Stopped by this pub whilst working in the area, decent selection of drinks and reasonably priced, decent atmosphere and showed sport which was a bonus, would return.

Not a particular fan of Sunday roasts especially those outside the home, but ate here last month for Mothers Day and was amazed! Food was excellent with crispy roast potatoes, excellent yorkshires and a large variety of veg. Last Sunday we had the opportunity to try the take home version. Items are separated with instructions to heat slowly and again the result was excellent. The pub itself is old and full of character. There is also a garden out the back with excellent views which we intend to visit this Summer. Try it, you won't be disappointed!

El peor lugar donde estamos. . . Open Mic gestionado por un DJ no calificado que, como siempre, da prioridad a su frienanahim. por favor. . . lejos de este lugar y del señor Red Hart. . .

The staff excellent friendly and vey welcoming. The food is always amazing had the best coronation chicken sandwich and delicious chips. On past visits had the lasagne again very tasty although unless you have a large appetite go for the small then you may have room for the tasty desserts.

After a trip out to Kintbury decided to Google local Toby and quickly booked on line and luckily could get a table. Warm and welcoming staff. Clean restaurant and the Carvery meat all available with all accompanying vegetables hot. Quick service. Left a happy customer. Thanks again.

We ordered lunch, sadly their fish cakes did not disclose cheese only discovered it when I cut into it. Initially chef seemed uninterested, they eventually sent a young member of staff gp who bought me a replacement for the fish cake and apologised. Did confirm they will indicate on the menu in fiputure.

Positives: Food was delicious, the menu provided lots of options for vegetarians (you could make any burger veggie). The staff were very friendly and helpful. Negatives: On the expensive side. Finding the entrance was a little difficult as the new location is down an alley way. Summary: Very enjoyable meal. Love the new location. Will be visiting again.

I had coffee at the Herb Garden today and developed a nasty cough whilst I was there. A member of staff brought me a glass of water (she obviously heard me coughing) without my asking. I was impressed; she went beyond the call of service. Thankyou! Gold stars all round. Coffee and scone delicious too!

Stayed here in Feb, and enjoyed our evening at the Ropetackle Arts Centre, and night here. However this time room 6 was a bit of a come down from our last stay in room 4. The room was still clean warm good sized rooms and facilities, and the staff friendly, nice bar and lounge, quirky in a good way, lovely well kept ales, right within stones throw of all the best of Shoreham. We had to use some safety pins we happened to have to get the curtain to meet and block some of the courtyard light, and move a bedside light to throw some light into the wash/shower room where both bulbs were blown. We did very much still enjoy our stay. Recommend Hector's Shed for breakfast, just near the church.

We went for a special birthday lunch with a guest who is very hard of hearing. A table in a quiet alcove had been booked to cater for his disability. When we arrived, on time, this table had been given to others, seriously detracting from the experience. Whilst the staff on duty were friendly and helpful, there were not enough of them; the service was slow. Apart from the main course fish, the portions were very small. This particularly applies to the thimbleful of mushy peas served to my wife. The expense of refurbishment of this restaurant was wasted. The venue is letting down the reputation of Tunbridge Wells. We will not visit again.

Unfortunately, this was my second time here to give it the benefit of the doubt, as on my first visit I had to complain. I had a breakfast which was greasy, but edible. I wouldn't order again. My friend had the veg breakfast, and the burger was very dry. Desert was okay, except my friend had the apple pie with ice cream. It wasn't mentioned when ordering that the ice cream was extra cost. Cherry pancake was the best out of the bunch.
