Needed a quick pitstop before catching a bus. Gents toilets not in a good state. Tables everywhere left uncleared. Drinks came quickly but food was slow and half cold. Trying not to be harsh but it wasn't exactly busy and there seemed to be plenty of staff.

If you are looking for a reasonably priced pub in Oxford (something truly rare here), this is the place to go. I liked the vibe here. Very lively and happening! Good location on George Street. Very easily accessible. It's quite a big place. Two-storeyed. And also has a few tables outdoors.

Good food, rather cheap (except for the cheese fries). But dirty toilets were a letdown.... 🤢 And every few minutes very loud bangs from waitresses/waiters that throw cutlery or glasses in the dishwash bin.... 🙉

Pleasant and drinks supprisingly cheap. Only a couple of minutes walk from historic center of Oxford. The bus station is just meters from the main door. The unique 'Psrk and Ride' bus service can be caught at stops located almost immediately outside the pub's main entrance, each side of the of George Street.

I've been to many Wetherspoons restaurants across the country. On the face of it, it should be a pleasant experience, but it lacked atmosphere and the normally very pleasant Wetherspoons service we are used to was not present, for us at least. It's also a good couple of quid more expensive per meal for the sheer fact that it was in Oxford. The food itself was as good as expected however.

First stop upon walking into Oxford from our accommodation and figured you can't go wrong with a Wetherspoons - wrong. Ordered 2 drinks and a garlic bread on the app. Food arrived promptly and was very tasty - this is what the 2 points are for. With nobody at the bar for large periods of time, after 15mins I went to ask about our drinks (2 canned Espresso Martinis) and was advised the manager had gone upstairs to see if they had any. Said manager appeared a few mins later to tell us there was only 1 available and would we like an alternative. The 1 EM arrived along with the alternative pint and it was a very sad looking drink - no frothy head at all. Refunded 36p which I can not figure out at all! Go to the other Wetherspoons across town.

Great Wetherspoons and tends to be the quieter one in Oxford but appears to be lacking investment for that reason. Staff are very friendly and the service is very prompt. Beer is well kept and food was of typical Wetherspoons standard.

You’ll be served toast (gluten) with a freedom breakfast (gluten free) which states no gluten on it’s allergy board, weird add on and really not coeliac friendly. Staff definitely need to be educated and not offer gluten vegan/vegetarian options as gluten free when they are definitely not. Pointing to the allergy board should never be the extent of someone’s knowledge when they are working with food. Really disappointed but not really shocked as gluten free is appalling when out and about especially as people view it as a fad diet.

Stopped by for my regular stop off in Wetherspoons while I was travelling home. I was a bit earlier than usual so ordered a full English breakfast, it turned up cold, sent it back and second one was cold too. Just ate it as I had a long day ahead of me and was hungry. Complained to the staff after, no real apology. Complained to one of the managers who said she'd have a word with the kitchen. I sat back down for about 45 minutes before I left. I thought someone might pop over with a proper apology or some explanation but nothing more was said. My son was a pub manager and I know he would have been mortified that a customer was unhappy and would have been straight over with an explanation or apology. Very poor customer service. Will not be returning.

Worst breakfast I've ever had in my life. Obviously yesterdays "reheated" junk. Warmish bread - toast. Ice cold plates. The "mushroom" had obviously been reheated a dozen times. Sausages, again been reheated for a few weeks. The bacon was from the neolithic period. And the beans /eggs were from another planet. This place will kill somebody with their lax food safety. Avoid - eat some gum from the pavement, it's safer.

Markedly more expensive than The Exchange Banbury but still good value. £2.49 for a pint of real ale. Hygiene and segregation? We were initially placed into an section where ethnic minorities were the main demographic I asked to sit in the warmer brighter section of the restaurant Where there was plenty of space I saw one of the staff who is a team member pulling the hair of one of his colleagues twisting it around his finger and patting her bun. Our order was then ready and he immediately reached for the plates of food without washing his hands and I had to stop him. went to wash his hands but it was too late. I lost my confidence in the hygiene standards of the restaurant. The manager said that he would speak with the staff. Hopefully the team will learn better lessons. Apparently, hairnets are not required so please look out for hair your food if you go and ensure that they wash their hands!!

We were very disappointed by our visit. The menu looked fabulous but they were out of pretty much everything - and what they did have was sub standard. I am certain the ingredients for the “ploughman’s lunch” was from the supermarket (not a crime but definitely not worth £15). The chef was sitting out the front most of the time which highlighted that they were very low on food in the kitchen. The only plus was the beer was very good. We will not be returning. Such a pity as the place has a lot of potential.
