I like to meet here as there is no muzak and it's therefore possible to hear each other even when the pub is busy - which it normally is.Also, you cannot normally reserve tables (although I noticed on this occasion that an area had been cordoned of for a private party) and it's so popular it can be difficult to get a table. I got there about 5.30pm and managed to join 3 tables for 2 together and hang onto them til my friends arrived at 6pm. The upside is that you can stay as long as you like (whereas a restaurant might expect you to move on so they can fit in another sitting).Although you have to order at the bar, food is pleasantly served at the table. Prices are excellent and we all enjoyed our meal - there are a variety of dishes - 3 had steak as it was 'steak night'. We all had drinks with our food, an additional bottle of wine and coffees, and tap water was readily supplied. Given how busy it was we did not have to wait long to order.A pity they do not offer decaffeinated tea.

The title may seem to suggest that our visit was a disappointment. However, that is not the intention. What I mean is that you always know what to expect at a Weatherspoons as they seem consistent throughout the country, wherever you go. Whilst on a day visit to London we went for a few beers and a meal at the Green Man. My husband and I both ordered sirloin steaks, which arrived in an acceptable time. The steaks were cooked well, but my husband's vegetables were cold. The member of staff called Ron asked about our meal. On mentioning our dissatisfaction with the temperature of the vegetables, Ron was apologetic and asked if he could recompense us in any way? My husband asked for a replacement jacket potato, and we were both offered a free drink and dessert which we gratefully accepted. Ron's pleasant and apologetic attitude was very pleasing and turned our initial disappointing meal into a more pleasant experience. Ron is a credit to the company and his obliging manner to ensure we left satisfied was exemplary.

The easiest review I have ever had to make. They were shut. We were in London for the day having planned to visit this particular spoons prior to a timed visit at nearby The Shard. Having travelled via Bank underground station, we found the pub to be part of a recent development but for the supposedly commercial centre of the City, the area seemed to be on the quiet side for a wet Saturday at the start of the year. With a hastily repaired chipboard former window in the entrance door, we were surprised to find the pub closed and no explanation as to why. Thankfully, having done my homework, there was an alternative spoons, The Crosse Keys, but a 10 minute walk away so we went there instead. When I enquired there if the bar staff knew why the Green Man was closed, the suggestion was that it was closed because it was a quiet time of year; the Crosse Keys, they said, was only just breaking even. This is an interesting one then. If its true, then Wetherspoons, the self appointed champion of keeping pubs open for the local community appear to be closing select venues because they aren't making enough money? Or has someone in their marketing department overestimated the potential of the area? Their website didn't suggest the pub was now closed but curiously they are planning to open another yet another outlet in the area later this year?Rents and business rates too high? Punters rejecting the steady creep of Americanisation of brands and meals available? The loss of traditional meat and 2 veg from the menus? The days of Wetherspoons offering a fair priced pub lunch with a fair priced beer now lost and long gone into the greedy mist of commercialism? I think we should be told..

All the usual strengths of the Wetherspoon's brand: cheap, reliable, efficient, clean, good customer service. Of course, with this also comes the fact that it's pretty bland and more or less just like every other Wetherspoon's, but I think that the advantages win over the disadvantages. The main reason for visiting this place is the great value for money, especially in this part of London. Overall, nothing special, but worth knowing that it's there.

I visited the green man on a recent trip to London with my son. The place seemed fairly quiet but it was a Monday. This was my first visit to a Wetherspoon's but my son assured me that we couldn't go wrong as they serve " good man sized portions and reasonable prices". The food was reasonable. I had a steak and ale pie which was nice but a lot of pastry made it very heavy. My son had a mixed grill which looked nice. The service was good. For London I think the prices were reasonable, about £7 for a main course, though you could have a baked potato for £4 odds I think. If you are in London and don't want your eating out allowance to rocket then this place will fill you up without breaking the bank and the menu provides a good choice of pub style grub to cater for most tastes.

I recently dined at Frankie and Benny’s and unfortunately, the experience left a lot to be desired. The service was subpar, with the waiter taking a full 30 minutes to bring over a simple Coke Zero. This only happened after I reminded him 20 minutes in, and he still had to double-check what I’d ordered. The drink eventually arrived alongside the food, which added to the frustration. As for the food, the Festive Burger was disappointing. The patty appeared undercooked, lacked any real flavour, and didn’t deliver the satisfying crunch I was hoping for. The chips were overly greasy and equally unappealing. Adding to the inconvenience, there were no napkins provided, and I had to request them separately. The dessert was the final letdown. The profiterole dish was frozen solid, making it nearly impossible to eat with the provided spoon – a saw would have been more useful! Overall, this was a very disappointing experience. From lacklustre service to underwhelming food, it’s not somewhere I’d rush back to.

Siamo andati a visitare Londra e come zona dove trovare l'hotel abbiamo scelto Hammersmith.

We had the most amazing experience. Great service and great people, especially AJ, Alisha, and Titch. We were given a fantastic room as well as complimentary drinks and fruit platter. We will definitely be coming back soon. This is a great hotel, in a very vibrant part of city.. We had a great time.
