The best restaurants serving British food in London

Siamo andati a visitare Londra e come zona dove trovare l'hotel abbiamo scelto Hammersmith.Oltre ad essere una zona ricca di pub e ristorantini e anche molto viva.Volevamo mangiare tipicamente inglese e quindi abbiamo provato qualche pub.Il BLUE ANCHOR è quello che ci ha accolto con più calore.Direttamente sulle sponde del Tamigi, il pub si sviluppa su due piani, al piano terra il classico pub inglese, al piano superiore una bellissima sala con vista sul fiume.Tavolo per 8 (4 adulti e 4 bambini) serviti dal un proprietario caloroso ed molto ben disposto ... non sono purtroppo tutti cosi.Abbiamo mangiato bene e speso il giusto.Lo consiglio, se siete in tanti ed inizia il we è meglio prenotare.

Love going to this pub when I'm in the area

Wetherspoons in the city is always a good thing, obviously more affordable than most places in the area. Listed building that's kept in good condition and clean, can get very busy but service is still usual quick even during these times. Generally a good atmosphere just people having a couple of quick ones. Food is the usual Wetherspoons standard.

First time visiting the place. Service from start to finish was bad if i’m being honest. Wasn’t told to order at the bar. When i went to the bar to order we got ignored for quite some time. Restaurant wasn’t overly busy and there was plenty of staff walking around, even just an acknowledgment would have done. Staff seemed to not care, like they couldn’t be bothered. Food was good.

The Torch was one of our nominated venues for our trip to Wembley Stadium (Nottingham Forest) Despite several attempts to prebook a meal … declined … unable to fulfil your request On arrival we were informed that indeed no food would be served , but they had no objection to you bringing in your own food. Prices were increased by around 20%. On the plus side…. A great day out the place was bursting with our fans and a great time was had by all

When we arrived i ordered something and payed for it just for them to tell me 10 minute later that they didn’t have it today. After i waited a long long time like 30min for a soup and mashed potato and then it took them 20min to bring me a toast. The place was almost empty and they had 4 people doing the service but they didn’t seem to be in a rush or care. Really poor service. At least the food was good.

Very clean rooms nice area and food is good It was a bit expensive compared to the others in the same area but definitely a nice place and friendly staff

Azis and Toby were wonderful. Very social and friendly staff, I had an amazing chat with them.

Very friendly bar staff, well worth a visit

It's an OK pub in a location not so easy to find on Google maps. I was 40 minutes late. The pub is well liked and had so many people out was over spilling into the street. The upstairs was rented out for the Patchwork event and it was a good space with drinks and nibbles available. Lovely evening with Patchwork colleagues.

Always a great place to be. People and beers are awesome.
