The food was really good but wish it had come out faster! The salad bar was well kept up, and even though it was busy, the food quality was what you’d expect from a Harvester.

Lovely food service was great served by Harlan thank you 😊 The menu has changed a bit since my last visit and prices are little bit too, however still good value for money 🙌

Had a nice meal I expected the ribs to come out smothered in sticky bbq sauce but they wasn't, and I had 3 little cubes on my plate what didn't taste of anything when my girlfriend asked what they was she said sweet bread instead of corn on the cob please bring back the corn on the cob,and put sticky sauce on the ribs . We also asked for some mushrooms and got 3 deep fried mushrooms in a dish wasn't impressed, but we will go back nice staff and a nice atmosphere 👍

Very nice, had a Chicken breast with waffles and bacon breakfast with syrup and was very very nice, the service is very friendly and the people are welcoming, definitely recommend the tasty breakfasts!

Had a really lovely meal in here today. Never been to this harvester before but was wowed at how amazing the food was. Food hot and well done, no issues at all. Came out so quickly which was great do no waiting around. It's like a very fine tuned machine in here! Just all the staff are on the ball. Our service was 2nd to none! Josh our sever was on the ball, quick and very efficient and a lovely polite manner! Just so pleasant to come here and will definatly be back again .

Update January 2025 Evening menu covers a multitude of taste and is of a better quality than previously found here. The restaurant was very busy as they had a 50% off promotion. I felt the tables were a little bit too close to each other, as I could have easily been part of the conversation to the adjacent table. Staff here work very hard to keep up with all unending stream of guests while special promotions are on. Update March 2024 Prices have gone up again, normal breakfast and unlimited tea now over £10 also it is not possible now to substitute chips for hash browns. Update December 2023 Had a decent breakfast, with poached eggs cooked to perfection. Service was quick and friendly. Update May 2023 WEB booking times for breakfast are not the same as the restaurant, 11:45 latest for breakfast on the Web, 11:30 in restaurant. Good service from staff, meal good quality and we'll presented, could have been warmer though. Update February 2023 Had to remove a star. Greeting staff not familiar with Harvester advertised meal times, we had to prove we were correct, a simple sorry would have been nice. Breakfast was OK but could have been warmer. Not sure why they have hazard tape around some table feet. Update late November 2022, Evening meal, just after finishing our main course we were asked to move tables to make way for a group of 12, had to remove 1 star for this. Food and service was fine. Update 10/11/2022 As usual a great quality breakfast and fantastic service. Plus a 25% off voucher. Normally a great place for a late breakfast/brunch.

Haven’t been in a while and was pleasantly surprised with what looked like a recent refurbishment. Our food was delicious … and I have fussy kids! Clean plates all round. The main reason for our review is the service. Our lovely waitress Melanie went above and beyond. She answered our questions confidently as we have a child with allergies. All with a smile also. The staff there definitely deserve the praise!

I popped into The Running Horse Harvester in Maidstone for a meal and had a great time! The place has this lovely, cozy farmhouse vibe that makes you feel right at home. The staff, especially Lucy and Harlan, were super friendly, though we did catch them on a busy day when service was a bit slower. But hey, no worries there! The grill was the star of the show; those steaks and rotisserie chicken were spot on, just what you need for a satisfying meal. And let's talk about the salad bar - unlimited greens and veggies, which was a delightful bonus, even if the freshness varied a bit. Desserts were a sweet ending, though they could be a bit hit or miss. For the price, you get a lot, especially with that salad bar, making it pretty good value for money. All in all, if you're around Maidstone and fancy a laid-back meal where the kids can run around and everyone can find something they like, The Running Horse is a gem. Just remember, like any good local spot, the experience can vary, but that's part of the charm!

We went out for dinner to the Running Horse Harvester and it was a pleasant evening out. We were served by Lucy, who was very informative and came over to check up on us multiple times during our meal. The salad bar was lovely, and the portion sizes of the main meals were very generous!

The male who greeted and seated us was brilliant. Our salad bowls were dirty had to wait a while my daughter's BBQ stack was smothered in pepper and in edible which upset me because it was her birthday . A lady employee knocked my son's phone off the table it hit the wooden table leg and broke his screen. Overall terrible experience.

Kerry the waitress has NO people skills at all seemed like she didn’t want to be there, no food check back was done. The salad cart was a mess with food & salad toppers all into mingled & the sauces too. The ladies loo was not checked regularly as 2 loos were full to the brim with used loo roll. I had the chicken which was dry & had we had a food check back I’d of asked for it to be changed. It wasn’t very busy so no excuse not to let that important ask slip by !!

Our server Diana was lovely and made us feel very welcome. The place has definitely had a refurbishment and is much more modern in style, yet lacks a bit of cosiness. The food was OK. Really disappointed in the Berry Best Sundae which was basically a glass full of soft scoop ice cream with half a dozen blueberries and 1 strawberry cut into thins slices. A major let down for what I think was £6.99 each. All in all it was OK. The prices have sky rocketed to pay for the refurb though. So go with a full wallet.

Had Christmas dinner there awful veg hard as nails,carrots like bricks, mash like slop. There was no Christmas atmosphere, no Christmas crackers. Wasn't offered the salad bar. Very disappointed about the whole day wouldn't go back for Christmas dinner again 😕

Waited almost 2 hours for our mains to come out and when they did they was cold. Wanted a pudding but the amount of time it took to get the mains we just wanted to leave. Apparently a chef had an accident and went to hospital but they didn’t tell us this until we got the bill. Maybe keep your customers informed throughout their visit! Also the new refurbed layout is terrible too crammed in now
