Went yesterday as it was Mothers Day. Tried somewhere else and they had a 50 minute wait for food. We decided to go to Carats cafe as had been before and always had a decent meal. There was hardly any wait although they were busy , the staff were so friendly and as a bonus, all Mums received a free big bar of chocolate. Well done Carats Cafe.

We heard the shop was well worth a visit so we went and found there was a cafe too. The shop is stocked an very impressive range of quality fresh & local produce. The cafe setting is without doubt attractive, spacious and clean however the menu choice were underwelming and didn't correspond to the shop I mean, eg ham and chips? There was just two veggie opitions and one was off the menu. When our food arrived we jumped, as the plates were almost thrown down in front of us, not checking who ordered what. How rude! One meal was simple and quite good, the other was disppointng. Frozen chips & stale slices of bread? Such a hame the cafe doesn't correspond with what the shop offers. We'd suggest buy from the shop and take it home.

There’s a very strong meat smell when you walk in. Very off putting. Toilet didn’t work so that was embarrassing, quite cold, coffee poor to moderate , really needs more warmth, no smells and approachable staff, I felt like a stranger except for 1 lady who was lovely and the only reason I stayed because of her. It was pretty cold so I wasn’t in the best of spirits. I felt nice when I left so it’s not a bad experience- it’s that sharp meaty smell that threw me (I’m vegetarian). I used to live in Stockbridge and was brought up in marsh court next to the infamous and gorgeous river test and live at Langtry house (was called Hermit Lodge) on the brought on road

Absolutely disappointed as I looked on the website for disabled facilities, it states disabled accessibility in pub and disabled accessibility toilet. We got here and there was a step at the front door, making it impossible to get over the threshold, mu husband had to lift my chair in with me in it! The tables are not tall enough for me to sit under in the chair and the toilets were not big enough for a disabled person or a wheelchair , neither were the door ways wide enough. Making it dangerous for me to transfer from wheelchair to toilet. Totally unacceptable. Loved the food and the bar maid but not fair about the rest. Please make some changes.

we had arranged to meet yesterday,Mothers'Day,for breakfast. My Wife and I had travelled from Maidenhead and my Son and his family from Yatton,Somerset. It transpired they had no eggs! and therefore we were given extra bacon, sausage etc as requested. However,as well as having no eggs the whole experience was a shambles. The staff appeared disinterested and we waited some 10 - 15 minutes after the Breakfast arrived for cutlery, despite asking for it a couple of times,by which time the food was cold! You'd assume in any event someone would have the "brains" to go to a shop and buy eggs particularly as it was a special day.My Son,who paid the bill, must have regretted suggesting THIS place for a meet up.....we WON'T be returning!!!

We came for Sunday lunch with friends and a baby. The staff were fantastic, and nothing was too much trouble. The roast dinner was to die for! Fresh, properly home made, and large portions! The new owners are doing a brilliant job, and it’s lovely that chef came to see how we were and to help my veggie friend with any questions. We can’t wait to visit again soon!

Such a pleasant place to grab a bit of refreshment after a bright breezy roam vieiwing the amazing scenery. The place was clean, bright and imaginatively decorated. The queue system for service was clear and the servers were friendly and helpful. It may have been just a brief stop for a cup of tea but we left feeling refreshed and smiling.

I have been visiting for the past 28 or so years - lovely quaint tearoom - decor not changed at all but this is the way I like it - lovely private garden - I always have the brown fruit scones which are lovely and their welsh rarebit is really tasty - yes its expensive but worth it - no nasties in the food!
