Pretty nice Pub in the center of Borough! love it, nice interior, great beer selection and good food. nice place for a pint or two lovely staff!

Lovely pub very close to Borough Market, great choice of beers, wines and cocktails. Great decor and atmosphere, with indoor and some outdoor areas. Didn't get food, but what I saw looked nice. It was a great pit stop before venturing into the market 😁

Really loved the food here, classic pub food, can't go wrong really. Lots and lots of selections for the beers, cool atmosphere, perfect location. No garden but the barrels out the front are a lovely place to drink. Will be returning thank you Southwark Tavern team!

Nice pub at the entrance of Borough Market.

Salt, earth, brine, these are the key notes dancing on my taste buds after eating a disgustingly large oyster across the street (my lawyer has requested that i note this was not related to the pub). However, after a solid kickback at the southwark tavern with my friends I was able to face the dark passenger that rides with me through this lonesome trail we call life. The egg was good.

Connor was my guy. He was very affable and the venue was perfect for the footy. There was a mix-up with my food order, but Aditya sorted it out extremely quickly and it was lovely. I will definitely see you guys again.

Perhaps the bar staff was having a particularly bad day but they were incredibly rude to my colleagues and I. We bought drinks only and were hastily evicted for accidentally going downstairs when it was closed. The bar staff said that downstairs was “obviously closed” and made an offensive gesture at me.

Stopped in here for a few jars after meeting my cousin in Casa Do Frango down the road. This is a lovely little London pub with lots of character (and characters!). Just outside borough market and recommend you go there for a few drinks

Came in for a Sunday roast and left absolutely satisfied. Great food, amazing range of craft beers and good atmosphere. Definitely recommend booking here for a Roast.

Nice place to have your beers after work. They have a very wide variety of drinks, the bathrooms are separated by gender and they have special staff to take care of the environment when people get unbearable

Used to be great, now very over priced compared to other bars in London. M&B have got very greedy. £7.70 a pint for NeckOil is ridiculous. Not far away you can get craft beer for £5-6 a pint still

The food was amazing we loved the sunday roasts, the service of thalsi (my bad pronounciation) was great. We are from Portugal, She helped us with the language by using a translator and taught me how to use it. Now i'm using the translator to write this review lol 😂

Basic London boozer, extra friendly staff

After navigating our way through the crowds of Bourogh Market we wanted to find some place for Fish and Chips and a drink. We stumbled upon Southwark Tavern and we are SO glad we did!! Before we left home we had said that we wanted to have a drink in a British pub with stone walls. This is the PERFECT place! The basement was an old jail with several cells open for seating. The walls were all brick and EXACTLY what we were looking for and more! The service by the manager, Darren was AMAZING! I have a LOT of food allergies and he made SURE that I wouldn't have a problem. I can't wait to take other friends there as this was one of our top memories of London!!

Best London tavern ever!! Excellent service, excellent drinks, excellent experience. And that Troy bloke is a true mastermind. Anyone who can rock a blue vest and make a kickass Moscow mule is a saint in my book!

Me and my partner came here for Sunday Lunch and we were not disappointed, I had the half roast chicken and she had the pork belly with a side of Cauliflower Chesse and extra pigs in Blankets. Yummy!

The pub has a really nice atmosphere, the original painted windows, has a lot of light upstairs with plant and the downstairs area with the old cells turned into booths. The team was nice and welcoming as well, with good recommendations.

Okay place to visit. The atmosphere was a bit off. The patrons are very weird so wouldn't want to return.

We came here to have dinner on Wednesday evening with my partner after ealking around in the area. It was a fairly busy evening but we managed to get a table in the cellar booths. When we ordered we were told abiut their offer of 2 Steaks and a bottle of wine for £52 so we decided to go with this. Our steaks were perfectly made to medium rare. Athmosphare is good and the staff was very friendly, and the recommandaruon was deffenetly great to follow. We will be bacm when in the area for sure.

I was with friends and we ordered a range of drinks and meals. The ale we wanted ran out and food items were not available and we had to choose alternatives. Whilst waiting for the food we were told they had run out of cabbage. When the (average at best) food arrived it was barely warm except for the pie which made us think all of the meals had been left waiting for that. The decor/atmosphere is nice but we won't go back.

Nice quiet pub right next to the hustle and bustle of Borough Market

Beautiful English pub in the Borough Market area I went to this pub with my girlfriend during a holiday in London. The venue, practically inside the Borough Market. it is located very close to London Bridge railway station. The interior, which also extends to the basement, is in perfect English style. We sat down in one of the cells down the street and enjoyed a draft beer. The atmosphere is very quiet and made pleasant by piped music. Prices are in line with those of the English capital.

The staff were great, and the food was absolutely wonderful. We had 3 plates for £17 and had the chicken, calamari and scotch egg. OMG huge compliments to the chef as the taste of all this was wonderful but especially the chicken. Improvements I would say are not having old chairs, tv brackets and ‘junk’ plied in the area by the ladies toilet as this really didn’t look good. Also, the more than expected smell given the age of the building, in the cells, but air freshener such as plug ins in every cell would help this situation.

Lovely pub with a nice sharing roast option. The food was tasty and fresh, we have enjoyed variety of meat and vegetables, the gravy was tasty. It is mostly self service, ordering with QR code or at the bar. Atmosphere was a bit noisy and again you need to find a table by yourself etc. Main course plates should be provided, bread plates are too small. Attaching pictures for reference. On the plus side, there are four ales on tap, on the minus side, interior layout could be so much better, apart from the original external tiling everything else about this pub is a fake, from the stained glass to the slatted flooring, it just looks wrong.

Borough Market was super crowded, so we ate here. The fish and chips were delicious.

Sono stato in questo pub con la mia ragazza in occasione di una vacanza a Londra. II locale, praticamente all'interno del Borough Market. si trova vicinissimo alla stazione ferroviaria di London Bridge. L'interno, che si sviluppa anche al piano interrato, è in perfetto stile inglese. Noi ci siamo accomodati in una delle cellette sotto strada ei siamo gustati una birra alla spina. L'atmosfera è molto tranquilla e resa piacevole dalla musica in filodiffusione. I prezzi sono in linea con quelli della capitale inglese.
