Travellers Tavern in City of London, Westminster

A beautifully decorated pub, located near the Victoria Coach Station. I stopped by them to quench my thirst, after a trip from Portsmouth. OK service, good beer, I would come back.

Day trip to see sister act stopped here for breakfast, excellent value and the toast amazing, definitely worth a visit, returned for evening meal again recommend the burger

It's an accessible place. We went there to drink something before we left, and it was crowded. It was beautiful, British, and heavy.

I recently visited when me and my friends were in Victoria, it had a great atmosphere with friendly, helpful staff. I will definitely be returning!

Okay pub for a drink and some food whilst waiting for a coach. Food was tasty but took an absolute age to arrive, and the pub was full of unsavoury people.

Mi esposo y yo llegamos a la estación de autobuses de Victoria y estamos esperando a nuestro hijo. Era un día lluvioso, así que venimos a comer pescado y patatas fritas. La comida era deliciosa y el personal muy amable Magda especial, nos dio toda la información en la puerta y nos ayudó con todo. Ya está hecho para todos y nos vemos la próxima vez.

Decent place to stop off and enjoy yourselves. Would definitely recommend if you have nothing better to do.

Conveniently close to the Coach Station. Otherwise wouldn’t have bothered. Drinks were reasonably priced for London. Food was mediocre. I had the steak and kidney pudding which was lovely. The chips were overdone and the veg - what tiny amount there was, was overcooked frozen mush. Two others had chicken burgers which were ok but their fries were overdone. 2 people had hot chocolate pudding desert which came clock cold. It was so cold it was wearing a hat and scarf! Had to be sent back. One came back like warm the other came back and the chocolate was burnt. We didn’t send them back a third time as we had a coach to catch. The gents toilet was absolutley appalling. The toilet had aspersions of looking like a nightclub loo at 5am! That’s how bad it was. Luckily (in this case) one of our party had mobility issues so we were able to use the disabled loo - which was clean.

Pasamos dos días muy ocupados en Londres y terminamos en este encantador pub, antes de regresar a casa. Fue un ambiente tan amable, el personal era increíble y la comida deliciosa. Un final perfecto para dos días realmente buenos en Londres.

On a day trip to London to see a show at the Royal Albert Hall, we had been travelling for approximately 4 hours and we arrived late morning in London so we wanted to eat, we went to the Travellers Tavern because it was convenient. Probably not the best decision we had made, because it was so close to Victoria Coach Station there were many people who had either just arrived or were about to leave, the staff really could not be bothered and the food was just warm and acceptable, so will not use again when we travel to London

Greeted by a miserable lady working the bar. No worries, we all have bad days. Nice selection of beers. I ordered a burger... and waited... and waited. The 'chef' for the most part, was lounging at the bar, in his red chequered trousers and grimey rice krispie t-shirt, greasy bed hair darting off in all directions and filthy hands on show for all of the unfortunate customers about to sample his lacklustre food. Cold chips and bun, the burger was mediocre, grossly overpriced. I can't wait for it to come out in liquid form in about 4 hours. Get a chef that gives a ####

We went the 26th December for the breakfast, absolutely orribile. The service was terrible, the manager disappeared leaving one lady alone doing everything by herself. We waiting 50 min for 2 royal eggs. The salmon tasted really strange and the holandese sauce was bitter and with a strange color. The eggs were raw... terrible..

We came in for a drink and some food and as we waited for a friend who was outside at the front to join us so we could all order together the manager came to our table and announced that if we are not ordering right now we need to leave. Me and my friend felt completely discriminated against, it was completely inhumane and humiliating behaviour. After that discomfort that we felt in that moment we decided to take our custom elsewhere. It was a terrible first impression to take away I am absolutely appalled and will not be returning again or recommending anyone to dine or drink here in the future.

Tipico pub inglese, molto curato in ogni dettaglio e con quel senso di “casa” che lo rende confortevole e accogliente, decorato per Natale era una meraviglia, ottimo anche il cibo (burger e piatti tipici) e ovviamente la birra.Personale gentile e disponibile, ci tornerò sicuramente

Whilst waiting for my coach I decided to get some food at this pub, I had the fish and chips and a pint of neck oil, at first I thought it was a bit expensive comparing to my local pub however, the food, drink and service was amazing so at the ebd I wasn't bothered at all for the price.

This place is a void. A rip off and disgusting overcharged food. The Fish and chips was a real disaster. Fried and overcooked in a very old oil. All dark. And tasted horrible. They also charged 18£. Just had a small bottle of water. To drink. Strongly not recommended

Ordered 6 full English breakfast. Sausages undercooked and hard. Bacon stale. Eggs undercooked. Had to take them back, to be told we are wrong?! Disgusting service rude staff and all food is a health hazard avoid at all costs.

At the so called Travellers Tavern I bought Fish & Chip Goujons, described as Fish & chips bound together in a crisp batter with a mushy pea fritter and tartare sauce, for my granddaughter as there was no child menu option available. The portions were so minuscule such that I gave her some of my chips as she was so disappointed. Note that the fish and chips come as a battered mix...! At £5.49 it was a complete rip off. The other food bought was OK but very expensive £11.79 for a bacon burger and chips and the beer was £5 a pint.

The worst english breakfast ever! The food it was cold and tasteless, small portion of bacon, only the staff was gentle and professional. There are a lot of best places around the coach station to eat a better breakfast.

I would highly recommend to never come here! First you have to get somebody’s attention while a crowd orders at the bar. Then you wait 45 minutes for your food that honestly taste terrible. I would recommend throwing up in your own hand and eating that because the meal you had before this will be better as throw-up rather than to eat at this place. Please don’t spend your money here the beer is warm. The service is terrible and the food is worst than anything else.

Extreamly poor customer service for someone who has worked in customer service for over 20 years, I have never experienced poor customer care, generaly the aim to run a successful business is to esnure all customers leave happy and satified the was not the case for me nor my party. A simple error that could of easily been rectified with an apology... huge let down.

Ordered breakfast after a long morning of travelling from Cardiff to London, when receiving our food one was missing. The bar maid proceeded to inform us that we’d not paid for the additional breakfast however we had the receipt to prove that we did, we asked to speak with the manager who completely disregarded the situation and said “who’s paying for the extra breakfast!” We already PAID!! the manager did not want to discuss nor hear our grievances just pointed us to the nearest till! Poor customer service and poor food quality. Would only recommend using the place to use the toilets after a long journey for free.

We had all arrived just off a 4 hour megabus journey and decided to stop here for breakfast before going to our hotel. There were 7 of us in total with 1 6 year old and we were all paying separately and went to order as so! Anyway only 6 breakfasts arrived and they said we hadn’t paid for 1! They hadn’t brought my sons but he had a valid receipt, but that wasn’t sufficient for the manager he wanted another breakfast paid for. My friend Wendy who was the one missing , I was stood behind as she ordered toast on one and no toast on the other so the error on payment was his if he didn’t charge for 2!!! He did not apologise or offer any solution was just rude and refused to see how any of the error was his at all! The rest of his staff were lovely. He obviously has a huge chip on his shoulder and he needs to be mindful that managers lead by example!! His staff were highly more helpful than he was!!

If you like to have a drink in a pub close to Victoria station, it's ok. The atmosphere is cool, they have good beers. But don't eat there, the food is very bad, no tasty at all.

So I had 4 hours to waste with my friend and we wanted to try the Sunday roast.

I really enjoy finishing a trip around the capital with a couple of drinks in this pub. The staff are lovely and the old world feel of the place I find most welcoming and cozy. The food is the usual pub fayre but reasonably priced (especially for London) and quite well presented so no complaints here. It's location is also excellent for those leaving London via coach as the departure gate is directly across the road.

Great choice of drinks but if you're getting food go elsewhere. Waited almost 1 hour for the food as no one decided to bring it down to us. Food turned to be completely cold, tasteless and definitely expired. Customer service needs improvement too, the staff really don't seem to know what they are doing.

Travelled up from South Wales , arrived just after Nine AM so was really glad to find nice pub across road offering a breakfast , I had full English which was excellent washed down with a pint of London pride , wife had poached eggs on toast done to perfection with a whiskey and coke not our normal breakfast but one we enjoyed Sky sports on and pleasant Staff thank you Nige and Jan South Wales

Handily situated right across from the Victoria Bus terminal. You have to order your food and drinks at the bar. The first bar tender I got a menu from was very friendly. The second one I ordered from could have cared less. They deliver the food. We both bangers and mash and it was quite tasty. That and 1 glass of wine came to 23 pounds. It was hot and stuffy inside so we sat on the patio. Lots of people smoking out there so if you don’t like smoke stay inside.

Ordered big fish and chips and took more than 20 minutes to serve. When it arrived, scampi was missing and I had to follow up (instead of them saying that it's missing upon serving and it will follow). Fish was a bit bland.

Went here as it's a Greene King pub and opposite Victoria Coach Station so handy for our trip.

Nei due giorni fatti a Londra siamo stati in questo pub per le due colazioni e la cena. Colazione inglese molto buona, la seconda mattina che siamo stati i primi ad ordinare all'apertura (ore 9) abbiamo atteso pochissimo prima di mangiare. Arrivando dopo, visto anche l'afflusso, i tempi di attesa si allungano. Buono anche il cappuccino. Per la cena ottimo Fish and Chips e buona anche la scelta di birre. Un ringraziamento speciale ad Eva molto gentile nel soddisfare le nostre richieste.

Llegamos esta mañana para un desayuno rápido antes de que nuestro entrenador volviera a casa, el servicio estaba "bien" para comenzar, pero luego de esperar 25 minutos para nuestra comida, mi amigo fue a preguntarle al caballero un gerente que diría que dijo un par de minutos sin incluso después de más de unos minutos, nuestra comida salió mal y fría, cuando la camarera regresó para terminar de dar el resto de la comida, le dije que el desayuno estaba frío, etc. ¡resopló y se fue sin disculparse, nada! Mal servicio pobre!

Do Travellers Tavern przy Elizabeth Street 4 w Londynie trafiłem całkowicie przypadkiem. Do odjazdu autobusu do Polski z Victoria Station pozostało mi trochę czasu, więc postanowiłem wpaść i zjeść jakiś dobry obiad przepijając nieznanym mi piwem. Ryba z frytkami była znakomita, a wybrane przeze mnie belgijskie piwo Stella Artois podane w odpowiednim szkle w towarzystwie flagi Wielkiej Brytanii po prostu przednie. Lokal i obsługa zrobiły na mnie jak najlepsze wrażenie. Polecam to miejsce!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Perfectly situated near Victoria coach station for weary travellers such as myself and I was thoroughly impressed. I ordered the Old Epping Sausages and Mash which had a unique flavour which I highly recommend. The bar was staffed by friendly and helpful staff who made my meal enjoyable and relaxing.

In attesa della partenza dell'autobus per l'aeroporto, abbiamo pranzato in questo locale situato proprio di fronte a Victoria Bus Station. Abbiamo aspettato un pò seduti al tavolo prima di accorgerci che dovevamo ordinare in cassa. questo ha fatto si che non si è potuto gustare a pieno i piatti ordinati (arrivati al tavolo dopo circa venti minuti) a causa del poco tempo disponibile. Piatti abbondanti e buoni. Prezzo in linea con la zona. Essendo un locale prevalentemente dedicato ai viaggiatori, avrei preferito un servizio più attento e veloce.

I called in for half an hour today before I caught my coach. Very happy with my pint (also allowed a taste before choosing) but VERY disappointed with the food. My pictures tell the story: pic of menu description & price and pic of my food. Based on the description I expected a small portion of chips. I will not buy a Small Plate again. .

Some of the reviews of this place were not too good and we were a bit wary but we went because it was so close to Victoria train and coach stations. We were pleasantly surprised and ended up going there twice in the week, when we met a friend and when we took her back to the coach station. The first time we had roasted tomato soup, which was delicious and the second time we had a main meal. The staff were friendly and helpful, service was reasonably quick and the place was clean. We shall bear it in mind for a future occasion.

It is next to the Victoria Coach Station with large beer selection, kind staff and amazing food. I ate here my first original English Breakfast and it exceeded my expectations. We took here a chillfull rest between two bus.

Un pub Greene King estándar que ofrece una buena variedad de bebidas, comidas y aperitivos, y está convenientemente ubicado justo enfrente de la estación de autobuses Victoria. La decoración es típica de este tipo de pub de Londres, con muchos paneles de color marrón oscuro y latón. Mientras estaba lleno, nuestro grupo de tres pudo encontrar un asiento en la parte de atrás debajo de la pantalla del proyector, y mientras se mostraba el fútbol, el volumen no era tan alto que no pudiéramos hablar y los demás clientes que estaban mirando El juego estaba bastante relajado.

El personal es muy amable, muy servicial, nada es un problema para ellos, hacen que su estancia sea muy acogedora y que se sienta como en casa. El pub está limpio y ordenado. Los baños están limpios, no tenían nada bueno, pero lo que vi fue muy bueno para ver, lo que te hace sentir hambre, volverás cuando esté en el área de nuevo y tendré que probar la comida la próxima vez, un buen trabajo para todos, continúa el trabajo duro

Very convenient for Victoria Coach Station. Seems to be busy at all times of the day. Various options for breakfast, but I selected the steak breakfast which was well presented and served quickly. Not the most tender of steaks, but quite acceptable.

Arriving from Bristol I decided to have a quick pint whilst waiting for my friends to pick me up but ended up having 5, the pub felt very cosy as it had some nice Xmas music on and they were also serving some decent mulled wine, however what impressed me the most was the outside decor of around 15 live Xmas trees with some nice warm lights, it was very rare for a pub to have invested on that many trees and for the attention to detail that seem to have gone on decorating them, service was friendly too, what more I could have asked at Xmas in a London pub?

The pub /restaurant looks really warm and inviting. after a delayed bus that took me 8 hours to get to Victoria it looked the perfect spot to get something to eat. the staff were lovely. very friendly and warm. unfortunately the food was disgusting. I got the sharer platter for £13.99. it was pretty inedible. there were two mini beef burger sliders and the beef burgers were like rubber and could not be chewed. the mini fish bits were not completely cooked in the middle and a bit transparent still instead of white. the chips and chicken wings were awful very dry and tasteless. I was too depressed to go and complain after the delayed bus and then this. I would like a reply though as you must know this is how your food is

Pop in today after my way back home from hospital. This place looks so great, very warm and your can feel Christmas right in the corner. I had a nice mulled wine and felt so cozy like at home. Everyone was so friendly and nice to me and also my little baby. People around me made me feel like few years ago when I spent Christmas with my family and closest friends. They just made my day. I’ll come back as soon I can.

As far as a London pub goes its what you would expect. Appart from the gents toilets. If you need to go, I suggest you pop across the road to the coach station. The toilets are stainless steel, with narrow wooden slats, feces all around wood and back, availed disgusting, I'm surprised environmental health arnt aware. They have a hourly cleaning rota and was filled out twice early morning so obviously they don't follow their own procedures.

A good Pub to have something to eat or a drink while waiting for your coach. A pint of Fosters is £4.80!

Ottimo pub che si trova in una delle uscite di Victoria Station. Ambiente tipico del pub britannico, frequentato da inglesi che si ritrovano spesso per vedere in tv lepartite di calcio e rugby. Buona varietà di birre alla spina (non ho controllato se anche in bottiglia), ma soprattutto ho mangiato uno dei migliori fish and chips di Londra. In 2 abbiamo speso 20 euro a testa (fish and chips e birra), a mio avviso in linea con altri pub, ma la qualità era davvero ottima. Lo consiglio, anche perché quando si arriva a Victoria Station è un buon inizio per ambientarsi al meglio.

Oggi pomeriggio, dopo un lungo viaggio in autobus dall'aeroporto di Gatwick sono arrivato affamato a Victoria Station. Uscendo dalla stazione dei pullman ho adocchiato questo storico pub che invita ad entrare. Un bel locale col menù esposto all'esterno. Il pub alle 13 era quasi vuoto, il che non è un segnale positivo. Era pubblicizzato come piatto del giorno il fish & chips. Il servizio è stato veloce ma distratto: il piatto era stato ordinato con contorno di purè di piselli ma è arrivato con piselli interi. Si sono scusati e hanno portato in un secondo momento una scodellina a parte col purè richiesto. Il pesce era unto e poco gustoso come pure le patate fritte. In una ciotolina è arrivata una salsa gravy e una maionese all'aglio. Nel piatto c'era anche una cipolla sottaceto tagliata a metà. Il pesce si è rivelato difficile da digerire per la sua pesantezza. Ottima la birra, una Guinness fresca al punto giusto e con un dito di crema sulla superficie: un pallino va alla birra e uno al locale.

After a long trip from Heathrow and much further to go I needed a break, and what a treat this was. Friendly and helpful staff, food quickly arrived, and tasty too. Fairly busy being outside Victoria coach station, but they are geared up for it.

Visited here on a recent trip to London, this place is situated right outside Victoria coach station arrivals,after getting off my coach i was pretty hungry so i decided to try here, i'm very glad i did, i ordered a steak and ruddles ale pie with mash and peas, i was half expecting a cheap tasting pie like so many pubs (that chain that has sprouted up everywhere being the main one) serve these days, but i was pleasantly surprised with the quality and taste of the food, recommended!

Had to visit Ghent in Belgium for a photoshoot job so travelled across the economy way via coach and ended up visiting the Travellers Tavern on a couple of occasions within a couple of days.

Pleasant surprise to find nicely appointed pub with good selection of real ales directly opposite an overrun and over busy coach station, worth fighting your way through the dross smoking outside to get to the pub which was serving decent food till 10pm and staff very accommodating as to putting what you wanted on tv screens. Dont wait in the station, wait here. you may miss your bus but it will be worth it!

We visited for Friday and again tonight. Friday was nice we had fish and chips which was good if a little over priced at a location which isn’t near the sea so obviously the cod is frozen. Service was slow, and they don’t check back on your food while you’re eating which is quite a shame as they would get a higher rating for that. None of the staff are English but do speak it exceptionally well and are very friendly if a little unorganised.

Right next to the bus station, great if you want a beer after the bus from the airport, but the toilet in the bathroom was the worst toilet I have ever seen in my life, ever!!, with no seat. The bar staff were very indifferent, almost as if it were a bother to serve us.
