A charming and inconspicuous establishment that I discovered during my recent exploration of the area. I highly recommend that you visit this establishment and experience its offerings. The outdoor seating area at the rear of the establishment is particularly noteworthy.

Went on a Thursday 1730-2100 and from start to finish the place was buzzing. Refreshing to see a pub so busy but with minimal wait time to be served by friendly staff because management ensured the number of staff was perfect. We ate upstairs after a drinks in the bar and James our server was great. Professional enough for us not left wanting and with good banter for a laugh. Just how a good barman/server should be but is hard to find these days. Great visit with everything just right. Will definitely be back and thoroughly recommend. Thanks James

Fairly hectic after work bar. Large groups of shouty blokes rather off putting and the outdoor area that's so covered over it's basically inside had people smoking in it, which wasn't great. Suggest avoid. May become more charming on the weekend you hope.

The Sunday Roast here is well below par. There were items missing from the plate, only 2 potatoes, over cooked meat and overall no love shown. I can say that the staff were very friendly and accommodating and the pub itself is a decent. Just give the roast a swerve...

I visited on a busy Sunday lunch time and was received with good food and great service. When I arrived, there was only one staff at the bar at an almost fully seated pub. The friendly service was not at all compromised and my food order with request of extra chilli sauce was served fast. The gravy and the mini croquette was light, the beef was super tasty. The sitting area at the back yard was perfect to have a quiet reading space overlooking the shard against the sky. On my way out, another older female staff joint the young man at the bar. She went through extra trouble to fill my water bottle with warm water requested. (There was self service iced lemon water available on the side already). I am really grateful. In case the staff is reading this, the water was for my meds needing warm water to dissolve in. So thank you! Pub like this make my day sparkle ✨

Typical English pub with a wide range of beers. It has a very cozy interior patio where we could have a few beers and ended up having dinner. Reasonable prices for London, both for drinks and food. Unfortunately I had a terrible experience here with a really aggressive bar tender. He very quickly got mad at me for not specifying exactly which type of Rose wine I wanted, so I apologised and said 'sorry just house Rose' to which he replied 'see it's not that hard is it' and when I asked if I could add another drink to my order he snapped 'anything else you want to tell me?'. He also threatened that if I'd added anything else to my order after that he would have 'charged me double'. He had a really angry and aggressive attitude throughout the entire interaction. This kind of behaviour is totally out of order and I think he should pick on someone his own size rather than young women to take his anger out on his shift. Such a shame as aside from that Bunch of Grapes is a gem of a place. Best be careful not to let that become ruined by unprofessional staff.

Booked Sunday lunch at 24hrs notice (which was a surprise as most pubs booked quite a long way in advance). First challenge, not having been before, was finding out that dining room is upstairs as it's not very obvious. Quite a big dining room with wood-panelled walls painted in a traditional dark colour. Nobody to greet us however there was a "waiting for..." reservation sign on our table so we sat down and waited (only one other table was occupied). It was about 10mins before our waitress came in to take our order. I ordered the beef Sunday roast and wife ordered chicken escalope with tabbouleh. The roast was a solid 7/10, only let down by the roast potatoes which had no crunchy outer coating and the fact that watery gravy had been poured over everything (would have preferred a separate dish with gravy). Tabbouleh is traditionally bulgar wheat, onion, tomato and parsley but we were served giant couscous with parsley so a disappointing attempt which was a bit bland. For dessert I ordered the sticky toffee pudding with salted caramel sauce and ice cream and was informed that as they didn't have and salted caramel sauce they would give me extra ice cream. Unfortunately, when you microwave sticky toffee pudding without any sauce it turned into a rubber brick..😟 Only an average rating overall, however I would still recommend this pub as we had a very pleasant afternoon without any loud music or other noisy diners.

The Bunch of Grapes is a great spot just down the road from the Shard. My friend and I have been for pre-dinner drinks there before, and on Good Friday, decided to try the food at the pub. And I'll happily return. You can order your food via the Youngs app, and it comes to your table. We had booked, but the team couldn't find our booking, so after a drink in the sheltered garden, we found a nice table upstairs to the pub. We ordered a ploughman's lunch, fries, and chicken wings. It was more than enough for two people! We struggled. And with the tip, it was about £40. Obviously, a round for 2 people is generally around £12/14, but that's London for you. So, great food, a great choice of beer, and a nice venue. The staff could be a bit more polite. The two women serving on Friday must have gotten out of the wrong side of the bed, as it really seemed that they didn't want to be there, let alone serve people.

Really love this pub. Has a great atmosphere and loads of character. Had a great experience the last time we were there, however, on this occasion, the food and service let the side down. Chicken escalope was dry as a bone and the burger was so small, patties very thin considering the price of £17.50. It was shrove Tuesday and we were given pancakes as a good gesture which we thought was really lovely, but unfortunately the pancakes were stale and dry and tasteless. We came here with a client, swayed by the view and the menu. Food order was taken before drinks, which is odd in my mind. Starters came out and were pretty good. Mains, on the other hand, were not. My brick chicken was so salty I couldn't eat it. My colleague's lemon sole was the same. We ordered coffees and in spite of this we were asked 3 times if we'd like more drinks. It's a real shame as it looks nice and has a decent location.

Still a very odd/bad idea of a “pub”. Flat beer without fail on every begrudging visit here. Completely disinterested staff, wonky tables, but at least the new toilets are somewhat clean. I’d say it is best to avoid unless you weirdly enjoy these sorts of places as some seem to - for you lot, it gets five stars.
