Had a great time at Beachy Head. Well worth a visit. You won't be disappointed.

Food still good, but not as welcoming as it used to be. If the staff don't feel like lighting the fireplace, forget it. They won't do it. Still an attractive place, but less of the old magic.

Oh Lordy this place is coming downhill. The outside of the building is in dire need of refurbishing, the windows are rotten. The lack of care doesn’t prepare you for probably the most expensive wine in Eastbourne. We paid £21:10 for 2 glasses of very ordinary wine, enough you’d think to show the building a little TLC. That was definitely a last visit for us, the view is amazing but you don’t need to feel ripped off to enjoy it.

Lovely food, great views and good service sorry but there was one slightly annoying thing - flies on the windows 😏😔

Cool pub, great food, great service and upon friendly request we were allowed to stay in their parking lot overnight.

Slow service both from the bar and the food. Had the chicken strips and these were dry not brilliant. Others however enjoyed their meals. It was busybut still tables available both in and out. Great views.

I can't give a star rating for the food as every time I have tried to eat at this venue I have been turned away. Simply stating we can't eat if we haven't booked, which if the pub was full I could understand. There was a large party in say a table of 12-14 approx and two more tables eating table of 2 and table of 4. There was noone to great us to seat us for ages and noone behind the bar either. Then when we did get service we were told no food unless we had booked. As we left out of curiosity I looked on their website as was able to book a table so could have booked and gone back in but why turn people away if there I'd available tables. We won't be wasting our time visiting again. Even if we booked beforehand. Eberytime we've been turned away for one reason for another the place has been almost empty so has no atmosphere. Shame as it looks to be nice inside.

Top lunch, there is also a great selection for the children. If you like English cuisine: welcome!!! Delicious and authentic, I think the high tea would also be an experience. So have a reason to come back and try it!

Wonderful service, great menu and food was fantastic

Met with a friend over lunch, we ordered at the bar rather than table service and opted for a selection of starters to share. The food was lovely (one dish wasn’t very warm but still delicious). Service was good. There is however an infestation of blue bottles - we did move to a different table but it was no better there, so not particularly pleasant. Toilets need a makeover, they look grubby and the less said about the smell the better. So basically it just needs a spruce up and some fly killer!!!

Went for a Sunday roast, the staff were lovely, the view was beautiful and the food was great, nice portions, lovely garlic roasties and succulent meat.

We just went in for a coffee and a chat after lunch in town - and it was lovely and relaxing, with fabulous views across the Downs and sea, a warm log fire and friendly service. Very enjoyable. We must try it for lunch sometime!

Arrived 5.30 so mist the offer of two course special price. Was quiet were 3 staff we cleaned our table , ordered at the bar and drinks , nice man serving . Lasagna both pipping hot / plate little expensive (compared to Grimsby ) There were many tables still having dirty plates / glasses . So the staff should of collected. Gents Toilet not very clean . Although have been before five years ago , was smarter and very busy ! The outside paintwork was needing a paint up . Such a lovely area .

This pub is in a great setting and has views from most seats. There is outside seating as well. We had to wait a very long time for our drinks, there was drinks ready but no one bringing them over. Some customers gave up and collected them themselves. Then the food took even longer, we must have been there an hour by then. It was just very average food, nice enough but not as hot as should be and the prices reflect the setting, not the food quality. The young lady was quiet and we felt sorry for her because she clearly had far too many customers to serve and had to deal with people moaning and returning cold food. We probably wouldn't go there again.

Another great Sunday roast. We came with our 2 small dogs and had a great meal. The staff it’s very friendly, Jen today looked after us. The pudding was delicious too. Definitely recommend.

One hour waiting time for an apple crumble is not acceptable. Even after we asked them about our order, it took them 15 minutes until we finally got our food...

This was last minute for us we phoned ahead asked if we can park in carpark if we eat and drunk with our dogs as we travelling coast line ..not problem food was excellent service was excellent ..plenty of food ..all.fresh xx what a lovelly place

The food was tasty and a bit little, but expensive. But the ambience made up for it. Self-service at tables where no reservations were made.

Iconic venue. Get a window table to enjoy the view across the Seven Sisters or sit outside weather permitting. Good choice of food and drink, friendly staff.

Lovely pub in a great location. If you can grab a spot by a window you can get a great sunset view! Staff are very helpful and friendly

When we visit England, we always stop at the Seven Sisters cliffs and enjoy the good food and the incomparable view, as well as the beautiful ambience in the Beachy Head restaurant. For my husband, it was the best meal in England. We were even allowed to stay overnight with our camper to try out the good beer selection. A particularly magical place for us. The perfect pub! Our first choice whenever we are visiting family. Never had a bad meal there, good choice of drinks, welcoming and helpful staff and the perfect venue to finish a walk along the cliffs

I totally love this place! Beautiful views from our table, great food with friendly service. They were able to accommodate a reasonably large group of us at short notice for lunch. Would definitely recommend, I imagine it would be a great venue for a cosy evening meal in the winter when the fires are lit.

We went to the Beachy Head last week while visiting friends in Eastbourne. So impressed with everything about the pub/restaurant. All four if us enjoyed our meal, with the service being amongst the very best i've experienced. Sorry i didn't get names, but every member of staff we dealt with was so polite and professional, which isn't always the case at some restaurantswe've vusited recently. I'm still blown away by the cauliflower cheese! Thank you Guys

Didn't eat at Beachy Head but visited the Heritage centre, which was very interesting.

Friendly staff especially Maria. A good choice of food. I was sent a code for a free bottle of Prosecco for my birthday very nice. Maria took us to a window seat where we watched a beautiful sunset. We finished the evening with some very well made cocktails. Would recommend.

What a lovely find! We had the most wonderful Sunday lunch, highly recommend. Staff were so kind, lovely and the man behind the bar was very knowledgeable on the wine list - all in all such a great experience,

Food was absolutely delicious - compliments to the chefs and the atmosphere was very busy and buzzy! We had a young server called Sophia who was absolutely incredible and easily catered to my family’s food diets x

Food was amazing, very fresh, however the service was slow, we waited 50 minutes for maines and 30 minutes for desserts and the place was not even busy. Our first server lady was nice, but the second lady was lame, my partner got his coffee without teaspoon and sugar, she basically just tossed the cutlery in the middle of the table instead of professionally place it by each guest's plate. If I was the owner I would put more effort in training my staff.

Our group had a lovely meal on a Saturday evening watching the sunset over the cliffs. The restaurant had a lovely atmosphere and the location is beautiful. The food was excellent and so was the service. We have two vegans in our group and both were very satisfied with the options- especially the vegan crumble!

A wonderful evening, we were welcome and allowed to park our camper van with great ease. Olivia was so kind and thoughtful, Annette was so helpful too! A very lovely pub and wholesome feeling! With an INCREDIBLE view.

Have visited before & all been good but today a little disappointed. Had to wait several minutes to get drinks from bar when we were the only ones waiting. Sat outside as a beautiful day & decided to have a light lunch. After ordering, around 40 minutes later still no food. Went to enquire & told would be to us shortly. When it arrived, one dish was incorrect. Had an apology & it was sorted within a few minutes. Food was ok but the fries with the steak sandwich were only luke warm. Seemed to be lack of staff. One poor guy served at bar, made coffees & was serving food too.

Great location. Yummy food, great service! Special thanks to the younger manager Ciaran for sorting out a great table with a view for us.

This is a tourist trap. This pub is in a really nice picturesque area, it's the only place for miles. We walked in and waited to be seated, it wasn't too busy, waited 5 mins and then decided to just take a seat as no one had seen us. Staff member was very rude in moving us to another table. Ordered food, took quite a while to come, and it was just a few sides. Most of the food was so bland. The chips were about the only thing that was edible. Had to send the soup back as it was bland and had an unappealing skin on top. I wouldn't recommend this place for anything more than an overpriced pint with a fantastic view.

Waiting over 10 mins to be sat despite reservation and it being a weekday with hardly any customers. Drinks took at least 30 mins and ended up collecting from the bar ourselves. Food then took another 45 mins and only came when we complained. Food was overcooked and overpriced. Flies buzzing around everywhere and tables were sticky. Table staff are terrible

Great place to visit especially for views!

Came here for Sunday carvery. Wasn’t a very warm greet at the front. They unfortunately ran out of beef so went for the lamb. The cauliflower cheese was literally just melted cheese on top and came out late when we had nearly finished our meal. Food overall was tasty and good portions.

A pleasant day weather-wise and an exceptional view. Mum fancied a ride out so we headed here for a treat. Having mobility issues myself was nice to see disabled parking was as close to the main door as possible. Then i Basically given 2 bar menus on arrival told to sit in bar area then order at the bar. Which was quite difficult for myself as I walk with a cane and mum is 83 years young! Ordered a sharer starter of cambert with crusty bread. This was nice enough although I feel was pricey for what it actually was. Our coffees arrived with this, which we were looking forward too after a quite a drive. The coffees were cold, I asked the person to take them away when he came to clear our starter plate. He did kindly offer to replace them granted. I declined and said we would have hot tea instead. Then the mains arrived we both fancied the chicken with avocado salad. This was served and quite frankly was awful. Best part was it didn't arrive with the avocado. We had to show the server and he went and got 2 dishes of rough chopped avocado which was obviously pass it prime. This also seemed overpriced for what it was or wasn't as the case maybe. We Basically ate 3 or 4 mouthfuls then left the restrant to go and have a meal elsewhere. Total cost of the disappointing meal around £55. Restaurant seemed under staffed and the restroom facilities were shocking. Toilet paper everywhere and no soap in the dispensers. As I say view was amazing, but this was not for us and I personally wouldn't recommend to anyone, which for me is a first as there are understandably good and bad points in all places and I am usually pretty just with reviews.

Been here numerous times since moving to Easrbourne, it's a lovely, spacious pub with amazing views over Beachy Head and down towards the sea. Have eaten a main meal here twice, plus a couple of bar snacks with drinks, and all have been great. The pies are especially yummy, along with the Sunday roast. It's very popular and often booked out, so if it's an occasion, phone ahead. Would highly recommend this place and will be returning many times.

Terrible experience. Manager super rude. Waited over 1 hour 20 minutes for an average burger and wasnt even offered a coffee in compensation. Total shame as the views from the restaurant are very good. Next time just take a picnic ans have it at the car park.

Nice Sunday lunch. Opted for the pie rather than a full roast and it was tasty and not skimpy with the meat. Great starters of ample portion - only complaint was the mash which was a bit tasteless. Didn’t have dessert but had a few mocktails and they were good. Fabulous views, but feels a bit tired and so I docked a star for atmosphere. That said, it’s not trying to be a posh pub and its prices are fair by todays standards.

We had a lovely meal here at the Beachy Head pub. Jan served us and we felt so well taken care of, there was no rush at all and the food was delicious. We had the lamb roast, huge portion of meat and vegetables, fantastic food and service!

Lovely atmosphere, the waitress was incredible. Lost the card that had her name on. But she was highly professional, kind and considerate. Drinks took ages to be served, they messed up the first drink that i ordered for my wife just to be remade which wasted time. Food was too pricey for what it was, views astronomical. Well worth a visit but wouldn't want to come back.

It's probably one of the highest vintage inns in the country! The staff gave us a lovely welcome, even though we hadn't booked. Our meal of calamari, rib eye steak, lamb steak, coffees, and mini crumble and custard were all served pipping hot and without delay. I can recommend the lamb, which was tender. Hailie was our waitress, and she was polite and attentive.

This restaurant is in a brilliant location. We popped in for a touristy day and a walk atoms Beachy Head and the cliffs. The ordering online worked well. However, right from the getgo, we felt that the service staff were under pressure and that there were not enough staff to take care of the patrons. It's a big restaurant that doesn't do itself justice by not having enough service staff on duty. The staff didn't do anything wrong as such, but the service was slow due to the busyness, and staff battled to keep up with demand. The food was good. The cold beverages were cold, but the hot chocolate was also cold, unfortunately. Getting it reheated meant we only got it back after everyone else had already finished eating. It's a great spot. Don't get me wrong. But with staffing as it stands is not a 4 star plus spot. It's just okay. We'll try them again in the hope that things improve.

Very busy pub on Beachy Head but then bound to be as its on tourist spot...when over busy they have a queueing system and it's fine..except when people think they can help themselves to a free table and jump the queue...but then as they're not booked in they don't get served food as the tables not booked in.....lesson learned.....be patient and wait...food was very good and wonderful views if you get window seat. ..

The service was shocking. I went to find our drinks in the end and they were on the bar along with loads of others waiting to be taken to tables. Food was ok. Location great and parking for customers.

The food is really good and the pub has a great atmosphere but during busy times like summer weekends it's very very busy and difficult to get a table and the staff are very busy. Overall though had a great time and managed to get squeezed in having lunch for 5 people at 3pm on a Saturday.

I would recommend not coming here on a Saturday lunchtime. I booked a table at 2pm and we were there nearly 2 hours for 2 starters and 3 mains. Far too slow and very average when it comes. The burger and fries had to go back as it was cold. Overpriced and slow service but they don't care as the majority of diners are tourists.

I can’t comment on the food cause my order didn’t come. There was five of us and only four of us got food. Chased it up and they said it was coming, went up again as my friends had finished so cancelled it and told them why. They just said sorry with no effort to offer anything else. In the end I asked for some crisps, so not impressed.

It was like the typical lodge at a skiing resort, bustling with people coming off from the hills full of energy (or spent) from the hills nearby- but without the snow! (I was there in August). The place is large and offers seating area outside (picnic tables) - if it isn't too windy, on the sunny side - so, lovely; or, inside, in the, yes, quaint, interior that is a mix between a pub & restaurant. Be aware there are reserved tables, so ask before you sit down. The views from inside are breathtaking and the ambiance is lovely. The hot chocolate was just perfect which perhaps was a better choice over the Spanish red wine (they didn't have) I had first thought of.(They had plenty of other reds, just not from Spain). All in all a wonderful experience - if you can find the entrance door! 😂

We ordered by phone but after about half an hour wondered whether the order had been received. Went in and were told they were short staffed and it was waiting for us but there was no one to bring it out. We brought the drinks out ourselves but by then the tea was cold. We waited another half hour for the food but even then only some of it came.

We came here for a drink after work and as always it's a lovely place with quite epic views

Staff friendly. Food arrived after 45 mins and cold. Under staffing creates a very poor experience.

Unfortunately we didn't have a great experience here recently. We were assigned to a table but there was a strong smell of chemicals and toilets in that part of the pub. When we asked to change tables, the manager wasn't very friendly. The food took a while to arrive, and the service wasn't great. This pub is in a great location, but didn't live up to our expectations on this visit.

We had a lovely meal , with great views, we were served by (Lilly) who was very friendly and served us with a smile nothing was a problem for her , a lovely evening.
