We thought we would try Frankie’s and drove all the way from Woodchurch. We ordered two lattes mine was decaf and “Two mixed spice and cranberry warm scones with lemon curd and clotted cream.” as described on the cake board that we were shown. Sounded wonderful! We received our coffees, mine was tepid so I went to the counter returned it and asked for it to be HOT. The coffee came and was ok. Then the scones were bought over, together with what had been described on the cake board as “clotted cream.” The scones were like two bricks, stone cold, no lemon curd ! So again I went back to the counter and told the lady. She came over and took them back. A little while later she returned with the scones and “lemon curd.” I asked her if they had been warmed and was told yes. We found them to be slightly warm and easier to cut into, unlike the two bricks we received before. However the so called lemon curd was yellow runny custard like liquid and barely noticeably orange!! The so called clotted cream was in a little pot and was quite obviously the squirty cream you buy in cans. It was airy and sweet. I know what clotted cream looks like, it has a completely different texture and has no added sweetener. I have to say our first experience of this place will be our one and only. We won’t return and it was a waste of petrol and our time.

Had afternoon tea for a special family birthday. Fabulous cakes, scones and sandwiches. Would maybe have liked afew more savouries to balance the sweet but apart from that we had a lovely time. Yes it is abit more expensive than your average but as this was a special occasion I was happy with what I got for the money.

We stopped for lunch with our 2 year old grandson as I'd heard great reviews. It was so pretty and welcoming. My Husband was shocked at the prices for a 'garden centre' but chose the burger which said was delicious and plentiful. I had a tuna sandwich which came with salad, it was huge and tasty . Our grandson had the kids burger which was plentiful and good value. We didn't have time to look around the shop but will definitely be back.

We had morning coffee, which was good, and after looking round the farm shop, had a fairly early roast beef lunch. This had generous portions of fine quality topside and vegetables. The cauliflower cheese was particularly good. It would have been a bonus if the gravy had been more akin to meat juices and the plates warmer, especially as such large helpings take quite a while to consume. The excellent service throughout was helpful and friendly without being familiar. The dining room is pleasant and spacious albeit inevitably a bit noisy when full.

We visited for a family wedding reception. The venue (oak beamed restaurant) was great and transformed into a soft lit practical but romantic space. Staff were wonderful, I couldn't praise them enough. Hard working and attentive. The kitchen staff were friendly and so well organised too. A hot Mediterranean style buffet delivered on flavour, with 2 meat and a veggie choice. Salads, Couscous, flatbreads and dips. Plenty of it with people going for 2nd's and 3rd's. This was followed by a mini burger and fish n chip buffet later in the evening. All well presented, tasty and plentiful. I can't comment on value for money, as we were guests. But on quality and quantity, it was excellent. The bar was well run with prompt service. I would highly recommend Frankie's.

Visited here for lunch, we were seated and order taken almost immediately, we ordered baguette, cream scone & drinks. The baguette arrived in record time however we waited about 15mins for the scone to arrive & then had to ask for cream, we finished eating and had to chase for our drinks as they still hadn’t arrived, they had clearly forgotten, after another 10mins the drinks finally arrived. Service was really slow, seemed very disorganised. We’ll find somewhere else to go until service improves.

There are no soft furnishings to absorb the sound which makes it painfully noisy at times. For anyone with hearing aids, it's impossible to hear conversation above the background music and general hubbub and harshness of the acoustics. This needs to be remedied, because several reviewers have commented on it. I'd hesitate to visit again for this reason. The food is home-cooked and lovely, but prices are high eg charging £3.75 for a medium size glass of lime & soda water is bonkers.

Visited with friends after a recommendation. It’s a noisy place because of the acoustics. Arrived at 1.00 seated and menus given. Drinks order taken that arrived quite quickly. All good so far. After ordering our food we waited and waited and waited. When it arrived it was very poor for the money. Fish gujons in a bun with a few chips for £15. You’re having a laugh. My chicken gyros was only big enough for a child. Another waste of £15. My wife had the prawns on noodles. Over salted and sloppy. With 2 beers a wine and a coffee £86. Complete rip off. We did order a couple of deserts( I had to go to the counter and ask for service) 20 minutes later they still hadn’t arrived. It took 15 minutes to get some water for the table. Shockingly slow. This lunch took 1 hour and 45 minutes and I had to go up and cancel the deserts that didn’t arrive and pay so we could leave. Never again.

Way overpriced. £28 for 2 sandwiches and 2 soft drinks. On the menu it says a sandwich with crisps, but they just put a couple of crisps in a little side dish, at those prices you’d think they would stretch to a whole bag of crisps per order. We had a lovely time looking around the shop and the outside area with various garden ornaments for sale, reasonably priced. Tucked away it has plenty of car parking. We sat outside under a parasol and had various delicious treats which were good size portions...

Lovely lunch sat in the garden. They were fully booked and after sampling the food I’m not surprised! Delicious salads, especially the cauliflower and chick pea. Good deal on the eat out to help out scheme too!

To turn yourself from a food cafe, to master supermarket in such a short time is a huge undertaking and Frankies did this with style and dedication. I never had to go anywhere near a busy, understocked supermarket! Frankies had everything I needed including flour,...

I met my daughter and grandson here during the ease of lockdown restrictions. Previously we have visited the restaurant which has been exceptional. Currently they have changed the way they are working and it’s really worth a visit. There are poly tunnels outside housing out door plants and shrubs including bedding plants, pots and garden ornaments etc. With strict social distancing in place. Inside instead of the restaurant is a very well stocked array of premium and staple cupboard products, cards and gifts. There are home made cakes, sausage rolls and an outside marquee housing local pre-packed veg. Again with distancing well policed. We felt comfortable and safe and would thoroughly recommend a visit. Stay safe.

Frankies, ever since it opened has been a firm fave of myself and my local friends. Considering ourselves extremely lucky to have it so close by and never more so now! They have been nothing short of amazing during the Covid situation Both in the supplies they have managed to get in and the very efficient (and probably exhausting!) way they are organising distancing /entry into the building I’ve visited a lot during the shutdown - (we can walk over our fields and buy our shopping, all in one ‘outing’ - so what’s not to love about it!) but each time I’ve visited, I’ve seen, that with people’s stupidity, to manage social distance is not an easy task! They ask for one person only to enter, if there’s a group of two or more - a most sensible idea in my mind - and hardly rocket science as it makes for quicker shopping as they can understandably only permit a few people in at one timeBut without doubt everytime I’ve been there, despite them requesting this, several couples have still insisted on entering together? You’ve been together for 6weeks now?! You’d think they’d welcome 5mins apart lol - but that’s the great British public for you! They still don’t quite ‘get’ all of this do they? So well done Frankies with your tireless efforts in trying to keep THEM safe! And for making everything available that we need, in order to avoid supermarkets - I’d certainly never queue at a Supermarket all the time Frankies stocks so much Can’t wait for you to be able to reopen properly ... we shall be among your first visitors for sure! Thank you Frankies!

Due to the obvious restrictions about, we ordered various roast Dinners from Frankie's. Have to say, every meal was exceptional. Roast Beef, the pork and the goats cheese all exceeded our expectations. I just hope once this awful thing is over they continue to offer the takeaway dinners. Excellent idea and excellent quality. Will certainly continue to use this place.

Called into Frankie's for lunch and after placing our food order we watched in absolute horror as one of the male chefs wiped his nose with the back of his hand on no less than five different occasions whilst preparing and touching the food and utensils. With all the spread of COVID-19 virus we were so disgusted by his lack of hygiene we got up and left but not before telling the waiter our reasons why. (Urgh)

Frankie's Farmshop is the best farmshop in Kent! I have been coming to Frankie's for years and every time I am not disappointed. I have been with friends and family and the food is delightful and so is the service. It is always spotless and you are treated with a smile and made to feel extremely welcome. I have just turned vegetarian and I tried the Vegan burger and it was delicious. It is well priced for the quality of the food and I can't wait to go back! Thank you Frankie !

Have used Frankie’s a few times. Sometimes with a girlfriend who lives locally, for lunch & sometimes with my cycling buddies. I have always found it to be very expensive. Food & cakes are lovely just pricey. Service is a bit hit & miss. In the summer with cycling buddies we sit outside. And have felt a little unwelcome at times. As if they don’t want a group of 8/10 people. On the whole though we’ve put this down to maybe an individual having a bad day rather than an across the board thing.

BRILLIANT! We visited once maybe about 20 years ago and were very disappointed, but perhaps because that was because the place was being renovated which spoilt the atmosphere. We decided the time was right to try it again. We had a lovely lunch, our only criticism was the scallop starter which was just 4 very small shellfish with no roes, for £16.00 very nicely cooked etc, but an astronomical charge for such a small dish. I had garlic prawns, far better value for £9. £32 for a main of hake and £28 for lamb two ways. A following pannacotta was superb. Lovely meal at a lovely venue. We're going to stay there come the late nights to see how it turns out as an hotel.

Very busy, very efficient, very varied a menu. I happened upon this eatery by chance and very welcome it was too - the food is well cooked and presented and from a big menu. I especially enjoyed the mushrooms, which were chunky-cut. You can barely find a large and comprehensive breakfast for under a tenner these days, but this place [just about] sells one

Great food, A1 service, the table were a little close to each other, sometimes struggled to have a conversation, this was just a minor thing, it wouldn't stop me returning.
