Pretty awful, loud environment. No real ales to speak of.

EM final, atmosphere were on the top. Until Spain won. But the pub offered free pizza during the gave, which was great!

Not the most celubrious place for a drunk in Eastbourne.

We have visited Eastbourne once a year for several years and always visit The Town House, partly because it was nearest our hotel but mainly for the music and vibe. In 2022 we found it quiet, in 2023 it was closed, albeit temporarily. This year, May Bank Holiday, it was open but quiet and no atmosphere. We'll try again next year.

Been here several times and never had a problem up till now.But when I attended this pub with my Jamaican.Girlfriend from london had more than three occasions where there was a racist attack on her. Try to speak to the manager eventually spoke to her son Woody. When I emphasised I felt like my partner had raciallly attacked. He said that I was threatening him. Feel like Eastbourne may be a very racist town.

Doesn’t like answering phone!!! Serves under aged kids!!! 16 and my boy and his mates come home paralytic from there . 16 bank transactions and not 1 ID check!

Very friendly and good service. Well worth a look and help them make a successful venue for refreshing fun and good vibes. Wholesome food and Very reasonable priced drinks. Take a trip to the townhouse. I definitely recommend that.

This place is great. Good music. Nice people. Good security. No problems. The band was Bowie Music. Excellent.

Strange little pub, with an old fashioned local feel to it. Not the best but certainly not the worst. Drink choices were slightly lacking. Friendly staff.

Popped in this pub while on holiday and to see the manager who I’ve known for a couple of years,bit dark in there but nice pint and would definitely use again when down in Eastbourne.

Nice pub and very pleasant staff.

Only had drinks and the Harvey's was fine and the Sauvignon Blanc icy cold.

This pub used to be my fiance's local, whilst he stayed in Eastbourne. I had a half of Strongbow it was refreshing, he had a pint costing £3. It's a sweet little pub with a lounge area to the rear with screens showing SkySports. The jukebox is no longer there. My fiance used to know the previous landlord, who he was hoping to see but was told he departed. The current one came out to the backyard (we are smokers) we engaged in short chitchat with him he came across as friendly.

Myself and my fiancé visit Eastbourne numerous times throughout the year for a break from the rut of working our nuts off in London we always use the town house it’s our new local friendly staff and the regulars are spot on it’s a proper pub where people go for a drink and have a laugh staff and management are genuine people unlike the other poncy chain owned wannabe pubs in the town be there next month can’t wait

When in Eastbourne we usually finish off the evening in the Town House as it's the nearest to our hotel. Normally very busy, occasionally with a (not bad) Karaoki. Unfortunately on this occasion, at around 9.45, it was very quiet, in fact the quietest pub of the evening. There was a group of 6 or 7 on 1 table only. So quiet that the pool table was empty so we decided to play. Around 10 we were asked to finish which we did within 15 mins and left. There were still 5 drinking at the other table and quite obviously not finishing off.

Just arrived, went into Amusement Arcades, feeling parched, found this pub, with an offer on many drinks during the day, a week day. Nice quiet pint and good value for money. Andy the landlord was nice

Was there to see a live band, music was great, atmosphere was great. The pub feels that it needs a bit of updating or tlc. Staff were helpful and lovely.

Went for a few drinks last night. Not a nice place to goto for a nice drink with friends. Plus security guard on the door looked like he had been dragged through a hedge.

It was closed; just like any other places that you may want to go out to. COZ WE ALL KNOW THAT YOU CAN CATCH THE VIRUS ON AND AFTER 10PM IN MEETING PLACES EXCEPT THE SUPPER MARKETS,PUBLIC TRANSPORT AND SUCH LIKE. HA HA HA

This Sat. We understand all Covid precautions but were shuffled quickly to the back to be seated. We were the only 2 women in the room where football on tv was being shown at an incredible volume. We couldnt cope with the noise and cheers of the fellas or hear ourselves talk so £9 worth of drinks downed in 5 mins to make our escape. Front of the bar had nice music. We know there wasnt room for us but why not have given us a nod on the loud tv so we could have gine elsewhere?!

Its an ok pub ,only had 1 here while dodging a down poor on a Wednesday afternoon as i was walking by,so only going by this quick visit

I popped into the pub and discovered it was full of characters which made it amusing it was funny listening to the banter between various people there is a small outside space in normal times has some evening entertainment barman was pleasent

'At The Races', live from rainy Redcar,on silent with half of the pub glued to every second. The other four patrons were arguing over a pram with a crying baby. Don't even ask about the music, there's less torture in Guantanamo Bay.

I have been to this Pub a few times n every time I have the staff have been very helpful n polite so if you want to stop by somewhere after shopping in the town centre then go and have a nice drink at this place " The Town House" as you will see when you go n check it out for yourself.

Disgusting behaviour from management cancelling gigs last minute and refusing to pay performers.

This is a good pub in a fantastic location. I drink in here now and again after shopping in Eastbourne. It does seem to go through management changes very quickly, so consequently you are never quite sure what to expect. I like the concept of serving beers in glasses from a fridge, this is great and improves the drink. I went in to watch the Champions league final and managed to get a good seat. Service is a bit slow, but I guess understandable on such a busy night. They have a disco on at weekends and although I didn’t stay, looked like a good atmosphere.

I’ve been going into the townhouse on and off for the last 5 years. It’s changed management a fair amount, and I’d say this is the worst. They are trying to turn this into something it is not and never will be, and that’s why it’s so empty in there now. The reviews that get left are all people known to the new manager so not very reflective of how it really is. Unless your face fits what they want in there, then it won’t be a good night. It’s a shame they feel the need to repeatedly say how bad it was in there before, no it wasn’t. Not everyone wants to constantly hear djs playing awful music no one has heard of, also too loud to even have a conversation or order a drink. Bar staff could also be friendlier and more observant!

Excellent value for money! Six of us opie-dopies went there and had fish and chips. Excellent service and lovely staff. Move over Harry Ramsden!!!!

A quirky little pub with a great atmosphere. I'd definitely recommend hitting it up on a first night when they have Karaoke on the list.
