After a good perusal of the garden centre on a fairly cold day in April we were looking forward to a reasonable lunch, nothing too elaborate. We were shown a table and ordered and then had to wait 30 minutes for our order, NOT a full meal , but a toasty and a quiche with salad. Before they were served I had politely asked a waitress if our food might be served soon. The response was an abrupt, "We are busy!" There was no apology. The salad accompaniment had no dressing and on request I had to wait a further six minutes before had to ask again. The manageress did apologise afterwards but I did suggest that perhaps staff need further training.

Having visited Squires Garden Centre on many occasions, I had never ventured into the restaurant - Seasons Coffee Shop, before. On the recommendation of a close friend, we decided to try the breakfast menu - 6 items for £4.99. Opening at 0900, we were one of the first ones there so sat at a table chosen by ourselves and placed our orders. Looking around the now Xmas themed area, it was lovely to see all the different kinds of decorations (which were also for sale)! Breakfast came and the portion size was sufficient enough to fill both of us up. After finishing this, extra toast and cups of tea were ordered until our chat was finished! We then mooched around the garden centre, a very large choice of gifts for all ages as well as the standard garden centre items. A relaxing way to spend an hour or so, and obviously popular which is always a good sign! Will look forward to trying the cream teas on the next visit as they look totally scrummy!

£19 bought two enormous plates of fish and chips. Realised later we could have had half portions which would be an option another time. With that came one soft drink from the chiller. We went back for the yule log and a pot of tea both of which were excellent. We were impressed enough by the quality of the food to book up a Christmas meal when our children and grandchildren visit later this month, as we will take them to the Santa's grotto which is run for charity and has good reviews locally. There's a lot of merchandise set out for people wanting to buy gifts, and plants to tempt any gardener. The afternoon tea menu and breakfasts look good too. It's all there on the website if you want to check it out.

Been here more times than I can count. I love the plants and goods on sale. The outdoor seating is great in summer. The coffee shop is nicely decked out with crafts for sale and a pretty Christmas tree. BUT, it is SO cold in here, it is warmer outside. The place is almost empty and all are in their coats and scarves. I am frozen and my tea is cold before I sipped it! On last weekend, I got so cold even with coat and scarf I was glad to leave. It is simply loyalty that brought me back. I assumed the staff will have noticed? Or, the place is TOO confident in loyalty they are going to continue the indoors big freeze. Well, if nothing else the festive afternoon teas will be very festive, with real icicles hanging from the ceiling and men's beards!

We popped in here to look around the garden centre and with the intention of treating ourselves to tea and cake. Around 2 ish 2 of the cakes were down to one slice and to my mind possibly dry. The Chelsea buns had a mean amount of icing on and the pre packed Eccles cake would have cost £1.90. We decided we could buy a whole cake for the same cost and went o look at those just outside the entrance of the coffee. In the end we went to a local supermarket and bought lovely Pecan Danish's for 49P. An idea for this place to think about is to allow people to buy whole fruit cakes etc. I think available for about £3.45 for a slab of nice looking cake on display outside of the cafe and to get their hot drinks in the cafe. It's a win win solution. Got some nice pots though!!

Attached to Squire's Gardening Centre and Nursery is a large cafe/canteen that serves up a good round of breakfast along with some great coffee and tea varieties. The very best thing about this coffee shop and the main reason why I've rated it so high is the sitting areas, both indoor and out are overlooking the small country farm on the opposite side of the road. On a nice sunny Saturday morning this is definitely one of my favorite places to get breakfast, and hey, why not pick up a few gardening bits while you're at it. Highly recommend!

The staff and atmosphere were brilliant, I ordered a mixed grill and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Matt and Ben were lovely and ill definitely come again! *Update* Well tonight was hard for me (the 19th) as tomorrow is the (20th). The 20th is 18 months since I lost my wife. Dave, Mat, Ben and Tracy (all staff) thank you for being normal, it means everything. To Tom? Dude you are friends with friends of my daughter, thank you for being yourself, it means more than you know. Finally to the two people dancing ( I bought you a drink if that helps jog your memory), thank you so much, as your normal smashed my normal and helped me more than you will ever know. To bring all of this into context, I lost my wife 18 months ago, your normality, sense of fun, and kindness helped me more than you will ever know. Love to you all ❤️

Frankly appalling. Staff were indifferent and poorly trained. Previous customers' cups and plates were left on table and only cleared away when requested by me. The floor was being vacuumed with a trailing cable across cusomer areas. And to top it all, I was charged £9 for a coffee (no saucer) and a cake which lacked any significant flavour. I will definately not be going there again. - Be warned!

The Foley has had a makeover and the interior is beautiful and cosy (we haven't sat outside yet because of the weather). Great atmosphere on a Sunday afternoon, esp with the fires on. We had a roast and couldn't fault it. Lovely portions, hot food and attentive service. The manager (a French lady I think) is always super accommodating and friendly. Thanks!

Disappointed. We were served by two very attentive excellent waitresses. However the fish pie was almost inedible. Watery thin cream sauce with undercooked fish and crumb topping with hardly any potato. Accompanying kale was lukewarm. Second time eaten here and food not the best. Will not go a third time.

Went here based on a recommendation in a paper. Sadly it did not live up to expectations. Welcome was functional not especially friendly. Where we were sat was crafty and I kept my jacket on for most of the meal. Sunday roast was average. Slightly dry and lacking seasoning chicken and soggy roast potatoes. The Yorkshire puddings however were excellent.
