Friendly staff, lovely food and clean! Great service.

The steak was cooked just how I asked and it was delicious.

Visited on Father’s Day which was very busy so the service was a bit slower than normal but the food was excellent only thing that spoiled it was there was 3 dogs in the restaurant area & one kept barking a lot which was a dog lover don’t mind but the barking was off putting why eating food

Decided to come to the watermill for some lunch on Wednesday and as it was a lovely day we decided to sit outside to eat food, it was okayed by the lovely lady on the bar but got confronted by another member of staff who came across very rude and abrupt about us sitting outside. This interaction made the place feel very unwelcoming and uncomfortable. If it wasn’t for the lovely lady behind the bar making us feel welcome we would have left and gone somewhere else for lunch. Apart from this the food was lovely and I would come here again providing the rude member of staff was to gain more people skills.

This was a very enjoyable visit. Food came out quickly and the steaks were very tasty. I very much recommend the mixed grill. I will be back again

Sunday lunches never fail to please, haven't been for a while and didn't recognise many of the staff, however the food was hot delicious and beautifully presented. However, I must say the Watermill looks a little unkempt and seems to have lost its sparkle.

This was a very enjoyable visit. Food came out quickly and the steaks were very tasty. I very much recommend the mixed grill. I will be back again

What a beautiful place with all the beautiful surroundings However the customer service was appalling Staff didn't know what was on the menu Table service was absolutely shocking They brought half of our tables lunch We had to chase them for our other members food When approached they were very rude This place we always go to with family And had friends Where the staff was attentive Will not be returning Very disappointed with the experience

Used to be a great (though pricey) place as a kid in the 1990s .now it just seems to lack any character or warmth. Empty place .. had to check to see if a table was available. Seemed to cater to mid to uper class and not really aimed at family anymore. Sunday dinner was quite nice (quote from the wife). Everything else was nothing great sadly. Just seemed vey much like a microwave jobby pub. Shame really seems to have lost any kind of attraction.

The food was fantastic and the staff very accommodating and friendly. A great motor home pub stopover.

We stopped in for lunch (without a booking). Staff were friendly and helpful, only slight comment was that we weren't offered children's menus and had to go back to request one - glad we did as it was excellent. Good selection of food for the kids - our older (8y) one particularly appreciated the 'bigger appetites' section, and it was nice to have a veggie side offered with the kids pasta. Both loved the dessert. All reasonably priced. Adults food was also very good, and again appreciated having a 'light lunch' option - although portions were generous. No long wait for either food or service, despite it being relatively busy for the number of staff on. And everyone was very friendly.

Very good food,lovely stuff,very clean and tidy nice place to go

Poor experience here, I could put up with the very tired facilities if the service had been better. Staff were few and far between, difficult to get served and they were rude and abrupt, this is probably because they were busy and under a bit of pressure so maybe understandable but not great when you are on the other side of it.

My boyfriend has a very strict diet due to an intestinal problem and they did not have any problem adapting the food for him. They were incredibly friendly and attentive, and the place is very well maintained.

This pub used to be our regular eating & drinking pub , called here for a drink prior to booking into a b&b, very sad to see it going to the dogs , we sat outside in the sunshine everything looked neglected all the flower pots were bare , there was a planter by the door that had fallen apart with soil pouring into the floor , the huge umbrella in the patio area was full of tears & holes , the staff were lovely & friendly, it's a shame to see it so run down , 2 years ago before we moved to Pembrokeshire it was well kept & cared for so sad to see it now 😕

I found the pub looking scruffy and service was terrible waited 50 mins for food and it wasn't worth it burgers were burnt but pink inside my lasagne was also burnt we didn't complain as we had waited so long but deffo won't return I came to this pub a few years ago it was quite posh then with very good food and menu so sorry to see it like this now shame

Fabulous pub in a stunning location! The food (I had scampi, my other half had the mixed grill) was all cooked to perfection! Lovely atmosphere and the staff were all very nice and welcoming! Highly recommended!

Food was good. Service was excellent. Can't want for more :) Pricing is a little high, but this seems to be the new "normal"; inflation, fuel, and energy prices have had a dramatic impact over the last five years.

Lovely location god historical pub service wasn't great young boy needs a little more training when serving the food, steak was very chewy lots of fat, onion rings cremated looks like they where cooked days before and nasty dry frozen chips as always tho saving grace was the cauliflower bites

Sunday lunch, plenty of everything, everything cooked perfect. Dog friendly, clean and relaxed atmosphere.

Honestly it's a lovely pub in a great setting, but the food was poor, fried, over cooked starters with a bit of rocket on the side and a dip. Cowboy Burgers honestly... Disappointed, small cheap buggers swallowed in a soft untoasted cheap bun, limp lettuce and a small strip of soft bacon.. Chips were good though Burger king do so it so much better and cheaper..

Another great eating experience at The Watermill. Couldn’t fault the food and friendly service. Great pint of Guiness also 😀. Use regularly and would highly recommend

Great almost hidden gem in the Welsh countryside. A warm and friendly welcome made us feel at ease. A gluten free menu was given to me by a happy waitress and both she and the barman had good knowledge of the menu and able to answer my queries. Prompt service at good prices. Beer battered fish n chips looked great formy partner. Great gluten free apple crumble which was big enough share. Great location and clean. Beer garden needs attention and fixing up, a couple of hours would do it plus some plants that aren't weeds!!

Well situated pub restaurant with ample car parking. Decent walks to the coast and Sand dunes nearby. Varied mid range menu. Food promptly served and to good standard. Good views of visiting bird life (sometimes) from car park and windows. Well appointed outdoor seating. Can get busy.

Absolutely splendid experience down at the watermill today! We stumbled across this gem of a place whilst heading towards the beach (only 5 minutes from the pub!). The staff were nothing but accommodating, and the traditional pub food was delicious! The pub backed a lush field, full of horses, stunning when the sun is setting. Would recommend the steak & ale pie with a drink for £12.50 on Mondays!

I took my elderly mother for lunch, She is disabled,and the facility’s were readily accessible however could with an upgraded. We had a roast dinner that was superb Our young waitress Helen was lovely she was very accommodating nothing was to much trouble for her. Singing as she worked which was an absolute pleasure We had a lovely family experience we will definitely be returning

Stopped for a Sunday lunch. Staff were all very friendly and pub was clean and tidy. I had the roast beef dinner and wife had the Turkey both meals we cooked to perfection and very good value for money. Noticed they also cater for motorhome stop overs so will definitely be returning.

Went to the Watermill yesterday and what can I say? The staff were very helpful and very friendly, very considerate and careful with my partner’s allergy. Food was absolutely delicious, I had a mixed grill and it was so delicious I had it twice! I should’ve gone for the mega mixed grill. Definitely will be returning and will be bringing family!! Credit to the staff for making our experience as pleasant as possible!

Constantly busy at all times of the week, so whether if it is quiet or busy, please book ahead, to stifle disappointment.

Service was quick and excellent. Probably the best chicken burger I've ever had. Delicious desserts on offer. Bathroom was small but very clean. Staff were all very friendly.

Stopped off for lunch...decided on fish & chips...a mistake. Presentation good but fish almost non existent ! A hard more than crisp batter covering the smallest fish I have ever seen .

Good food as always, service slow but that was due to understaffing. Disappointing that I was told that the Taste Card was no longer valid there even though I had it loaded to my card within half an hour of arriving.

Lovely food, atmosphere and setting

Came here after seeing how busy it was on a weekend we couldn't get in so thought wow we need to try this can't say the food is anything more than Iceland specials. Breaded mushrooms and chicken wings had zero taste, my other half also doubled up on his chips but oddly I had more on my normal portion. My veggie burger had zero taste and all you could taste was the cheese sauce. Our garlic bread was given to another table and when a replacement arrived it was 3 slices of nuked hot bread. We had desert other half asked for apple pie with icecream and was brought custard nice suprised to be served desert by the chef as clearly not enough staff ;) or attentive staff. Glad were only on holiday and not local as would pay £60 for a meal for 2 when everything's from the frozen section of Iceland..

Awful since new ownership . The park has gone , tables weren’t clean and service poor due to very few staff . We won’t be returning. We used to come for special occasions and today my grandson was 5 . Disappointed .

We were visiting relatives and took them out for lunch. Staff were lovely but the venue was tired.

Lovely pub on the way to Ogmore by sea. Beautiful surroundings and a large beer garden. Was very short staffed when we went so a large queue for the bar to order

Rude misgendering by mature bar staff with wrong pronouns. Mash not great but rest of food nice though. Young staff were very nice and polite. Marsdon pub, so middle to high price for food. Meal was for 3 adults, starters, main meall no desserts 4 beers one cokesToilets shabby with broken toilet roll hoders. Can't even give a capital letter for your name on reply.

Shut when it was supposed to be open I was there at 11.30 am¡

If you suffer from FOMO get yourself down to The Watermill: From the moment you arrive you will feel the exceptionally warm welcome, bursting with a great atmosphere and wonderful views of an endless field bursting with wildlife and some pretty happy horses. Then as you peruse the menu knowing everything will be delicious and promptly delivered there is absolutely nothing not to like. The seating areas, both inside and out are both comfortable and clean along with the bathroom facilities. Relaxing outside in the sunshine last weekend with a few drinks and a delicious steak was a true treat and honestly can’t wait to visit again. The landlord Rob and his staff will greet you with a genuinely warm and happy welcome so as I said, if you don’t want to miss out, get yourselves down to Ogmore for your next trip out., you won’t be disappointed and will be planning your next visit even before you leave.

We love the food and scenery. Sunday dinners are huge, and such good quality for the price. We love that we can bring our dog to you. The beer garden is ideal because you have separated the smokers from non-smokers, which is really considerate. We live half an hour away but try to come here at least once a month.

Lovely friendly place after a long walk

Turned away staring pub was full and no space at the bar to either even though other customers were arriving. This was the personal experience we received. Unable to comment on food/drink. Safe to say we will not return.

On the way back from Saudersfoot. Decided to pop in for a drink. What a dissapointment. Every table outside full of dirty glasses. Rubbish blowing around the outside area. Had to clear a table myself to sit at. Had to pay £14 for 2 drinks for the privalidge £8.50 in saundersfoot. No one cleatd the tables while we were there. Paint peeling off outside woodwork and last summers flowers still in plantpots. Have used this pub regularly over the years, wont be going back.

Could not fault anything about our visit food was brilliant and the staff were absolutely outstanding from entering to exit. So attentive all during visit and smiling every time they spoke to us at the bar and table. Makes a lovely change to be treated like they care .

We went for Mother's Day Sunday lunch. From the minute we arrived we had a warm welcome. Absolutely wonderful service. Drinks were quickly brought by Ann who was outstanding. Iona took our order and she was also warm and very helpful. Our food was beautiful. Really great Sunday roast which was enjoyed by us all. We will be back. We loved it and could not fault the service. Thank you all for a lovely meal and a warm welcome.

Amazing food and amazing service from everyone especially rob the manager and Ann the waitress. Took my mam and daughter here today for Mother’s Day and the food was outstanding and the staff couldn’t do enough for us. Ann was so lovely and so friendly and attentive. Rob was quick serving us drinks and we weren’t waiting long at all for the food. We don’t go out very often but places like this make it more than worthwhile and we will definitely be back soon. Thank you everyone at the water mill for a great meal and great service.

Iona who was the waitress who looked after us was brilliant. She really made our time there special. She was attentive, friendly, helpful and went above and beyond in looking after us. What a special person she is. The place was clean and has a good menu. Loads of parking space. Lovely seating area outside.

It was nice day, so we ordered food for outside. A lady who work there came out and stated they weren't serving outside. Which is fine. Maybe put a sign up stating this. As it clearly says on the tabel order from the qr code. When we went in you could hear the staff complaining stating we should know with no menus out. Ummm we arent mind readers. Maybe make your customers more aware and not bad mouth people coming into the pub. Also maybe remove the sign outside saying order from the qr codes from the table.

Friendly, attentive and caring staff with a local vibe. We arrived at 2.30pm today with 5 teens abd 4 adults. From the moment we arrived staff were friendly and helpful. We ordered 5 fish and chips, meals along with other dishes and asked that one of them only had the fish and chips with no peas. It was really important as my daughter has sensory processing disorder. The dish arrived with tartar sauce. We'd forgotten to mention not to include it and it was in the plate rather than in a side dish. I quickly grabbed it and went towards the bar. Before I even got to the bar a gentleman asked if everything was ok. He was very friendly and instantly took the dish saying he'd sort it straight away. I didn't have to over explain he was on it. It was a relaxing lunch with and staff were super friendly. Thanks for your hospitality!

Perfect lunch spot! Found a table for us on a busy Sunday, waitresses were both super attentive & couldn’t do enough for us. Bar staff were also friendly & the food was delicious!

Had a great dinner with great staff even Alfie our dog was made to feel welcome and we stayed in our campervan overnight. Will definitely be back
