Awful meal. Booked using Groupon and despite saying Glueten intolerant upon booking arrived to be told no gluten free options on the menu (unless but additional dish). Took 85 minutes to serve a starter and main (I had to go without) and so we had to leave before dessert we paid for. Worst of all I asked the waiter if we could speak to the duty manager and he said he asked but the manager refused to come. Awful awful experience. Look at my feedback and you will see I normally leave 5 star reviews so this was not me being picky.

We recently dined here pre-theatre and had a couple of dietary requests, which we sent over in advance of the visit. Michael was very quick to respond and couldn't have been more helpful. When we arrived for our meal Kim was our hostess and made sure that everything we'd previously enquired about had been confirmed. She is one of the most pleasant people we've encountered at a restaurant and nothing was too much trouble for her. Would definitely dine here again when in London.

This is a well located hotel that shows promise. Loved access to the city, breakfast was terrific, and staff was friendly. The challenges: Our room was just hot. At least 10-15 degrees more warm than the hallway and the lobby. After three requests, the manager told me that they had an AC problem on the 4th floor that couldn’t be fixed and they couldn’t move us. No one happened to mention that the air was out when we checked in. The doors in the hallway have no mechanism to soften the closing of the door. So, all night long you hear your neighbors doors slam shut as they enter /exit. I asked the reception to reserve a taxi the evening before our departure. I wasn’t confident that she would do so, so I asked again. She said not to worry that we would have a taxi in the morning. At 8AM we were ready to depart, with all our luggage and HAD NO TAXI !!! This hotel could be great, but simply does not deliver.

So we got RIPPED off for $ 1300.00!!! With all the great hotels in London, stay away from this one , it’s business practice is shady and fraudulent!!!!

The position is very convenient, just near Trafalgar Square yet in a quiet street. We arrived early, just to deop off some luggage, but were given a room atraight away and were lucky to be given an upgrade (room 318). The reception and public places are neat and stylish with quick friendly desk service. The room was quite large with a massive king size comfortable bed, a well detailed shower room and bedroom fittings. The tea making tray ( stored in a drawer) was well stocked. We had no noise from outside (facing a back street with interesting rooftop views) and very little from the corridor and slept really well. The room and the public spaces were very clean. Breakfast was in a pleasant room with outside views at street level, the food was well presented and staff efficient and pleasantly courteous. Would we stay here again? Yes please.

My husband and I stayed here on 20th Sept- 22nd Sept in a junior suite on the 6th floor, room 616. It was a really fantastic size, very spacious. Enormous king size bed, not like the usual king size we have at home, this was huge! Had a really comfortable sleep too! During the night we heard hardly any noise from the streets which was brilliant, considering we were so close to Leicester Square! Perfect position for West End shows, sights and shopping. The hotel is very clean, as was our room on arrival. Staff were extremely helpful and polite at all times. The buffet breakfast was lovely, cooked breakfast, cereals, pastries etc, loads of choice. Had a fab stay here. Our only little niggle was the sound of the building work going on in the building opposite our hotel room. It wasn't the hotels fault, so I can't possibly lower the 5 stars I am giving and to be honest, most of the time we were out of the hotel so it didn't cause too much of a problem. I can thoroughly recommend this hotel and I guarantee we'll be back!

This hotel is just off Trafalgar Square and enabled us to visit galleries, a choice of restaurants and to take in a show in the West End, all within easy walking distance. The hotel has an efficient reception, we had a well-furnished room, quite big by London standards, and with a smart bathroom. There was a very comfortable bed and with no noise from outside or other rooms meant we slept very well. We had a drink one evening in the bar, but frankly this was a bit soul-less and with a limited range of drinks - with so many bars and restaurants close by we should have used one of them.

I've stayed at this small hotel 3 times now. It is well run, cozy, quiet and in the heart of London. Generally, when you book online you get a large, excellent hot and cold breakfast included. The basic rooms are quite small so I you might want to upgrade to a king size bed or better yet a suite room. I was a bit disappointed on my last visit to find the tv channels available were very limited - several in French and German but no BBC news or CNN. I had been travelling in Europe for a few weeks and was missing access to world news in English.

Truth be told, this is my second visit in the past 3 years and the hotel itself is kept well, staff is terrific and the location is perfect. OK, so this might not be a boutique hotel based on European standards, but this is a smaller hotel with small rooms. I would give it 5 stars if not for the fact the rooms don't really have any free space. My wife and I had to consolidate our clothes into 1 suitcase which we left in a corner. The other suitcase was left in the closet. You have easy access to a large variety of restaurants, and walking distance to many key areas such as Piccadilly Circle, Buckingham Palace, Parliament, and the tour buses. I would give it 5 stars if not for the room size.

What a disappointment. The food was awful. Finger sandwiches of, cheese and pickle, tuna and cucumber, egg and ham. Not exactly gourmet food. Just one bite size piece of cake per person which was nothing special. Two spoonfulls of a sort of cheesecake. Crumbly base, runny sauce and a custard topping. The scones were the worst I have ever had. The texture was more like a rock cake. We thought they may have been stale. Then to add insult to injury, there was the minimal amount of jam and cream. All of which made them very hard to swallow. Oh yes, there was a minute amount of some sort of cinnamon topping. Not at all pleasant. The staff spoke very little English and spent a lot of time running round asking if you had finished with your teapot. I also saw a cake stand being whisked away from another table. I dread to think how they would cope if it was busy. How can you advertise afternoon tea if you can't even supply the basics?I have had many afternoon teas in and around London and this has to be by far the worst.

We stayed here for one night and although the room was fine the breakfast served was terrible. The coffee was clearly stewed and far from fresh. The croissants and pain au chocolat were stale and a day or two old. The orange juice diluted so obviously that it was not worth drinking; the mushrooms served were so tasteless that they clearly had come straight from a tin! The potatoes were again chewy and old - obviously left over from yesterday. I think for over £200 per night this effort at breakfast is a total insult and the kitchen should be re-evaluated in terms of all these issues.
