The Running Horse in Bracknell Forest

Our regular local for food. Just had Sunday roast which was ok. Came with a drinks deal. James served our food and we’ve known him in the pub for a long time. Always attentive and wishes us a nice day every time. Great customer service from him everytime we visit. New outdoor furniture installed this week but the pub in general is crying out for a refurbishment. Greene king, get your act together, this as a good pub other than the deccor.

Lovely family friendly pub with a good selection of drinks and food was great- especially with a fussy child who was intent on a non-menu meal but they were able to provide exactly what was wanted. Jordan and Cally were both especially helpful when Blue light card discount wasn't available due to bank holiday, and by downloading the Greene King Sports app, I was able to get a free drink and 10% off drinks which realy helped. Also a little play area which was great for the little one to burn off some energy before heading back to the hotel :)

Staff came across rude and abrupt.NOT a nice experience to have endured, Customer skills training required!!!

Plenty of parking. Wheelchair accesible. Clean toilets. Friendly staff. Cheap and cheerful delicious food, which is just what we needed after a long day. A Hungry horse never dissapoints!

We often have family birthdays here and they always go out of there way to make us welcome. The food was great.

Food is really nice, the team are friendly and attentive. Place is great, we enjoy coming here.

Jordan was exceptional tonight. It’s not easy coming out for dinner with 2 young kids at times, but his customer service and attention to the kids is something a lot of staff can learn from.

We popped in for some food and to watch some football. The food & drink came quickly. The staff were friendly and checked in on us to see if we needed anything. The food was good, well priced and very tasty.

Roast dinner was gross vegetables had seen better days one slice of beef 4 small roast potatoes and the mash looks like it had been sitting there for days , the sausage on the mixed grill looked like it hadn't seen a fryer the rest of the meat on the plate was dry

Me and my partner come in a lot of the time and we have amazing service especially from Michelle and Jordan and the team we thoroughly love it here and we always want too come back for the atmosphere. Would definitely recommend the place

Decent meal for a reasonable price. Large group (15-18 people) on the adjacent tables from a local football team, were rather loud rather spoiling the atmosphere. Hence my lower rating for Atmosphere.

I went in and immediately i got greeted by Jordan on the bar, he was bubbly asked loads of pleasant questions and gave amazing service. He checked back and made sure everything was going well for me and my family. I recommend the drinks and the food also. We will definitely come back again. Again Jordan was AMAZING

We regularly visit the Running Horse on Friday lunchtime as we very much enjoy their buy one get one free offer on burgers. Our favourite is the Korean BBQ chicken burger which we had again this time. It was delicious and generous. Our compliments to the chef and to our regular waiter James who as always was friendly and efficient.

Kally, Caroline and Sarah are great, make you feel welcome and are very accommodating

Upon arriving we noticed a sign on the door advising of staff absence. This had no negative bearing on the service, we were taken car of very well. Kally was great, her smile never slipped, even with being on her own all day

Great family meal! Short staffed but they were all working extremely hard to still give great service. Food was excellent!

We had a booking for 16 people. The service was outstanding, the staff were all so friendly and helpful. The food was amazing and generously portioned. We all had a great time, and some stayed on to play pool. We're looking forward to coming back again.

The gravy burger was so scrumptious and I ate the entire lot so did everyone else. James was so kind and cleaned our table and the chefs cooked out food amazingly and deserve a good review.

A cheap local but with food its a roulette wheel, sometimes ok sometimes lousy. If its real busy then good chance of a poor meal. Avoid steaks

We have been here about 6 times over the past year whilst visiting The service is always brilliant both efficient and friendly We always have fish and chips ( meat free Monday) and it is always fantastic. The fish and batter are amazing! Thankyou Running Horse Look forward to our next visit and wish we lived closer otherwise you would be our regular Redlady

A e course Christmas lunch for 85 people. The organisation for serving this amount of people was absolutely superb. The staff were festive, amazing. The food was very well presented, and was served together as a table. Hot food came out hot, and portions were generous. A very enjoyable experience.

fab dinner but new menu is due not enough fish choice needs a little refub but the staff are quick and happy to serve x been going here for years plenty of parking and very spacious inside

Fish and chips x 2 was simple but excellent and cooked perfectly. James attended to us in a very friendly and professional manner. Excellent value for money. Marks for atmosphere reflect that it was early evening and still very quiet and isn't a crisis of the pub.

We had breakfast with our children. The owners and the staff were really friendly and helpful. The food was great value for money.

If I could give zero stars, I would. They have the most rude bar tender I have ever encountered! We asked for a table and there were only two of us, although we didn't have a booking it was rather quiet. She looked at me like I'd insulted her and scoffed, telling me, "No, obviously we don't have a table"... there were tables free with no reserved signs on them. I was shocked and didn't know what to say as the way she spoke and made me feel stupid and vile in myself for asking a simple question. I would never go here again and I urge other people not to.

Popped in for a quick lunch, and couple of beers. James was a star, great service, friendly and funny and an absolute asset to the Running Horse.

Stopped for Sunday lunch prior to visit to UK Lapland. We all ate Sunday roast. Both meats were well cooked, roasties and yorkshire pudding were nice. The vegetables could have been a bit softer and plates hot as the food soon went cold. We were sat by a door and it was a cold area (must be an issue as they have heaters dotted about). All in all it was a fair price for what we had and would recommend as close to where we were visiting!

Took neighbour’s lad for his 18th! The old chap won’t speak to me but spoke to the kid directly instead, felt a bit weird, old chap behind the bar, was lovely to everyone but myself! Used to take People with Learning difficulties there back in the day, staff were very helpful, not sure what the guys problem. It’s very sad to be made to feel really uncomfortable grabbing a quick bite. I live two minutes away, it’s really quite sad!!

We visited the pub for a quick meal whilst visiting the area. The food was really reasonably priced, lots of choice and the servers were polite and took the time to interact with our children. The best bit....we left behind our children's ipads and headphones and Kally took the time to ring around until they found us to let them know they kept them safe for us! Thank you Kally and staff for your kindness, it's much appreciated.
