps a good clean between services.

Dreadful experience. Waited 10 mins at the bar before I was acknowledged, to then be served by a moodly team member who was disinterested. The beer was definitely at the end of the barrel as cloudy and sour. My family were planning on booking for my wife's birthday party next week we would have been a table of over 20 people but following this experience we are going to take our money elsewhere. Never to return.

Visited as a group of two adults and two children today. The refurb is lovely and garden area has been done really nicely. There was a little wait for food but it was all delicious and well made. Decent kids food options too. Friendly and efficient service. Suki who looked after us was wonderful. We’ll definitely be back next time we’re in the area.

Such a shame. This pub has amazing potential but it’s seriously falling short. Was there on a Tuesday, fairly quiet went to the bar which was a painful experience in itself. Poorly trained staff, slow service and then getting charged £24 for ONE GLASS of Rose was the icing on the cake. Then ordered food, again disappointing to say the least. Stale bread, old brown salad. The ONLY saving grace was our server Elle. Very attentive, kind and an asset to the team.

Place was practically empty on a Monday lunchtime, yet we waited nearly an hour for food. Short of staff apparently. Mediocre food to say the least. Moules dried out and tepid, chips overcooked. Didn't think to provide a soup spoon for moule sauce. Expensive. 4 mains and 4 beers over £110. Didn't bother with desserts.

The atmosphere, after the remodeling, was excellent! As for the service, I found gaps such as food service time. Regarding the food, nothing special; It is not the place I would return to thinking about going to eat something good. It's good to go have some drinks.

Food was quite nice but if I'm paying over £20 for a Sunday roast, I expect better. For instance, roast pork belly could have been cooked longer to render the fat more tender. As it was, I had to leave all the fat on my plate because it was too sinewy and chewy. Skin wasn't crispy. Not enough gravy. No apple sauce! Vegetables were nice, as was cauliflower cheese and Yorkshire puddings. Asked for a dog water bowl and took waiter a long time to come back with a plastic tub of water. Very nice of him! But, when I got up to leave, I saw a dog water station with biscuits and blankets just a few feet away. Strange. Maybe they were understaffed that day - it was very busy. Waitress took so long to bring dessert menu that we tired of waiting and asked for the bill. However, it was all quite decent and it's a beautiful setting. So, if you're not a fusspot like me and have oodles of money then I think you'll love it

I've been to many pubs before, but this one truly stands out. The drinks are top-notch, with a vast selection of craft beers, wines and cocktails that are expertly mixed by the knowledgeable staff. The service is absolutely exceptional! Kira, in particular, was attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to make sure our experience was nothing short of perfect. I'd highly recommend this pub to anyone looking for a fantastic spot to grab a drink/food and enjoy some great company. It's easily become my new favorite! 😊

Amazing service here on the floor at the prince of wales... the team were amazing with the main standout being Samuel, Very high calibre of service just dancing around all areas keeping all guests happy and at home. We were made to wait 20 minutes for our table even though we had booked in advance, we were kind of just pushed to the side with our toddler and 3 month old baby. Not really engaged with by staff although one of the bar tenders asked if we wanted a drink on the house whilst we waited I just said we need to sit down to which he sympathetically smiled and just walked off. Finally we sat down and it was obvious a few families around us had been waiting a long time for food. We ordered our starters which were bland and tasteless but arrived quite quickly after we ordered. We then had to wait over an hour for our mains which was infuriating given the long wait for the table when we arrived. Finally they did arrive but my roast dinner was stone cold and my wife’s meal utterly tasteless. We decided to leave immediately I told our waitress who said the manager was going to come and talk to us. Again we were waiting, he took almost ten minutes to come over when he finally did so I told him all the above to which he apologised and I said I wasn’t paying anything as the experience was so bad to which he was surprised but didn’t fight me on it. A real shame (no idea how they going to pay for that big renovation) as we are local and were excited to try this place out but we will not be going back anytime soon. Truly awful way to send a Sunday afternoon.

Awful service from grumpy employees. Disgusting hummus. Rude servers. Such a beautiful “pub” obviously ran by incompetent management. Shame. Cold food which took 30 mins. No apology. Nice toilets.

Still the same or even worse, give it a miss. Decided to give the new place a try, we booked a table, so all set for an evening out. Parked the car in the car park so entered via the rear entrance, we had to walk through the whole pub looking for someone to seat us, nobody could be found, the old desk with a real person ready to greet you gone. Queued at the bar to ask the serving staff what to do when my wife noticed a bar table with menus on so we hung around that for a while, getting board a waitress walked past and we stopped her to ask when we should do at which point she went into to dinning area and asked one of the 3 staff standing around to see to us. I was asked my name and the person looked up my booking and the three of us showed a table for 2!!!! I remarked that I had booked for 3, and it would be nice to sit on a table for 3, so we sat at a tabled for 4. After about 10 minutes we made a gesture to one of the 3 staff still standing around and one came over, I asked what beers they had and I was showen the wine list that had a page on beers, having read it I asked what bitters they had and was told that all they had was on the list, asking if the draft was dark I was told it was and ordered that. When the drinks arrived I was given a light IPA ok better than nothing a plate with Olivers was placed o the table, nice touch but was taken off again and put on the next table. We asked why and told the wrong table .. we ordered the food. This was to be a theme. 4 times food was placed on our table meant for another table, and it became a bit of a joke to our visitor from Hong Kong, whom we had taken out. Our mains arrived, and we had a shock at the size of the portions. I had the fish pie, and it was tiny with more salmon than the advertised seafood. We finished our mains and asked for the desert menu, after about 20 minutes I asked again if we could have a desert menu and after a while one came and when I say one it was one for the 3 of us to share. At this point, we decided to give up on a bad job and asked for the bill and left. On the way out I sat that they did Tea beer on draft but was not advertised on the menu, the staff did not bother to check with the bar on what was on offer, the did add a 12% service charge for I don't know what as I think the service was awful. We will not be rushing back, a real shame as we used to love the place and used it ofter. I vote find somewhere else to eat, it was very embarrassing for us taking our visitor to this place and only stayed just over na hour and a half we had supper at home.8

Beautiful venue, lovely staff, delicious food. Couple of quibbles, cutting the core out of the tomatoes would be much better, and one dish said capers but there were none. This worked out well for me as I don't like them, but my friend who I shared with loves them. Would of been of 5 stars otherwise. Looking forward to coming back

My first visit, and a great one at that. The welcome was warm, myself and a friend were given a whole host of options for where we’d like to sit, and were promptly served thereafter. Drinks came fast, along with our food, pictured above. Ella was our host and she was friendly throughout. I’ll be back for another visit within a couple of weeks no doubt; despite the 30 minute drive, it is well worth it.

Really disappointing - clearly a lot of time and money has gone into the decorating of this pub while food and service quality have been completely forgotten. Avoid the breakfast here one of the worst I’ve had. Nearly an hours wait for food that’s clearly been sat under a heat lamp all morning. It now makes sense why it was so quiet!

The place is very beautiful, especially when it is sunny. Very traditional English. But because the waitresses are so so unfriendly and even not nice. Never seen that. I felt not welcomed with my daughter. If your from abroad don t come here or just for the beauty of the place.

Very disappointing visit. The new refub encouraged us to go back to the venue to try the new menu. It's to say remain close the staff will be very helpful and obliging. The food was less than average. The fish pie was just a tasteless mess and the crumble on top wasn't even cooked properly, The accompanying kale wasn't cooked well and there were no potatoes or other accompliments for the price. Fish cake was nearly burnt and again with absolutely no accompaniments. not even a vegetable. The watermelon and feta salad was actually warm as if it had been made ready and left sitting around while the rest of the food was being cooked. Won't be rushing back after this experience.

Have been before and excellent but went for father's day and chaos. Smaller restrictive menu, booked table wasn't ready, took forever to take our orders and then when I went to the bar they forgot our order. I don't blame the service staff who are a nice bunch but management. Felt like I had gone to a Harvester and at those prices pretty poor show. Not sure we will be back. Food sub par too, rubbish roasties, dishes had run out...

We were told there wasnt a table waiting for us and therefore we stood waiting at the bar for almost an hour before being taken to a dirty table that hadn’t yet been cleared. They informed us that since it was father’s day we couldn’t use the regular menu, despite not being informed of this beforehand when we booked, forcing us to pay £40pp. We then ordered and food came fairly quickly. The food was presented as being exotic and luxury on the menu descriptions, but was anything but. The burger meat was bland and undercooked and doused in a basic and bland burger sauce, making it completely soggy. It was completely average. The fish and chips was another mediocre affair, basic fish and chips, nothing special. Furthermore, no mushy peas was asked for but we were given them. The seabass was again, an average affair. The roast dinner’s were cold upon arrival, with soggy yorkshire pudding’s and bland meat and gravy. Poor for the price, and this rebrand was clearly an excuse to serve mediocre crap but dress it up as being luxurious. Special mention, however, to Becky, who was extremely helpful and friendly.

I have been here twice now since the refurbishment, which is beautiful and very tastefully done. The food was great on both occasions but sadly let down by the slow service. I put this down to the staff having such a large area to cover and maybe they need to hire more staff to improve this. The ladies who served us were charming and professional but it does deter me from visiting in the future.

We’ve been here twice now for a Saturday brunch. First time the order was slow, but the food was nice, so we thought we’d give it another go. Second time I think the food was noticeably worse (one person ordered the pancakes both times and said there was a distinct deterioration in quality), and the wait was longer. It wasn’t busy on either visit, so the long wait didn’t really seem justified. Nice staff and venue, though.

Fantastic breakfast. Perfectly cooked. Even with asking for just white for my egg. Perfect for myself and my daughter who really enjoyed her pancakes. Would certainly recommend.

Excellent!! The food was so tasty and service brilliant. Congratulations to all the team... Prior to the renovations we used to go to this pub many times but it had gone down hill. The newly revived Prince of Wales is fabulous and we will definitely be coming back soon!

I went to this place expecting a lot more, while the food was tasty, it was vastly over priced £21.50 for a burger and chips is excessive even with the cost of food going up! You pay a good bit less in some very nice pubs around Hampton court. The steak was cooked in a very strange way, medium rare being well done at the bottom and rare at the top - rather than pink in the middle the way it should be. at £31 a pop you would expect them to be cooked properly. The service wasn't great, we had a started to share and then it took over an hour for our mains to come. An apology came anout 5 mins before the food arrived, but to late. We had 2 kids with us who were starving by then and struggling to keep entertained. Overall while the staff were nice and friendly the length of wait and the high cost have put me off this pub. It's a shame as I had expected better, but I guess they need to get the cost of the re-fit back somehow!

New and exciting! We went there as a group for a Sunday roast. I had the 'MacSween’s veggie haggis wellington' which was fantastic. Great that there are good vegetarian options! The service was great, Kira and Abdul were very friendly! Thank you!

We had a fabulous family dinner. Our server Gianna was a great help in selecting our dishes. The beef burger was magnificent and I could not recommend it enough. The restaurant manager Kira had made sure we left satisfied.

Honestly don’t bother, what a shame as this place looks great and would be great but the food lacks attention and is soooo over priced for what you get. Quality is not good.

Incredible garden, super fast service and great beer options. Didn’t get the food but as an outdoor space, pretty great.

We arrived to celebrate my 72nd birthday, after buying a drink at the bar £30 for 4 drinks. We was seated the starter to ages to arrive, then the wait for the main started. A waitress came up and asked if we would like to see the desert menu. We told her still waiting for the main. We picked this pub as online it said it was a chef and brewer pub so arrived with my Tesco vouchers. They have changed hand in December but still online showing chef and brewer. The waitress said they get lots of customers in and always disappointed. We received our main the food not as good as we expected for the cost. In all very unhappy experience my birthday celebration was a damp squib. The drinks were slow coming. The experience cost us £167 plus the £30 at the bar and nobody cared.

Had a really lovely meal here for late lunch. There were 6 of us and we had a delightful round table and the interior of the pub is lovely. The house pale ale was very tasty and smooth and I had the steak pie and it was excellent especially as I could swap mash for chips. Actually all 6 of us really enjoyed both the main course and the desserts and coffee to follow. A very special mention to our wonderful server Suki who could not have been more friendly and helpful and we really enjoyed her company. A lovely experience

Very disappointing, I had a Caesar salad which was quite expensive due to you had to order and pay for the chicken On top of the price of the Caesar salad, Which was only a couple of tiny strips of chicken. Furthermore, the service charges is 12.5% which I find rather high for a Gastro pub. If you’re gonna charge your service charge, be real, Charge 10%. I really can’t see myself returning there. Poor show all round.!!!

Had the best day ever today for my mum’s 71st birthday the front of House staff Were amazing made my mum feel so special even gave her a cocktail for her birthday. We love the ‘new’ renovation, it’s so beautiful. The drinks and the food and the different spaces are all amazing!

Just had a great lunch at the newly refurbished pub. Unrecognisable from before. Excellent food, can recommend the generous portion of (large) muscles & the iorn flat chicken was so tender, great chips too, hot plates too. We had a really briliant waitress that made our lunch treat perfect, she was attentive, helpful & cheerful. Special thanks to Peri :) xx Will definately be back & recommend to friends. My only suggestion is to the management. Please put a hook on the back of the loo door! Despite is been very luxurous this possible oversite needs addressing & is normally found in most facilities. Had to put my bag & cream jacket on the floor which is not good :(

Poor service on recent trip. Took family for an afternoon lunch, waitresses were all nattering a complaining about something right next to our table. Asked for water, didn’t come. Asked again, got water but no glasses to drink from. Food very average and probably a little overpriced. Kids starter of hummus and stick was below par, carrots and celery was all dried out and didn’t look fresh, such an easy thing to get right. After recent investment surprised to see a general lack of care from food to service.

Fantastic pub with a great selection of beers. Food is amazing and it's kept spotless. Worth nothing it's dog friendly.
