Oh dear, how disappointing it was when my friends really hyped this place up. The breakfast was close to warm, poached eggs, they had been poached so long they were brick hard. Cold bacon, cold mushrooms. As for the team yes you guessed it, cold !!!!. Then when you pay, even though I shared a pot of tea, we all got charged for a pot of tea !!, even though we only had a coffee cup of tea each.

3 of us went for lunch and what a lovely time we had. We were greeted very warmly & took a seat in the cosy restaurant. Our drinks orders were taken quickly & then the lady came for our food requirements. Everything that we ate was delicious, well presented & extremely tasty. Afterwards we had tea & coffee & as the coffee machine was not working they were all complimentary, how kind. Our experience was totally relaxing, the ambience in the whole pub was so welcoming & the staff cannot do enough to help you. Absolutely superb, we were all very impressed and will be returning as soon as we can. Thank you to all the team, I very rarely say things were perfect, but this certainly was.

Regular customers here. I personally tried the new coley & chips deal for £7.50, great value. Delicious fish, but the chips were disappointing. They were dry and I felt had likely been refried or were hanging around for a while. Overall everyone was happy with their Friday fish & chips.

To be honest I had no real idea of what The Bell would be like when I booked it. The location was convenient for a function we were attending elsewhere. What a revelation, this place is amazing. You have to consider that the "project " is ongoing, but this doesn't impact on anything. The standards are great. Service, welcome and the whole experience was amazing. While entering the bedroom, the standard of which it had been decorated and furnished to was just way above what you could have expected. Only down side was that we were only staying the one night.

This is a nice pub with friendly staff. We visited for a light lunch. My husband had the £15 deli lunch of moules and frites with a drink. It was a starter portion size, with decent sized mussels and nice hot fries. The sauce was a bit bland, but on the whole it was value for money with a pint of been included in the price. I had the crab croquettes. These were two large mashed potato croquettes with parsley but I couldn't see or taste any crab whatsoever. The potato was very dry and crumbly, and thank goodness for the aioli. I had assumed it would be a hot dish, but it was barely warm. We were sitting a matter of feet from the bar area, and although the table next to us had a check back about their food, we weren't asked at all. My starter was £9, but I didn't think this was value for money and was very disappointed with the quality and lack of crab. We would try elsewhere next time.

Trading boundaries has a magic from the moment you walk through the door. It's a family run business and they make you feel special. The ambience is fantastic, with so much to feast your eyes on. It tantalises all your senses, with the lights, decor, beautiful food and Jazz music. Its everything you could ask in a place and more.
