Shocking I've never been so surprised with the service here. I imagine prison guards speak to you with more respect. Food is below par took 3 working days to arrive the staff even took the time to have an argument with eachother acting like there isn't a lot of competition in the area. Shocked this place is even still open.

Disappointing... Place is clean with good decor. Food was fine... Drinks took forever to arrive and although have the 'barrister' style machine it tasted like cheap instant. Delivered us somebody else's drink to begin with and after sipping it realised it wasn't ours. But they did manage to deliver to correct able (after we tried it!?🫤). And was charged for an out of date sauce sachet. Surprised was so bad as there is a lot of competition in the area! Shame as I think they try hard..

Dez was amazing, fitting all 16 of us in, making sure our food orders were all in and correct, checking on us and giving me a free prosecco. Thanks Dez for making everything smooth and enjoyable.

Great place to go with Family and Friends. Come a few times a week. Fantastic staff always happy and friendly. Des is a great member of the team always goes out of his way for you.

Came here for lunch and the football. Ended up staying till dinner because the hospitality was so good. Dez who looked after us was quality and will defo go back

this is a disgraceful place. i had a worker ask if i wanted a ice cream shoved in my face. i am a child, she is an adult. do not recommend this place!! don’t even deserve any stars!!!

Dez the bartender was extremely friendly and helpful, the pub area was busy but he recognised use from are last visit and was very assertive and found us a table! He was very funny! He was calling me the endearing term “Mate” as he remembered from our last visit me saying I don’t like being called mate in a friendly way🤣 this is a must visit place if your ever in Portsmouth! If Dez is not working the rest of the team are friendly and helpful!

Went out with my family for a fun day out and was served by a man called Des with a colourful shirt and he was really nice and welcoming. Will definitely be coming back!

We had a wonderful experience with our whole family. Jules provided amazing service and made us all feel very welcome after a long flight to England.

Went in for a couple drinks coz the day was a scorcher! The bar was ram packed but we got quickly seen to by Ryan and Miles behind the bar, we will be back (maybe when it quiets down a bit tho haha)

A sunny weekend led to the restaurant being exceptionally busy but we had great service from Des at the ordering point. So friendly and helpful, it made our evening so much better. Thanks Des!

We had a great time at Brewers Fayre, thanks to Ryan, Esme and Lana! Ryan was new but was super friendly and helped us pick tasty dishes and had great knowledge about the menu. Lana and Esme made sure our food came out quickly and just how we wanted it. They made our meal extra special, and we can't wait to come back for more!

Cold windy and raining … but had a lovely warm welcome from Jules, she even helped to find out if our ferry was running or not. Lovely lady

Came here mid-afternoon with my daughter and partner. Was welcomed by des. Was very polite and a big smile on his face. Showed us round to the play area where my daughter loved playing in. Food was amazing 10/10. Definitely will be coming again

First and last visit here today. Took 5 minutes to get served...no prices on the paninis or jacket potatoes. Was £38 for 2 portions of chips, 3 paninis, 1 jacket potato and 2 fruit shoots. Took an age to arrive the food was slapped down no asking who which meal was for. An extra 25p per sachet if we wanted ketchup, chips were dry and flavourless, paninis I could have made better myself. No dressing on the meagre side salad. I don't normally write reviews for restaurants but felt the need to as this was so bad. Feels like they are very complacent due to the location and the trade they must get with no effort...

Came here with my sisters who were visiting from Wales, very lovely staff and smashing breakfast! Rules looked after us well and came over to make sure we had everything we needed. Overall, the breakfast was great, as was the service. Highly recommended!

Basic food cooked ok but poor quality

I ordered a flat white and received an Americano filled to the top. When I took the lid off the cup it folded inward and scalded both my legs. The phone number is out of order as I tried to call to make a complaint. Will follow this up in store.

Would not recommend this place for fish and chips. My kids caf type food was ok but my fish came rock hard batter, thick with minimal fish in the middle and the chips were not more-ish. The interior design is pleasant and may well be ok for other food, but given they say fish and chips on the exterior then that is over-selling. You may also want to bring your own sauces if you aren't keen on ketchup and brown sauce which is see through and obviously the cheapest the cash and carry could offer. I did not feel well after and it wasn't a great start to our visit.

I think I’ve just had the best English Breakfast… ever. Cooked with care, and very very nice. A lovely spot and friendly staff.

I dined on Sunday 28th November 2021.Myself, my wife and 2 daughters enjoyed the carvery, along with some free Christmas crackers.The meat was lovely and good portions and a decent range of vegetables too. Potatoes were nice and were some crispy ones too.The staff were very helpful when ordering and clearing away.We had a lovely time here and will definitely come back.

My whole family came for a Sunday Christmas lunch and had an excellent experience. Our main server Declan was especially amazing and as were all of the other staff we were assisted by. 10/10, loved every minute and the food was soooooo yummy! Will definitely be visiting again next time we are in the area as a family! Thank you to the whole team!!!!

I would like to say been coming here 4 years now with a large group of family I always find staff very tentative welcoming etc but I'd say Mitchell is always there helping out etc great customer service a credit to your venue 👍

I've had a wonderful experience with the food. The staff have been incredible, Derrick picked up a cake for my mother in laws birthday, deeanna and miles have been wonderful and very attentive. Sean has been also very helpful, and checked back on us. I general the whole staff have been fantastic, and I can't appreciate it enough. MJ was fantastic on first arrival, very welcoming. Declan was brilliant in resolving a minor query I had about the festive menu, I wholehearted recommend staying here.

Popped in for a bit of lunch today while enjoying our day on the arcades... lovely lunch. Food hot, tastes great. Lots of building work extending the beach walkway, didnt effect my meal. We have planned to go to Spice Island at Old Portsmouth but a couple of days before we were told that the kitchen would be shut so no food. This was disappointing as we were a group of 11 people and everyone was looking forward to it. However my friend managed to book Brewers fayre at Clarence Parade and we were not disappointed, in fact we had such a nice meal, we all nearly had the carvery and we were having such a lovely time chatting and eating together that it was hard to leave. All of us were impressed with the food, our table and the place in general. Now from the outside it is weathered but please go in, it's worth it. Thanks for accommodating us, we have plans to return soon.

This lovely little place has a great family feel to it and has got some wonderful staff. I had a delicious carvery and was helped by a lovely young lad called Jake. Unfortunately the veiws of the sea was blocked by sea defences but that still doesn't take away from the charming little placeI will be comming here again if I'm ever down in Portsmouth again

The Brewers Fayre staff are wonderful and the customer service is great. Declan, Mitch, Kelly, Derek and MJ are fantastic. I have been visited for months now due to working away and would highly recommend this place.

Visited here last weekend and the food was amazing, the staff were so lovely, highly recommend. Also had a play area for the kids.

Visited here on Friday 24 September and had a Caesar Salad. It was absolutely fantastic, good size and great quality food. The service myself and my group of friends received was really really fantastic. Super friendly welcome when you come in, all staff members were outstanding and helpful and I felt safe when there as well. I can't fault anything with my visit.

What started off as a disastrous holiday for us, completely turned around when we found this little gem of a pub! From the moment we walked in with our 2 young children we was instantly made to feel welcome!! The staff are so friendly and helpful especially Des. He gave us loads of helpful advise of things to do in the local area. He talked us through the menus and what they had to offer.We ended up going every day for breakfast and dinner!! The service was very prompt, and the food was beautiful! I honestly can’t fault anything. We will definitely return on holiday here, but next time stay in the premier inn!! 1000% recommend this place! Thank you so much Derick and team, your fantastic!

Went to South Sea with my family, after going on the rides we went to the brewers fayre for lunch. We were greeted by Kelly who was very welcoming and quickly got us a table. We placed our order at the bar and Derek served us, very friendly and recommended items on the menu for us. The food was hot, fast and tasty. Would recommend this place, great family friendly restaurant.

Avoid… blue plastic item found in food…. Started off fine; ordered at 1635 at 1647 the food arrived hot. As eating it found some blue plastic item in the food; towards the end of the meal… absolutely disgusting. There was no check backs, or how was the food. Avoid at all cost

Literally the worst meal I have ever had. Me & my husband both had burgers and my 4 year old had the tortillas for starter, tomato pasta for main and ice cream for pudding. My husband took a big mouthful of coleslaw and nearly puked. It literally smelt of dishwater and tasted as bad- like it had some sort of cleaning chemical on.The beef burger was dry as a bone and looked horrid.My daughters pasta has like a ‘film’ over it and tasted horrible. Her ice cream was gross- not even sure how you get ice cream bad. The wafer was also stale. We felt sick straight after and 3 hours later- the little we ate is still repeating on us. HORRIBLE! Will never ever go back for food. I never complain and never write negative reviews but this deserves it!

This Brewers Fayre looks a bit run down on the outside, the windows could do with a clean but inside it’s nice. The staff were all really nice, friendly and helpful.

When we first came in we was immediately given a friendly greeting, as we walked past the carvery it looked amazing! Definitely the best carvery I’ve seen in Portsmouth, can really tell the kitchen care about the food quality it looked the same at the beginning until we left. Sam (I’m assuming Head Chef or Kitchen Manager) was so helpful and we could see she took pride in her food. I would 100% recommend to anyone in Portsmouth looking for a good priced, amazing tasting carvery. Will be back soon with family and friends.

Took my family today and had one of the best carverys I've ever experienced the meat was cooked to perfection along with all the sides the chef in charge who's name I think was Sammy was very passionate and a complete perfectionist making sure all the food on offer was to a very high standard a very rare thing to find in "pub grub"chefs. Our server Jason was absolutely lovely and couldn't do enough to make my family's experience a great one couldn't recommend it enough all round great staff and food

We stopped by for a last minute lunch today and we were really impressed! We ordered from the daytime menu which is incredible value - 2 meals for £8.99! 3 of us opted for smothered chicken and 1 had fish and chips. Meal sizes were generous, well cooked and we all cleared our plates! We will definitely be back - thank you.

I took my dad and stepmom here for lunch midweek as I haven’t seen them for almost two years due to the obvious pandemic.. my dad suggested it as he comes in frequently ( topless coffees he told me … meaning endless refills !!! lol ) Anyway all regulations were adhered to ( another reason for my dad) staff were all polite and helpful and all meals were fantastic they can even mix things around if you have certain preferences.. shame the view has suffered due to the sea defence but can’t be helped.. anyway thank you all and I shall return with the parents in September..

We visited after a friend said how nice the food was. I used to be a frequent visitor over 20 years ago when my boys were little as they loved the play area. Quite a few changes had been made since I was last here however it was well decorated and clean. The outside can be a bit off-putting as major sea defence work is taking place just out side so the pub sea view is temporarily limited and the car park is also out of action, however inside was welcoming and very modern. We had a lovely meal with very attentive service from Yasmin. There were not many Customers but it was fairly late in the evening so many family's had left. I got talking to the person who showed us to our table called Des. I was telling him my children used to love coming here and I had fond memories of those days but said how different the play area looked now from the outside as it's more closed off than it was back then. To my delight Des went out of his way to let me have a quick look round the then closed area, my memories came flooding back of my 2 boys playing in there and seeing Billy Bear. Thank u Des and Yasmin you are a credit to your pub.

Restaurant was part of Premier Inn meal deal. Food and drink was standard fayre for Brewers Fayre. Good value. Declan gave excellent service , approachable, good with the children and good humoured. 👍

Just want to thank Declan and all the staff for making our family break so enjoyable.They were very helpful and friendly and even found my husband a seat to watch the football on Sunday whilst my dad and I had another table.Food and service were excellent and would recommend.

We arrived on a busy Saturday evening and were shown promptly to our table. Covid rules and social distancing were all properly explained and followed and mask wearing and sanitising were enforced. Our server tonight was a lovely and friendly young man called Declan, who brought us our drinks and food nice and quickly.Everything was fresh and hot and the service was efficient and very pleasant.Great value - Would recommend.

We came for my mums birthday meal so my little girl could use the play area and were served by a lovely young boy called Harry (not sure if I remembered his name right!) but for a young lad he had the most fantastic service and was so attentive. The lady who was the manager was also absolutely faultless. Amazing service and a lovely family restaurant.

Patryk was our server and his service was outstanding. Very helpful and polite, We will definitely come back.

Arrived, waited at door, waited a little longer, came into establishment and asked two chaps chatting if anyone was working the door, told I will be with you in a moment, carried on waiting and then left, if that's what your service is like we weren't staying to see the rest of it. Great breakfast in weathespoons though xx
