Duck and Waffle in City of London, Westminster

At the suggestion of my son I visited Duck & Waffle. The only reservation available during my stay was 10:30pm on a Sunday night. I arrived at 9:30 and they allowed me to sit at the bar and use my deposit (mandatory deposit to make a reservation here) i ordered the Truffle & Parmesan Fries and Duck Barbacoa Tacos. The fries were tasty and the tacos were tiny and good but not spectacular. My drink consisted of a large chunk of ice and barely any liquid. The views are amazing especially the lift ride up and down. Go for the experience and take plenty of money.

Wonderful views as 3 sides have floor to ceiling windows. Great service. Mainly round tables if 3 or more so much more convivial to chat food good.

Locale molto frequentato e trendy situato al 40 esimo piano di un grattacielo con bellissima vista su Londra anche se in parte limitata dall’appartamento dei vetri. Servizio molto gentile ed efficiente. Il piatto tipico da cui prende il nome il ristorante va provato anche perchè l’abbinamento funziona. Viene servito con maple syrup per donargli un sapore piacevolmente dolce. Buona anche la Caesar Salad, oltretutto molto abbondante. Carta dei vini con ricarichi esorbitanti. Consiglio una semplice birra anche se con una scelta a dir poco limitata.

We went because it was the number one rated restaurant, the atmosphere is beautiful, the staff has five-star service, the dishes seem to be plated uniquely! And the flavor is wonderful! We really liked it! But don't think that the dishes are large, because they are not! The portions are tiny! But they are delicious!

Lovely venue, and service was impeccable.. food was ok but it was overpriced for what was on offer. Seemed a bit crammed in and noisy.. this place will not be here when the hype dies down.. but it was a nice evening.

Come for the views, stay for the food and service. Good venue for a special dinner. I was a little suspicious of savoury waffles, but the Duck on waffle is great. I'd argue the starters were even better. Harissa cauliflower was a win.

We visited Duck and Waffle as a birthday meal for my partner last week while visiting London from Scotland. We had what is perhaps the greatest dining experience I have ever had. The view overlooking London from the 40th floor of the building was (almost) as stunning as my date, and certainly a high point of the night. I tried the tartare to start with, something I have been uncertain about when I have seen it on any other menu. It turned out to be one of the best things I have eaten anywhere and genuinely blew me away. The signature duck and waffle dish also surprised me as someone who is not typically a fan of duck. Each of the cocktails I tried were very nice, in particular the waffle on the rocks drink which comes with maple syrup so you can adjust the sweetness to your liking. The staff were lovely, in particular Laura who was very friendly and attentive. Will definitely be coming back next time we are in London!

The food was lovely! We had the eponymous Duck and Waffle, and it lived up to expectations! The service was great! Boris was very friendly and took great care of us, and made our experience all the better. The view really makes this place extra special. The view is well worth the visit!! However, despite the restaurants name the waffles were lackluster. They did not appear to be fresh and were quite dry. The duck was great though.

This was my first time here and we went for my partners birthday. We were running late for our time and were the last reservation slot before lunch. The staff called to let me know and after telling them how much we were looking forward to their breakfast they said we will do our best. To our delight when we got there they had our table ready and held the kitchen for our order. We felt very well taken care of and that the service overall went above and beyond to accommodate us. On top of that the food was so delicious! We had the carmelized banana waffle and eggs florentine. So good! Full of flavor and delicious! They also brought out a small cupcake at the end for her birthday. So friendly and so good! Would go back in a heartbeat!

We had dinner plus drinks last night, and I must say that everything was absolutely delicious. The service from the entire staff was exceptional, with a special mention to Luis, who stood out for his friendliness and excellent recommendations. He really made our experience even more enjoyable. The night views of the city from the restaurant are simply spectacular, adding to the overall charm of the place. It’s a place we would highly recommend to anyone looking for a memorable dining experience.🤗

From the reception hostess who greeted me with a big smile to the waiter to each staff I pass by they all were super polite and with a big smile on their faces. Boris my waiter was extremely helpful and friendly. I was offered with the best seat in the restaurant, where I can actually see the Shared. He offered extra crisps to go with my beef tartare. I felt extremely special and was super happy. I’d highly recommend others to come here and I’ll definitely come back when I get a chance to visit London again. Thank you D&W for such a great experience!

The food is ok. The duck is very good, the waffle is meh. The syrup does not taste like real maple syrup and the mustard seeds are annoying. We were seated, ordered drinks that barely came before the food, and my husband's appetiser came a few minutes after his main. Everything felt rushed and not enjoyable.

We had such a great time for my partners birthday. Taken to our seats quickly, had an amazing view as requested as the time of booking, food was sensational! We loved our lobster roll, octopus and scallops. We had the signature duck and waffle for our mains. Boris advised we flip the egg face down onto the waffles and shred our duck and what a great idea it was. The texture and flavour came together nicely as we were so so so satisfied and we left smiling! I must say we were so lucky to have Boris looking after us, from the first interaction he was welcoming, funny and attentive, checked on us and laughed with us loads. He made the experience even better!

I'll tell you what , I was amazed. not only at the service , which I will say the waiters are full of positive energy. The value was ridiculous good. iam sitting on 40th floor over looking beautiful london, eating a English breakfast for 15 pounds.. come on what a ambience for value. definitely 1 million percent will be there soon.

Great food, amazing location BUT a sad example of a ship with no rudder when it comes to service. Inattentive wait staff had to be nudged to bring us a drink or answer a question on the menu. Our waiter just left at one point and eventually another stepped in, but wasn’t much better. We asked for the lunch to come in two stages, but they brought it all together, making us feel rushed. And so on… It’s such a great location, with a spectacular view of London. The elevator ride to the 40th floor is an experience in itself. But none of the staff appear to understand the opportunity they have to deliver a warm and welcoming service experience. I strongly recommend they find a copy of “unreasonable hospitality” by Will Guidara and learn more about how this restaurant could become so much better.

The fun starts with the elevator ride up to the 40th floor. The views are amazing, and having breakfast there was a unique experience. Both the quality of the food and the service were top-notch. From now on, I will recommend this place to everyone who visits London.

I so wanted to enjoy Duck and Waffle. Unfortunately, poor management saw to ensure a very poor experience. After we were seated, we waited 15 minutes for a server. After one did not come, I checked in with the host- who then directed a server to us five minutes later. Once our server took our order, he did not put it in until another 20 minutes (his own admission). Six tables were seated after us and finished their meal before we received our food. The views are great but service is just terrible. Just wow.

came here after the club at 6am was empty which is good and food was acc well nice and the views was beautiful. waiters was really nice too especially for our zombified selves 😭

We went for my friend's birthday and was served by the ball of energy that is Boris! He was amazing, recommending dishes immediately and he did not disappoint! Kept up the energy the entire time and even took great photos for us. Couldn't be happier with the service!

You are looking for an incredible view of London and tasty food? This is the place where both comes together! Located on the 40th floor Duck&Waffles really stands out in panoramic views by day and night and their really delicious and modern interpretation of various dishes. The service from the staff is really outstanding and definitely worth the money, they really try to satisfy everyone and make the visit to a memorable experience. I've had the Caesar's Salad with salmon and the corn ribs both really delicious and the Caesar's was a good portion for the money. The fantastic view is a big plus and definitely outstanding. For the "rush hours" it is recommanded to make a reservation but with a bit luck you get up without reservation but there is no guarantee then for a nice table with perfect view. All in all a really nice place and a must do while you visit London.

Visited for dinner - Thursday 29th Aug Delicious food - as always. Restaurants was freezing due to A/C being too high. Made the waiter aware of our discomfort, he informed his direct supervisor (an elderly Chinese man) who immediately dismissed it and offered no immediate solution. After 20 minutes at this table (directly beneath the A/C) the waiter offered an alternative table (which had always been available). As we began to move another party was shown to the table, this was very embarrassing, we then had to return to the uncomfortable table. Eventually we spoke with the manager, I explained the full experience and he immediately positioned us in a more comfortable part of the restaurant. More that 30 minutes of our dining experience was spent with the waiter speaking to various people, coming back and forth to our table (more than 5 times) during which time the temperature remained the same. This should have been dealt with immediately and discreetly. The Chinese man had the opportunity to do this, but chose not to.

Adam provided excellent service. The hash browns were out of this world. And I loved the creme brûlée fresh toast. Gorgeous view too.

You go for the view. The table was cramped we had 8 people sat around and no room for your elbows. The place was busy, a very mixed bag of people, families etc and the service was brilliant. I am not a fan of duck or waffles, oops. But I thoroughly enjoyed the visit. However not sure I would go again, ok maybe for the views and the elevator. Defo try this place.

You will be taken to the restaurant by a glass elevator, advance reservation is required, but it is a completely unique experience, amazing service, friendly, divine food. Views Top. I must definitely go back, £60 booking fee for 3 people, deducted from final price when paying on check out. So also absolutely great. I highly recommend it to everyone.

Well this is a shame. I have been to Duck and Waffle quite a few times over the years and every time the service has gone more and more downhill. When I went this week the service was really not great. Food came out at different times (my friend had finished her food before others came out and my chips came out 15 minutes after my duck and waffle…). Water was never refilled unless I literally hounded them, my friend asked for a straw four times, and we were basically ignored. When we pointed out multiple issues we had no apology, and most of the time the servers were rude, abrupt, or just didn’t care. At the end of the day, they get so much business these tables are going to be filled anyway. So it’s clear they don’t care. But for an ‘optional’ 14.5% service charge… they’re resting on their laurels a bit - especially as this is a ‘special place’ occasion where this is a significant amount of money where you expect to have some level of average service. The view is great and the food is great but I think that might be the last time I come, sadly.

Menu was different and tasty. Duck Barbacoa Taco was nice if a little bit on the small side for £8 each. Lobster roll and King Prawns were fab and would have again. However, our Hand Dived Scallops arrived on a chilled ajo blanco sauce, which caused the scallops to go cold. In addition, as the restaurant got quiter, the service fell off a cliff! Ironic... and a 14% service charge followed!

We had the vegetarian option, which was nice

Don’t wear a tank top - there is a dress code. But the food is great. The Bloody Mary tho was my fav for a while The views are stunning

A fabulous location on the 40th floor. All tables have a view. Very friendly staff. Menu presented both traditional and quirky options. The food presentation was fantastic and delicious. Highly recommend. Top tip - pre book to avoid disappointment

My croquettes were amazing. Service was very slow and we were the only people in the restaurant at 1:30am but the staff was all there. Mac and cheese was decent. No so Duck & waffles were not good.

Had a lovely experience at Duck & Waffle celebrating our Wedding Anniversary. Boris our waiter was great and very attentive (made us laugh too)! Both had to try the duck & Waffle and was not disappointed. Really good.

We came all the way from Canada and this might be the best service and food we've received (far surpassing The Savoy even). Boris** was an amazing server - charismatic, fun, knowledgeable, energetic, took serious note of allergies and how to accommodate those. He made the night hugely enjoyable. The manager, I believe, was also great about allergies and helped us out and made it a very positive experience. The whole team seemed to work together amazingly. Now to the food - again, I'm from Canada where I eat a lot of lobster and that was one of the best lobster rolls I've ever had. The duck was also cooked to perfection. Everything was great from the wine to the cheesecake. I very highly recommend this place. The view is great but that's secondary to the rest of it.

Loved this lamb dish so much. The flavours were beautiful and the lamb was tender and delicious. The prices are on the more expensive price, but it was a lovely meal and our server Boris was amazing! Would defo go back

We had a wonderful visit to Duck and Waffle on Sunday 25 August for my boyfriend’s birthday, the service was spectacular and food was incredible. Boris, our waiter deserves a very special mention for being a fantastic waiter with excellent people skills. We thoroughly enjoyed our brunch and will definitely be visiting again.

Stunning location, you can see all of London from above. The food is refined, with a few small shortcomings (for example, the lobster roll was a bit small and lacking in filling), but the main courses were good and plentiful. Excellent service. We were told several times by email to follow a proper dress code, defined by them as smart casual, specifying that tracksuits were not allowed. However, many guests were dressed in sportswear (almost like pajamas), so don't worry too much about it. The bill was appropriate. It's definitely worth a try.

Arrived and warmly welcomed by security which was pleasant ✅. Upstairs, arrived but notice of instruction to keep walking so waited at the bar before deciding to just walk ahead!! Water was not offered until asked even tho glass were out on the table! Cutlery 🍴 had to be asked for even tho food had been delivered. Asked for bbq sauce to avoid any special sauces due to allergies but it’s darker and doesn’t taste like bbq!! I started itching and wrapped up the night! The aged beef is too salty!! Waiter was calm and lovely nevertheless

If there's a place to say you've gone to, it's Duck & Waffle. The views are incredible, the food is unique and delicious. The drink menu is also top notch. I recommend if you have the time, make a reservation and check it out, you won't be disappointed.

Went for a sunrise breakfast but the service was shocking. Firstly they told us that we could order at 5am for breakfast and then later said they got it wrong and it was 6am. We then had a couple of minutes before the late night menu ended to order which felt rushed. We ordered coffees straight away, however these came after the food arrived. I ordered a latte which was stronger than the flat white that my partner had, and tasted very bitter for a latte. I asked if I could have poached eggs instead of scrambled eggs and they rudely said no, however they allowed my partner to swap and change his eggs which was really confusing. We ordered tomato ketchup, although this took around 15 mins to come to the table - leaving the food go really cold. The views were absolutely amazing, however the service was a complete let down and really ruined our experience.

Great view, really nice atmosphere, staff are friendly and attentive even when busy. Good is very good, particularly the duck and waffle and the iced Caramel Macchiato!

Duck and Waffle is delicious! Must order! The duck legs are juicy and fragrant! The whole dish tastes salty and sweet, great! The non-alcoholic cocktails are quite delicious and can be used to relieve fatigue. Corn 🌽 is also quite delicious. I also had salmon salad, toasted French toast with some sausage and hash browns. These were also delicious ~ the view was great and the price was reasonable, so be sure to make a reservation! Highly recommend this restaurant~

My friend and I came in for brunch this morning and were delighted to have Boris as our waiter. From the start he was so friendly and welcoming and was even more funny! He went above and beyond to take photos of the views for us! An absolute pleasure!

A very nice view and delicious food.

Their signature meal was nothing special. we tried banana ice cream dessert and it was way too sweet and taste cheap. The seating was cramped. overall, it is a very disappointing experience. The only good thing is the service and the view.

Great atmosphere - Delicious food and Great Service with our waiter Boris ☺️ . If you're looking for nice brunch during the weekend, I recommend you the Duck and Waffle as it also has the panoramic view of London.

Had the full English breakfast and was certainly not disappointed. Service was fast and our server Dhanesh was great. The atmosphere was so comforting. Food arrived warm and delicious and I enjoyed it throughly. I will definitely come back again to enjoy the breakfast here with my friends, to share the experience

Well worth the experience thumbs up

Champagne (and coca cola) breakfast for a family of three. We had full English, Columbian breakfast and chocolate waffles. Service was excellent, food lovely and no pressure. It was a rainy day so views not as good as they could have been but still a clear view for a few miles. Tolerated our ten year old SEN son very well.

I love this place so much. The view is priceless. The Truffle polenta, Duck & Waffle (+ the veggie alternative) were all so delicious!!! The staffs also surprised my girlfriend for our anniversary with a dessert. We loved our time here. Can't wait to be back again.

**Food** The food was really good. The portions are on a smaller side for the price, but I feel like you're paying for the view more than anything. We ordered the BBQ pig ears, duck and waffle, lobster roll, cheesecake and apple Chantilly. The BBQ pig ears on the bar snack menu came in a paper bag which was really odd as the oil started seeping through the bag, and it was really salty, so I wouldn't recommend or order that again. Also, I think the 12am-5.30am menu has more options on it than the regular menu. **Location** Based on the 40th floor, you get a nice view of the city, but I feel like the Sky Garden has a slightly better view. We booked for 5.30pm so it was a quieter than peak dinner time, but as the evening progresses they start to increase the music volume and darken the lighting to create that bar like ambience **Service** Our waiter was enthusiastic and very cheery which was really nice. We did split the bill (between 6 people), and noticed that in terms of tech wise, other restaurants have invested in devices that were able to automatically split the payment instantly, whereas they needed to manually get a calculator out. Very minor point but it's just for feedback.

Unfortunately I can’t properly rate d&w because tell me why I drove ALLL the way to London from Milton Keynes for a spontaneous midnight dining experience with my girl just to get to the restaurant and the security says “we’re closed for maintenance”. So your team couldn’t bother to update socials? Google? Please do better next time, especially if your whole USP is 24Hours or midnight whatever it is, so disappointing. Luckily there was another 24h place nearby.

I have nothing negative to say about this restaurant. We were the noise and they allowed us. We had such a lovely time. The view was breathtaking and unforgettable. Going up in the lift was crazy 😜. But we loved it.

Had a GREAT experience given by Silvino. From helping me to choose the drinks to being very friendly with us, he has made our wedding anniversary celebration even more special. The views from the restaurant are also stunning. The full moon over London skyline is stunning.

Pretty decent place, we only had one drink which was pretty good but also very pricey. But that was expected considering the view you get from that place. And the staff was very friendly to us so all in all we had a pleasant visit.

The experience that my wife and I had at the Duck & Waffle in London will forever remain etched in our memories. The entire evening was made extra special by the head Chef, Atilla Pinter, who is that rarest of people, a genuine wizard when it comes to preparing a fantastic array of dishes, but also a host beyond compare, displaying immense warmth, attention to detail and sincerely wanting people to enjoy themselves. A special shoutout to the cheesecake which is easily the best we've had anywhere in the world. Kudos also to the entire waitstaff who took hospitality to another level and made us feel so comfortable we thought we were amongst friends at home. This entire experience was amplified by the sun setting over magnificent views of the city, altogether making it an experience that one simply can't afford to miss while you’re in London.
