The best restaurants serving British food in South East

This place is always busy, which is a testament to how lovely the food is, the staff are super friendly and the prices are great. It's a lovely area to go for a drive and pop in here and have a really nice bite to eat, or even just to pop in to grab a nice hot our cold drink, definitely recommend. You can sit outside in the lovely weather or keep warm inside on a cool day.

Traditional pub with amazing landlady. Very friendly and welcoming. Great Sunday roast. Large space inside and garden outside. Would go again.

brilliant place come here for my brakes at college for a little snack and i could never complain i recommend the loaded chips for a quick snack

We stoped here for a couple of drinks before our meal at the Everest Spice. First of all we felt very relaxed and the drinks were crisp and clean. The ambience was great and the staff were chatty and pleasant. Only problem was my wife found the toilets to be dark and unwelcoming. The rest of the bar was great.

We were celebrating our daughter’s birthday and hired private room, team were amazing. Nothing was too much trouble, staff were very patience and great with our grandchildren. Food was amazing 🤩

Great first time . Second time not so good. Cold meals served up. One meals meat grisly Not cheap so one would expect better.

Great food great friendly service. They made a small error 0n our order but quickly rectified it. When we went to pay for the bill they never charged us for our drinks as a good will jesture. We then mentioned that we would be back later for some pasties. They gave us a card and told us to ring them before hand so they could warm them up. We rang and When we got there our order was ready I cannot recommend them enough .they offer a range of different foods not just your normal run of the mill breakfasts . Thanks to all the staff ,the best service I have received in a while,e a credit to you all

Good airy place. Excellent food.

So disappointed. I'm sure we've had great fish and chips here in the past but not this time. Our large fish was tiny and cold and the chips were like half cold oven chips. Exorbitant prices too.

We often like to venture out for a Sunday roast & had been meaning to come to the courtyard for months after seeing their instagram. The setting of the restaurant is truly unique & felt so cosy. The staff were all very welcoming especially Rachael who looked after us. The roast dinner was an absolute 10/10! 4 adults, 3 kids, 7 clean plates. Love the options for adding extra potatoes, pigs in blankets etc. We all had different meats & have said when we go back we will get the sharing roast as they all looked delicious. It really was faultless & we cannot wait to return.

Wont come back here again strange guy here, and others. Well glad they have gone, and the guy lost his job there, dread to think what he will be like elsewhere.

Went there as had an amazing time few years ago so decided to go for a birthday meal had no wine that was asked for then another one choose and didn’t have that either 3 time was lucky they had it but turn up was worst’s wine ever with odd size glasses and was dirty so we decided to up and leave after speaking to stuff got to of been one of the worst place I’ve been to do not go came home got a mc Donald’s ruin the night
