Waitrose Cafe in Bracknell Forest

Very clean cafe but the scones were burnt and coffee were cold. Don’t think we would go there again, as our Canterbury one is really good

High quality cold and hot snacks and breakfasts that can all be washed down by a hot fresh brewed drink or something cold. There is also a fresh cake to tempt you also. Today I had a pre Christmas hot turkey and cranberry sandwich with a skinny flat white coffee whilst reading a news paper. There are two Coffee bars in the Wokingham branch for those who also want something light and quick. Definitely recommend if if you are not good shopping. Please like if this helped.

We've given this place the benefit of the doubt a few times now, and each time we've been disappointed; it certainly doesn't live up to the Waitrose brand image. Avoid.In particular, it seems that they can only serve exactly what's on the menu. Don't like an element of the cooked breakfast and want to swap it for something else? Tough luck. No apology or offer to help, just point blank 'computer says no' attitude. Despite the large number of staff milling about, the service is inexcusably sloooow (as other people have commented).So we've learned our lesson and we won't be back. Shame.

If you're after a quick bite to eat while shopping, avoid or cook it yourself. It'll be much faster! Four staff (and about as many customers) took 40 minutes to produce a sausage roll. When I asked after 25 minutes, there was the usual indifferent response. This has happened too many times now so we'll be off to one of the many other options in Bracknell town centre

A good tea/coffee snack stop. Place was very clean and tidy. The staff were a bit slow with service, but were very attentive and helpful. A good place for a quick break.

Woow. The staff really went to town for us all when we went for an early morning breakfast at The cafe in Waitrose in Bracknell the day before my daughters wedding on Thursday 23rd May. We ordered our cooked breakfast for 7 of us and sat down but happen to say we were getting an early breakfast ahead of a long day preparing for the next days wedding. Well, the staff and the chef could not do enough for us from that point on to help make this a memorable occasion. They went out of their way to make this a banquet against a normal breakfast. They gave us pre starter toast, jams and orange juice to keep us entertained whilst they cooked the breakfast with more coffee where required. And to top it off they gave my daughter the bride to be a bottle of bubbly as a present. A big thank you to Paul the chef and the serving team that day for making it a memorable occasion and show how good it can be if you are a Waitrose staff partner. Nice to have a break when shopping and a good plavce to meet a friend. Cakes are sometimes reduced in price and quality of coffee is good.

A quality product at a good price... certainly comparing most favourably other supermarkets... Two excellent breakfasts no issues!

Visited today for lunch with a member of my team. Seemed to take ages to come and they had run out of cutlery !!

Yummy gourmet sausages in a roll or a fresh scone. A lot quieter than it used to be now the Lexicon is up and running. Quick lunch after shopping. Friendly staff always helpful.

When in town and I fancy a light brunch/breakfast at a reasonable price then this where I go. Free news paper and WiFi in a well lit, spacious and airy atmosphere just a stones throw from the main shopping area. Be careful their car park though as you only get 90minutes free other wise the ANPR system will give you a hefty fine. Definite recommend especially the bacon and egg breakfast roll. Pls like if this helped.

Conveniently located but limited by the 90min free parking limit. Would stay longer but there’s no method to pay past the 90minutes. Food is good but not a large selection but is fit for purpose. Free news papers and WiFi available which are always welcome. Would recommend.

Disappointing venue that does not reflect the Waitrose brand. Cafe service is amateurish and the delay waiting for food (even when it's quiet) is absurd. And very overpriced. Avoid.

I’ve been waiting here for 30 minutes for a breakfast sausage roll the little girls behind the counter haven’t got a clue - it took them ( five behind the counter ) 15 minutes to take an order and then another 20 minutes to deliver it. I guess we will have to get used to poor service post Brexit when all the talented workers have gone home

So I come here quite often to do some work when I’m not in the office. I asked for a coffee in a takeout cup which I then remembered they stopped doing.

I have visited for breakfast a few times with my friend while we are on a break from work. Usually I will get the cooked breakfast however it is normally lacking and for what you pay for it is really not that great. Last weekend I decided to get the Avocado on toast with bacon and it was really good. Food was fresh and very tasty! Drinks wise I helped myself to a glass of water which was quite handy being out by the cutlery etc.. Staff were alright, nothing special. We did want to have a wonder into town afterwards however the doors were blocked with highchairs.. so we didn't.

Normally a strong advocate of Waitrose cafe but today my meal and staff attitude was poor. The smallest jacket pot ever with a small amount of Tuna and salsa for £5.50. Very poor value. I could of had a full Meal else where for that price. Also I over heard a comment from one of the older counter staff when my daughter sat down whilst I ordered and Over heard her say “I hope she does not think she is going to eat that Sushi in here”. We had just bought it to take home and had not bought a bag. Subsequently we limited our order and went else where as she did not want to eat here. I finished my miniature backed potato and went to M&S; to eat and drink more. Not sure I will return...

Easy access and plenty of parking. Opens at 7am for breakfast. Try the bacon and egg roll, a news paper and a cup of coffee. Be careful though if the 90 minute free car park limit. No free coffee in the cafe now with you club card but they do have a special in that if you buy a coffee you get a free cake or muesli porridge. Worth a visit.

We shop here every week and like the outlet, however the food today was bland and only partially cooked!

I love shopping at Waitrose ,because of good Quality of food and meat,and vegetables and other stuff. The cafe is ok ,but we find it dearly especially their breakfast. Being a supermarket with their own commodities, we don’t know why they charge too much on breakfast and cakes. I supposed they think all people who use their cafe are posh. Nevertheless may be because of its name Waitrose

Stopped after shopping, needed a coffee, Apart from the very long wait it was reasonable. Think they must have been short staffed. .

Located just outside the town centre with its own car parking free for 90 minutes but don’t go over. Easy access from within the shop or via a side entrance. Reasonable selection of hot and cold food with drinks. I would recommend the bacon and egg in a ciabatta roll. No free coffee served now in the cafe for those with a locality card except at the customer services desk and deli counter. Would recommend. Plse like if this helped.

Inside this place regularly as it is convenient however the menu choice is limited and if it is busy it is a nightmare to get what you want and get served. I feel this place is wasted potential for Waitrose, it could be so much better, certainly with all the competition on its door step the Waitrose store has a high foot fall and are missing the opportunity, most people just queue for their free coffee. The service is hit or miss depending who you get and the food is average, disappointed to see some.of my favourites from the menu where taken off.

I often find myself a tad peckish when shopping and luckily for me Waitrose has a lovely Coffee Cake Lunch type place on store. You can relax over a coffee or when hungry sample freshly made soups, sandwiches and more. A very nice place to be. Lunch times though can be busy but it’s just for a short time because of its popularity with local workers. Very nice attentive staff whom always smile and are genuinely chatty.

Nice breakfast while shopping & a catch up with friends, beware the new rules on parking because even if you are in the store spending money you may still get a parking fine as some of our party did!!!!!!!

It's ok if you go when it's not busy, if it's busy then it's just not enjoyable. Waitrose cafes vary.

We often stop here for a cuppa whilst shopping, the coffee and snacks are very nice. Getting a seat can be tricky but this will ease somewhat now the rest of the town is open. God quality all round

Supermarket cafe, nothing else. Dirty tables, crockery not removed quickly and some of the slowest service ever experienced. Take away the free coffee offer and it would be empty.

Recently refitted with an outside seating area with parking for 1.5 hrs. Reasonable selection of light bite foods. Biggest meal...

Really well run efficient little cafe. Good choice of sandwiches and a fresh daily soup with some really healthy choices. Even when they are really busy it runs well and without panic. Lovely choice of cakes and a small but well thought out menu. You can used you Waitrose card to get discount on hot drinks . Great for a rest during a shopping trip. Clean , bright and airy. Sometime I buy sushi from the shop which is delicious and eat it in the cafe , not sure you are supposed to do that but if they aren't busy I guess you can get away with it as after all it is from Waitrose.

Nice to have breakfast before carry on shopping. They do brunch and English breakfast as well as just continental and quick coffee if you want . The price is a bit dearly but hey it's Waitrose quality. We enjoyed the breakfast. Next time we will try the lunch

Friendly staff just need a few more now the lexicon has arrived to clear tables etc. But I love the cafe.

This is a pleasant cafe for shoppers. However, the competition has arrived in the shape of the Lexicon development next door. So I hope it raises its game. Get the staff to be a bit more cheerful.

Located inside the store with plenty of parking and in easy access of the new upgraded shopping center in walking distance. Inside and outside seating now available. Counter based service which can be a little wanting sometimes based on a single payment point and capable staff. However good to get your free coffee for card holder with a reasonable hot or cold food.

We waited for 45 minutes for food to arrive. No butter on the bacon rolls, bacon rolls rock hard and inedible, eggs not prepared as requested, no management in evidence, not a single member of staff doing the one thing that common sense dictates under these circumstances which is to keep customers informed, no apologies. Come on Waitrose, we thought you were better than this.

I've been using this cafe for years, mostly on a Saturday lunch time with varying degrees of business. The good.... food is good quality, fresh and very tasty, the selection isn't huge but the hot sandwiches are better than M&S' pre-packed ones they warm up in a microwave (and are tasteless). Ham and cheese toastie is a favourite. The bad..... queues, slow service (generally 20-30 min wait for hot food after waiting to be served for 10 mins+ initially), average coffee that goes cold quickly, dirty water-stained cutlery (if there is any), dirty tables which I've never seen any staff wipe (gross) or clear, generally looks shabby. Recently introduced a tray return which is always full. Generally have to clear my own table. This could be so much better. With M&S opening this month opposite Waitrose, and a whole host of other restaurants and cafes opening in the Lexicon in Sept, plus the 90min car park restriction coming in in the next few weeks, Waitrose needs to seriously up its game to compete.

I had breakfast here with toast and coffee. The food was alright but the service was very very slow and I struggled to find cutlery that did not have old dried food on it.

As supermarket coffee shops go this is very good. The hook is the free coffee with a £10 spend and it is what you expect from John Lewis however I only use it if I am shopping in the supermarket.

This is a lovely store, everyone helpful and friendly, when the trolley has everything on your list, park it and grab a coffee in this spacious, airy cafe! Just right!HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Had a very nice snack lunch here after shopping. The new menu has given me some lovely lunch ideas to try at home. My Daughter & myself have varied on their ideas & it has been a great inspiration. Reasonably priced too.

It's ok. It's a cafe in a shop. It's coffee is dire but hot food is well presented & if you get there before 2 the cakes are usually good. After 2 it's lean pickings.

This is just a cafe and Waitrose spoils their customers with this treat .Long queue but good coffee. Nice cut sandwiches are also available, plus the usual English breakfast with nice teas and coffee and lovely croissants..

Great lunch ideas & good coffee, very busy here so sometimes difficult to get a table. It is often used by people having a business meeting & they tend to hog the tables which is a pity for shoppers when that really is the idea of the place.

I was not so hungry on that day, so I ordered Wild Rice Herb and Chicken Salad for my lunch, before shopping for grocery at Waitrose. Although it was quite crowded, as usual, during lunch time, I did not have to wait for too long for my salad to arrive. I like the mixture of beans and seeds, together with the wild rice, chicken and rocket leaves. It was quite a delicious meal due to the healthy ingredients in it. The staff also cleared the tables and disinfect ed them as soon as customers left after finishing their meals. Thumbs up for their good hygiene!

We always pop in here to have a coffee after shopping. Sometimes it can be very noisy when there are children in with their parents. The coffee is lovely and the staff are very friendly.

The food and drink were good, but the staffs were not customer oriented. they cared about what time they can go home more than anything else.

I have been coming here on a daily basis for the last 3 months. As part of my rehab, a daily walk to and back with the reward of a great coffee and very friendly helpful staff. There are many alternatives in the area. But I will always use Waitrose cafe as my 1st choice.

Nice choice of food, most of the time if you manage to avoid rush then it's a cozy little place for nice snacks, our food and tea or coffee. Very nice people to serve who are friendly and always caring. If you are sweet tooth like me then try out the treats and you would not be disappointed. Recently Waitrose has started their own sushi place and they do some amazing stuff; they call it the sushi corner and make fresh sushi from menu over the counter. Really recommend not to miss or if you are not a sushi lover this might change your mind.

Popped in for a free coffee but bought the chicken bacon brie flat bread with rocket and was thoroughly pleased with it, restaurant quality food.Well done Waitrose....

Excellent service (as you would expect) and a decent breakfast too. And so good to be able to drop in and then do shopping!

I was disappointed with this particular Waitrose Cafe. The coffee was a little bitter for my liking and whenever I have visited it, I have not found the staff as friendly or efficient as I would expect from part of the John Lewis partnership. We have tweeted their Head Office in the past about the service and things have not transformed as a result of our feedback.

Go to some cafes around the country, but not all the same. No continuity! Wouldn't do the like extra to make the visit easier i.e. You wanted yo read your newspaper in the cafe but wouldn't serve you. Why?

Always good for breakfast on Sunday, frequently we have had so so service, particularly from the younger staff. But recently with more mature staff, the service level in terms of smiles and speed of service has definitely improved. I was so impressed by a lovely gentleman who I think is one of the chefs, helping a single dad with two small children, and bringing my daughters favourite chips within just a few minutes of ordering, and he did this with a smile and a really lovely demeanour. Great staff choices Waitrose, your food is always consistent quality, but historically it has taken a long time to arrive, and your staff have all seemed somewhat grumpy and put out by customers ordering hot food, but recently with older staff and a few more smiles, food is arriving quickly and the atmosphere is lovely.

We had a breakfast here and were very disappointed, to the point we complained on line! It was slow, staff ok but seemed confused or too busy. And whilst my breakfast was ok quality when it came, it was served in a large bowl ..... pretty but impractical as everything is squeezed in. I had a pleasant breakfast of scrambled eggs and roast tomatoes and a coffee. Hot drink service was slow but the food came quickly and was tasty.If you want a coffee in quiet surroundings then this isxa good option.

Had breakfast here this morning,and the whole breakfast was cold, might be an idea to have hot plates, as well as waiting 25 when the restaurant was empty

Make sure you have a watrose card so you get a free coffee. You can also upgrade for a few pence. Cakes etc good. Nice snacks.

I ordered hot milk with coffee and was given cold. I had waited so long, I could not be bothered to tell them. I ordered toast which was 25 mins arriving. I could see other customers waiting a long time for food. The cafe was quiet so no obvious reason. Tables of dirty crockery left not cleared up. As previous review, nice place but staff not managed.

Though the food isn't gourmet it's pretty good for a supermarket cafe! My visit was made much nicer thanks to a cheap nearby car park at Station Square, RG12 1QB!

A typical Waitress cafe on the side of the shop selling over priced cakes and reasonable coffee. The staff are attentive as you would expect in Waitrose; an average experience but then you do not go there for a romantic evening!

As a regular customer at waitrose, I decided to take my daughter for lunch in the cafe.There was a little wait until I got served and once I put my order through I went to go sit down.Once I found a table I had to clear all the rubbish from previous people off the table and wipe the table my self.As I sat waiting for a while one staff member decided to inform that something wasn't available which was fine but when the other item arrived which was a child's pre - packed sandwich, I was a little surprised it to soo long for them to inform me they had no ham sandwich considering it was already made up.Waitrose breakfast is always so good but they need to improve on keeping there cafe tables clean and informing customers if something is not available at the till.

Visited the store today for a quick lunch. The time was 1405. My partner joined a very short queue to order food whilst I tried to find a clean table. The cafe was not overly busy; several tables were unoccupied but all remained uncleared.I switched tables four times whilst observing staff walking by uncleared tables oblivious to the fact that they needed clearing and cleaning. The whole cafe was filthy with food remnants covering the floor.I had already decided that I would not be eating here when my partner overheard the counter staff telling the person in front of him in the queue that the wait for hot food would be a minimum of 25 minutes !This is not the first time we have witnessed this in this store but the first time I have decided to write a review. This is a flagship store!!On leaving, we commented to a manager that the cafe was a disgrace and in a disgusting mess and his response was, 'oh. Ok'.Come on Waitrose you should be doing better than this. If you cannot cope, close the cafe for the 25 minutes hot food waiting time and enable your staff to clean the place and your kitchen staff to catch up.

We came to Waitrose Staines shopping and took advantage of our free coffee entitlement. The staff are really friendly and the cafe is lovely, we will definitely go back.

Went for brunch with my 4 year old; good selection including porridge with compot and bacon and egg sandwiches. Coffee and babycino are good too with a choice of cakes/pastries. Gets busy though around lunchtime so the wait can be long.

Excellent cafe for tea and cake. My husband and son loves coming here when we visit Bracknell. They have a variety of food for lunch or snacks.

The free coffee helps but the food is good as one would expect in a Waitrose. Nice people come here before doing their shopping.

Good selection of snacks, meals or just a yummy cake. High quality as one would expect from Waitrose. Always busy - that says a lot.

I shop here daily and stop in the cafe at least once per week (sometimes 3 or 4 times). It is a clean, minimalist area with with a generally nice atmosphere for a supermarket cafe. It can feel a little too clinical sometimes though and is not particularly cosy. The service is generally good and food of a good quality. Occasionally they will have a problem which is either caused by or made worse by seemingly poor management. Frustrating as it ruins an otherwise nice experience and I expect high standards from my beloved Waitrose! Also, recently they have made noticeable cost-cutting measures which to a regular visitor feels a little like they might be trying to get greedy and depart slightly from the values that has seen them become such a success over the last decade. For example, nice napkins are being replaced by small hight-street coffee style ones, meals are having their portions reduced despite the prices remaining the same etc. None of these reasons are enough for me to stop being a frequent customer as it's still one of the nicer cafes around, however, I am mindful that they weaken my loyalty somewhat and if similar quality competition comes to the area I may go elsewhere on occasion. Still, I would happily recommend to anyone who wants a coffee and light bite or needs to set camp for some work or a meeting.
