This was our first visit to this pub, it left me wondering why we have not been here before but it’s not in our vicinity. We met our friends for an early evening drink. How nice it was to be greeted by the 2 ladies behind the bar with a smile and a friendly word . I love ales and I’ve got to say both the Shere and London Pride was superbly looked after and I thoroughly enjoyed them. In conclusion, our friends are coming up for their 50th anniversary next month and I had no problem in asking if they would like to come here for a Sunday Lunch to celebrate which they had no hesitation in agreeing to. So I booked there and then. Cannot wait for our next visit.

Nice pub, good service, friendly atmosphere and cute garden, but hideously hideously expensive. Went here en route to Gatwick Airport to get some lunch, and paid £40 for a Caesar Salad and Halloumi Salad. The food was certainly nice but the cost was outrageous.

Adults meals were lovely and reasonably priced.However £11.00 for a child's hot dog and chips...this comprised of one small finger roll, one small sausage and a few chips!! Astonishing!! Even our three year old was asking where her other sausage was. This meal should have been priced at £5.00 max. Such a shame!! We won't be buying children's meals there again. 😔 Perhaps consider what a few pubs are doing this summer and give children's meals for free? Beware of very small overpriced childrens meals.

A fabulous lunch, service and atmosphere at this picturesque country pub today. On arrival it’s clear that much thought has been put into everything, starting with defined and numbered parking bays. A very warm welcome and service from Debbie and team. Not all menu choices were available but that was not a problem. My meal was upgraded at no additional cost and I had probably the best steak I’ve tasted for years. Good wine selection but it would have been nice to be able to choose a Sauvignon from Marlborough, NZ. Surprised that wasn’t on the list! Reasonably priced for the quality of food and well worth a visit. We will certainly be going again soon. Thank you team. We really enjoyed meeting you.

Booked a table as we had a power cut in Brockham, very good tasty food. Very good portion sizes. All Staff very polite and attentive. Keep it up 7 Stars, we have been a few times and enjoyed the food everytime.

Fabulous Christmas meal with friends - delicious food for children and adults, festive fun with crackers and very welcoming staff. Would highly recommend to celebrate Christmas here!

I haven't been to the pub for many years - even though i live locally- We were invited by friends for lunch- I have to say the food was most disappointing- Prawn and Smoked Salmon starter - no Smoked Salmon, + Steak Sandwich in 2 toasted pieces of bread, Fish and Chips - fish was totally over cooked. So food wasn't great... The costs are very high for a low standard of food- We wont be back Its a shame as its a nice environment and good location....

Went for Sunday lunch, hubby had pork, I had beef. Both absolutely delicious & big portions. This will be our new Sunday roast venue now The Joshua Tree has become an Indian.

Been here twice fairly recently and both times the food and service was excellent. The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating and knowledgeable about the food being served, we will definitely be coming back to eat here again.

My wife and I are regular visitors to the 7 Stars mostly for Sunday lunch and the odd visit during the week also for lunch in the bar. On each occasion the food has always been of a very high standard. The service from the staff is always excellent and nothing too much trouble even when they very busy. You want a great Sunday roast try the 7 Stars you wont regret it.

Table booked. Ordered food about 15 mins into seating. Told food would be about 40 minutes wait which we thought was long but agree to as busy but ordered our Sunday lunch. Drinks arrived but waited hour and half and still no food only chips for children which we requested as the wait was so long. Over hour half later still no food so Complained and told to wait another 10 mins or cancel order. So we cancelled and went on to eat elsewhere. Such a shame as a birthday lunch with family. Disappointed as we ate previously on our Anniversay. Birthday lunch spoilt.

It’s fair to say that I have quite a busy social calendar but when I get the opportunity I will always go back to this lovely pub . Last night we invited friends to join us for “ Sinatra at The Stars” event . What a great evening . The Big Band was awesome and the vocalist was outstanding . He looked and sounded the part. ( Frank would have loved it !!) When we arrived we were warmly welcomed by the bar staff and they were extremely well organised . Our table was ideally located allowing us to enjoy the musical event . Steve the landlord and s not only mastered his art and that is evident when you watch him work the room . Genuinely charming man who leads a very strong team The QUALITY of the food was spot on and our friends were very complimentary. Excellent value for the money we paid .

Very commendable on the delivery of the outside refurbishment. Pleasant surroundings & appropriate furnishings. The bar lady was a little odd. Almost a fake posh voiced welcome. Why do servers try & over do it. Be normal, talk to us like we are here, not robots! The bar tables were dirty & empty glasses laying around. Somebody needs a boot up their @&@@ to stop the chitter chatter & carry out light general duties to clean up. Nice pub, very nice pub when change the bar servers.

A return visit as we had a fantastic Sunday lunch meal with friends a month previously. We were not disappointed with this second visit, a great choice of starters, main courses and deserts. Everyone of us was delighted with the meal and I had the best Crème Brûlée I have ever had. I was slightly disappointed that on both occasions some dishes had run out, but that is a small price to pay in a popular pub. We will certainly be visiting this venue again. It is not a budget meal but the food is excellent for the price coupled with attentive and educating service on both occasions. A most enjoyable evening with friends.

it was fairly quite but a good atmosphere. Im not sure what you would class the menu as but a mix of asian ( mild ) sweet and sour, and the more standard uk menu. nice surprise . mid range food prices but wine was good value. good staff , banter , attentive with hovering. really enjoyed the evening as did out friends

Positives - Great roast (best in whole area), great country pub, great decor, good selection of drinks, different mains then a traditional pub. Even better if, - I’m being picky - it wasn’t really busy but food took a while, but really apologised, roasts potatoes small and only two (I think they are the ones that get delivered already peeled so difficult too crisp), one of our party asked for no courgette’s but told veg come pre- prepared, staff seemed rushed (maybe someone off sick) so not attentive when we arrived, and an odd observation no disabled parking at the front (but someone selling their car)

Our second visit for Sunday lunch and we were not disappointed. Arrived early but our table wasn’t ready…not a problem we were offered to sit at the bar to wait which we did and had a pre lunch drink. When our table was ready we ordered a delicious Sunday roast. Staff we all lovey and the owner was charming and very accommodating. We will return most definitely.

We took friends for Sunday lunch, to celebrate an 80th birthday. A nice buzz in both areas where lunches take place. We were seated and asked for our drink choices very soon after arriving. Menus delivered and very cheerful environment, super pub ambience. On to the meal- FABULOUS! OMG the roast was better than mine!!! On Sunday a group of 5 friends decided to brave the chilly winds and meet up for lunch at the Seven Stars in Leigh. So glad we did! The staff were very welcoming and warm blankets were plentiful. We all had 2 courses and a fabulous Sunday Roast, thoughtfully served on very hot plates went down a treat. A pretty location and a great place to while away the hours, eat, drink and be merry. We will be returning very soon.

Myself and my husband decided to walk to the Seven Stars on Saturday lunch time as we were visiting my in-laws in Leigh. We called ahead and the lovely lady reserved a table for us.The whole menu was amazing and we felt spoilt for choice but we both option for the Southern Fried Chicken Burger in the Pretzel Bun - It was HONESTLY the best burger that I have ever had! Ever since leaving, I have not stopped thinking about it (So much so that we are travelling up from Kent again this weekend!).The staff were so lovely and we had a lovely chat to the Irish landlady who was lovely. We felt safe & well looked after - With lots of lovely glasses of the New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc! Thank you for a lovely afternoon and we can't wait to see you again! Great food. Friendly staff. Comfy outdoor environment. The nachos were pukka. Not the cheap tortilla crisps and more than the teaspoon of accompaniments you get in other places. Fab calamari. Pasta dish was delicious and the fish really succulent. The only criticism is that fish and chips should be chips not fries. Not quite the same. Our waitress was so very lovely. Thank you for a relaxing evening.

We are regular diners at the 7 Stars and have always had excellent food and service from the staff. The Sunday roast's are some of the best we have had, and always served with a great big yorkshire!! Try it you wont be disappointed.

I purchased a lamb shank in yorkshire pudding the lamb was cold so I asked if it could be warmed after 5 minutes it returned cold the Yorkshire was like dough with very little gravy at £3.99 it was expensive but at£13.99 it was highway robbery

We chanced upon this place whilst visiting friends who live in Leigh and we found it a lovely little place.The restaurant takes only a proportion of the frontage you see the the photographs, but do not be put off by the size. We encountered surprisingly good food and service when we visited on a Saturday lunchtime. The Pea & Mint soup and the Pate starters were simply outstanding and the main courses (which for us was the fish and Chips) was not far behind.Coupled with a reasonably priced wine list and really good attentive service throughout made this a really unexpected find and well worth the visit. Not a big place by any means and I would think at tops 50 covers, yet not once did we feel that the place was anything but worth visiting again.

We decided to stop into this pub after visiting a national trust, as it was on our way home.The staff were friendly enough, and didnt mind our daughter dancing around before the food came! Also the crackers on the tables were a lovely little touch and helped 7s fill in time before the meal came without the dreaded tablet..... however the food was a little mediocre.I wanted steak and mushroom pie, but at the point of ordering was told that its currently not pie its pudding. I decided to go for it anyway, but when it came it was steak and kidney... not steak and mushroom, which was a disappointment.My husband had the burger, and the patty looked homemade, and thick, and my daughter had nuggets and chips which were also homemade.All was ok, but the following things needed to be better:1) daughters peas had been microwaved and were scalding hot. They needed to be a little cooler as she hurt her mouth with first bite2) Steak and kidney pudding should be labelled as such, also suet pastry was a little under done, and longer cooking timeWe had a pleasant enough meal, but may not return as favour of other local pubs with better food! Sorry!

The Seven Stars has a relaxed, friendly atmosphere where the staff are really attentive and nothing is too much trouble. We had the Sunday lunch and it was amazing! Best roast dinner we have had out. Well worth the hour drive from our home. Looking forward to returning in a few weeks

We visited yesterday (10 covers plus a baby) and the first thing I must say was the food was amazing. We had pre- ordered from their Christmas menu which definitely aided the kitchen as the standard of food could not be faulted. Perfect turkey, stuffing, pigs in blankets and vegetables.I understand they have recruited two new chefs - they did well!The young waitresses were an absolute delight and nothing was too much trouble. We weren't rushed at all and they gave amazing service.If you have booked your Christmas function here I think you are in for a treat.

Don’t leave trip advisor reviews but I’d thought I’d take the time to pop a quick one on .. on our way to Gatwick we thought we would stop and get a roast before we left for holiday ... we both had roast sirloin of beef cooked to perfection, spuds crispy and cauliflower cheese was lovely which on commenting were told was made with a local blue cheese .. didn’t have time for dessert but got foxes glacier mints with the bill the place was packed but Faith looked after us well ! We will be back

Lovely old pub, out in the countryside, must be awesome of a summers evening. Pub was busy so we sat at our reserved table promptly; although I didn't sit quick enough as I was barged by some rude git in an awful hurry to get somewhere! Young staff were great and took care of our drinks needs very efficiently and handed out menu's (without any special comments) and that's where the trouble started. We all ordered and a few minutes later the young lady came back and apologised for one of the starters ordered not being available. Hmmmm, not perfect for an establishment of this price and quality, but oh well, we can make another selection. This was done and we awaited our starters. After about another 5-10 minutes, the poor young lady came back, clearly embarressed, told us that one of our main choices was also off. Really? Yes, we let our displeasure be known in a polite manner to the young lady, but it was not her fault. Surely the kitchen should tell the manager and the manager should tell us, not the young lady? Anyway, I think there were complimentary coffee's but that was about it. The food we eventually had was fine perfectly acceptable; but the fact that 2 items on the menu (at least) were not a menu on a Friday night, may indicate that the Seven Stars should actually only be the Three Stars maybe.

My brother, a friend, my wife and I had a most enjoyable Sunday lunch of roast beef and Yorkshire pudding with all the trimmings and cod and chips. The meals were extremely well prepared and the taste was first class. Our waitress, Aimee, did her best to ensure that we were well looked after, which made our meal all the more enjoyable. Dave, the landlord welcomed us before our meal and took the time to update us on the progress of the pub since it had changed hands. Unfortunately, it had not been that enjoyable when we visited previously and Dave was determined to ensure that would not happen under his watch.

Haven't been to this pub for many years but now it has changed hands and is absolutely great. Just been for Sunday lunch and it was the best roast we have had in a very long time. Really lovely home cooked food, roast beef was amazing all the trimmings were fab and the desert's equally as good.

Warm welcome at the seven stars pub. Glorious setting in the September afternoon sunshine. Staff very accommodating. Plenty of fresh cakes, scones and tea. Will come again.

Have visited a few times now as have moved to the local area.

We went spur of the moment and ended up having a really tasty meal. I had a curry platter that included 3 different curries, Nan bread, onion bhajis, popadoms. All the usual but freshly made bite sized versions. Delicious !

Met some friends for Friday lunch and choose this pub as about halfway between our locations and that they allowed dogs. Had reserved a table inside but as weather was so good decided to sit outside instead. The friendly waitress was happy to change us and even took our drinks order at the table and then our orders. All our dishes were tasty and well presented. Would definitely return especially as it had a large car park and lots of footpaths around for walks.

Having previously had a very good experience at the Seven Stars, a geriatric family lunch was arranged recently. On arrival we were told that they were in the throws of a five hour local power cut, disabling the kitchen and therefore the menu. Unlike so many pubs the 'kitchen closed' excuse was not invoked, instead, they were only interested in what they could provide for us, offering a number of cold options, they managed to produce a delicious, plentiful, varied and well thought out cold buffet for seven people in a very short time. Although under pressure, the charming and highly efficient staff never lost their good humour and generally made our lunch extremely enjoyable. A fine example of how a welcoming country pub should be.

The last time I used this restaurant was 8 years ago and the food was good, but when I tried to book for another time they would not take the midday booking because we wanted to take our grand daughter. ( no children aloud). This Time we were invited there a a Father's Day treat and I was pleasantly surprised by the quick and warm reception, and escorted to our table with a drinks order quickly taken. We ordered our food which was delivered speedily and the full meal was succulent, tasty , and bloody good. The only thing that I thought was wrong was bring served unshelled prawns, but nowhere to put the waste and not a finger bowl to rinse fingers. Pity. I would also suggest that salads with main courses are readily available separately for low carb users. Will be back again. Worth a visit.

My husband and I had Sunday lunch at the Seven Stars today and it was excellent. The side of cauliflower cheese with truffle oil was a really nice addition to the meal, very tasty and perfectly cooked. We will definitely be going back very soon! Wonderful, friendly service and a relaxed atmosphere.

Had a feast of an afternoon tea to celebrate a birthday here this afternoon. The ambience was homely, like sitting in someone's front parlour. The staff were friendly and extremely accommodating. The food was fresh and plentiful. I would definetly recommend a trip here and will certainly be visiting again.
