Had an amazing time here. The service from our waitress Polly was incredible, very attentive and friendly. And the food was absolutely incredible as well. Gutted we are only visiting the area and can't return again soon.

Lunch took along time to be delivered to the table. Drinks were the same, a long time coming. One of the guests asked for no ice their drink , it came with ice. The food was very nice when it came.

First visit, will definitely go back. Food was good, staff were outstanding

Such a lovely date night with my husband, we had the sharing steak and it was absolutely cooked to perfection, the whole meal was amazing , neither of us could pick a favorite bit because it was all so good, we even sent our compliments to Harriet the chef , lovely service too from our server Abigail , highly recommend

Lovely setting. Very clean. Food was tasty although I thought it was a little over priced. Half a very small chicken and some chips with 2 dips 18.95. Service was a little slow considering there were only 4 tables occupied. The staff were very friendly

Lovely place and great atmosphere, can't believe I've lived so near for so long and never been before! We had the lamb rump and the pork belly which were both beautifully presented and absolutely delicious, and servers Abbii and Millie were super friendly and helpful. Can't wait to visit again!

We have always loved coming to the horseshoes Unfortunately we have felt very rushed this afternoon We were even approached to pay the bill before we had actually received it! We wouldn’t have minded if it was busy but it most certainly wasn’t,”. We had expected a lovely relaxing time but this was definitely NOT the case Unfortunately we will not be returning due to this experience

Had a meal here after our wedding earlier in the day. The staff (Polly, Magic, Millie and Sienna) went above and beyond to look after us and made a special day that extra bit special. The food quality was excellent and we are so glad we chose this restaurant. Would highly recommend and we will definitely be back ourselves soon.

Second time here and fantastic. Pub looks good, clean and well managed. From the moment we entered we were met with great service from Kat. She was pleasant, helpful and funny throughout the meal, especially about the mushrooms. Food, great choice including veg and vegan. Presented well and tasted gorgeous. We ended up having a 3 course it was so nice. Cost of the meal was reasonable. We wasn't rushed or felt uncomfortable in any way. Very fast becoming my favourite restaurant.

Food was really delicious, lovely atmosphere and decorated nicely inside. We sat inside on this occasion but outside looked really nice too if the sun shines. I was vegetarian and there were some good options, not just a second thought. We did have a slight mishap with the dessert, the melting chocolate bomb (which I overall wouldn’t recommend), it happens, but the staff were super accommodating and quickly corrected any mistakes so no harm done! Would recommend for a lovely meal.

Abi, one of the waitresses served us today on my Husbands Birthday and she was so polite and friendly and remembered us from before so she remembered my dietary requirements! Had a lovely meal here one evening in August. Lovely atmosphere, great food and friendly staff. Fantastic food and at reasonable prices. Lots of choice and the steak and Malbec pie was particularly good. The starter of breads and dips was enough for 3 of us and was very tasty. Lots of outdoor seating although we sat in the restaurant for our meal. Plenty of car parking spaces. Would definitely visit again if in the area.

It was my birthday & by far one of my best presents of the day was eating your lamb rump, wow that was amazing The background music was superb & the 2 girls who looked after us were absolutely brilliant

We had a lovely meal, the staff were enthusiastic and helpful, including Vicky, Luke and Gabby. The restaurant was quiet, however this suited our dining experience.

Extra special venue. Great lunch here. Great staff only let down by one real ale on tap which was Harvey's.

Unfortunately the food really let this place down. The fish, which is advertised as fresh, was frozen. It was tasteless and bland, even the batter didn't crunch. I had the roast, which, the gravy should have come in a jug on the side, as its not to everyone's taste, including mine, so my dinner was ruined. The roast potatoes tasted like they had been deep fried rather than roasted. The pork was dry and overcooked. My daughter had the duck noodles, the duck was so overcooked that it actually cut my daughters gum. The waitress sorted out my daughters food, by taking it off the bill, but could only apologise profusely for the fish. Will not be back. The only plus was the starters, my scallops were cooked to perfection.

Gorgeous food had lovely fresh salad they adapted adding the sea bass. Everyone else had roasts and said they enjoyed

Very good with quality food, but menu does not appear to have been changed for a long time? A more seasonal menu would be appreciated.

Lovely little pub restaurant, plenty of parking, food was wonderful and brought out promptly, service was great and in a beautiful part of the country. Is a little out of the way and requires some country driving to get there but well worth the trip, a must visit if you're in the area.

Just had an amazing meal at Horseshoes Maidstone. The service was excellent and timely, we were served by Abi, Abbie and Autumn. We'll definitely be back soon.

A great place to visit. The staff are welcoming and efficient and the food is excellent.

Tonight we celebrated a 30th Wedding Anniversary at the Horseshoes. We booked a table for 30 people. We had our own area of the restaurant all nicely set up on our arrival. We were welcomed by Autumn who introduced herself as our waitress for the evening. Autumn was absolutely fantastic all evening. Nothing was too much trouble and she constantly asked us if we had everything we needed and if she could do anything else for us. We couldn’t have asked for better service so we’re very grateful to Autumn for being so wonderful. The food was incredible. It came out really promptly, was hot and tasted delicious. We’re so impressed with the food and service we received, especially considering how large our table was. Thank you to Autumn and everyone at the Horseshoes for making our celebration so special. We’ll definitely be back again soon.

I went to the horseshoes this evening and can honestly say my wife and I had the best time there. We walked into the restaurant and was greeted by a member of staff called, Autumn. She was very attentive and throughout our meal at the horseshoes, she seemed to be non stop helping other customers, but always made an effort to come over and check if everything was okay, which it was. Autumn even made an effort with our 2 year old son who was being very cheeky! All in all, I would say that if you’re looking for a friendly pub with a great atmosphere along with amazing food but for a great price, look no further! The horseshoes is the place for you!

A very pleasant country pub with comfortable seating in both the large restaurant and in the pub section. There is also plenty of seating outside and a good sized free car park. The menu is mainly English fare, fish and chips, various burgers but also meals with vegetables and potatoes. The food is mid priced eg. Fish and chips is around £17. I received good service from the waiting staff and my food came up in good time. I didn't feel rushed at all and after my meal I sat in the bar area for a coffee where there were some nice comfortable soft chairs. There are good options for vegetarians here. There is a weekday set menu offering 2 or 3 courses and there are some daily specials.

Country pub with a large restaurant area with a more upmarket feel than other pubs in the Mitchell & Butler group. Also has a bar area with comfortable seating plus plenty of room outside in the garden. There is also a fair sized car park which is free to use. Food is mainly English fare and there are options with vegetables and potatoes rather than fries. Food is mid priced eg. Fish & chips at around £17. Service was polite and friendly and good arrived in good time.

I recently dined with my family, we all enjoyed our meals, they have a great choice of meals for kids. The service was great, staff are friendly and courteous, The Horseshoes pub/restaurant has a cosy, welcoming atmosphere, I look forward to returning soon with my family and friends.

Bar staff were very welcoming and friendly especially a lady called Jess.

Amazing food and great service, will visit again

It was incredibly impressed by the service provided by Jess, who works behind the bar. Jess's warm and friendly demeanor immediately made me feel welcome. Her knowledge of the drink menu is exceptional, and she offered fantastic recommendations that perfectly suited my taste. Despite the bar being busy, Jess was attentive and efficient, ensuring that every customer felt valued. Her skill in mixing drinks is outstanding, and her passion for her job shines through in every interaction. Jess truly enhances the pub experience, and I look forward to my next visit!

Good was amazing but the service was some of the worst I’ve ever seen. Only got offered one drink, even then my empty glasses sat on the table for the whole of the meal. We asked for some water before the mains came out and it never materialised. Received the bill and then waited for 20 minutes for someone to bring a card machine over. I will not be coming back due to the very poor service.

Top food and no concerns with service

Absolutely love this place. Served by a young girl called Poppy and she answered all my questions with such kindness and was so lovely to us the whole night. The food was stunning , will 100% be coming back. Deffo recommend!

Brandon and Molly were our servers and did an excellent job. Very pleasant young people who delivered prompt service with a smile .

The food was ok, but not outstanding. The price for the food on the other hand was outstanding! Over £12 for a sandwich! £4.10 for a Pepsi!

Our waitress Poppy was very friendly and efficient and made sure we were well looked after.

Last visited over ten years ago and pleased to find nothing has changed - still a lovely country pub / restaurant with good food fairly priced. Waiting staff Autumn and Will both excellent and lunch menu was good value, with generous portions. Loved the ice cream and cookie!

The service was great, Ali, Amber and Luke were very attentive, polite and friendly. The food was good quality and there were empty plates all round.

There was very nice food and the service was good as well since the food came very fast. The atmosphere was also very nice since it's located in quite an old building giving it a cozy feeling. Definitely recommend coming here.

Food was lovely. It took a while but there were two big tables, the staff were apologetic and said est time the food will come out. Great service as always and such a nice atmosphere you don't really notice if food does take a bit longer

I have just returned from my Dads wake at the Horseshoes and I must say that with their assistance it made part of a sad day into a memorable experience. The delicious buffet of food was excellent and very well cooked and presented. 👍🏼👌🏼 Lisa and her girls worked very hard attending to everyone’s needs and requests……very much appreciated by myself and my family - Ta Al X

As always, great food. We come regularly for birthday treats with my family. Recent visit was the most friendly and efficient waitress, called either Millie or Abi (names on receipt)! Dark haired young lady. She was excellent.

Superb for my 18th birthday meal

Went last night for our anniversary for the first time after a few recommendations. A litte on the pricer side but honestly the food and service could not be faulted. I work in hospitality too and an ex chef so usually it's very hard to get it right but they all did outstandingly! We was running a little late (childcare issues) but they still got us in and seated in a lovely intimate spot in the restaurant. Perfect service and honesty the cheese doughnuts was to die for! I'll be returning just for those 🤤 considering they was busy too the food came out in a very reasonable time frame aswell. Same with the drinks. The cuban mai tai's I was made was absolutely delicious! All in all a perfect evening which doesn't get to happen very often with kids as we have to go to kid friendly restaurants but as we was celebrating we thought we would try the horseshoes and honestly I will be returning and recommending! Well done both FOH and BOH!

Absolutely loved this place. Food was excellent. Lovely atmosphere and the staff, Vicky, Jess and Michelle were all very polite,happy and helpful. Would definitely recommend for a meal or just a drink. Plenty of parking with lots of outdoor seating, lovely on a warm summer evening.

Staff were very slow. I had booked online asking for a highchair which clearly wasnt taken on board. We had to ask to take our order for drinks then they were left on the bar waiting to be given them. My other half was still eating and we were asked if we had finished. I don't like that. The food however was really lovwly, always is. Sadly service let it down a bit this time but we visit often as we like the restaurant.

Very nice rurally located country pub, I was here for dinner with a friend and it was very nice, reasonably priced and freshly cooked. Service is good, friendly and efficient.

The server (Poppy) was lovely. Very accommodating to our request to move table to a quieter area and also to have a starter with our desserts. The food was also quite nice. Loved the Chipotle chicken starter. The crab, prawn and Chorizo linguine was also very nice (could do with some shallots but just personal preference).

Great food, great service & atmosphere. you get what you pay for. If you want cheap processed food, & to be treated like an item on a conveyor belt, then stick to mc Donald's. Would 100% recommend the Diry Burger for meat eaters

Very relaxed atmosphere, great food and service.. I had Trio of roast, and trio of desserts.. 😍

First time visitor on 19th March after a recommendation,. The surrounds are outstanding, great decor and settings. Its a bit dark in the restaurant area and not busy enough to create any atmosphere. Unfortunately not a great meal. Starter of squid was nice but with no proper dip it was very dry which made it hard to eat. I left half. Main course Fish and Chips was even bigger disappointment. Batter so hard we both struggled to cut into it and fish inside dry, no nice white flakes, so over cooked. It reminded me of how fish comes out of the air fryer. Had garden peas and they were mixture of soft hard. I couldn't make out the chips at all. Looked strange, dark and light mixture of colour and no taste. Waitress brought us dessert menu and then never came back. Had to go and chase for bill when we ran out of time. So disappointed.
