Fantastic new chef, well worth a visit. Great staff and clean and tidy. The pub is great for meeting friends or just a meal with your partner.

Pre booked A table for Mother’s Day @ 2.00pm, we had to pre order, no problem with that, we arrived 10 mins early so we could have a drink, only to be advised that our table was not ready, ok no problem, it transpired that the landlord of the pub was still at the table with his guests. We were sat approximately 20 mins later and our main course arrived some 35 minutes later, although we had as I said pre ordered. Some veg cooked some not, very underwhelmed. We were asked if we would like to see the dessert menu, which we said yes, and then the waitresses said sorry we have sold out of desserts as we have been very busy, it’s bloody Mother’s Day you should be busy! Only ice cream available, absolutely shocking, never again. So in a nutshell, pre booked, pre ordered, and still do poor. On the bright side the young staff with no leadership whatsoever did their best.

Hungry and tired from a long day of driving it was good to find a nice pub that was open and doing food on a Tuesday night in February. Friendly young bar staff looked after us extremely well and food was promptly served to us at the table. A minor problem was very quickly, efficiently and courteously corrected. The food was excellent and clearly cooked on site, in fact I would go further and suggest I had the best rib eye steak that I can remember eating. Highly recommend this pub

Lovely atmosphere and great food, reasonably priced for what we had and if we lived nearer we could definitely be back but sadly we live four hours away. Should we find ourselves anywhere near this will be our place to go

We had a lovely Sunday Lunch here. Both had nice starters and brilliant Sunday roast. Beautiful surroundings and very reasonably priced..Would definitely recommend. Will definitely visit when in the neighbourhood again. Thankyou

Were looking for some where for Sunday lunch after a morning visit to Thruxton circuit and this looked good, reviews were very mixed as either 2 or 5 stars … We arrived early and weren’t expecting to find them open but we were greeted and made welcome like we were regulars .. nice atmosphere and lovely and cosy. Their roast is traditional (as in nothing fancy just good honest food) and better than we could have hoped, they offer small, medium and large plates… god knows what the large looks like as the medium was huge and great value .. staff were fantastic and so good to find a proper pub that serves propped food at very reasonable prices … Yes we will be going back ..

This was a handy find near to Thruxton circuit. All three of us had a large Sunday roast but all different meat choice. All three of us said this was the best pub roast we have ever had. We will certainly be returning Thank you

My partner and I came on the 5/11/23. Both ordered large roasts and were not disappointed! The food is absolutely delicious and the portion was huge! Lovely meat and the roasties were lovely!! Service was a slight miss but that won’t detour us from coming again. Really good food for really good value. ( large roast was £15?) definitely worth it.

booked the table for the family.. but when we turnned up they don’t have any food or something.. they made us to wait outside for 30 minutes and not even offer a table to seat and wait.. even when we have kids with us.. never recommend it after such poor service when no one even welcomed us n give us a table.. have to leave the pub after waiting for more than 30 minutes and go somewhere else.. even when we booked it in well advance.. 🙄

Sunday lunch was presented well . Tasted lovely but the beef was so tough I couldn't eat it . When asked (twice) how was the meal was no one apologised or showed any interest . Disappointing to what could have been a fabulous meal.

Tried as there has been a big push on social media about this place recently. Pre sliced meat, bought in roast potatoes and hard vegetables. I think this is more of a microwave deal than a proper cooked meal. Decor/furniture a little tired, one bland artwork obviously hung upside down... and think could do with doing up the 'entrance' off the car park. Everyone pretty much enters this way but not very welcoming or clear its the way in for the restaurant. All in all a shame as we were looking for somewhere to add to the rotation of pubs for food.

A delicious dinner here this evening with Mum . We both had garlic stilton mushrooms to start which was served with warm bread. This was followed by the partridge with sage mash, broccoli and a delicious jus. Mum had fish and chips which came with peas, tartare and a side salad. Good portions. Fresh. Tasty. And a great range of wine to choose from. All reasonably priced. The service was warm, friendly and efficient. A great spot for a Friday night dinner. Will be back.

We stopped off for some dinner on Tuesday night. We recieved a warm, friendly welcome from the blonde lady behind the bar, I think I caught her name as Clare but i could be wrong. The chap showed us to our table, handed us menus and took our drinks order promptly with good humour. Our food was delicious, piping hot and plenty of it - my husband particularly loved the belly pork.. cooked to absolute perfection. The chap was attentive and came back to check if we had everything we needed. A fantastic little pub with friendly chatty staff, not robots behind the bar like we have had before in some other pubs. We look forward to visiting again!

A huge disappointment. The place was almost empty apart from one old man at the bar with his even older spaniel. After about five minutes, a man in a t-shirt with "staff" on he back appeared and said "Yes?" We asked about lunch and were told it was being served - "Pick up a menu as you go through". It was tipping down outside or we would have left then, but we risked it. Every single thing on the menu was obviously microwaved, and there was no smell of food, no welcome, no chef or other staff unless you count the chap who switched the microwave on and off,no other customers except four bikers who only ate vast quantities of chips,and when our (completely under cooked) whitebait arrived it wasn't even hot. We were both ill afterwards, This has been for years and years the most wonderful pub and restaurant, our go-to place for cosseting and comfort, and it was my husband's 80th birthday. If you are anther former regular, we would urge you to think again.

This was our 3rd visit to the White Horse, disappointed with our meal. My girlfriend had a steak & ale pie which was overdone difficult to cut through with a knife and fork , the vegetables were over cooked , mushy and lost a bit of colour, possibly reheated. The potatoes were difficult to slice through being hard. The portions were generous but the veg was substandard in taste and quality reminded me of bland canteen food from the 1970’s. My burger was a bit overdone slightly difficult to cut but other wise fine. Good portion of chip’s and salad This was Ok but average. Service was friendly and would like to come back again but need dramatic improvement on meals. We have had much better meals here previously

Excellent! One of the best Sunday dinners we’ve had as a family, highly recommended, friendly staff, very accommodating, and the food was fantastic!

Awful, couldn't do food cause they had a party of 10 ............ not at all a friendly place to, bad service from beginning to end and made up prices for drinks . we had the same drink and it was a different price each time (3 drinks)

Good food, service and atmosphere. We were impressed with the high quality of service,and variety of food on offer. The restraunt was buzzing and nice and warm. Garlic spicy prawns were scrummy,main course beautifully presented.

Si estás interesado en pub inglés sirve platos de calidad en porciones generosas, junto con un servicio atento, entonces este pub del siglo 14 paja del siglo XVI, está sin duda vale la pena una visita. El sensato menú limitado ofrece algunos platos interesantes y la verdad es que la comida se encuentra con expectativas incluyendo una buena elección de los asados del domingo. Los vinos están bien elegidas y los vinos franceses de la casa son una buena relación calidad-precio. La concurrida a veces así que reserva es esencial, particularmente en los fines de semana. Beautiful 15th century thatched pub serving real ales and excellent food. They have a large garden, ideal for families. The only downside is the location, next to and below the motorway

We went with friends on a Groupon voucher and was delighted to find we could choose from both menus. The atmosphere was friendly, service excellent and you could not fault the food. Would well recommend.

Lo encontramos gracias a Trip Advisor y qué linda encontrar. Queríamos un bonito y viejo pub tradicional traer nuestro estudiante de intercambio en la manera de Stonehenge y cumplía todos los requisitos. La comida es buenísima, especialmente el helado, que viene en una larga lista de sabores. El personal es amable. Nos encantó.

Fantastic find, well actually for the past 30 years been passing it and today saw the man walking along the A303 advertising it. We had two lovely meals, the staff were fantastic and nice traditional interior.

Para encontrar esta bella y pequeña pieza de arquitectura de Hampshire tienes que ir fuera de la A303 en Thruxton o demás Únicamente volar! Originalmente fue debido a trabajos de demolición cuando la a303 construía pero algunos visionario comprado por una fracción de su valor y ha convertido en un muy exitoso restaurante, que está literalmente a segundos de la A303 y está casi debajo del paso elevado, así que el lugar ideal para detenerse y conseguir algunos refrescos cuando viajo y mucho mejor que un little chef!!!

Me fui con mi marido para la cena. El pub estaba muy acogedor y personal muy amable. La camarera era muy conocedor de las selecciones distintas en el menú, sugiriendo alternativas. Tuve la gallina de Guinea y mi marido tenía el cordero. Ambos están excepcionalmente bueno. La salsa peppercorn era delicioso.

En el camino de vuelta de Stonehenge (10 minutos en coche) paramos en este pub y no nos decepcionó. Hay un bonito jardín en la parte de atrás, que es genial para los niños y el interior es acogedor. La comida era deliciosa, ojalá pudiera recordar lo que mi padre tenía, era un pan tostado con salsa de hongos y creo que bacon y dijo que era increíble. Es un viejo pub inglés en el campo de experiencia con la casa y la decoración paja y nos alegramos lo vimos por debajo del paso elevado en el camino a Stonehenge inicialmente.

Celebramos mis tías 90° en el Caballo blanco. Éramos un grupo grande con niños pequeños. La comida estaba bien presentada y raciones eran de un tamaño generoso. favoritos incluido el aperitivo de gambas al ajillo y la deliciosa carne asada con todos los adornos. Hay un atractivo jardín donde nos sentamos en el sol para el café después de la cena.

Metimos aquí para el almuerzo como el sol brillaba y he conducido pasado sin visitar muchas veces, aunque una visita fue durante debido.

La comida es absolutamente fantástica y no se puede quejar, pero el servicio es otra cosa.

No sé cuando la revisión sobre los "excelentes" tartas fue escrito, pero mi experiencia reciente producido la más horrible bistec y tarta de riñón que me he encontrado, y saborear una buena S & K tarta! Un lone, encantador, camarera, al final se sirve la comida - tras esperar 10 minutos por el menú, seguido de esperar 20 minutos por la comida, pero el pastel era un desastre secado del vacuno de viscosa rematado por una tortilla a medio pieza de bollería. Driving from Salisbury to London we noticed a gentleman walking along the side of the motorway with a sign advertising the white horse. Intrigued we decided to stop. A delightful thatched roofed inn with low ceilings. Staff efficient & the food tasty. Would recommend

We often travel the 303 and like to have a meal on route. The White Horse has become our most favoured as the food is excellent. The pies are fantastic and on a good day we can sit in the garden.

When the manager came out and said its the best food in England, she wasn't far wrong. The food, service accommodation was amazing.

Staying in the local village of Thruxton was recommended this pub. Sat in beer garden which was lovely and sampled the Fish and Chips and a cold pint. Was nice place to sit, chat and chill out.

Hemos comido en el White Horse varias veces y me pareció bastante bueno, así que el fin de semana mi pareja y yo estuvimos allí para una cena en nuestro camino a casa de un evento al que asistieron en Hampshire. Ambos nos eligió sopa para empezar que en esta ocasión fue castaño hongos y jerez. Estábamos bastante decepcionados cuando llegamos ya que no había pan o cualquier cosa sirve, es sólo un tazón de sopa, y ambos nos sentimos muy hambriento. Además, una vez que hayamos probado, nos pareció que no había sido sazonada y sabía suave. No hubo ningún condimentos en la mesa y mi pareja tenía que ir y pedir sal y pimienta que mejoró el sabor de la sopa considerablemente pero nos habría gustado tener un acompañamiento. Elegí gallina de Guinea para el principal, que era muy agradable, pero no tienen una textura bastante duro. No haber comido gallina de Guinea antes de que yo no estaba seguro de si era demasiado cocido o simplemente la manera en la que pasa a ser, pero que no disfrute del plato y mi pareja disfrutó su principal. También disfrutaron nuestros postres, tuve una crema de café expreso brulée mi compañero y yo helado. Debo decir, no obstante, no extras con ellos. Por ejemplo, no había quebradiza o cualquier tipo de decoración con el flan y el helado tenía nada (una oblea o Biscuit quizás) o decoración de cualquier tipo. Creo que si el White Horse es el marketing en sí como un pub ¿El reflujo gastroesofágico puede con precios acordes, entonces debe pagar un poco más atención a los detalles.

Just off the A303, lookout for the man walking the dual carriageway with the sandwich board advertising it, he deserves a drink and got one! Beautiful building and gardens. Welcoming staff. Great food.

Los desayunos de John fueron en un tiempo para adaptarse a nosotros.[ Incluso me hizo croquetas de patata ir con mi vegetariano; .] cena de desayuno era super con una amplia variedad para elegir, la lubina era maravilloso y el fondant de chocolate para chuparse los dedos. Went to the White Horse on Saturday at short notice. Very full but warmly welcomed and fitted in. Food excellent as always.

Fuimos a este restaurante en una oferta de Groupon, que nos dio cuatro dos platos para llevar con vino por 50 libras. Habíamos tenido que cancelar un par de veces a causa de una enfermedad pero el personal del restaurante había sido muy amables que nos habían sido capaces de ampliar el período vales. Fuimos con expectativas ya que no habíamos oído hablar del restaurante antes y había leído críticas. El enfoque del edificio no es genial: es difícil encontrar la entrada principal, la puerta fuimos tenía la mesa estaba oxidada y barriles fuera, pero una vez dentro de la atmósfera es muy cálido y amable, y los asientos cómodos y relajantes. Yo tenía cordero culata que era magnífico, muy bien preparado y servido con una selección de vegetales; delicioso! Todos estuvimos tentados de añadir un desierto- Apple crumble ruibarbo y casera con crema pastelera; delito brûlée; chocolate fondant con coulis y frambuesa Pistachio ice cream-absolutamente maravilloso.

Food was amazing! Reasonable choice and fair prices for the quality of the food. It's a very busy place so parking can be a nightmare but we went in the evening so it may be different earlier in the day. Will definitely go back.

Food was very good as always. I had the sea bass which was tasty and well cooked the others had fish and chips and the chips were fabulous. The service was friendly but very slow today.

Comimos aquí recientemente, y disfrutamos mucho de la experiencia. Necesitábamos un sitio que no nos importó perros, y estaban encantados de satisfacer que, llevando un cuenco de agua en el jardín en donde nos sentamos para el almuerzo.

Acabamos de regresar de pasar dos noches de unas vacaciones estupendas en este antiguo Inn paja preciosa. Un hermoso edificio en un precioso entorno. Nuestra bienvenida fue inmediata y genuina. La señorita nos mostró a la habitación, que estaba limpia luminoso ambiente cálido y de buen tamaño con vistas al jardín. El pub es con vigas y acogedor, varias áreas de descanso para elegir. Disfrutamos de una bebida en el jardín esa tarde antes de salir a una edad preescolar "Hablar organizada" en Andover. . Dormimos muy bien nuestro desayuno de la mañana siguiente era delicioso mejores productos y nada demasiado problema, café realmente bueno. Nuestro anfitrión, gerente y chef era una de las más hospitalarias que te puedas encontrar, australiano por nacimiento buen humor, muy interesante y muy muy auténtico. Comimos en este descubrimiento fantástico en nuestra última noche, una idea muy sensible. La comida era de primera categoría, el personal es muy atento y a un muy buen ambiente. El último desayuno era genial huevos revueltos y salmón ahumado, guau. Así que 10/10 caballos blancos, y gracias por hacer que nuestra demasiado cortas vacaciones memorables y le desea a usted y a los suyos la mejor.

Nos alojamos aquí por una noche 24/5/2015 y comimos en el restaurante.Aquí está mi crítica sincera.

Went here this evening for a birthday meal as have been before and really enjoyed it. Had another delicious meal with friendly service but unfortunately our evening was marred by the presence of a large and extremely loud group of revelling men :(

Finalmente parado hoy aquí para almorzar después de haber conducido pasado su señal en la a303 innumerables veces. También estaba en la lista de restaurantes en mi tarjeta de sabor. No nos decepcionó. El restaurante es encantador y acogedor, y el jardín parecía fantástico para relajarse en el sol. mi marido eligió la gran porción de cordero asado y yo decidimos probar la lubina. platos deliciosos y mi marido estaba especialmente sorprendido por la maravillosa menta medusas. Para el postre fuimos para una fondant de chocolate negro con coulis de frambuesa y crema con aioli hielo y un café flan. El fondant estaba cocinado a la perfección y el flan era un con sabor a café sedosa polenta sueño. No cabe duda de que volveremos.

Mi pareja y yo encontramos este restaurante por casualidad mientras viajábamos casa de un viaje. El servicio era fantástico y todo el personal era muy amable y profesional. La comida era increíble! De lejos, uno de los mejores lugares que hemos comido. El bistec estaba delicioso. Es una pena que no está tan lejos de donde vivimos, o comer allí todo el tiempo.

A specioal family celebratory lunch, normally go there for dinner. As always, first rate food, wine and service. The pork belly was out of this world in both taste and presentation. Well done the home team!

15th century thatched pub, with a great atmosphere, friendly waiting staff and delishdelous menu. Something for all ages and tastes, veggies, kids, grannies!(no you don't eat them!) Decent sized garden for kids 'n' dogs to romp in.

Tuvimos una comida y agradable velada con nuestra hija menor y su socio. La comida siempre es buena en el Caballo blanco. También el almuerzo allí cada pocas semanas con amigos y nunca he tenido nada pero una buena comida. El personal es siempre amable y nada es demasiado problema.

Pero tenía una excelente comida en el White Horse, nunca me ha decepcionado por la comida que se sirve aquí, agradable ambiente acogedor restaurante encantador. No me puedo quejar las comidas que hemos comido allí, merece la pena visitarlo si quieres buena comida, el queso soufflé entrante es precioso y el café creme brulée es tan buena que podría haber comido allí de nuevo.Tómese tiempo para dar este pub.

Buena comida, precios razonables, vino excelente! En un pub inglés paja por excelencia! Vale la pena una visita en un día de lluvia fría puede acurrucarse junto al fuego tiro un tronco o dos! Simplemente encantador ... Si lo que quieres es la "experiencia inglesa de pub " venga aquí!

Nos detuvimos aquí para el almuerzo por pura casualidad y no sabía qué esperar. Estamos tan contentos que hicimos parada - nos sentimos muy bienvenidos por amable pero profesional personal. La comida era estupenda y el tamaño de las porciones no son demasiado grandes o pequeñas. El ambiente era muy relajado pero 'correcto' - nos gusta eso y no creo que es fácil de alcanzar. Realmente me gusta mi Sauvignon muy fría y el frío vaso fue un buen detalle. Muy recomendable.

Una tarde San Valentín cena para dos - nuestra 49 th. Las vieiras eran excepcionales, la gallina de Guinea excelente, la lubina fuera de este mundo. La crema de café brulée era algo fuera de este mundo. Todas encaladas rewardingly australiano de Pinot gris - el más caro, pero vale la pena cada centavo. Las camareras eran, muy agradable, cortés y atento.

Este pub y restaurante es tristemente oculto desde la A303 principal y se puede perder. Por suerte, sé donde está y normalmente descanso nuestro viaje de Cornwall para una bebida de bienvenida y almuerzo. Visited on a Monday lunchtime. The restaurant was bright and comfortable. The menu had something for everyone and the food was freshly cooked and served very quickly. We would not hesitate to recommend this Inn to other people.

Encontramos este lugar por casualidad en la ruta a Somerset, paramos para almorzar. Tenía muy poco tiempo y explicado, un hombre joven que nos sirvió fue muy atento y la comida fue servido con prontitud. Comimos en el bar más que en el restaurante, pero podía elegir cualquier menú. El queso de cabra y tarta de cebolla caramelised era muy sabroso aunque me alegré de tener ordenados delgado patatas fritas en el lado como la tarta no era muy abundante. Como otros lo groupon, fui en un jueves noche, y fue agradable y tranquila, precioso hotel y decoración de buen gusto.

We booked a Saturday lunch and were shown to a delightful table overlooking the garden. The restaurant wasn't busy, but the bar was buzzing with locals. I haven't been here for several years and the ambience and service are much better than I remember when it was under different management. Our food was delicious, the wine delightfully chilled, and it's good to have a bottle of water on the table without having to ask. I had salt and chilli squid to start, followed by cod wrapped in prosciutto with garlic mash, and it was fabulous. Nothing was too much trouble and it was nice to see a couple of tables occupied by single ladies; a sure sign of how welcoming The White Horse is. We will definitely be back, and I'll be trying a relaxing lunch on my own very soon.

Ocurrió que paso y vimos la señal. Teníamos la carne asada y el abadejo, tanto con la sopa. Todo estaba bien preparado y el asado se habían alcanzado recientemente tallados a mano. El budín de Yorkshire, fue demasiado fresco para mi gusto, pero eso es un detalle. El edificio tiene carácter y el servicio era bueno, así que volvería a ir. Yo nunca averiguar si se espera una propina. No vi ninguna mención de los cargos de servicio y cuando se paga con tarjeta salir de la puerta la opción de añadir una propina no aparecen.

Esta fue nuestra segunda visita en el White Horse, y nuestra segunda visita fue tan buena como la primera.

Una segunda visita, mi inicial fue con un grupo de amigas para el almuerzo de domingo (el mejor que he probado en la zona). Última noche mi marido y yo llevamos a mis padres para la cena. Me llama con anticipación para reservar pero no tuvimos suerte, Topamos con un paseo. A nuestra llegada nos quedamos un poco desalentado porque el restaurante estaba vacía y, sin embargo, la camarera todavía tenía que pedir la cocina si podíamos estar sentado ... Extraño y no comenzar la noche. Sin embargo después de un sí del chef y un navegar en el menú simple y sofisticado que eran totalmente encantados. Tan pronto como mi esposa entramos en la zona de bar, una camarera en pocos segundos y ella dijo que recibieron una mesa estaría lista en un unos cinco minutos (que estaba muy ocupado -buena señal! ). Cuando ambos fuimos en la misma camarera reconoció mi esposa en una vez y nos mostró una mesa. y con buen ánimo y eficientemente se aseguró de que fuésemos cómoda y llevamos nuestros pedidos para las bebidas. El otro miembro del personal era deliciosamente igual y sirve muy bien. La comida era excelente. Una buena elección y bien preparada y presentada. Disfrutamos mucho de nuestra experiencia en el restaurante, que estaba decorado y amueblado con buen gusto. No dudaría en recomendar El White Horse a otros.

If you are passing on the A303 strongly suggest you drop into the White Horse just off turning for Thruxton / East Cholderton, delicious fresh home cooked food, good wine , lovely service , if your after Chi Chi leave that behind you, if you want a relaxing old pub with freindly staff & great food then it's well worth a visit!

We called in for light evening meal, and were able to order entrees only which were delicious. We were treated with respect and the service was very good. Nothing was too much trouble. We drink very little, but we would certainly use the White Horse again when we are passing.Try the wonderful banana tarte tatin.

We stopped for lunch at the White Horse on the way back from Devon. The food is good, but our overwhelming feeling was an uncomfortableness with an establishment that asks an old man to walk up and down such a busy road for two hours everyday holding a sign to advertise the pub. I've seen this on my travels in developing countries where exploitation is the norm, but never in the UK and especially in an upmarket restaurant. He has no face mask or ear protectors and quite honestly its humiliating. We were told 'he quite likes it and gets a glass of wine' but this didn't make us feel any better. Its a shame because otherwise its a good stop over and good food.

Visited a few time en route to In-Laws in Glastonbury. Volume of cars in the car park almost put us off this time. Table for 2 plus dog in the pub bit. Top crackling belly pork & fine Moroccan Lamb pie Attentive & friendly service & biscuit for the dog. Very nice!

We called in for lunch on the way home from Devon at about one o' clock on a Monday. The waitress said she would check if we could be accommodated for lunch and went into the kitchen to consult. She came back and said they didn't have a table for two in the restaurant but we could sit in the bar. We noticed the restaurant was far from full but agreed and she showed us to the bar, which was empty and much less appealing than the restaurant. While we were looking at the menu, another group of three customers arrived (they had been parking their camper van as we came in). We were surprised to see they were offered a table in the main restaurant. When the waitress returned to take our order we said we weren't impressed with their seating policy. She agreed it was strange, but confirmed that the menu, and the pricing, was the same in the bar as in the restaurant. We decided to cut our losses and retired to the new pub up the road.

Being regular travellers to Dorset (from Essex), we pass Thruxton on the A303 heading home. We have often seen the man with the sandwich boards looking cold and lonely as he walks up and down advertising the White Horse Inn, and this time we decided to stop for lunch on our way home from a lovely week in Dorset.We were not disapppointed. The service was very friendly and enthusiastic, and the food was something else. I was lucky enough to nab the last Steak & Kidney Pie available on that particular day, and served with thick cut chips and green beans, it was one of the best pies I have ever had.Fantastic lunch, great service, and lovely surroundings which, looking at the full tables, is extremely popular.

We ordered the large Sunday lunch at £14.95 each and for what was brought out it has to be said "Really poor quality" the amount of food there to be considered as the large was a joke. Don't go there if your hungry or if you don't mind paying a lot for a little then go for it.

When the A303 was built, this pub could have been lost, the road runs literally right past it, and it is above roof-top height. However walking across the car park I could detect little traffic noise. There are tables on the lawn, but we went inside, so I'm not sure what it would be like outside. Inside is cosy and beamed, with a large restaurant area. A good range of beers, an excellent bar-man, who despite the pub being quite full, remembered our drinks when we went back for the second round. The menus are not large, one for the restaurant and one for the bar, but mixing is fine. There is a specials board, the chef is Australian, and Kangaroo features on the menu. The food is good, well presented, portions are reasonable, and the wine list is also good and reasonably priced. Service is good, and friendly.
