I wanted to put one star but it wouldn’t let me post it. Food was cold , yes, actually COLD. As if it had just come out of a fridge. What it was a burger with bacon - how is this possible?? My wife had eaten her meal by the time I got a replacement. Her curry and rice was really small about the size of a starter. We won’t come here again

I love this pub. It has been my favourite since I moved to Tonbridge years ago.

The staff are very friendly and helpful. Food is always hot and on warm plates. I was comfortable sitting on my own after my partner had gone to an optician appointment. Although it was busy, it had a welcoming and chilled atmosphere. Thank you Bethany for helping me get my food order, chatting to me and cleaning away- great service!

Always a great experience lovely warm welcome every time I come in two lovely girls called Grace and Alisha always provide service with a smile and always happy to help and always giving good entertainment. Tyler, Josh and Beth are also members of the team whose service and attention to patrons warrant acknowledgment and appreciation. We love this place. 10/10

One of the best pubs round here lovely staff i always enjoy being greeted by Grace and Alisha they are the most loveliest girls need a pay rise i think. Just a shame the wifi is slower than the staff other than that always provided with the best customer service here

Arrived with a friend on Tuesday morning early.2 girls who turned out to be the rudest awful people I have ever come across no room here to go into detail but both should be dismissed immediately.

Went for the small breakfast, which was extremely good value for money, especially as it cam with coffee refills. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the establishment itself was pleasant, with comfortable seating, plenty of tables and clean toilet facilities.

Went to the Humphrey bean today and I was served by a lovely young lady Tanya who made sure we were taken care of. She went out her way to make our experience a pleasant one. Best service I’ve had from spoons

Food was fine but our waitress, Tanya, was superb! Attentive, friendly, charming, helpful - a lovely woman. Good old fashioned service- the way it should be. Thank you.

Great food friendly staff and great selection of beers

We were a large group of more than 40 and have to say the food came out very quickly and for the most was very tasty. Service was a bit hectic at first but served with a smile and made sure we were all served for which everyone was very happy.

Decent spoons, the staff have always been friendly and welcoming no matter what time of day, safe to say some of them have become friends now. Decent real ale selections especially the guest ales. Staff are always on point with dealing with drunken idiots and people that just want to cause chaos for the sake of it.

We attended a meet the Brewer session on wednesday at the Humphrey Bean, a burger and a beer for £5.00, (a bargain), we were able to try beers from the Three Acres brewery from Uckfield. The event was very well organised by Chandler, a very personable and pleasant member of the Humphrey Bean staff, he even provided table service for us , the whole experience was very enjoyabable. The beers we tried were very good and we were able to meet Chester from the Three acres brewery, who was also very pleasant and spent time talking to us about the brewery. We liked the beer so much that we chose it again on our next trip to the Humphrey Bean, we would definitely do this again. Thank you Chandler!!

Avoid! Rude staff! Chandler who claims to be a manager there is one of the rudest people Ive ever met! He made my experience horrible! He insulted me and my friends.

There is usually a mixed age group of customers, which has to be a good sign. As with all Wetherspoons an extensive menu and does not cost a fortune for a night out. Lovely selection of ales! Chandler and Beth were a delight! I don’t understand these one star reviews… must be from disgruntled drunks after being kicked out for rowdy behaviour. The spelling mistakes seem to point that way!

The staff are always so welcoming, it’s a great atmosphere. Foods always prepared and presented well. Glasses are clean & don’t smell like a dishwasher like some establishments I’ve visited locally and I’ve never found a reason to complain. One other thing I’m proud of is the staff for recognising any issues or inappropriate behaviour by the public and handled with professionally. Sadly these low life individuals take to Google reviews and try to bring the establishment down. Don’t be fooled by 1 star reviews !! You literally cannot go wrong :)

Really disappointed and won't be going back anytime soon. Dirty tables not being cleared, miserable staff and terrible food. Asked one of the staff and they were less than helpful. Used to be a lovely friendly place with kind and helpful staff but has gone downhill sadly.

I thoroughly enjoyed my usual ham egg and chips whilst in Tonbridge the other day. I brought the kids and was relieved to be met with colouring crayons and worksheets which they loved. Oh and tomato pasta! A lovely lunch, we will certainly be visiting again.

I went to Spoons in Tonbridge with my friends. We ordered 2 rounds and after the 3rd round the guy serving us says he refuses to serve us anymore because he heard that one of our friends lost her voice (she is ill). He said he was the manager on duty and had the right to refuse to serve us. That really shocked us! He weren’t even tipsy! He was very rude, unfriendly and disrespectful. His name is Chandler. He made us feel horrible and he made us feel very uncomfortable. Very rude! We were sat at a table, talking, and he started to treat us as some drunks! Chandler is a horrible manager with no respect for people! Avoid at all costs

Completely appalling service by manager Chandler. Luck of professional approach and rude behaviour from this individual definitely are the reasons for most of one star ratings. We came as a group of friends having food and barely few drinks on Sunday afternoon hoping to have good time which was disappointing due to arrogant, rude and disrespectful comments from above mentioned Chandler ‘manager’. I’m pretty sure this guy knows nothing about management nor customer service approach. One the worst service ever encountered. Stay away if you can .

Beer ok most of the time, but the food is very poor-often lukewarm or nearly cold on arrival. I suspect most of the stuff is pre- cooked and just reheated in the kitchen. Service is abysmal, staff (especially the " manager" ) completely disinterested when I tried to make a complaint about food quality. I'm done with this place.

We always like coming to "Spoons" and we like it. The food is very nice (favourite is BBQ pizza) and tasty, staff are always nice and service is brilliant.

Google requires a minimum of one star, but I don't think it deserves even one star here. Don't come to this place, it's too dirty, the waiter doesn't admit that he served the wrong food, and the coffee machine breaks down every year. There seem to be very few tourists like me here, they are all locals, most of them are very nice, but unfortunately, most of the ladies sitting around me are talking bad words non-stop, which is in line with this restaurant The current situation is that because I have already agreed on this location with my family, I am forced to sit here for more than three hours. During this period, I went to pick up coffee. When I came back, my seat was occupied, and the person was unwilling to give up my seat. I have been to Tonbridge twice in total, and each time I felt that this place was poor in all aspects.

It's hit and miss - this was the large lunch wrap - half filled with 2 pieces of chicken 😂. Oh and 12 chips 😂 Revisited today. DONT order fish and chips at lunch time. Half the plate was empty and the fish looked more like a goujon 😂

Oh dear! How standards slip when busy! We arrived and ordered at 8.30pm with some Nepalese friends. A staff member ordered me to put my pizza cutter away, without pausing he added that I'd he sees it again then I will be removed from the pub. I didn't say word and certainly didn't deserve at my old age to be threatened. Moments later, a security guard asked our friends for their identity. Not ours, or anyone else in the pub, as we were obviously English. They were ordered from the pub as their dinner was being readied. I had to plead for a refund. Wetherspoon need to be very, very careful when applying aggressive policies in this way to those of a different race or culture. Not good enough Wetherspoon. N.B I only brought the pizza cutter along as spoons deem incapable of cutting pizza's properly.

The food was okay, but I'd seen better in the other weatherspoons. It wasn't very clean in the pub, the tables were dirty no one to ask to clean the tables as there was only 2 staff which was behind the bar. Someone did start clearing the tables about 90 minutes later.

Not a very special meal but. Gammon egg and chips at least the eggs and the chips should be hot. And the eggs a bit soft Not BLACK AND BURNT.2 meals arrived and the other 2 took 10 minutes to arrive. Then dessers came but the crumble came with out banana as we asked so will not be returning.

I really like coming here to eat and have a few pints. The staff are nice, work hard and are receptive if you need anything. Kid friendly and the other customers, well we just seem to get on well. So definitely family orientated. Prices are very good and will always come back.

Shocking visit today, card machine not working, waiter sweating buckets, another waitier sitting at a table with blood pouring out of his nose just smearing it around, and a waitress that can hardly speak. If you have this lot on the pub floor then I don't want to see the chef. The blood put me off my food.

Mangled pizza.. yayyy.. I'm getting pretty tired of this stupid trend of chefs not bothering to cut a pizza when they serve it, especially when they don't even bother to provide you with a pizza cutter, apparently they don't even have them.

Usual Weatherspoons with nice cheap food. Staff are always friendly, which I find nice considering on the crap wages they get, so be nice when you visit any Weatherspoons.

One of the biggest and best weatherspoons pubs I have ever visited. Large outdoor space as well.

A lovely venue. However, my steak was over seasoned, which spoilt the flavour, and I'm not sure why at one weatherspoons (Maidstone, The Muggleton), a steak meal consists of ; steak , chips & peas. But, the Tonbridge branch offering was just steak & chips! The price is the same at both eateries! Our plates looked pitiful at the Humphrey Bean. Also, I had to remind the waitress that we'd ordered desserts to accompany our fruit bowls! Despite this, the atmosphere and service were pleasant enough to make up for any small indiscretions, and we were even given some local history from a lovely lady on the table opposite ours. We will dine here again. I just wish there was consistency at each Weatherspoons regarding what's on the plate 🍽 in relation to the price!

Got served by manager Chandler who was an absolute delight, brilliant service, will be definitely coming here again and bringing the family !!!! Loved it here xxx

Visited The Humphrey Bean for breakfast with my son, place is filthy, lots of flies, cold breakfast, hard eggs, one dried up mushroom, black pudding thin and burnt. Not a patch on the Opera House in Tunbridge wells. I won’t be back.

Wetherspoons pub in Tonbridge High St. A large pub with an equally large outside area. Prices are quite keen on many drinks including cocktails Food prices are also reasonable and a soft or alcoholic drink are included the prices for meals with an alcoholic drink are higher than the soft drink option. The pub is suitable for all age groups and good for families,there is a separate menu for kids. Wetherspoons Inns do not have music or entertainment but do have gambling machines. I am unable to comment on the food as I only had a drink. There is paid parking within a few minutes walk.

Was lovely service, and the refill coffees are a great idea, as they are nice quick and easy to use.

It's a Wetherspoons. You get what you pay for. The food is average but below average prices. The drinks options are extensive. The outside area needs some thought put into it..it never seems clean and tidy..more.sort of neglected even more.so.ag busy times. Always a bit crowded and chaotic, often without enough staff. Go to Fuggles up the road IMO

It was a shock to find a Wetherspoon pub with a large garden and toilets on the ground floor. Food and drink costs a bit more than most other JDW though.

Went for breakfast, never again. Ordered large breakfast came out no sausages or mushrooms. Went back came back 5 later cold. Sent it back, came back 30 seconds later just as cold. The coffee machines not working properly coffee was luke warm. Wouldn't go again.

I loved the food, the chicken bites are amazing. The food arrived hot and delicious. The pub manager Bella was warm and welcoming.

A great weekend breakfast for a sensible price!! Sometimes a little slow when it's busy, but always worth a trip!

We visited on: 23/06/24. Only graded the atmosphere as 3 stars because of the historical building. However it is severely dirty and lacking in hygiene and care. Worst spoons I have ever been to frankly. I wiped our booth table down with antibacterial hand gel and tissues myself and the tissues were filthy after. Absolutely blackened from filth. The pictures hanging around the booth had crusty food hanging off the peoples faces and clearly it had been there sometime. The menus were caked in food and sticky absolutely everywhere. We ended up having to download the app to use a menu. Also the staff seemed to have no idea about vegetarianism as the first worker told us there were two vegetarian sausages left and we both had ordered breakfasts including veg sausages I clearly told him ‘ok keep the sausages ordered with the veggie breakfast and I am happy to remove veggie sausage from my breakfast wrap’ a simple solution to the issue. he then came back and clarified what we agreed so I repeated it clearly again to not have sausages in the wrap and to keep them on the veggie breakfast. The next worker then brought the food over to us and said ‘here’s your vegetarian breakfast with meat sausages’ I was shocked and said ‘I’m sorry what?’ And he told me they put the vegetarian sausages in the wrap and added meat sausages to the vegetarian breakfast. I can’t even comprehend who thought that would be a good idea, chef or worker and I would really love to know who feeds meat to a vegetarian. I told him ‘no we’re vegetarian we don’t eat meat and we cannot have this with those on there’ the meat had been touching other items on the plate. Then then proceeded to bring out the same breakfast with the meat sausages removed and they added some toast and halloumi to the plate. Which would have been a good idea had it not been the same meat contaminated plate and food. Filthy disgusting, dirty and lazy spoons. Would give minus score if it was possible

Me and my friend Peter(ex air force pilot) come often to weatherspoon, service and staff is spot on. I really admire the manager(Tyler) as he always recognize us. Visited today with friends, sat outside in the lovely outdoor area which was exceptionally tidy ,staff well on top of clearing and cleaning tables. Bought drinks while perusing menu, the bottle of white wine was ice cold and crisp ( villa maria) this was recommended by lady serving us. We then ordered food , 1x fish and chips. 2 x scampi and chips and 1x all day brunch . Unfortunately the food was not hot so I spoke to one of the staff and with no hesitation the plates were whipped away with apologies and the promise of replacement food. The food that later arrived was piping hot and with more apologies. The staff dealt with this exceptionally well and very professionally. Your staff at this Wetherspoon's are a credit to the Company. We will certainly be visiting again .

Came for fathers day. Staff obviously work incredibly hard and management were running around working themselves to the max. It must be difficult to work when customers are rude and have no awareness of the obvious strain the staff were under. Food was cooked to a lovely standard :)

Lovely pub - great garden to enjoy the sunshine, and a plus that they are showing the Euros when theres no sports bar in Tonbridge anymore. Lovely ale selection and looks like they are having a tap takeover with a local brewery soon? Exciting!
