It’s just not my kind of place The shop has lots of nice things but the prices are utterly ridiculous. The Christmas decorations are extortionate. It does have an excellent selections so good for Christmas shopping if the budget isn’t too important Food court/restaurant had an excellent selection. The Christmas lunch was a huge portion but unfortunately stone cold. I’ve put average , as it isn’t bad, it’s just there are much better value places to go

Dismal experience. Garlic bread was cold and tough. Mac n cheese was a stodgy mess. Bottomless ice cream was tasteless and the machine packed up on the 2nd trip. The rest of our dessert order was forgotten until I drew it to the manager's attention despite there being only one other table of guests in the entire place. I can see why now. The one redeeming feature was the hot choc pud with ice cream and orange drizzle. Delicious! Otherwise, it was a very under average experience.

We had a mixture of food, the gardeners breakfast was delicious - we don’t like tomatoes so asked for the breakfast without, we were offered an alternative additional item in lieu (without having to ask). We also had a Viennese crumble mince pie (Kat, the lady at the till recommended having clotted cream with it - a fantastic idea with we decided to take) and a ginger bread Christmas tree - the cakes were all delicious! The hot drinks were also good quality and very tasty. All in all a fantastic visit to the restaurant!!!

We tried the restaurant for our anniversary and weren’t disappointed. Despite some previous reviews that aren’t that great, we thought we’d try it and I can honestly say it was absolutely wonderful. The service is old school and excellent. We were extremely well looked after and we both thought the food was absolutely first class. It is a very old building and as such the decor and atmosphere is very ‘of its time’. It’s not modern and 21 century styled. It is sympathetic to its history which we loved. The gazpacho was delicious (no need for croutons and keep it really cold please) and the scallops, lamb and accompaniments were absolutely delicious. My husband had a fillet steak and he was very happy - cooked rare as he likes it and tender and delicious. The pavlova could have been better (ice cream instead of cream and the meringue poss not homemade) but honestly for the money it was excellent value. We had a really wonderful evening and will definitely return. Please do give it a go.

Another meal out whilst holidaying in Seaford…. This time with my Dad and his wife. We went here for lunch. What a miserable day it was, raining and blustery winds but we walked in here and the welcome was very warm from the staff. It wasn’t very busy but that’s to be expected for a cafe on the seafront when the weather isn’t great…. but it meant we got served quicker. I had a tuna and cheese panini which came with a salad and crisps my Dad had ham, egg and chips, both were very nice and large portions. We then had a hot chocolate with the works… cream and marshmallows… well it would have been rude not too!

We had an extended layover at Gatwick, so booked a night at the inn for a family of five. The staff were very accommodating and check-in was super simple. The rooms are quaint and stylish. We had dinner at the restaurant downstairs, which was excellent and just what we were looking for. After the kids went up to bed, my wife and I went back downstairs to enjoy a pint at the pub. We loved the atmosphere...it seemed to be a place for locals, and there were a number of very well-behaved dogs sitting below their owners' bar stools. We also had breakfast the following day, and that was just fantastic. Perfect for what we needed.
