The John Russell Fox in Test Valley

We went home with our clothes smelling of cigarettes- I had to wash everything when I got home. The fan in the bathroom was really noisy and sounded like a plane taking off. The only thing you could do was to take the door card out to cut it off. Not great if you woke up in the night. The bed was comfortable though and the TV a decent size. Natural lighting wasn’t great but there was a velux window. It was just the smell of cigarettes that really put me off.

No different from most locations. Service isn’t bad when not too busy but trying to get someone’s attention when busier is a mission.Use the app if you can.Difficult to get a pint delivered without it spilling on the table so quite often they are sticky.This location has managed to find some security staff that still drag their knuckles on the floor when walking so that is entertaining.Can’t knock the quality of the drink and the prices but can’t bring myself to eat the food.

It was our first stay at a ‘Spoons’ hotel and with a price of under £120 for 3 nights over a bank holiday weekend, expectations were limited. But what a pleasant surprise we had. From the moment we checked in the staff were amazing and couldn’t have been more helpful. The room was a good size, absolutely immaculate and had everything we needed. With ironing facilities, biscuits and water included, the value for money just got better. Air conditioning was on full time as it was a really warm weekend, and although I was also concerned about noise as we were above a busy pub in a town centre, we didn’t hear a soul. In fact the only thing I could find that could be improved is the single ply loo roll!!! We usually stay at Premier Inn for a cheap short break, but will be looking for a local ‘Spoons’ if available from now on.

Having used this venue and stayed here before, just sent back pints of San Miguel, Stella and Fosters.Staff starting to think it’s me but a fellow drinker confirmed how bad the beer was.Hate feeling guilty for returning beer but why was three different beers so similarly poor?Not sure I’m going to eat or stay here again.

Hotel is fantastic, restaurant not good, but lots of local options. The rooms are comfortable and modern. I always stay here when work brings me to the area. Great spot and very cheap for the standard.

We have never stayed in a Wetherspoons hotel before but were pleasantly surprised! Lovely big room (family room) for a very good price. We ate our evening meal in the restaurant which was great (albeit full of Friday night young revellers but this was to be expected!). Great “extras” in the room tea/coffee/water. The only downside of the room was that we only had one very small ceiling height window (so it felt a bit like a large prison cell!!!) and there were lots of bits and bits of biscuits all over the carpet, it didn’t seem like a hoover had been used at all! All in all though a pleasant stay.

Gone downhill since last there meal was terrible mixed grill all me At was dry and some not edible the clientele need a care full eye on won't be going back in a hurry shame it used to be nice. The staff are all ok its just the food need a review

We stayed here so had dinner and breakfast here. We ordered dinner and drinks on the app. The food came after 20 minutes. We had finished our food and still didn't have our drinks which was a bit unpleasant sitting on the roof terrace in 30 degree heat!! The drinks were at least 30 minutes from ordering.Went for breakfast the following day.No mushrooms, no tomatoes, no bananas, the choice was very limited. Thankfully all half price though so 2 breakfasts and 2 large orange juices for just 6 pounds!

Went to The John Russell Fox for breakfast, it wasn't too busy and most people were eating and my food came out hot and was really nice. Service staff were happy and doing a great job. Thank you for a great visit

4 adults and a 2 year old for lunch. Good reasonable priced menu. All meals very tasty and severed quickly. Huge Weatherspoons with plenty seating.

We had breakfast plus daytime and evening drinks in the John Russell Fox. As frequent customers of Wetherspoon nationally we are used to their fair pricing and good range of drinks. We were not dissappointed. Breakfast was well cooked and plentiful and I found a couple of previously untried ales. Staff were hardworking but still cheerful.

Stayed here for 2 nights as we were visiting family in Tidworth. Loved it so much. Hotel was so beautiful and clean. Our room was very spacious with everything provided for us, even complimentary water. The staff were wonderful and kind. We had lovely meals in the bar and cheap. Andover is lovely and we would definately stay here again in the future.

Sat in Rus Fox Andover this afternoon & 3 tables with eight seats were unusable because of the amount of sick on the floor.This was reported to at least 2 of the girls from 2 pm who chose to ignore it, hoping it would get walked into the carpet by unsuspecting members of the public. About 4-30pm it was pointed out again to another young member of staff, who was not only shocked it had been ignored but, took it upon himself to pull tables out & clear the mess.Well done CHARLIE, you deserve a personal mention because it seems to me the other staff couldn't give a toss.Not one of the people if had been reported to came any where near again. Sad but true so pretty Disgusting for those girls. You know who you are so shame on you....

I popped in for a quick traditional breakfast before work. The morning staff were lovely, very polite and the service was good. The breakfast was warm rather than hot from being freshly cooked but then, what else do you expect? It was edible.

Booked a family room for Saturday seventh December to my delight the room was fantastic⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Walked into a king-size bed with a 50 inch TV on the wall a shower room with a Moonhead shower and a lovely bath the room was clean and adequate with tea and coffee on the dressing table side staff were amazing and helpful great value breakfast in the morning definitely definitely stay here Again so I’ve booked my 40th birthday in this pub

Went to have a nice social evening with my friends to be harassed by the waitress with red bobbed hair saying how exhausted and tired she is, this is your job! Not to mention the other day a women with long brown hair refusing to put ice in my drink with a huff and a puff and rolling of the eyes, especially when being asked politely! I work in the same industry so cant tolerate it. So rude why work in a customer based industry!!!

This is the third Wetherspoons Hotel I have stayed at in the last 12 months and it certainly provides an ideal and inexpensive overnight stay (especially on a Sunday). The room was very comfortable with a large bed and a massive TV. The walk-in shower had a large rainfall showerhead and the breakfast deals at all Wetherspoons pubs are great. Breakfast starts at 07.00! No parking but not too far from Andover Rail station and bus routes.Highly recommended for access to South Coast travel.Tony B

We have stayed at this Wetherspoons Hotel before and have always found the rooms good value for money. This hotel is relatively new so the rooms are modern and well laid out. Unfortunately the cleaning of the room had not been as thorough as other times with dust on surfaces and some bits on the carpet. However the main issue of our stay was very noisy neighbours who arrived back at their room as about 4.00am presumably drunk they had been shouting all the way down the corridor and continued to do so in their room. This hotel supposedly has a 24 hour reception. The receptionist must have been aware of the noise but took no action to address it. We had eaten downstairs the night before and the food on the whole had been OK. We did however have issues with drinks. Being a CAMRA member I know and like cask ales, I ordered a pint from a local brewery which I tasted and found was off. I returned to the bar and the barmaid was happy to exchange it for another beer. My concern however was that this beer remained on tap for the rest of the evening and presumably was being sold to others who may have not realised that it was off. My wife purchased a drink separately, this being a pint of Welsh Dragon cider which she has had many times before. Unfortunately this was also off but her experience at the bar was very different to mine. The barmaid insisted that it was a new polypin and that nobody else had complained she tried to tell my wife it was just a strong cider. My wife told her that she knew what it should taste like and after further discussion and the barmaid speaking to the manager it was replaced. I believe that the polypin also remained on sale for the rest of the evening. My review has been marked as average based on the hotels good value and our evening meal but is very borderline based on our other problems.

I found unusually this was the cheapest place to stay over the weekend. I could find no fault with the hotel accommodation or the hotel staff but the pub and food side was well below standard. Incompetent bar and door staff . Had to repeat a drinks order several times and they had no knowledge of CAMRA vouchers . Also the door staff seemed to let in underage drinkers by the truck load on a Saturday night .

You will not be disappointed with a stay here. We were blown away with our first stay at a JD Wetherspoon hotel. We were thinking cheap n cheerful £103 for 2 weekend nights....somewhere to lay our heads basically while visiting family in the area. How we underestimated it! I have stayed in 5* hotels not as nice as this. Nothing is skimped on.....furnishing, fittings and miscellaneous stuff like tea coffee shampoo etc. We literally did not find a single fault! Well done Wetherspoons I am probably one of your biggest fans now and can’t wait to visit other hotels

Popped in for a late lunch and was pleasantly surprised at how good the quality of the food was. We had fish & chips and it was lovely; very fresh and the best we've tasted in the area. Not a bad price either and of course you get the coffee refills for no extra charge. Good all round.

Come here as it is the best eat for the price with a drink in Andover. Not let me down yet, I have had various meals and will be trying the accommodation next.

stopped here for breakfast on a Friday morning after dropping someone off at the station the food was a little disappointing fried eggs were not available something shriveelled and brown probally mushrooms and cold bacon.Good food spoilt by bad cooking.

We stayed for one night at this pub/hotel the room was clean and the shower excellent. Had breakfast the next day here too.

Quiet , clean room. Pub food and drinks very affordable. Finding reception office was a bit difficult, but once located, staff very helpful

We found the trip here to be average, we used the whetherspoon app in which we received our drinks and food quickly where as in other whetherspoons it takes a considerably longer time, food was abit on the dry side and chips weren't fresh and hot, kids pizza was good, we also found tables to be sticky, would be better but cleanliness and food brings it down abit

I have been to The John Russell Fox several times, for lunch & for dinner.

We stayed overnight here before a wedding, wonderful clean room. Staff were very friendly and made us feel very welcome. Can’t wait to come back

Have used many Wetherspoon hotels but this one of the best for accommodation. The room was quite newly decorated and to a high standard. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The Wetherspoon breakfast was your typical fry up which was very tasty. We did have a problem with the temperature of the shower which was so hot it was unusable, and because it was late nothing could be done to resolve the problem, however next morning we received a reimbursement of the partial cost of our stay organized by a very efficient lady on reception which was fine. Will certainly stay again when next in the area.

... and a very positive one too.

On Tuesday evening we decided to go for dinner at the local wetherspoons, we utilised the app and ordered our food and drinks. The drinks promptly arrived, however aftet 45 minutes we notice two tables that arrived after us received their food. We ask the waiting staff and was told there is no recollection of our order and screens went down, however we had our receipt and had already received our drinks. After 1 hour 10 minutes we receive our food with numerous missing items. Upon complaining we were offered free deserts and we thought this one off bad experience was not a regular occurrence.

The hotel part of this Wetherspoons was great (see separate review) but the pub part not so much. I go to various Wetherspoon pubs a lot for the cheapness of both food and drink and never had a problem but this one was well below par. It was a large pub but just not enough staff to cope with how many customers it can hold. We went in 3 times over the weekend, 7pm on Friday night, midday Saturday (assumed that the night before was a one off bad service) and 10.30am Sunday (because we wanted breakfast & it was the easy option) and the service was so slow on all three occasions. Every time the bar looked quiet, maybe 4 or 5 other people waiting, but only one person behind the bar just concentrating on one end. Other staff would be behind the bar doing other jobs but ignoring waiting customers. Any staff that was serving just seemed to walk at snail pace and stop for a chat with their colleagues. I saw a lot of tables that hadn't been cleared of dirty plates, etc. On the Saturday afternoon I decided to order 2 drinks via the app, after waiting 10 minutes I mentioned to a passing (and also miserable) member of staff who went to check and informed me that the drinks were just being done, another 10 minutes later they still hadn't arrived so I had to get a refund. As I've said already, I like Wetherspoons pubs and in any town or city, it would be my first choice but I doubt I'd bother going to this one again (apart from to stay at the hotel).

Good value food and excellent beers at great prices. A fabulous business model only spoilt by sticking elbows. Staff do clear tables occasionally, but never seem to spray and wipe. Ah well, can’t have it all I suppose.

We were in a Hampshire for a family wedding & we only really needed a place to sleep & get ready. We found The John Russel Fox by chance & as we needed 3 rooms for 2 nights it was a good price but we weren’t really expecting much. However the rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. Even though the rooms were above a Wetherspoons pub they were quiet.

My partner and I visited here yesterday 1st July 2019. We decided to go to lunch and chose here. We hadn't been for about a few months, but we like it so decided to go back. The staff were courteous and helpful even when there was a problem with the stock in doing their best to accommodate my meal. The floor manager came out and she remembered me from us from the last time we had eaten there. She was polite and very helpful on the day. She even took the food over to our table then to tell us that the delivery had in fact just arrived about the same time as us and they managed to get what I requested.

Stayed over one night, great hotel room, huge space with a fab walk in shower and basically all you could wish for at a very reasonable price.

From experience Wetherspoons eateries can be very hit or miss. This is a top one with the great value food delivered promptly by friendly smiling staff.

Came with family for lunch. Four meals eventually ordered after a considerable wait for service. There were uncleared tables everywhere and the place had a look of dirty and in desperate need of a good going over. The meals arrived, much to our surprise, extremely quickly. However, the accompanying utensils were dirty and marked plus two of the meals were cold (vegetarian curry and a soup). A third meal was sorely lacking in its main ingredient ie Quinoa and the overall portion size was very small (my Granddaughter would have complained at this!). Returned to bar to complain about cold meals. Eventually a member of staff took two meals away. There was then a ten minute wait for the replacement meals by which time the other guests had finished theirs. When all meals had been finished a desert was ordered, no fresh fruit available so that was “off”. An apple crumble and ice cream was substituted - this, when it arrived looked so processed and was lacking in any real substance - a bit like a flat saucer!

Every Tuesday night is Steak night and what great value. 7.70 for a meal and a drink. Quite a varied selection which not only includes Steak meals but also chicken dishes as well ribs. The drinks choices are good as well

Myself and two friends were travelling to France via the ferry from Portsmouth.We decided to stay over due an early ferry.The rooms were top class with a walk in shower a large king size bed with all the usual things kettle etc.

We were travelling from Norwich to Cornwall and wanted to stop halfway so booked at this hotel for 1 night, very happy with the hotel,nice big room, comfy big bed and the shower was lovely very good.

Food is hit or miss but service is great. Staff are polite and they smile. Toilets are clean and the tables are tidy but could do with a proper wipe over. But overall a happy customer.

My husband and I were there today for lunch. Two large drinks, two meals and deserts for 17 pounds and so it was very good value for money.

We walked in on a Saturday morning and about half the tables were taken. The tables that were empty still had dirty plates and glasses on them and we struggled to find a clean table. The table we sat down at did not have any plates or glasses, but the table was sticky and had not been wiped clean. We got up and left and did not eat at the restaurant.

The food at this wetherspoons was very good quality and service was excellent. The staff were friendly and helpful. The place was very clean. We would definitely recommend it and we will be back.

We were staying overnight in the Wetherspoons upstairs (see separate review) so used the pub for both dinner and breakfast the following morning. We both had Pizza for dinner which were excellent and came out nice and hot. Unfortunately breakfast was not to the same standard. We both had a simple baked beans on toast but both came out practically cold and had to be returned. When they did come out neither the bread or beans seemed of a particularly high standard and not particularly tasty. It is unfortunate the breakfast was so poor as I would have given 4 for dinner though probably 2 for breakfast.

Was gonna have something to eat but no tables to sit at more empty plates with left overs on it but it wasn’t that busy decided to leave instead of waiting if they did more clearing the tables then it would of been ok never had a problem in the past must of been a bad day

Got served by a lovely bloke named Thomas, made me and the Mrs feel very welcome whilst ordering. I ordered a Gourmet Chicken Burger which was lovely for only £7!

Located in Andover High Street the John Russell Fox could not be easier to find but when you walk through the double doors it is just like walking into the comfiest of old english style pubs. The ground floor seating area is large and leads through the the long bar at which you order your drinks and food. If you do want to eat find your table first so that you can give the bar staff the table number for them to bring you your food.

Had a few breakfasts here and all ways been very good and at a good price and as much coffee as you can drink.

My girlfriend ordered a all day breakfast and the Bacon that came out on her plate looked raw and under cooked. I spoke to the duty manager who said that the bacon comes in already cooked and they finish it off!!!! Well it looks raw and under cooked no colour on it!!!!

On Friday 11th January the two of us went to the john Russell fox at 6:30pm intending to have the Wetherspoons fish and chips. Imagine our surprise to be told that they’d run out!!! A table of 6 and a table of 4 next to us all came for the Friday special, all disappointed. Anyone who goes to Wetherspoons knows how popular their specials are so why did they not have sufficient portions.

Just popped in at lunchtime for a quick coffee. Four customers waiting at the bar for service and one customer being served by the only bar member present.

Arrived here just after 12 with my daughter and grandson for a quick lunch. As soon as I walked all I could see was dirty tables with breakfast plates on. Picked a table, moved as it was sticky with only god knows what. Sat at a table that had plates on but looked ok until my grandson put his hands in ketchup left on the table. Menus are sticky which probably are the most germ ridden things in a pub. I usually love Wetherspoons but not this one. We had curry for lunch but it was all microwaved and the onion bhajees were so hard you could have killed someone with them, over cooked to an inch of their lives. I know it’s cheap and you get what you pay for but clean tables and edible food isn’t too much to expect from a pub surely.

I would not hesitate to stay the night here any time. Staff were extremely helpful to one with allergies for example.

fantastic reception team, lovely room,check in as smooth as anything, parking at the back very convenient. great nights sleep, nice dinner and breakfast. we have been to about 10 wetherspoons hotels and this was one of the best Andover is a lovely market town with lovely walks to local meadows and beautiful market square, decorated very nicely for christmas. can totally recommend this wetherspoons hotel, great location and service.

We always have lunch here when we visit Andover and we are never disappointed. We tried our first ever Wetherspoons pizza and cheesy garlic bread and were blown away by the quality and taste. Even though the pub was very busy we were served quickly and the food arrived promptly and piping hot. Not a scrap left on the plates. Hoping they introduce pizzas at Salisbury soon.

The John Russell Fox Hotel is part of the Wetherspoons group and it has recently undergone a large refurbishment to its hotel accommodation side. Although there was only myself and my wife, we were given a very large bedroom containing a super-king size bed, a large writing desk area, easy chairs, all the usual bedroom facilities for refreshments and a beautiful bathroom with an over bath shower and also a large walk-in shower. The whole of the bedroom accommodation area that we saw was completed to a very high standard.

Food served cold on cold plates, everything bought in as cheap as possible. Tables dirty and sticky All in all a waste of bloody money.

Spent the night here and noticed on arrival that the air conditioning was very noisy, we turned it off, or so we thought! Went for dinner and it was still thundering away when we returned, we asked the receptionist for help and she confirmed it was turned off, she said she would take advice and call us on the phone, the call never came much like the sleep we didn’t get due to the noise. Told receptionist in the morning when asked ‘did you sleep well?’ all she said was ‘oh dear’ I don’t feel we had good service or value for money and will never go again. Stay away from room 120 and don’t expect help if you need it!

Stayed for one night. Hotel receptionist pleasant and helpful. Room small but clean and functional. The disappointing part of our stay was the restaurant. We used the app to order lunch and evening meal. Lunch the order was wrong and food disappointing. Also with the evening meal we ordered a starter and the main did not arrive. When asked they quickly served but both meals were burnt and disappointing.

We arrived at teatime after a 5.5hr journey we chrcked in at reception. W3nt to pay with cash and was told they didnt except cash. I explained I had forgotten my my card. They refused to take me cash and were extremely rude. O said I would have to l99k for somewhere else. They proceeded to tell me they would still charge me if I was cancelling!!!! I explained I wasnt cancelling I was there and willing to pay. They made no effort on how we could resolve the issue. We offered to pay downstairs in Weatherspoons but they wouldnt allow that. Eventually had to resolve the issue by getting me daughter to transfer money to another card. Extremely rude unhelpful staff. They do not explain on their website that they do not except cash.

A lovely hotel situated above the bar / restaurant . Very clean pleasant large room with Kings Size bed and a double sofa bed. Very comfortable. Great separate shower to bath. Highly recomnend. breakfast not included. However, great full English breakfast available in bar / restaurant downstairs up to 12pm. Weatherspoon do great food and accommodation is top class.

Stayed at this place when visiting family,great staff very helpful also rooms are comfortable and clean. Only problem is that you have to park in the nearby car park as it doesn’t have its own parking? Also you can ring reception from the rear of the building without the need to go through the pub. Will definitely be using this service again.

Stayed for a night. First time I’ve spayed in a ‘Spoons’ - recently renovated so ultra modern bathroom and bedroom. Everything you could possibly need, including fantastic air con. The food itself was above standard for the chain and incredibly reasonable. I recommend staying here.

Stopped for quick bite to eat. It was ok....not wonderful , not the best Wetherspoons I've been in! Especially when I found chewing gum stuck inside the menu....ugh! Gross!

We stopped overnight and stayed at the hotel (mainly because it was so cheap!) The pub is a typical Weatherspoons, but the staff were noticeably friendly and helpful. We were so surprised by the room! It was lovely! Finished to a nice quality. The bathroom was amazing!! Bed comfy. MASSIVE TV. Clean. Hot drinks & spring water. Had a great night sleep. If you find yourself in Andover for the night, you can’t go wrong there.

Called in for a bite to eat and a few drinks whilst stopping over in Andover. Good drinks prices as usual and decent meals typical of Weatherspoons. Good staff and pleasant surroundings.

This Wetherspoons public house has had millions spent on it, but since it re-opened the service has become very poor.

Popped in for a drink one Saturday evening and it was very busy mostly with a young crowd alot of which appeared to be using the new roof top garden. I am a CAMRA member and must say I was disappointed with the selection of cask ale available, which were all pale hoppy beers which I personally do not like.

The place was welcoming and is bigger than you first think, there is plenty of seating. The staff were polite and friendly. The food was average, warm but not hot and they didn't fill the plates up with the sides, but their meal deals are worth bearing in mind if eating on a budget as their offers come with a drink which makes it an affordable option. Toilets weren't the best and there was no sign of them being checked regularly. Overall it has the potential to be better.

If you want to be served by surly bar staff, eat at sticky, dirty and uncleaned tables, wait way too long for distinctly average bar food to be served and have your dessert served without clearing your main course plates... then this is the place for you.

We called in for a quick, late lunch but guess that because it had been very busy the staff didn't have time to clear many tables. The food was ok but the Thai noodle dish was a very meagre portion. The staff are helpful and friendly.

Without a doubt, the best Breakfasts in town, great service and they can even cater for Gluten free and always happy to substitute things in and out to meet your taste. Love it.

There was a nice roof terrace for drinks and to chill, but since the bar is at the ground floor, you will need to go down, get a drink and get up again. Waited for quite awhile at the bar before I can get a drink too. But overall, a nice place to catch up and have a drink and/or a meal

Recently been in and its had a complete refit. As always the prices are almost unbelievable, and the drinks as good as anywhere else.

John Russell Fox stands out in Andover for it's affordable, quick service, diverse menu. The quality of the food is always of a high standard and although the average price of a meal is between £6-£8 and you think you'll receive what you pay for... it truly isn't! The meals are of a good portion size, fresh and delicious. The atmosphere is also lovely no matter where you sit!

Appalling service, took 20 minutes to get drinks and a further 15 to get food. Asked for butter for jacket potato and as we have now finished and left the pub, we are still yet to get butter. Worst service we have encountered

Since I last visited, they have opened a new roof garden. It's lovely! You can order your food via the app as it's obviously upstairs, but if you don't want to do that, you would need to go down to the bar. What would make it even better was if there was some shade! It's been such a hot summer and most of the tables are in full sun apart from a few around the edges. Some umbrellas or material fixed above the booths would do the trick - oh and the staff need to water the plants - some of them are dead already!

I am no snob and good food is good food! The meals are really fresh and really really good value for money! Nothing special I grant you but what it says on the packet is what you get... fish and chips - massive tasty portion, chicken burger tender and flavorsome - well done team!!!

We went on a Sunday morning for breakfast and sat on the roof terrace, which was a pleasant place to sit on a June morning. The tables were a bit dirty, but not too shabby. Ordering through the app is a great way to avoid queuing and the food was good value.

Recently visited Andover, went into John Russell Fox as it was very quiet inside, went to order (it was steak night) got told no 8oz steaks so I went for 14oz instead, along with a mixed grill.

Menu has greatly improved since the refurb programme, portions are generous, food is excellent and extremely good value for money. Staff are very polite and helpful.

Recently refurbished wetherspoons which gave much more spce and added a hotel. In general its a nice venue but could really do with more staff or better management. I have turned up fo a pint with my wife and found loads of uncleaned tables and after an hour that remained the case. Dont bother using the app as you could wait upto an hour. This could be so much better and lets the overall impression down.

I wanted to provide some feedback following a family visit to the John Russell Fox this morning, for breakfast.

Ordered my salad and it didn’t come with the dressing mentioned on the menu. Asked a waitresses who kindly went to get me some. It was not the dressing it was suppose to come with as they were out, but still paired okay with the salad. Couple bites in....the salad is fresh and nice, chicken a little dry but still good, & lovely avocados with lots of bacon. I grab another bite and there is a armpit/pubic hair in my food. I’m done. My husband ordered a burger though and it was great as he kindly shared with me. Fries are not the best. The plus is that it’s fairly cheap, so we didn’t miss out on too much money. They did offer to give me another entry.

We had the fish and chips this evening and it was excellent, better than some I've eaten in much posher restaurants. Great value for money.

A very nice hotel in the centre of town superb rooms large and conmfortable. good location to explore the town

It took 45mins to cook a breakfast and it turn up cold and missing a few key items like hash browns and sausages

I have had a number of breakfasts and lunches here recently, mostly solo, but also with a friend.

Went last saturday lunchtime and had fish and chips.... the portion was huge!!!! the fish was so fresh and delicious and the chips probably are the best in Andover!!!! Drinks at a good price..... would give it 100% but would like to get a table next time I go - hahaha, no really I like good food and thats what you get! Well done!

My wife, myself and my sister came here for a few drinks on Saturday night and as the weather was so nice we walked up to the new roof terrace. Beside from the face the walls were so high you didn't have a view it was very enjoyable sitting outside and catching up. The only downside was for a bank holiday weekend the did not have many drinks on tap. They had no Hophouse 13 or Blue Moon available so I was very disappointed in this.

This Wetherspoon's had been closed for a good few months for refurbishment and when I heard it had reopened I wanted to see how they had improved it. I came here with my friend, my Great-Uncle and his support worker for breakfast at around 11:30am. The first thing I noticed was how many tables and chairs had been cramped into the pub, clearly they were looking for more "bums on seat". When we found a table that was empty (most had dirty plates/glasses on them) we sat down and looked at the menu. We ordered 3 traditional breakfasts (mine with black pudding as I love the stuff!), 2 bacon rolls (the great-uncle is a fan of this), 3 soft drinks and a cappuccino - this was done with the Wetherspoon's app. This is where the problems started!

Quick couple of drinks before a curry in town. Staff slow to serve but friendly. Good selection of beers on offer...although we couldn't get one we fancied because the pipes were being cleaned. Recommended for a cheap night out, or quick drink before a meal in town.

I ordered (3) scrambled eggs on toad with the addition of two sausages for breakfast this morning, what I eventually received was two cold fried eggs served on cold rubberised toast on equally cold plates (and the sausages). When I pointed out this error to the waitress she said that I got what I ordered. Although she did offer to exchange the meal I declined because of the slow service that I had already received. On the positive side my wife did enjoy her fresh fruit and yogurt selection.
