Nando's in Oxford

The taste is as great as other Nandos. But I felt the chicken thighs are smaller when compared to other outlets.

Chips is unacceptable soggy and oily. Quality does not match with price would not recommended

I had heard lots about Nando, so I was very excited to try it. however, in all honesty, it was very disappointing. The flavors were pretty bland, and overall it was quite expensive for the portions we were given. It was nothing terrible, but would not recommend or want to come again.

First time Nando customer and maybe the last! Service was poor...food was sitting on the shelf for nearly 15mins before we asked about it. Same happened to customers before and after us. Plus the Saka sauce is dreadful.

Saw a guy taking big drugs in the car park opposite. Nando's, however, provided addictive chicken and chips, but appears to be part of an at least local (UK wide?) conspiracy to eradicate garlic bread. There was no garlic bread. Witnessing hard drug use did not spoil our overall experience dining at Nando's although it did, and still does to some degree, work as an opener and/or closer to a review. Cyclists get in the way everywhere it seems but not around this particular Nando's.

This is the second time this nandos branch is closed and it’s advertised as open. Both instances no update on the door to let customers know.

Had a baffling experience at this branch. It doesn't really feel like a Nando's, more like a badly managed independent restaurant with logistics problems. I can't tell if they're being let down by head office, or if the manager and staff here don't know what they are doing. There's a massive queue to be seated, the staff seem really tense and get quite snappy and passive aggressive with you, the atmosphere is quite uptight. Nando's is 9/10 times a self-seating and laid back place so it just stands out like a sore thumb from other branches. Needs a team away day and rethink.

Had to wait 40mins for have a chicken when it was only 5pm. Worse is that the staffs just ignore u when u ask ING the take away was ready or not they tell don’t know when it will be ready

Cannot express how professional the staff were during my visit last weekend. Everything was spot on, timeless and perfect.

Great food. Friendly staff. The only recommendation I would give is the welcome staff's communication wasn't fully clear and we were sitted quite later than it's expected and we missed 10 minutes of our event we were going to attend. Food was delicious and as we ordered.

Revisited this Nando's after 14 years! The food is still just as delicious, the service just as warm, and the interiors just as fresh, as my nostalgia serves me!

Never in my life have I seen so many ready plates remain under a heat lamp while the staff stand idly in front of them.

Chicken was completely overcooked—some parts had already turned black and inedible. Service wasn’t good either, maybe there were too many people that night, but I still definitely won’t come back again.

Ignorant staff, insist that it’s busy and can’t take order, force me to use the very difficult scan code and manually put in card details. Take more than half an hour for a easy chicken order

They were slow to serve my friends. The waiter seemed to have forgotten about our order. However, they have a good sitting space. Their food does taste good.

It's a really nice restaurant with friendly staff. I love their chicken tights and the plethora of sauces to select from. There are vegetarian options as well in the menu.

Lively and busy. Nice experience - happy to try a popular British chain restaurant. Each person has a different opinion, so the best thing to do is give it at least a try and see for yourself :)

Absolutely rubbish service. We ordered through the Nando's app which is why I am leaving a review here. My colleagues and I ordered to our office on site at the college providing the delivery address and location too a tee, this was ignored and common sense was non existent. The delivery driver decided to call my colleague from a Leeds based number which looked exactly like a scam call, and when they didn't answer decided to mark the order as delivered and leave it outside the gates of a busy open campus public college. This was obviously stolen almost immediately. When the helpline was rung to ask about our delivery we were told there was nothing they could do, we should have picked up the phone and we were welcome to place another order. Perhaps your policy should be updated to include that you take no responsibility for the lack of common sense from your delivery drivers as that is apparently a severely needed amendment.

I went here on Saturday, Great food, Good service. Nice atmosphere. Parking is nearby and cheap. Quite busy on a Saturday, but staff try there best. 4/5

Was turned away at the door as they couldn't seat our party of four, as they only had tables of five, thus we needed another person. I know it's a business, but turning away customers for being short one person is mad. The guy we spoke to us was very rude, and frankly couldn't be bothered. He turned away three other groups for the same reason, leaving tables empty, just in case a party of 5 came in.

Must be one of the worst Nando’s in the country. Tiny kitchen that couldn’t cope. One table actually left without food which they’d paid for! We waited forever for two adults and two kids meals. No toilet paper in the toilets either which is a nightmare with kids. Shouldn’t really be a restaurant

Food was lovely as usual but they somehow got the orders mixed up and put the spicy sides on with the non spicy chicken! Service was ok, atmosphere was a bit flat for a Friday evening.

Nandos quality - food was to good standard, seated quickly and food was brought out quickly too. Don’t expect anything more or less.

Below average Nandos. Service doesn't really do much, you need to get your own cutlery and water and order on an app. Food is fairly pricey given that and the atmosphere in this particular one is pretty mediocre.

we had an idea in mind if what to order, two whole chickens with sides. but the lady said that it would be cheaper to get a full platter and whole chicken on its own. not to mention our food was served to the wrong table 😂 gotta love bad service yea? don't listen to these scammers, she just stole 6 pounds from us? thanks 🙄 in any case the full platters make sense at all. full platter 25.50 whole chicken with 4 regular sides. that's 17.20+3.75+3.75 oh look that's less than 25.50

Eating out when there are multiple food allergies can be tricky. However, the team at this Nando's branch were absolutely brilliant in accommodating our needs. The manager patiently went through the ingredients lists with us, and we were never made to feel like we were any trouble. I was very reassured to observe that he instructed his staff member to specially clean the grill before preparing our food. We enjoyed our meal and would recommend the place. Thank you to the team!

We were embarrassed for walking straight to sit on a free table, resulting in a lack of attendance from the restaurant staff. We queried the behaviour, and they stated that we were meant to stand by the door and wait for someone to direct us on where to sit down. However, there was no staff or any form of notice on the entrance advising that. After our 🍽, I requested for half family plater as takeaway, on getting home I found only one rice against the two I requested. This was precisely on the evening of 29.05.2023.

Okay experience - the service was good, food was a bit slow though. Unfortunately everything was very dry, especially the mash that had a dry film over it, so it was evidently just microwaved causing it to be chewy. The loaded fries were good, but the chicken was mostly dry.

Very bad experience! I paid the food order for 3 people, 47£, it was approved by my bank and the restaurant did not recognised. So they stole the money!! DON’T COME TO THIS PLACE, it’s a robbery. I’m thinking of going to the police tomorrow.

Was very very good to be here! Wanted to avoid the rush of Westgate on a weekend. Here was quiet on Sunday at 1/2pm. Service was great and generally cannot fault it! Excellent service too! Would have liked for there to be plates out near the cutlery but maybe Nando’s have identified that it’s causing extra dishes to be washed!

Very rare we get a bad experience at Nando's but this time we waited for 40 minutes while everyone else was served their food and even finished eating. The manager couldn't really be straight with us about what went wrong.

Quickly seated, ordered on the app, food didn't take long chicken on the platter was juicy and fresh, wings on wing roulette were over done and some burnt.

An exceptional representative of the art form, the Nandos at Oxford is a shockingly classy establishment with the delicious food one comes to expect from Nandos.

As we have been sitting here for the past 10 min, no one casts eyes on us. It is about an hour before the official closing time and we have been brutally ignored. If they want an early night out due to the bank holiday at least they can inform us about the actual closing time instead of keeping us hanging.

Decent with a very specific theme (spicy.) Everything we ate was tasty and the staff were polite.

Though not particularly busy when we visited, the service was reasonably slow. All staff were very friendly and helpful, however it was over 20 minutes after ordering before drinks glasses were delivered to the table and another 15 minutes for food. There were only 2 of us ordering. As always the food was good, hot and tasty. Not the most atmospheric Nando's but it was clean and well appointed. Wouldn't go out of my way to visit, but if I was in the area would happily stop in.

Always a great place to have a meal. The food is always fresh and tasty, they also have quite the fast service. The place is strategically placed near the Oxford train station (between the ststion and the city centre). So if you come from outside of Oxford, it's just a 5-10 minutes walk from the station

First course was fairly good, came quickly and was very tasty if a little dry. However we ordered desert and were waiting for 23 minutes before we asked if they could follow up on our order. They came out with our food in a few minutes it was just a slice of cheese cake and some ice cream that as it turns out came in a little plastic container like the stuff you got at primary school so evidently they just forgot about it, they also clearly assumed we would use our hands because no cutlery was provided we had to ask for that as-well and it to top it all of...... I didn't order the cheesecake.

Think I've already reviewed this but ye. It has wheelchair access at the back. You have to phone up on advance. Two of us went with wheelchairs. The eating area will feel a little cramped depending on what type of chair you use. The food is served very fast and I would say the place is run efficiently. The noise would usually make me say it's not autistic friendly but there are other aspects which make it so.

The food was great, as per any other Nandos. It was a cold evening went we eat and were sat next to the windows at the front of the restaurant. It was a little chilly and not very comfortable, but whenever the door opened, a cild blast of air came across us, making for a not very pleasant evening.

I won’t be going here again. Came here for date night with my boyfriend. We ordered our food via the app and was a lot faster than the people sitting on the tables next to us. My boyfriend and I ordered the same thing but was waiting around 40 minutes for our food that arrived cold. Everyone around us was served their food first, even a couple who came in around 15-20 minutes after us. The food tasted good but as soon as I left the restaurant my stomach instantly started to hurt. The drive home was horrendous as I was clutching my stomach most of the way. I’ve been in the bathroom since. Not impressed at all.
