Costa Coffe in Portsmouth

Would have got 5 stars, but the accessible entrance wasn't working and had to get the attention of staff to help me get in to and out of the place. The staff were very helpful and apologetic.

Polite staff and handy location

Been in a few times and each time has been quick, smooth and friendly service. The coffees i have had have always been really hot meaning i can take my time and the peach iced teas i've had have been perfect, thanks!

Great customer service, super friendly staff however never any vegan options for cakes! There used to be a few, now you're lucky if there is a vegan tea cake which doesn't quite hit the spot when you've come for a slice of sugar heaven! Such a shame :( other costa's always have 2 or 3 vegan options!

I have been here with my Miniature Dachshund on numerous occasions in the past. I have just been informed that dogs are NIT welcome!!!!! What shocking service. To add insult to injury, I have just been welcomed into Greggs instead. Why Costa?

I go to this costa alot with my baby for a coffee or to feed, and the staff are always so nice and helpful, offer to bring my coffee over if I'm feeding the baby. Would like to shout out fabulous customer service from Mia too (I think that's how you spell her name) She always comes across so personal and nice and also always happy.

Love this coffee shop. Always happy and cheerful.

My sister has a weak bladder and you wouldn't let her go for a wee and other shops wouldn't let her go either this is hoffic but you let me go to the toilet she's only 14 are you actually joking

I'm sat here enjoying a really good flat white and I'm blown away by the two ladies working. Mandy is a machine, giving every customer the same amazing service, processing orders as quick as she can, communicating with the girl who is making great coffees, offering every customer an upsell 'bacon roll or pastry' and trying to clean up what other customers leave behind, Uber orders coming in and communicating to the drivers, saying hello to regular customers and its all happening at the same time. I've worked in customer focused environments my whole life and people like this should be treasured. Reward them, give them a raise, they're a shining light and you should make sure they know it. Thank you to you both for starting my Friday in the best way.

Only down grades the food as no gluten free options apart from cake

Highlight was the barista, who was welcoming, friendly and made one of best Costa coffees I have tasted. He made a point of wishing me well when I left too. Decor was acceptable but not 5 star. Toilets were clean and well kept. The only downside is the location - obviously not Costa's fault!

Had a lovely latte and raspberry almond bake today. Very nice environment.

A nice standard costa coffee with comfy seating and was nice and quiet when we went meaning easier to have a chat.

Didn't eat but it is well worth the visit

Gets very busy at times so can be slow. Main negative is price-much dearer than other Costas nearby. Recent price rise twice for Belgian cookie £2.50 now £2.75. Two Americanos £2.95 each & Cookie =£1 more than at Waterlooville. Told it's because they're franchised.

I'm sorry Costa staff here but walked with my 2 year old into Cosham to get a coffee and got there at 5.05 pm, considering you shut at 5.30pm. Otherwise, I wouldn't have gone. Unfortunately, you said you were just closing. I asked why and you replied as your short staffed I'm sorry I saw 3 of you in there, you've now lost my regular business. I work in a shop and close at 5pm no earlier as that's when we close.

Just left this Costa had to wait ages then they got my order wrong where is the older lady she is so fast also a just eats guy came in and was waiting for his order and he put his bag on top of the suger etc stand don’t know where it has been Hygiene

Costa coffee same Aspall costa. But service was very organised and quick aimed costa have been slow. Also I called back k later in the week to see if I hadleft a water bottle their .I was so pleased to get it back.

Popped in for a Cappuccino and a bacon roll, Quick service and good food / Cappuccino very happy with the purchase and surroundings.

Toilets grubby and could do with more regular/thorough clean. Top service and good cuppa!

Typical Costa coffee shop, staff very helpful and friendly. The shop could do with a makeover to Brighten up the place, need to replace service trays very worn and old looking.

This is Costa so it's good if you know what to expect. Personally as an Italian I get a cortado with coconut which means it's not as bitter and if you get decaf it's even more pleasant

A big café with lots of tables and comfortable seating. A decent atmosphere, helped by the lovely staff of course. Ideally situated at the end of the highstreet, not far from parking or bus stops. Good food and drink and quick service. If you're ever in the area, well worth a visit

Such a lovely bistro. The staff are amazing, a lad called Max was so friendly and a girl called Cerys was so kind. I would highly recommend this coffee shop for a relaxing lunch or a peaceful Sunday coffee.

Very busy inside which is a good sign, staff were pleasant and service was quick. Drinks are always on point too. I’ve never had a bad Costa coffee! There was some slight confusion around where to queue but this hadn’t been signposted or labelled. Also, it’s a shame there’s nowhere to sit outside! i would come back again though.

Staff always so friendly and helpful. Sad that the loyalty card has been altered to drink only. Also bit expensive.

Always find it hit and miss. How can the temperature and taste of a mocha vary so much?

I ask for flat white no custume was very cold was two young man talk one to another i have told him my coffe is cold not hot he said OK walk way.

I was very impressed with my last visit to the Costa in Cosham - since I’d last visited, the service was more efficient and the shop itself was much better stocked and clean. They appear to be keeping on top of tables, floor and toilet cleanliness which is very reassuring. Short wait for drinks, even though they were busy. Was really pleased with my visit today!

Coffee is good hot and never been dissapointed here and I'm fussy with coffee.have been in here over 10 years now a d I'm never dissapointed with coffee.

So noisy. They crash and bank and those coffee machines Nice coffee no. Place could do with some dampening on the ceiling above counter to absorb the clatter. Nice though.

The service was incredibly slow, three staff and a massive queue of customers waiting for their drinks. The tables were awash with empties, quite poor really.

We had ordered extra hot coffees, but they were not extra hot. Disappointed.

When it's dank and grey in Cosham I know where to go for a nice cup of coffee and a smile ;-)

What is wrong with the manager at this place first of all they had no white bread for toast for quite a few weeks running then to day had no bread at all why could one of them not go next door to Poundland or just a minute away is Tesco what a disgrace

They say u get what u pay 4 .Its true here coffee is very good .expensive thats why its nick name is Costa Lot.

Popped in for quick drink. Café not busy. Initially ignored by 3 staff. Trainee eventually politely took order. Waited 5-10 mins for first drink. No explanation regarding the other drink.. When we said ‘we don’t mind waiting but would like to know what was happening please?’, the ‘Trainer‘ brusquely said ‘I’m training, do I need to tell you that ?!’ We said ‘no we just would like to know when our drink will be ready please’. This was met with a scowl and eventually the second drink arrived and was plonked down in front of us! We understand people get tired and stressed and sometimes customers have to wait but all we wanted was the delay politely explained to us. More customer service training needed please.. Always busy, staff are great. Clean and tidy. Flat whites served nice and hot.

Asked to rinse reusable cup, refused by lady with white pig tailed hair who then refused to serve me. Asked for her name to make complaint, she refused. Worst ever experience at any Costa. Avoid this one!

Staff tall lady long plated ponytail best customer service I have seen works while serving is polite get the order right first time and it very proactive, great experience

Friendly place to go for coffee

Friendly staff & clean premises. Nice selection of drinks and toasties/pastries/cakes etc although I do find them more expensive than some other coffee shops.So glad this branch opens at 8am on a Sunday morning as convenient for my early morning walk!! Nice and quiet at that time too.

Only two staff. Service much slower than usual. Wished we had not bothered!!!! Now just add insult to further injury as we are still waiting 20 mins on, one of the two members is chatting up a friend! Not good.

Long waits for overprice coffee paying for the name as usual, there are 4 cafes around it where its half the price and the service is better

Went in no seats (C19 spacing) two staff on who said they would save us next table. Which they did. They were serving, cleaning tables and chairs working hard and keeping people safe. Great job lovely coffee in difficult circumstances. Staff who took pride and care in their work.
