The best restaurants serving British food in South East

Didn’t try the food. But wouldn’t want to sit in there and eat with how messy the tablets were. There were at least 5 members of staff or more, Wasn’t busy but seems like staff were just rushed and panicked. Ordered at the till and waiting 10 minutes for our drinks just for them to be wrong. Ordered 3 large drinks. Didn’t take responsibility for putting the drinks through wrong. No apology. Just said well I put them through as regular. Wouldn’t go again, this ain’t the first time my order had been messed up.

Found the manageress less than child friendly and often quite rude. It's a shame because otherwise it would be nice.

Only had a drink. Very friendly wish we lived nearer.

This place was rocking a few Satuday lunchtimes ago. Locals obviously love this place. Friendly staff too

Can't believe I've not been here sooner... from the outside you may not be drawn in but the stories of its greatness are filtering across the city. £3 a pint for some good hand pull ales. A fine selection of hot dogs, beautifully prepared and brimming with taste and all for a super value price. Nice surroundings, great music, chatty bar staff, live bluegrass on Monday evenings. What's not to like...?! You must try this place, it deserves to be busier that's all that let's it down.

Hi all, I went for a drink in Eastbourne Witherspoons with 6 friends tonight before a curry night we had planed. We had 4 rounds and that was ok but the service was a little slow then. After curry all 6 of us went back to Wetherspoons hoping to have a good few more rounds, but the bar staff by that time was a shambles. We waited 20 min or more and after when the barman just served the pretty girls who just turned up after us, we all left to drink else where. Shame as would of spent quiet a bit of money. I think your head office needs to sort things out they are loosing money and custom. Well to be fair I don't blame the young barmen serving the pretty girls 1st, but the waiting time does need serious addressing as I will think twice now going back their with my friends. Tattoo barestaff asked me to leave after my food due to me taking some of my ecig.. understand couple of warning but after I order food. Blocking tab straight away. Obvious intentions. Disgusting and want be returning.

Great grub nice pub but toilets were a bit filthy today full of chavvy looking people and families, which is off putting

The main wetherspoons in MK (three is another one at XScape). Really conveniently situated in the main business area so a few mins walk from most offices. Because of this it can get busier after people finish work for the day. Food and drink is your normal wetherspoons offering. Cheap and cheerful and you know what you're getting. About 5 mins walk from the train station. Also has some outside seating.

Saturday's: full of meatheads, slappers and idiots. Cheap beer though.

Came to this pub after a pub quiz loss, however Harry the bartender and Chandler the supervisor were extremely friendly, and very accomodating to my group. All round fantastic experience, facilitated by Harry and Chancler, 5/5 will reccomend

A friend and I booked for 1200 on a Sunday. As soon as we arrived, there was a sign on the front door "No Sunday Lunches", which was a huge disappointment. I had looked at the extensive menu online prior to arriving there, and I had another option in mind. The chicken and Ribs. We arrived and were taken to our table. There were only 3 other parties sitted down, which I thought was a bit strange, as this establishment was usually packed out on a Sunday. We were handed a limited menu with the standard pub grub items. No grill items, no Chicken or burger items either. No chicken and ribs. My friend and I decided to go elsewhere. The cleanliness of the pub is shocking. The carpets looked like they haven’t been hoovered and cob webs on pictures. Since Marstens have taken over from Brains, it has severely gone down hill.

Great food, simply well cooked. Nice portion and hot. Well priced. Great coffee Good service Comfortable surroundings

Good stop for lunch with MIL. Excellent fish pie and ice cream Came back for Sunday Lunch. Being Veggie I usually lose out However this was the best Nut Roast I have had in a pub😎 Meg looked after us really well and was excellent. Will be back on Thursday for another lunch.
