The best restaurants serving British food in London

Popped in for a pint/s to watch the Arsenal game. Barmaid served 3 people before me then completely ignored me. Left to find a more welcoming pub. (Obviously looking after the locals)

Firstly, I made a pick up order the day before for 14:30pm I came on time and was told to wait an extra 30 minutes even though I was late to an event. If this was not enough this establishment also proved to be racist and discriminative and the have a self serve juice fridge and a man of colour approached the fridge to pick up some drinks to take to the til to pay and 3 workers ran up to him grabbing him accusing him of attempting to steal and as a person of colour myself this made me extremely uncomfortable yet the man kept composure and still bought from them. Quite frankly I am extremely disappointed you guys should really learn basic customer service skills.

Visited here today to warm up and shelter from the rain ahead of a walk up Primrose Hill. The staff were lovely and friendly and the toilet was clean. Best cinnamon bun in London and what a generous measure of hot strong coffee! The toasted sandwiches looked amazing will definitely have one next time ❤️

Metimos en un bocado para comer con mi pareja, aunque el menú es limitado, lo que hay es bueno, el personal es excelente y muy acogedor. El lugar tiene un ambiente muy agradable, perfecto para una bebida tranquila y algo para picar. La decoración es muy suave, que es un cambio agradable para un pub. Las tapas es muy recomendable. Para simplemente una copa con los amigos o con la pareja.

Just dreadful. The long wait and the food which was beneath average. Awful service as well. The waiters couldn't care less...

Un dulce pub británico con un fabuloso menú de comida fresca y entretenimiento en vivo. Admiramos los pequeños toques dentro de este ambiente acogedor. Apreciamos nuestra selección de sabrosa comida, 3 platos, hechos más dulces con el toque personal de una delicada ginebra para mejorar la experiencia culinaria. ¡Restricciones dietéticas bien cuidadas! Trigo, frutos secos y lácteos libres! Entrada de sopa, delicioso asado para el domingo principal presentado con (entre otras cosas) increíbles spuds y latigazos de salsa bien condimentada : ) si quieres eso. Una comida de 3 platos bellamente preparada terminada con un crumble sin gluten. Un equipo atento trabaja duro para clientes felices. Un ambiente agradable. Esperamos volver a visitarlo.

Wanted so badly to love this place but it was a total letdown. My friend booked the back room at Gunmaker’s for his 25th birthday and they were the most passive aggressive, ungracious hosts I’ve ever experienced. Just unfriendly, cold energy from the moment we walked in and a total apathy for their patrons. Tacos were mediocre and guacomole was more tomato than avocado. Made it abundantly clear that they didn’t want us there by 10 even though the place didnt close until 11. Take your business somewhere it’ll be appreciated.

Nos encanta visitar Burgh House. Es un placer sentarse y disfrutar del jardín y es tan relajante. Hemos estado muchas veces a lo largo de los años y siempre es un lugar relajante. La razón para escribir es que también hemos comido en el café muchas veces a lo largo de los años y generalmente está bien. Pero nuestra última visita fue tan decepcionante que quería solicitar más atención a la cocina y el menú. Pedimos una porción de sopa y ensalada y cuando llegó la sopa era insípida y apenas había ensalada con ella, solo un par de pedazos de cohete También pedimos una ensalada de queso de cabra. Este consistía en un plato de cohete seco, un puñado de nueces, unos trozos de achicoria y un trozo de queso de cabra. No había aderezo con la ensalada y tampoco nos ofrecieron ninguno. Junto con dos cafés el almuerzo costó £ 29 y fue tan decepcionante. Así que por favor piense de nuevo en lo que está ofreciendo, ya que no es difícil mejorar eso y no hemos tenido motivos para quejarnos antes. (Tal vez el chef estaba enfermo ese fin de semana y fue uno reciente - apagado, pero nos ha pospuesto ir allí para una comida por el momento).

Do not waste your money here. There are far better places to eat along the same street. Service was appalling. Not friendly and not efficient in the least. Left with dirty plates for ages, wasn’t asked if we wanted a third course, just presented with the bill. Food was ok, nothing special. Service was the worst part. Don’t bother with this place.

I asked if they had any vegan croissant and the guy said to me he could make an avocado toast, but he then said, that’s not really vegan, right? It’s political. Will never go again.

good coffee nice staff croissants and cakes fresh very good thanks i like that they serve normal size coffee cups not a bucket of a coffee which tastes of nothing but warm brown water like some other chains

Fantástico sándwich de ternera salada y patatas fritas, los chicos son muy amables, la comida se sirvió rápidamente y estaba caliente / fresco. ¡Vibraciones de Nueva York! Muy recomendable

The Restaurant area is comparatively large with tables well-spaced out. There is a full length, ceiling-to-floor, glass wall at the back, allowing plenty of natural light by day. A perfect setting to start with… Having ordered chicken satay skewers, as starter, it was disappointing to get very thin pieces of chicken on wooden skewers. It was served with exceedingly dilute something that passed for satay sauce, having no flavour of peanuts at all. On enquiring I understood this whole item came out of a packet! That explained the pedestrian quality. For entrée I ordered chicken tikka curry which, according to the description on the menu. should have consisted of roasted, marinated chicken chunks in a mild spiced sauce, served with basmati rice, naan and poppadum. When it was brought to the table, the curry was exceedingly hot, as if it had just been taken out of the microwave. And indeed, when I asked, it was admitted that the curry too was brought from elsewhere and just heated up. The naan was soggy and very unlike what a naan should be. Big disappointment that no real cooking happens in their kitchen! Not even sure if they actually employ a chef… So, one suggestion would be that this place should properly be renamed Westway Microwave Kitchen!

We nipped in here for a drink after visiting the Chinese restaurant opposite. Decent enough spot, but a bit too loud for us all.
