came here for lunch first time visit staff are really friendly and the food is fantastic and great music in the background as well

Love the atmosphere here food is fab and staff can’t do enough for you will be returning again soon the prices are as good as the service as well

Lovely spacious pub, with separate bar area to the restaurant. Love the raised area with the pool table. The restaurant itself is rather cosy with lots of cubby type tables and bigger ones available for the larger parties. Staff work hard and are always polite

Was great for breakfast but lately, miserable staff, not doing breakfasts till 11 when they please, told changed opening hours from 9 to 10 with no notices up, loyalty card removed. Has gone down hill rapidly.

I came here for a couple of drinks and had a lovely time, Sara the supervisor went out of her way to come and talk to me. Daisy behind the bar is always so lovely and welcoming. A member of staff with long hair believe his name was jack but not sure, , seemed to not be doing much at all daisy was running around and i belive sara had finished at this point but still helped out, all aroujd good team work . But other than am amazing time was had!

Have been frequenting this pub on a weekly basis, dining for lunch with a friend. Firstly I would like to give my view on the food. Since the new menus, the food has been okay, hot and has been coming out f kitchen quite fast. Has been consistent over the past few months. This is a good thing as was not the case before the new menus. I would however like to address the cleanliness on the venue. Inside is acceptable, staff look clean and tidy and are on most parts polite. However, the outside is a different story all together. It’s disgusting, filthy and would not want my dog to eat out there let alone a family wanting to sit in the sunshine to eat. They have had some work done this year, making the seating are at the back by the canal better, I say better, it looks better from a far but is as unclean as the rest of the outside close up. There is a huge problem with the garden, that could be a simple fix. CLEAN UP THE RUBBISH, EMPTY THE OVERFLOWING ASHTRAYS, PICK UP THE DIRTY FAG BUTS, EMPTY THE BINS. I’ve seen the same rubbish and fat buts unmoved lying on the floor for months. Making outside look like a filthy place, no family could enjoy the new area or any part of the outside, front or back and enjoy a meal. It’s filthy! Come on management, this is a simple cleanliness issue only. You have decent food, very cheap, can see many a family’s taking advantage of the cheap deals you do on the menus. But clean up! Make it somewhere nice for the summer months. Insteasd of overflowing ash trays, fag buts on the floor and trash on show all over the sight, have a clean up, have some pride in the outside and you may find more people would want to come enjoy the venue and all the good things it has to offer! Nothing like a good been garden for a cold pint on a hot day, it has the potential, but would not recommend it in the state the outsides in at the moment. 1 star for cheap food, but would have been much higher if you could just clean the place up outside!

Disaster of a place. Filthy, understaffed and poor service. The breakfast was both cold and burnt. An impressive feat considering it took over an hour to come out. Got a refund but no apology!

Great place to watch the euros loads of screens everywhere including the garden drinks prices are very reasonable and food was fab

I won’t be going back The service is not service when you are paying good money. The food was not only waited for 45 minutes but came cold . No milk for coffee, no food when ordered and no glasses for the drink you otder It may be cheap but it’s our money

Excellent meal. All hot and fresh. We had fish and chips 2 meals for £11. Cannot fault it. The service was great, served by Laura and she is certainly a credit to Giffard Park. She made our lunch a pleasure with her caring.

Terrible experience. Ordered chicken nuggets for my son and it took nearly an hour too turn up. When I enquired at the bar (which was vacant of any staff whatsoever) I was told that they would look into it. I wasn’t offered any kind of apology at all at this point. There was no communication between staff and me afterwards either. When the food did turn up no apology was offered either. Disgraceful service.

Cheap to eat for a lunchtime snack. Not enough staff but was served by a friendly bar staff (Sam) who appeared to be running around doing everything!

Absolutely shocking, we went for a family meal this evening, 2 out of the 5 meals were awful, raw chicken breast on one of them and part raw gammon on the other (that they forgot to put on the plate when they brought the meals out, then gave it to us on a separate plate, when they realised) the chairs were filthy too! This is not the first time we’ve had issues here, the last time my son had a long hair in his dinner! I can honestly say I will never go back there again, it ruined our family meal out, i would not recommend going there.

Fantasic venue for watching sport , loads of screens. Good selection of beers , reasonably priced. The hospitality is superb, I enjoyed the full English ( with unlimited toast … what an offer !!!) Thank you Management and Staff at the Giffard , why bother with Raymond Blanc … get down the Giffard !!!!

We popped in for lunch yesterday. I had the BLT wrap and my husband had the chicken wrap. They were both really tasty. Big shout out for Laura who served us. She was really friendly and had a big smile on her face. We have often visited for dinner but will definitely come back for lunch in the future.

I was genuinely excited to eat here but after being I was embarrassed and really upset about our food. .ordered lasagne and the garlic bread was char grilled and I mean char grilled the lasagne was black on the edges and the hallumi as tough as old boots ...the chips were fine and not a sight of a piece of lettuce or tomatoe just to add a little colour I absolutely hats leaving bad reviews but I used a voucher and brought some Friends my idea which I'm still embarrassed about days later!! I hope it improves as the menu is definitely value for money if cooked correctly...thank you

We come here so often, food is nearly always brilliant - always very reasonable. Always great service and food comes very quickly.

The weather may be cold outside, but the Giffard Park was warm and welcoming, all the staff very friendly and helpful. We had the Sizzling platters which lived up to their name and were very tasty. There is a lovely atmosphere here, the food is great, the drinks are great, prices are very reasonable - what's not to like? Thank you for a lovely Afternoon.

I happened to find this pub after dropping my car off for a replacement windscreen and was stuck in MK for 4 hours. The staff were so accommodating, friendly and welcoming, a real asset to the pub. The veggie sausage breakfast bap is the best veggie bap I’ve ever had and the tea and coffee was unlimited. I also stayed for lunch, the chicken strips and sweet potato fries were very tasty.

Lovely time and great food. Staff were very friendly, especially Alicia, who went out of her way to make our visit more accomadating.

What a great team of ladies the food is great too.we had done snacks bits, great nachos. I'm so happy that the Christmas songs aren't being played yet..& the heating was on, so lovely and cosy. Wish you had jacket potatoes on still 🥔 .

Lovely meals enjoyed by all but take a coat don't think the heating is working as good as it should, everyone had their coats on eating their meals. Asked waitress if heating was on and she said yes?

What a lovely pub this is! Excellent food ( I had the loaded surf and turf) excellent staff (served by the lovely Daisy who was able to answer all of our questions) and lovely atmosphere. All areas were kept very clean (including the toilet) which is a must for me and the whole experience of visiting the Gifford very lovely. Definitely recommend!

Nice place, warm in cold weather, lovely location right next to the canal, good selection of food, great prices, nice selection of drinks, only reason it's a 4 and not a 5 is because the steak I ordered came out under cooked, it has a lovely outside seating area, and the decor is quite standard for this type of pub, very homely, wooden furniture with several more comfortable options dotted around. It has a car park if you need it, it does not however do a Sunday roast any more as we discovered 😕 but overall good, will be back 😊

Staff are extremely miserable, have no interest in their jobs and all seem bored shitless counting down the hours until they can leave. The food is disgustingly basic and just seems so carelessly tossed onto the plates. I can’t believe people actually go here, its so busy and it clearly impacts the staffs attitude.
