Appealing menu. Nice space with tablecloths making it look attractive. Handed menus quickly and told about Specials board. Staff took our food order and drinks, we hadn't been shown drink list, they were friendly. Drinks arrived quickly but waited over an hour for food! We hadn't been told about any delay or wait. Food was tasty but we were so hungry it was eaten quickly. Enquired about wait for dessert and we're told kitchen wouldn't even look at the order for at least 15 minutes . It was ridiculous as we wanted cheesecake with a scoop of icecream which any member of staff could have prepared.

Had a very good meal at Cyprium Restaurant. We just had a main and a sweet. My wife had the Stroganoff which she thought was very good. I had the pan fried hake fillet which was excellent. Both meals were nice and hot and served fairly quickly after ordering so first class service from the kitchen and serving staff. We each had the Chocolate Hazelnut Sphere which was delicious and very reasonably priced. Presentation was great with a selection of fresh fruit. Just wish we had taken a photo. We had a glass of wine each and it was served in very nice appropriate glasses. The severs were polite and attentive. The ambience could be improved as the absence of soft furnishings meant that the noise level was higher than we would have preferred.. But all in all we had a very good evening and would definitely recommend.

Priory Farm Garden Room Café is a little sanctuary of good food, great people, and wonderful atmosphere. I came to visit last Friday and had some lunch whilst working remotely. I ordered the chicken burger and some tater tots - it was absolutely delicious, perfectly cooked, full of flavour, and beautifully presented. You can tell the food here is made with quality ingredients and a lot of care. Sitting outside surrounded by the peaceful garden setting was such a treat. Abi, the manager, is an absolute credit to the place. Warm, friendly, and clearly passionate about what she does, she makes every guest feel genuinely welcome. Her attention to detail and lovely nature really set the tone for the rest of the team. The service was great too - friendly, relaxed, and just the right balance of attentiveness without ever feeling rushed. The only small downside was the lack of wi-fi. As someone who often likes to work remotely, it would be such a bonus to have a reliable connection while enjoying a coffee and bite to eat in such a lovely environment - fingers crossed that’s something that might be added in the future. All in all, it was a genuinely lovely visit. Big thanks to the manager and the team for creating such a welcoming and enjoyable place. Can’t wait to be back!

Came here from supper on the way home from seeing family and friends. The food was excellent and the service was brilliant. My only criticism, which is what deserved two stars is that there wasn’t the facility for ordering from one’s table, for while I am fully mobile, I have an old and dear friend who uses a wheelchair, and she would need to be able to order from the table.

Although service was acceptable the food was very much below par. The chicken was dry & only lukewarm warm. So called Truffle chips, were no more than skinny fries (under cooked)!with a ton of Parmesan cheese. Lamb shank, Cold in the middle, sauces had skin on the top, mashed potatoes were thick with a goey thick skin, as though they had sat around, gone cold & zapped too many times in a microwave!!! This was returned &!re ordered a lemon chicken pasta. This was only mildly warm, the pasta had soaked in the majority of the ‘sauce’, which was thick & stodgy.the food didn’t move when cut into, it was solidified. This too was returned!! Left the restaurant feeling downhearted & hungry, so went to the garage & bought snacks as soon as hungry!!!

The cafe is situated right behind the main historic dockyard reception area and has a great view out towards HMS Warrior and Spinniker Tower. Although there’s a large restaurant further inside the dockyard, a number of other cafes are closed due to the current Covid situation but it’s quieter here as most visitors head straight on to the dockyard attractions. Not sure about opening times as it closed for a period in the afternoon whilst we were there - not sure if it was due to staffing or some other issue?

Great food delivered in a fine dining room, Breakfast menu was a little light on the number of dishes and to be honest paying £15 for an English breakfast was very expensive. We therefore expected a breakfast of high quality so we wouldn't feel hungry. Sadly the food was lovely but wasn't enough to salve our appetite. Very disappointed.

First visit here for lunch whilst en route to Winkworth Arboretum. Left with very mixed feelings. It's in a nice location with attractive interior decor but... Completely agree with other reviews regarding staff. The girl on the till came to take our order about 3 seconds after we'd sat down; she didn't seem to have a clue how to use the tablet for orders and spent most of her time standing around doing nothing whilst the guy in the kitchen did all the work. As a result we ended up having to wait ages for our food. We ordered quiche + 2 salads and sausage roll + 2 salads. The food was ok but charging £12 for that is outrageous! And to make matters worse, they allow dogs inside and my lunch was ruined by 3 tiny, stinky dogs arriving at the table behind me. In my view, dogs should not be allowed inside where people are eating - it is so unhygienic. Leave them outside! There are better, cheaper cafes around so I suggest you seek them out.
