Food was good, service was mediocre, I believe they can improve way more. Also their breakfast price was a bit higher compared to other places nearby

This is the Danubius breakfast. It loses when compared to the Buffett breakfast at the Meliá, on the other side of Regents Park.

We ate in the Restaurant twice during our stay, good choice of food at very reasonable prices. Food was quickly served, hot and plentiful.

Minsky's New York Deli & Restaurant is where breakfast is served for the hotel guests. We stayed for two nights and enjoyed the cooked English breakfasts. These always set us up for the day so we don't book unless a full breakfast is included. The only downside is that they insist on crowding the plate with pots for baked beans. A minor gripe for what was very good food.

Not a bad buffet for breakfast if included with hotel stay. If it weren’t included I’d go elsewhere for breakfast. I wouldn’t go there for lunch or dinner.

Attended annual memorial meal with friends. Meal served by efficient and pleasant staff. Pre-chosen menu dishes served in open plan foyer alcove was enjoyable. My correct choices delivered to my place without confusion or error. The only query I would have was my choice of banana and caramel eton mass, as it tasted like a lot of artificial tasteless cream with slices of banana and not eton mess - I would not go for that again.

Joined friends for afternoon tea..... mediocre..... no idea what it cost as we were guests but I would not have paid very much........ the restaurant was boiling hot with no AC....... the food was average....... the tea stewed and the service level poor........ I would not go again even for free!

Had a fun group evening here. Service was professional, attentive and friendly. Good ambience and hotel a great location for the lovely Regent's Park and Lords Cricket Ground. Enjoyed choice from set dinner menu.

Last time I was here I only had BF at Minsky's which was very good and well worth it's money. This time I tried lunch and a function dinner and have to say that the staff makes the difference! The food is prepared to order, fresh and tasty. I nearly gave it an excellent, the only reason I didn't is because of the crowded setting when the hotel is full. So the ambiance is hotel restaurant, the food and service is fine dining .. And the prices are adequate!

Good atmosphere. We had the set menu which was tasty and the service staff were very pleasant and helpful.

Went on Sunday 9 December 2018 for a birthday meal with my brother to the Sunday Carvery, although there was a large party there about 30 persons, the food quality was not as good as our last visit on Sunday 4 March 2018. A rapid decline in food standards. There is too much detail to write here, some details include soup in the urn no idea what it was, told it was asparagus, but did not taste of it, no one really knew what it was. For the chef-d'oeuvre not a bad selection of cold meats, and fish, there were several mixed salad containers but no idea what was in the contents so I left them, no staff around to ask. Turkey was a crown not a turkey bird, slices dry and without flavour, second crown was the same, you can buy in ones local supermarket, best part was the well-done roast beef and Yorkshire pudding. Vegetables I had were not cooked properly, over cooked and tasteless, sprouts with chestnut pieces dry, sprouts inedible, cauliflower no flavour, stuffing roll-slice overcooked and dried out. Sausages and bacon unsmoked rashers not cooked thoroughly, onion-asparagus tartlet was overcooked and fell apart on my plate, another style had goats cheese in, cannot eat this type of cheese, white/yellow rice again no one to ask what the yellow was, So the only vegetables I could eat were the roast potatoes. For dessert had some chocolate cake and fresh fruit pieces that was good. So I complained to the Hotel, several e-mails and telephone conversations we received a full refund for two meals and two soft drinks. We will not be returning here, last time we came there was a proper turkey not a block of meat. There were no food allergy labels anywhere once again, but had been advised this was going to be done, but not carried out, so ask before you select from the buffet. No senior member of staff came over to ask if the meal was fine, over priced for poor quality. Went on Sunday 9 December 2018. Report written Monday 24 December 2018.

Yesterday we took a family group of eleven adults and two children to the Sunday Carvery in Minsky's Restaurant. On arrival we were warmly greeted and seated in this delightfully decorated and spacious room. The vast buffet selection was beautifully presented with an array of absolutely delicious food which satisfied the meat eaters, vegetarians, vegans and gluten free members of our party. Included in the very reasonable price (50% discount for the children) were fresh rolls and butter as well as limitless bottle of water, and a huge range of teas and coffees. This was not our first visit and the high standard never varies. All the staff really seem to care that your experience is enjoyable.

As last December came here to celebrate a birthday.Unlike last year a very unsatisfactory experience. The selection of dishes has got less.There are no signs that tell you what each dish is.There was no Roast Turkey,just Turkey breast my brother said it was dry.Brussels were undercooked and cauliflower overcooked. For desert there was just fresh fruit and cake.To cap it all we were brought the wrong bill.Unless it improves we are unlikely to return.

The service and atmosphere are fine, but the choice and quality of the food has deterioriated considerably since my last visit a year ago. There are fewer starter choices. There was no turkey or chicken available in the carvery, just beef, pork and fish. Apple pie - their best dessert - was not available. Nearly everyone in my party of eleven said, "Let's go somewhere else next time", which is my view also.

I have to come to London several times a month and if my schedule allowed I always have breakfast at Minsky’s. Today I was served by Demetri and his fast, prompt and courteous service with a smile made my morning! Decode is dated, but good and service make well up for it.

It's time to modernize and get a little more creative with the menu, including adding some healthy vegetarian and vegan options.

The charges for a hotel guest are 11 Pounds. The staff is very friendly, quick in bringing all choices of hot drinks and makes any Omelette with special requests to order. It is not an elaborate buffet but very sufficient and well presented and fresh.

Sunday carvery at Minsky’s in the Danubius Hotel hidden away near Lord’s Cricket Ground. Hotel is a blast from the past but look beyond this for a great value and delicious Sunday lunch.

Attached to the Danubius Hotel, there is no need to go out for dinner; their meals are tasty and well presented. I especially enjoyed their breakfast. A perfect place to go before heading out to tour or go shopping.

Minsky's has a good assortment of breakfast options. Some are better than others. Waitstaff is a bit aloof, not very proactive bringing the coffee to the table.

Just low ratings :( You must be your own judge and try their dinner buffet on Saturday evening. It is amazzzzzzzing and the staff are most attentive and welcoming! Nitin the manager certainly sets the tone for a pleasant dinning experience from the second you step into the restaurant. Thoroughly enjoyed the turkey and roast beef carvings and all that the buffet had to offer and look forward to my next trip to London to dine there again! Their breakfast buffet is great as well!

My husband and I spent two weeks at this hotel and ate at Minsky's every day. We were never disappointed in the fair. Wonderfully tasting. Favourites The Carvery; the hamberger, the pizza, the pan fried fish - YUM!!!, the chicken Korma - Oh, I believe I could list the entire menu. It was all that good. We loved the breakfast.

One of the best eating place in London. Love the food as well as the atmosphere. They serve great breakfast here.

La primera mañana nos decidimos probar el desayuno en el hotel. El personal era amable, pero sólo nos trajeron café y no el té que habíamos pedido (tuvimos que recordarles). Todos los cereales eran tan duras que podían haber servido para lastimar a alguien. Deben haber sido por lo menos un día si no más. El zumo (tanto la manzana y naranja) sabía más como un cordial dulce. El resto de la selección (alternativas fríos y calientes disponibles) estaba bien. No volver a cualquiera de las otras mañanas. Con una nevera en la habitación era tanto más fácil, más barato, y mejor a comprar yogurt, fruta fresca y sandwishes que pudimos comer en la mañana para el desayuno.

Went here with a couple of friends for my birthday, using a groupon deal. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. The afternoon tea had a small selection of sandwiches with cakes and scones plus a choice of tea or coffee. I think a few more sandwiches would have been nice but with the groupon deal it only worked out at £10 per head, so can't complain, although not sure I would want to pay any more for this. Overall we had a lovely afternoon and would definitely recommend it.

I haven't been here for years but decided to try it again after I finished at Lord's.I had to wait a bit as it doesn't open till 6pm.There are various meats and salads to chose from as starters.Then the main course was roast turkey or beef.Plus Yorkshire pudding and vegetables.Delicious and filling.They had an alternative of chocolate cake,cheese or fruit salad.Will my coke cost me £26.I greatly enjoyed it.

Went there today with group of friends. Pleasant venue.friendly staff and good food! Was buffet style...a soup,a range of starters,assorted mains including fish,a very good lamb stew,moussaka, a pasta dish and assorted vegetables. Afters ...fruit salad apple tart.icecream etc. Price reasonable. Recommended!

Wonderful array of choices from their Sunday buffet. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the prime rib at the carving station. Delicious dessert options.

This was a wonderful and memorable evening out to celebrate my mum's birthday. The Carvery is set within the stylish, yet extremely comfortable, Minsky's Restaurant with fantastic views overlooking Lord's Cricket Ground. The food and service we received were second to none. The choice and standard of the Carvery, again excellent. We both went for the beef which, I have to say, was the finest we'd ever tasted in our lives! The staff here were just superb. I found their service and care above and beyond the call of duty. Everything was so personal, as if specifically tailored for us. As for value for money, we certainly got it here! My mum was given the time of her life; what a venue in which to celebrate. We will certainly come again!

High quality food and service - just enough to make an enjoyable visit without being overbearing. Special dietary needs happily accommodated.

We found the restaurant via a Groupon offer and it fitted well with staying in Swiss Cottage a few days. Set menu was of course limited but still an interesting choice. The quality was good and portion sizes huge. Ambience was typical 4* hotel. Would definitely visit again but may choose to leave the included house wines and choose from a wine list.

Visited this Restaurant for Afternoon Tea and very nice it was too. nice variety of sandwiches, scones and cakes. Great service and excellent coffee.

Breakfast - buffet ....good range of food on display. cooked food - with exception of the hash browns - was very tasty. Eggs were freshly cooked and a member of staff was on hand if there was any problems. Staff attentive and helpful ... a good start to the day before the test match.Carvery .... Where were the staff? Where was the help? Left with wine list but no-one came back .. had to wave waitress down as if a London cab. More than once we tried to get the attention of a member of staff.. it proved difficult. Come on folks ... it's a serve yourself carvery ... means the staff have little to do .... and little they did!!!Most of the food - especially the beef was super ..... salad passed muster but the desserts were a let down.Why? 1 - They looked nothing like the photos placed around the hotel.2 - The cheesecakes/gateaux had been left unattended with meant that lots of the customers had cut them badly - used the wrong implements and had cross contaminated the various flavours - chocolate all over the lemon cheesecake etc - The area had become a mess. This problem was avoidable with a little bit monitoring by the staff.Cheese and biscuits - OK ... fairly limited selection of cheese and no hint of an extra or two - a piece of celery or a grape or two.My scores below reflect an average over the 2 meals ........ certainly the staff - especially on a test match day - need to do a far better job in the evenings.

Ate here for breakfast whilst in hotel and particularly enjoyed the omelettes cooked to order for us each morning. Also had a meal one evening which was good value but somewhat spoilt by being too salty.

Having read some of the other bad reviews about Minskys, I was really reluctant to use my Groupon voucher for a 3 course meal and wine - however all my fears were allayed. The restaurant is closed at present and so the dinner was served in the bar area, which was very comfortable and relaxing. The staff, particularly Julia, couldn't have been more attentive and my friends and I had a delightful evening. Thank you very much.

I bought a Groupon for the cream team for 2 at Minsky's and took my partner. The hotel does not look very appealing on the outside, but on the inside it's lovely and very marbly. We were greeted by a smart looking man who seated us promptly, and within a few minutes a woman came over to ask what tea or coffee we wanted and explain our sandwich choice, I said I did not like salmon and asked if this could be swopped to cheese and cucumber which she said was ok.Our cake and sandwich selection arrived quickly, there was egg and cress, turkey and tomato jam, cheese and cucumber and salmon for my partner. The bread was light and fresh and the fillings were lovely. There were 5 mini cakes, one a chocolate coconut truffle which was lovely and chocolatey, a mini carrot cake, a mini cream sponge, a very moist and lovely apricot cake, and a cream and chocolate basket, all of which were nice and tasty.There were 4 scones, 2 plain and 2 currant, a generous pot of cream and pots of strawberry jam. The scones were light and slightly warm, and did not cloy or have a powdery taste that scones can often leave. All in all the cream was delicious and my partner and I both enjoyed it.The only thing if I am being pedantic would be good is if we had another pot of tea the tea was polished off before the cakes, it would also have been nice if service had asked if everything was ok after our cakes were served.The music in Minskys was relaxing and the room was fine, I am not sure why some writers feel the room was dated as it was comfortable with no complaints.I went to the toilet after situated near the lounge, and the toilets were clean and the hand wash and hand lotion was lovely and smelt great, they even had an electronic hand towel dispenser.My partner and I enjoyed our relaxing time at Minskys and would come back if in the area. I felt the service was impressive in terms of speed of service.

Been here many times for the Sunday carvery, great staff, service, food is wonderful, a very enchanting place, so relaxed my hubby never complains when we eat here, great value for money.

We have eaten here many Sunday's for the Calvert, staff are friendly, service is wonderful and the food is amazing, this really is value for your money, the decor seems to take you back in time, such a wonderful experience.

We booked our table well in advance, as advised. Upon arrival, we were a bit early and the staff were cordial. We didn't dine in Minsky's that evening. Instead, we were shown to the bar area and were able to choose a table. They were not using the restaurant that evening. Although the bar was pleasant, we felt a bit short changed - and soon discovered other Groupon people were dining in that area! There was a feeling of 'voucher type people go here.' We were not happy with the glass of wine served as part of the offer - ther was no choice other than house red or house white and usually, the house wine is acceptable. We then asked for the wine list and chose accordingly - and were then treated very well. Staff weren't rude, just a bit nicer to us when we started ordering stuff we would pay extra for! It was quite funny really. The food was very good and the three courses were just right portion wise. Decor is a bit tired and dull.

First up, we didn't actually get beyond our drinks, but that was because of a mix up (entirely my fault) and my better half wanted something different. That said, the staff were incredibly polite and professional and the manager bent over backwards to try and help us. I thought the food looked great and to receive such top quality service is a real pleasure. I'll be back, I know.

Poor Service, Starters were okay. The Beef Brisket was over cooked and tasted rather bland and to make bad situation worse the fresh fruit salad for dessert was actually frozen tin fruit! rather disappointed by the experience. Avoid it like a plague!

I have eaten in the restaurant a couple of times and each time the food lacked seasoning and taste, even the curries!!The decor is very dated and lacking a theme, despite the name of the restaurant. The menu selection is pretty basic and uninspiring but it does have a set menu if you cannot be bothered to choose from a la carte. I cannot comment on dessert as I did not have one. All in all an uninspiring experience.

Very dull hotel restaurant decor. Menu looks OK but food only adequate. Service slow and unhelpful. If you are staying in the hotel and cannot be bothered to go elsewhere then it is adequate.

We had a wonderful time in Minsky's Restaurant today when we went in for afternoon tea.The afternoon tea is quite average but the atmosphere and service are fantastic. I am actually rating it 4 mainly for the excellent service we got. The staff were very amenable and helpful. We had a baby with us and the staff ensured we were in a comfortable table and helped us with the buggy etc. Would definitely go again to try lunch/dinner

I was given a Groupon voucher which was for afternoon tea for 4 at Minsky's. I have been to the restaurant for Sunday lunch and a couple of other occasions in the evening and the Sunday one in particular was very good. The afternoon tea however, was a different matter. The sandwiches were very ordinary, with no speciality breads. The fillings thin, and the cream cheese and cucumber one in particular tasteless. We were also given fruited scones and plain scones which were good, along with 10 miniscule (one-bite) cakes. Not divisable by 8, and being so small you couldn't cut them in half! As it was, we weren't over hungry so this didn't become an issue! The breakfast tea on offer was awful! Sorry Minsky's but considering your carvery is pretty good, you need to up your game here and bring your afternoon tea into the same league!

I redeemed an AmazonLocal voucher, and I now understand why the entire dining room was empty, and why they need to coupon.The dining room decor is circa 1985 USA. The theme is "Minsky's New York Deli" though this is neither a deli nor New York-style food.All the food is canned, boxed, or pre-bought. They served canned peaches on the salad (in summer!). The "Mussels Provencale" was canned mussels, served with canned veg, in a stew. The "sponge cake with custard" was obviously store-bought (or just very old from the previous week) covered in storebought custard.In London, it's shocking anyone would operate a restaurant like this. I ended up getting sick later in the evening.I've lived in London for 6 months and this is the worst meal I've had here, by a long shot.

Had Indian buffet whilst staying here food was nice enough. Good service. There could have been a bit more of wider selection. Good value though £16 each including a drink.

I ate in the bar /restaurant alone whilst staying at the Danubius on a Saturday night. The restaurant has a carvery on a Saturday which does not appeal to me so I ate in the bar restaurant from a good choice of options. I had chicken with mushrooms and chips followed by a dessert of ice cream. The food was tasty and service good. I don't like eating alone but it was necessary on this occasion. It is a good place to eat alone as there are plenty of quiet seats and there was a pianist playing in the background.

Sunday Lunch at a Carvery ..should be ideal...but.....Arrived at 13.00 restaurant very quiet..starters actually very good choice and looked very fresh. Main meal beef and Turkey fresh but very little choice of tired vegetables and undercooked roast potatoes. Desserts little choice of tired cake and dry cheese.....ice cream was OK..but tasted like cheap supermarket own brand.Service was OK as a lot of staff and few customers.This is a very rare poor review from me and even though meal cost £20 , which is not bad for a London Hotel, something is very wrong......Great Shame.

The food quality is great and there are enough menu options to cater to the most fussy of eaters. The servings are generous.

Travelling to the Danubius Hotel by bus was easy ... actually arriving in the restaurant was a nightmare and involved a chair lift, stairs and another chair lift which wasn't working. The actual Afternoon Tea was delicious and the staff very helpful and courteous but struggling down the stairs from the restaurant was something we won't repeat. It really isn't acceptable these days, not t have true access for people with limited walking let alone wheelchairs - and the hotel isn't "listed"!! This experience has made us aware that a phone call is paramount, whether to a restaurant or other venue!If you are able bodied, we recommend Minsky's!

The Danubius Hotel Afternoon tea was the most pleasant experience I've ever come across! The staff were AMAZING! So very helpful and attentive! The hotel/restaurant was lovely! We were so happy! They catered for quite a big party and we all were dry impressed at how they handled us as there were 17 all together! 9 adults! 7 children and a baby! To cope with the children alone was impressive. I would say it is family orientated and able to cater to anyone with or without children. They were absolutely fabulous! Thank you for making my daughter Miss Malaika-Rose' 2nd birthday one to remember! It was special :)P.S. The tea itself was great but the service was 10 STARS!!! We had fun.

My husband and I visited this restaurant on a last minute voucher deal. The deal included 3 courses from a set menu and a glass of wine each. I ordered beef brisket starter, mushroom gnocchi main and chocolate cheesecake. He had the mussels to start, pork for main with squeak and apple tart tatin. The starters were good although my beef was slightly dry. My gnocchi was superb, just the way I like it! The pork was under seasoned but everything else was delicious. The only thing that let the meal down was the desserts. Both dry and tasted shop bought, not fresh at all. We were offered warm bread rolls by our helpful staff and the surroundings were visually pleasing! We'd certainly recommend this place!

A typical hotel buffet breakfast. Good food and plenty of choice. The 5 course evening carvery buffet was very good value . The food was delicious especially the roast beef and there was lots of choice. The service was professional and with a smile and there was a very pleasant atmosphere in the restaurant.

Good variety provided....I especially liked the egg scramble....was really delicious. Good views of Regent's park which made the experience even better
