A very well run establishment with efficient, welcoming counter-service and food delivery. Breakfast quickly delivered - hot & well cooked; evening meals likewise. Tables promptly cleared and cleaned. Sauce bottles the best regimented I've ever come across as though on parade. Was fairly quiet during morning visits but busier in evenings - could get more hectic later.

The food is good , but the service can be a bit slow sometimes, but that's because it can be very busy sometimes being in the city centre, but overall a good place

Lovely cheap place to eat out, close to everything in Portsmouth, so ideal for various events. I ordered through the app, and my drink came within 5 mins and my lunch within 10 mins. Cutlery was given, but no condiments, except a weird salad dressing. The waitress didn't point out to us where they were, so we had to wander around looking for them. The venue itself was a little run down, decor wise. If it was more modern looking, it would draw a lot more people in, I think. The ceiling screams Dot Cotton! 😂

We love coming here but when the bouncer with no hair is on he always refuses us, the past 2 times we have been sober me and my friend got on but our boyfriends didn’t, if we were drunk we would understand but the fact we were going for dinner is a bit annoying. He turned our boyfriends away straight away saying they were drunk but they were completely sober. Very disappointed as we love coming here but when trying to come as a group it’s just sad.

An above average spoons this, food was lovely, pints were cheap and well poured and the general vibe was nice. And of course, the toilets were a trek away from my table, never change Whether spoons x.

Im used to weather spoon s and there mirowave curry, but when they naan turns out to be harder than bricks you have to say something, well was i in for a treat a smeeming hot naan that for soggy and wet, after this i have given up, They need to sack there miro wave tech for anther who can use it properly

Very very busy. Had a job to get a table. Staff were very busy. Food served promptly.

Good atmosphere and a cracking breakfast.

I came on Saturday night during a rugby game and the place was very busy. There was a great atmosphere and even at that time the staff was very swift and professional. Especially the team leader Elliot, who found a chair for me in the crowded pub. The food was ready quickly and very good for its price.

This pub seems to get very busy with people having food/drinks before they attend events at the Guildhall. Later in the evening it gets busy with students. The first night we visited coincided with the Michael Ball concert at the Guildhall and the place was packed standing room only at the bar. We returned a few hours later and managed to get a table for a couple of drinks. On our second visit the pub was not so busy and we managed to get a table. The bar staff were very polite and efficient, we ordered cod and chips and steak and chips the food was served quickly and efficiently and was very nice. The toilets were on the top floor so a bit of trek but were clean and tidy. If I returned to Portsmouth I would definitely visit this pub again.

We ventured into this Pompey Wetherspoons and were struck by how many of the young crowd were sporting Travis Kelce haircuts. We stayed for a couple of drinks and during that time witnessed a scuffle at the bar.

Come here regularly. Bit dissatisfied with messy tables. Hence 3/5 for atmosphere (should that be service?) Few empty tables but with old glasses and crockery on from previous occupants. We had to clear ours before we sat down

The manger on shift was amazing very helpful, she was in a black and white spot top she was amazing with our table , will be back again

It's a Wetherspoon. Not bad but not particularly inspiring, either.

Watched bouncer (older man with short greyish beard and hair) kick someone trying to leave in back of the head and pin him to the ground stomping him.

It's a wetherspoons so you know what you will get before you walk in the door. The biggest question is how far you will have to walk to find the toilets 🤣🤣 The only other question is which real ales will they have, the majority of the other drinks are the same from Scotland to Cornwall.

Wetherspoons are normally good friendly public houses, with good customer service. However, on this occasion I was overcharged the advertised price, when I mentioned this to the manager, he stated that it should have been altered and was not, consequently there was nothing he could do but overcharge me despite admitting it was not the advertised price.

This spoons does not sell pizza which isn’t ideal, it gets very busy if there is an event in the guildhall but the staff deal with it very well

Recently had drinks here with friends, really quick service when going to bar, very friendly 100% recommended

You get what ypu pay for here. Quick fast service and speedy food. The.service from Taz was amazing, such an asset to this team. Friendly, funny and simply lovely.

Drab and dismal , needs updating

Good food at a fair price, the place was buzzing.

Came here with a large group, lots of space for seating. All the drinks and food came out in good time and tasted amazing. My only question, is why do the ladies toilets have random holes in? You can see in to the toilet.

Sorry normally weatherspoons pub food is nice but order a vegetarian option Breakfast as dont eat pork sausages. Not impressed. Food looked like it was from yesterday and dry. Just warmed up not hot. Bar was busy and I was tired so had my coffee and left.

The cutlery appeared with unpleasant water marks, they weren't wiped after the dishwasher had done the wash.

Nice place. But six bar staff all doing app orders for lazy people who can't be bothered to walk 15 steps to the bar. No one actually serving at the bar. Weird times. But I guess that's 2023 for you

Staff are very kind and attentive. They are happy to make small changes to orders if need be. Lots of room and space areas. Sadly it suffers from the curse of all weatherspoons and had the toilets upstairs. Good for a cheap meal deal. It does get busy though and is on the main street pub area a avoid at night

Previously had really nice food here - nice and easy. However, this time round, high chair was sticky and not clea, food took longer when ordered by all compared to friends who.went to bar. Food wasn't great. Both were missing bits of meal and chips were cold.

Dark & dreary with an odd smell. Only had a coffee, fine for the price.

This was an exciting pub for having a drink, with a smoothly laid out and flashy counter! The design including books on shelves is pretty, seating is comfortable and I had a refreshing pint of Corona Extra.

This is the quintessential Wetherspoons. The ease of ordering on the app, food is good enough and the drinks are a lot cheaper than anywhere else. People criticise, but personally I love it! 🌞

Nipped in for some food before work, already there's rowdy men in the pub shouting, staff were quick at taking my order but not overly friendly. Food came out so quick, I wondered if it came out of the fridge and put on the plate straight away. Some might say it's cheap, but cooked food should be hot or am I missing something here ?

After driving twelve miles and spending £2.70 on parking to turn up at 10:35am and be told that you've ran out of basically everything for the breakfast. Poor management, should have ordered in more and prepared for the bank holiday and poor communication to customers.

Jacket Potato and Baked Beans. Never knew I would be able to count the number of dried beans served. Fiesta burger presented with a nice hand print in the bun from the chef. Toilets stink like a urine filled underpass. This maybe cheap but it is not value for money
