The best restaurants serving British food in London

I had just taken my cat to the PDSA nearby and whilst waiting for my bus I stopped to get a drink. James served me and he was so friendly, helpful and nice when I enquired if I could go through to the garden with my cat. He went out of his way to find something for my cat to drink some water from and was more than helpful when I asked if rather than go to the ladies toilet I could use the accesible one. Excellent customer service skills and after what had been a worrying time for me and my cat being distressed made me feel at ease and comfortable which in turn so did my baby cat so a big thank you to him A lovley relaxing friendly pub and great staff.

Después de un retraso de 3 horas expreso nacional de Cardiff necesitábamos sustento. Directamente fuera de la estación de autobuses Victoria a la taberna de viajeros. Gran servicio al cliente, gran vibra, buena comida a precios razonables y Scott robó el espectáculo. Mientras limpiaba nuestra mesa entabló conversación y fue muy amable e informativo. Nunca cambies a Scott.

Ordered two pints of Guinness $17!!!! Bartender was super nice. Bathroom needed attention. My first pub visit in England. I’m guessing it was so much due to being near a tube station and in central London.

We Booked a table for 6 people we arrived to Football hooligans sat there shouting and talking they had the cheek to add burgers to our order food was cold we ate it and left toilets aren't the greatest won't be going again 🫡😔

The first “Subway” for my 11 year old son. A fairly small place but with a few tables and a high surface in front of the window, clean. Wide choice and possibilities to personalize your sandwich. The servers are smiling and wear gloves. The sandwiches were hot and very good. Not far from a metro station and on a pedestrian street with street food stands.

Decent cafe with full English and also Italian dishes, not many around in the city of London. We had a full English and a spaghetti amatriciana, which was tasty, good level of spicy and great value. There's seating upstairs with a TV screen.

Such a nice pub! Stephen and the whole team were so welcoming. I've been in customer services for 30+ years, and pride myself on giving the very best customer service. Well, I got exactly that here! The chicken burger and fries were delicious! I saw the head chef and shook his hand. My neighbour invited me for a pint at this pub that he's known for many years, and I was absolutely delighted It's open until midnight, and after 11 p.m., I noticed a lot of people coming in. I was amazed and delighted. As I say, 30+ years in customer services, and after a long shift, I get thirsty. Apparently I'm not alone. I was so pleased to see the place so full after 11, and the atmosphere was electric, with an excellent soundtrack of music. I drank more than I would have normally, precisely because of the atmosphere. It's such a nice pub! Directly opposite Walthamstow Central station. To Stephen and the whole team, I thank you, and I will see you again! Especially after an end of shift. I'll stay on the tube, two more stops passed mine, just to enjoy a very welcome pint, and cracking atmosphere. GO!

Delicioso desayuno huevos revueltos, hongo portabello masivo, salteado y 2 hachís morenos. . café perfecto servidor tan atento, trajo sal y azúcar extra. . Así que chaty (que uno ama) tenía un gran cabello también. .

Otra gran cena en el encantador Lansdowne - mejor pub amistoso en Londres de lejos! Servicio de primera clase; buena comida; una noche realmente gratificante. ¡Gracias! Zuleika dirige un equipo brillante, y establece el estándar para la bienvenida amable, servicio atento y buen humor confiable. ¡Qué estrella!

Went to this bar for NYE.. It was a shame they dint serve food or any snacks at all on NYE. Ofcourse everyone got there nice and early to avoid the crowd only to find out the kitchen was closed for the night. The staff was good and helpful. The bar sure offers an amazing view for the fireworks for NYE . Its a good pit stop..

Tuvimos la fiesta de cumpleaños de nuestro amigo aquí y lo pasamos muy bien. Buen buffet el equipo era muy servicial. Alguna nave interesante en tap. Volveremos.

Went with family members. Very friendly staff, great beer, sport on TV, good buzz [even early doors]. They booked good table for us. Were made very welcome. Food looked good, but had to leave early.

A lovely building and with the usual good wetherspoons prices but the staff are so miserable and the dirty plates just sat ignored even though the place was very quiet.

Yet another British pub that seems incapable of serving beer. Not a single draught available - all 'off'. Only the gassy stuff. Can you imagine a butcher that says ' no meat, but we have sausages'?. Never seemed to be a problem when this pub was a 'spoons - generally a choice of about five beers back then. Service pleasant enough, but I won't be bothering to go back - an attitude shared by others if the empty premises are any indication....
